x MARVEL CROSSOVER x
Marinette knew that Tom Dupain wasn't her biological father. Nonetheless, she loved him and he loved her. He married her mother when she was two and have been inseparable ever since.
On the other side, her biological father was a prick.
He first came to visit her after she developed a ... rather interesting set of abilities. She was five when that happened. Her mother had somehow contacted him and, even though he doubted it, he came.
It is safe to say that he was beyond shocked when he saw that Marinette was his spitting image, not counting the blue eyes. She had a mischievous smile and sharp eyes, carrying herself like royalty, worthy of the title of the daughter of the god of mischief.
That day, Loki found out he had a demigoddess daughter.
While he was reluctant at first, the little girl grew on him. He visited at least twice a month, mainly to help her control her powers but also to let her know that he actually cared about her, to ensure that he wasn't with her like his father was with him. No other Asgardian knew about Marinette and he would like to keep it that way. There was no need for his brother of father to swoop in and ruin everything.
As the years passed their bond became unbreakable. Marinette still thought that Loki was a prick and an idiot at times but she wouldn't have it any other way. Life was boring anyway, why not sprinkle it with a little bit of mischief?
When she became Ladybug, he knew. He called out Tikki as soon as he stepped in her room and her parents were out of hearing range.
"Tikki, you can come out. You should know better by now."
Marinette was dumbfounded when the goddess came out from behind some books, with a pout and with her arms crossed.
"I knew it. Trixx did say that you came to Midgard and Marinette looks like a miniature female version of yourself."
"I'm actually surprised the guardian gave her the Ladybug miraculous. I would've guessed she would have been a better fox."
"She is a very good match for me too. Her soul is a creative one, but yes, she would be a perfect fox."
"Um... Can I get in the loop too?"
The two gods turned to her. Marinette had her arms crossed, tapping her foot on the floor. Loki gave her a sheepish smile.
"I am a God, Marigold, I do know the other gods too."
The day passed talking with the two deities about all sorts of things, Tikki especially scolding him for the New York disaster, Marinette joining her. It happened before she was born so even if he changed it was still a horrible thing
"Look, daddy issues are a pain to deal with. I was very angry."
"Dad, it's no excuse to be an asshole."
"I know." Loki rolled his eyes then grinned. "But what's this I'm hearing about from Tikki about a boy?"
Marinette flushed, glaring at the offender, now munching on a cookie, her eyes sparkling with laughter. She was shaking her head and vigorously gesturing with her hands.
"Nope. I'm not talking with you about this and, Odin forbid, if I see you around him I'll cut your macaron supply."
Loki only raised his hands in surrender, laughing heartedly. He wouldn't dare cross his daughter, so he swore, between tears of laughter, that he would keep his distance.
"But if he breaks your heart I'll throw him in Jotunheim."
                                                         ...
A few years later, when Lila came around he knew. There was no mistaking the dimming of the fire in her soul. He could see that she didn't want to talk about it by the way she was dodging the subject so he had to take the matter in his own hands.
He shapeshifted into a horsefly and flew after her when she went to school. It took a lot of his power to hide from Marinette's sight but if was worth it. Now he knew why she started closing in on herself.
Loki could admire a good lie. After all he was the god of trickery, lies and deceit. But this girl spouting off the worst lies he ever heard. Not only were they ridiculous, they were also completely devoid of any drop of truth. That was the base of any good lie, and she was lacking it entirely. What confused him more what that some of her classmates believed her. Only a handful others didn't seem to believe her, one of which was a blond boy that looked at the leech, glued to his hand, with disgust. By his aura Loki assumed he was the holder of the Black Cat.
He confronted Marinette when she came back from school. Some of the lies were concerning, they were hurting his daughter and he couldn't let it fly. He assumed the harpy was set on Marinette because she wouldn't buy her lies. That was not surprising, she could see even though his best lies.
"I know, Marigold."
Marinette knew what he meant. She inhaled deeply and looked around.
"Can we go somewhere else, outside of Paris?"
The furrowed his brows, getting more concerned by the second. He couldn't read her in that moment. He could read most people like an open book, but that was his daughter. She knew how to hide things from him.
"Yes. Tell your parents, we don't want to concern them."
After she told her parents that she would go with Loki on a short trip, he opened a portal to a high rooftop over a city. She could feel the darkness of it, potent and corrupting. She figured that was why her father would bring her there, no one would notice them. As soon as the portal closed, she broke down. She hugged him, crying into his chest.
"I'm so tired, dad. The responsibility of Ladybug, Lila and her lies, half of my class turned against me, Hawkmoth just sending out akuma after akuma, it's just so much."
He let her cry, hugging her closely and patting her head. Even after all these years he didn't know how to properly comfort his daughter but it was something he actively was working for.
"But I assume you still don't want me to help?"
"The Avengers or The Justice League would notice if you do something. I managed to keep them away, for the time being, but I doubt they would hesitate coming if they heard that you came into a highschool, knives flying after a teenage girl or if you burnt down half of Paris searching for Hawkmoth."
She sighed, sitting on the edge of roof.
"I can handle it, I think. It's hard but I can manage it. I have Chat Noir and the others, we will succeed."
"You know that I will always be by your side if you need me, right?"
"Of course, dad." She hugged him once more, not letting go for some time.
When she calmed down, she asked him to get them to Paris.
"Dad, where was that? I've never felt a more malicious feeling to a place in my entire life."
"Gotham City. That place holds a centuries long curse."
