‘So… What am I meant to do with this?’ Grian cocked his head to the side, bringing the trinket you had just handed him closer to his face. To the best of his knowledge, it was merely a soda tab—nothing extraordinary or worth anything. Although, he had to admit its metallic shimmer was quite admirable.

‘You collect soda tabs with the fulcrum intact and give them to someone, normally a partner,’ you explained. You pointed to the point where the tab would normally be connected to a can by. ‘They give them back to you in exchange for a kiss.’

Grian lowered his hand, flipping the tab in the air with a satisfying click each time it landed atop his nail. His eyes made a beeline for yours, holding your gaze for a long moment before saying, ‘So… if I give this back to you…?’ Your head tilted backwards slightly in order to give him a nod of confirmation, but the moment he caught the direction you were moving your head he tossed it back at you. ‘Well?’

His wings surround you in a familiar embrace, shielding the world’s view of you as your lips meet.

‘Building the back of your base requires a lot of fuel, you know!’

‘Three hundred and thirty eight cans though?’ You stare at the pile of soda tabs lying in front of you. ‘It’s the shimmer. Birds can’t resist shiny things,’ you tease.

Grian shrugged. ‘Nor can I resist you.’

‘Charming, bird boy.’ Your eyes wander back up to meet his once again. Sighing, you accept your fate. ‘Pucker up, Buttercup.’

I've been slowly obsessing more and more about asoiaf fashion in the past 6 month, and really developing in details how it would look in different regions, classes, etc (the North being the one I have the most complete picture on). And I wanted to put some of this to paper instead of endlessly turning it in my head before I go to sleep. Usually when I costume design it is confined to a specific character, I've never done like worldbuilding fashion design, but idk asoiaf really gets me going.

So here's the North ! I could have kept going and added more stuff, but if I try to spew all the shit that's in my head I'm never gonna finish this x) So I focused mostly on great houses/nobles fashion for this. Maybe I'll do a sheet for smallfolk or practical clothing like battle armour after I'm done with all the kindoms. I already have to continue the anti AI quest...

are people seriously not understanding that the whole point of colin's arc this season is him trying to be something he's not??

like sure the brothel scenes are a little weird and jarring but like they're meant to be??? because he's not actually that into it, he's just trying to do what all the other men his age are doing so he can fit in??

the writers aren't trying to 'turn him into anthony or simon' or make him a rake because that's what we're used to - HE'S trying to turn HIMSELF into anthony or simon or basically any of the other guys who this comes naturally to; who enjoy sleeping with lots of different people somewhat emotionlessly and don't get lonely because of it (and no judgement to that it's just not him)

he literally kisses Pen ONCE and absolutely loses his mind over it because its obviously never felt like that for him before. that moment is his 'oh so that's what that's supposed to feel like' moment and that's how he knows he's in love with her its literally so good???

i understand people feel like its rushed but honestly to me it feels perfectly in character for him to discover the solution to his loneliness he's been searching for all this time and immediately dive into it headfirst. that moment right at the end of ep4 where he asks her to marry him is the most authentic colin i think we've seen all season. he's sweet and funny and playful and passionate and impulsive - he's finally stopped trying to be someone he's not and now that he knows who he is and what he wants he's all in.
