Not surprised since this is the site that only talks about racism and thinks it’s a big deal when they see it demonstrated in the cartoons and comics they like *coughs* dungeonmeshi *coughs* (for example at least. I haven’t seen THIS many white ppl talk as in depth about racism on here as much as these fandom nerds, man. I stg. Like “Ohhhh, so you all DO acknowledge that racism is real? Just not in real life even if you could feel it slapping you in the face at high speed. Gotcha.” It’s crazy.

Tumblr is like, 90% white and is extremely centered around them. That’s why you barely see stuff that’s important to black and brown people ever trending here or being talked about. It has to be something incredibly huge to the point where even white people can’t ignore it like they usually do, to talk about it here.

They only talked about George Floyd here because the topic of his death became world news. Even people in other countries were talking about it. Before him, it was probably Ferguson and Trayvon Martin… most of them are still trying their best to ignore the genocides because it’s a “touchy subject.” What do you expect from white people who live in their own bubbles of comfort and refuse to pop it with a needle??? They find comfort in their privilege and faux ignorance (they love playing stupid to avoid conversations about important things outside of fandoms like, are these mfs born with half a brain dedicated to fandom or what.) That’s literally all these mfs make a big deal out of, especially on this annoying ass platform. The ao3 mfs will go to war for the site that allows racist ff and cp like it’s no big deal. I wonder how many people here even donated to the site while actively scrolling past dono posts from folks who really do need help. They act like they’re doing a civil service by defending this site that makes over the amount of it’s intended dono goal in minutes.

Then you already know as soon as you even bring up racism in the stuff they like, they start ganging up and harassing black bloggers especially, calling them TERFs and the whole nine. Anything to make that person look bad for being concerned about the racism that they have such an intense aversion to. God, it’s absolutely exhausting knowing that these people would have no problem choosing a cartoon character over your entire existence if they COULD. Isn’t that fucking sad, man?

Sometimes I think living in the south made it almost inevitable for me to be into bigger people. Everywhere I go I see someone who was raised on heavy fattening food and their bodies reflect it. Good homestyle, country cooking that can’t help but stick to you if you live down here long enough. It’s to the point that my concept of chubby, thick and fat were skewed long before discovering the feedism community. Online I will sometimes see people say that xyz person is really big but where I’m from they’d be considered average size. If almost everyone you see is at minimum overweight, if not straight up obese, your baseline of what’s normal will begin to shift.

That’s why whenever I see “average” sized people, I’m instinctively like “omg they are so thin!”. Cuz to my deep-south feedist brain, not having a double chin, plush upper arms, a protruding belly, back rolls, nor thunder thighs means that you aren’t eating enough. Like if your thighs don’t touch when you walk, is everything okay at home? If you aren’t at least pleasantly plump then people would assume that you’re down on your luck, and struggling to the point that you can’t even eat well. Want to quell rumors about your finances? Make sure that the number on the scale starts with at least a 2, if you want to get people off your case.

The stereotype of a slightly-pushy older woman nearly force-feeding you food isn’t that far off depending on whose home you’re visiting and the women I know believe the love organ is your stomach. Just this past Fourth of July, I was asked several times is that all I’m eating and do I want any more despite me having quite a bit of food and 2 plates of dessert. In my world there aren’t 5 love languages but actually 6 with the sixth one being food.

So being raised in that sort of environment, it’s not a shocker that my eyes naturally linger on curvier, thicker individuals. Despite mainstream social media trying to convince me otherwise, how could I reject what has always naturally enthralled me? If they ain’t thicker than a snicker they ain’t for me. If they don’t jump to pull on their jeans then they gotta leave. If the local fast food places doesn’t know them by name then it’s not meant to be.

he leans against the wall, taking shallow breaths that burn as their pass through his throat. the boy in question spins around, black eye and busted lip but otherwise unharmed.

“pone? what’s- oh god-“

he takes a step forward, mouth open yet silent with his hands waving back and forth in a desperate repetitive motion.

pony gags as the sick iron taste of blood hits the back of his mouth, tongue jutting over his incisor as he tries to keep his breathing as steady as he can.

“okay- okay sit down.” curly pushes him down by his shoulders before pulling off his leather jacket and holding it out to pony. when he tilts his head curiously he rolls his eyes, shaking it in his hand. “to put pressure on it.”

pony nods, doing as he’s told as the pain washes throughout his body.

curly looked around hurriedly in search for a phone box, lip caught between his teeth.

“i’m gonna go- i’ll be back i’ll just call darry- or, or two bit? sodapop?”

pony shakes his head, holding out hand for curly to take.

“curly- curly, if this kills me-.”

the other grits his teeth shaking his head feverishly. “no- no pone-“

“no, shut up. if i die- you gotta make it out. you gotta tell dar and soda that they have to help you get outta this town. got it?”

curly shakes his head again, kneeling down next to pony as the blood drips onto the floor in a mocking painting of his shadow.

ponyboy inhales sharply, muttering low curses under his breath as the pool of blood flows faster. as it spreads beneath him, spreads around him.

Aizo: He’s more ambitious than anyone I know, and he works really hard as proof of it. But that’s exactly why I want him to fix the fact that he can’t be honest, y’know? He should just say so if something’s too hard or if he’s troubled by something on his mind. To me, it looks like he’s reluctant to show others that part of him. We’ve been together for a long time, so I wish he’d depend on me a little more.

Yujiro: Keep this between us, but the fact that he’s too kind worries me… Regardless of whether he’s confided in or not, he’d take it upon himself to get involved, and he’d get engulfed by the surrounding negativity and grow depressed as well… I wish he’d show more of his kindness to himself too.
