i’m actually grateful for apple tv+ who seems to be able to believe in their tv shows despite ‘low’ ratings.
based on wikipedia, they have 76 ongoing shows (drama + comedy):
- 27 of them were ended but 13 of them had at least 2 seasons which brings us to a 18% cancellation rate after their first season
- 18 of them (23%) were miniseries so their end is justified
- 21 of them are renewed but if if you add the 13 series that had at least 2 seasons, this brings us to a total of 35 shows that were renewed which is a 46% ratio renewal rate
apple tv+ renews half of their shows and i think we should be thankful for them in a time where netflix and amazon cancels 90% of their shows

I know that Neil knowing nothing about pop culture is funny, and I fully agree he really has no idea, but I feel like hes really really good at lying about it. cause if you think about it, kid who has no idea what star wars is or the most popular singers is a kid youll remember, and Neil was always trying to be the most forgettable person possible. So I think that he has a surface level knowledge of most pop culture that is just enough to lie about what he knows

i’ve been telling my friends that i’m watching the x files, and it’s so funny to hear people’s reactions. the show is older than my friends and i, so they don’t fully understand it or have a baseline familiarity.
i told friend one over facetime, and there was a pause as she looked it up real quick. she then said “i didn’t know gillian anderson was in this” and i started laughing because yeah, that’s the whole point!!! she’s amazing in it!!!
and i told another friend this morning that i just finished watching an episode about a shapeshifting wolf, and she was like “oh. i didn’t know it had supernatural stuff” and again i started laughing because yeah, that’s the whole point!!
this is not to shame or tease them at all, by the way. those same friends have tried to explain what exactly goes on in doctor who and psych and grey’s to me, and i have had very similar reactions. it’s just so funny to have that exchange of “bestie, what on EARTH is going on in your shows?”

I love Zombie shows with my whole heart but god damn do the first episodes always piss me off, cause every character has a bad case of dumb bitch disease©️.
Like you just watched your son run over a man TWICE and he still didn't die, you are trying to actively leave the city to avoid the oncoming apocalypse, AND YET, you see your boss covered in blood and growling and it can't possibly be the same for him right?
Anyways enjoying Fear The Walking Dead so far.

Hello, I'm an"I need more episodes per season" end-of-year rant.
I don't need to come back to 24 episodes seasons per say, but what's with all these 6 or 8 episodes only seasons ?
Honestly, when the 6 episodes are about 30 minutes long and are all released in one go, it just seems like I've seen a movie when I'm done.
And don't get me started on all these 6-8 ĂŠpisodes shows that are canceled right away, only to be replaced by new 6-8 episodes shows that will also be canceled right away. Are these mini-series or what ?
Oh, and I almost forgot about those shows that make you wait for at least two years before releasing their new season, that is if they're lucky enough to survive beyond their first one.
In the end, I'm so grateful for all the multi-seasons sitcoms and dramas that have been produced until now. These are the ones I always come back to when I'm feeling down, because, as imperfect as they are, I love the characters and I had time to grow attached to them.
End of rant.

I use to get sad thinking about the Mandalorian ending, and I still do to an extent, but it’s mostly…relief? Happiness? Season three just…. I don’t know. Changed the tone of everything and I hope the movie can “fix” some of the disaster that was season 3.
No seriously like... this is how I'm feeling in the sense of... I'm also just ready to stop seeing people trash this show/these characters all the time. I'm exhausted like sldkjsdlkfj I'm so tired of seeing all the hate and if ending the show will end that, too, then so be it 😭

okay, but seriously fuck netflix for never committing to more than 1-2 seasons of a show, especially when it comes to book adaptations!

i only have one thing to say about episode three of percy jackson: i am obsessed with jessica parker kennedy’s portrayal of medusa.
the minute she stepped out and started talking i would’ve gone running in for those cheeseburgers, will i be turned to stone? will i become a friend? who knows, all i know is jessica parker kennedy.

We shouldn't assume people's sexualities or gender. You don't know anyone's identity until they tell it to you, yes.
But also queer people just know, we can sense the queerness. It's not the same

my brain: hey all these ideas we have for how we would do a Batman/Gotham tv show, we could just write a fanfic about-
me, already in the middle of three long and involved fanfics that have spiraled out of my control: YOU KEEP YOUR FUCKING WHORE MOUTH SHUT