Marinette nodded then hugged her father one more time before he left. She then went on her balcony, sketchbook and laptop in her hands. The afternoon sun was providing perfect lighting for sketching. She set aside the sketchbook for the moment, opening the laptop. She heard about Gotham from Alya when she was gushing about the vigilantes. She wasn't especially interested about them so she listened politely but forgot everything the next day.
Gotham was dubbed the Crime Capital, which was not surprising. The maliciousness surrounding the city was overwhelming, even if she was there for only a few minutes short of an hour. She could only imagine what that could do to the locals. A meeting with Fu after her patrol that night was mandatory.
Apparently he knew about the situation in Gotham. An old friend kept him updated. He confessed that he wanted to talk with her about it but decided to tell her when she was prepared. Fighting that kind of corruption would be hard and it would take years. They decided to put a pin in it and deal with it after they defeated Hawkmoth. Marinette did NOT need this on her plate now.
                                                          ...
Things got a little complicated when Wonder Woman decided to drop by. It was night, just a few hours after an akuma attack. Ladybug had to patrol on her own, Chat Noir was held back in his civilian life. She caught Ladybug on the Eiffel Tower, just when she was finishing her round.
"Ladybug."
"Wonder Woman. I wasn't aware that you would be coming by."
"I apologize, but this is important. Your presence is required at a summit between The Avengers and The Justice League. Some discussions will be about the situation in Paris and as the city is in your jurisdiction, you are invited to attend."
Marinette felt like she didn't tell the whole truth but agreed, under the condition to bring Chat Noir too. They were a team.
Loki wanted to come along but Marinette shot the idea down quickly. The was a chance that Thor would notice and everything would go south very quickly. She didn't need an international incident on her hands. The others didn't trust Loki but they were civil with each other after the brothers made amends and he helped them a couple of times. Still, she didn't think they would appreciate Marinette bringing an unauthorized guest.
                                                           ...
A few weeks later they were in a secret base in the Alps. After she got the coordinates of the location she used the horse miraculous to get there. They were fairly early, only a few members of both teams being present. Batman with his team, Thor, Wonder Woman, Black Widow, Winter Soldier and Green Arrow.
Batman was the first one to greet her, soon after she closed the portal.
"Tikki, Kaalki, divide."
The horse kwami landed in her hand, where a sugar cube was waiting for her. She then nestled on top of her head. She slid the glasses there too, for easy access, just in case.
"Ladybug, glad you could come." Batman greeted her cordially. She shook his outstretched hand.
"Of course. After all, I was said this was concerning us."
Before Batman could say anything, a man dressed in black, with a blue bird symbol on his chest jumped in front of her, grinning like a child.
"I can't believe it, you are a real magical girl!"
Ladybug took a step back, blinking, a little shocked by the grown man's reaction.
"Tt. Nightwing, be professional."
"Yeah Wingman, you're going to scare the little Pixie."
"Ignore them, they are idiots." Said one of them, coming beside her. She identified him as Red Robin, one of Batman's... Associates? It felt wrong to call him a sidekick. That would be Robin.
"Red Robin. The idiots there are Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin."
"Pleasure meeting you." She smiled to them warmly. Robin narrowed his eyes, looking at her head.
"What is that?" He asked, taking a step closer to take a better look. Kaalki flew in his face, indignated.
"I'm a goddess, you oaf." Robin took a step back, hands on his katana, shocked by the little goddesses reaction. She narrowed her eyes, suddenly tamer. "Are you famous?" Robin was sputtering, clearly not prepared for the change in her demeanor.
Red Hood burst out laughing.
"Fucking hell, his face. I've never been more grateful for the camera in my helmet."
"Kwami don't show up on camera, but his face definitely will." Chat Noir pointed out. He went beside Ladybug, up until then scanning the compound. "I'm Chat Noir, the fabulous purr-tner of Ladybug, at your service." He made a mock bow, grinning like the Cheshire Cat. Ladybug, Red Robin, Red Hood and Robin groaned.
"Not ANOTHER ONE!"
"Tt. I can't handle two of them. I'll inevitably going to break the no killing rule."
"Um, what's going on?" Ladybug turned to Red Robin, who was grimacing.
"Nightwing." He said, giving her a pitying look.
"Oh, come on, it can't be that claw-ful." Retorted Nightwing. Chat Noir lit up like a Christmas tree.
"My lady, see. I was sure I was feline a fellow paw-nner nearby."
"Kill me." Ladybug and Red Robin said at the same time. They looked at each other and laughed.
As more heroes were arriving, Ladybug introduced herself to each of them. She tensed a bit when Thor came beaming at her.
"Ah! I haven't seen the miraculous for centuries! I am not really that familiar with the Chinese Miracle Box but I did encounter a wielder of Trixx."
She smiled tightly listening to his encounter with Fylja. She knows from her father about her, a trickster just like him, who managed to seduce Thor and steal Mjolnir and hide it. Thor decided to omit that detail. He liked the young hero but something seemed oddly familiar about her.
When Aquaman came, he looked very uncomfortable with his proximity to Chat Noir. He was cordial but kept his distance after finishing introductions. Chat Noir did tell her once that Plagg said that he was the one who sank Atlantis. It was a real story, apparently.
Ladybug preferred the company of Red Robin. They had a lot of things in common, from mutual interests to similar experiences as heroes. He asked a lot of questions without being invasive or trying to find out things about her civilian life and actually seemed interested about her answers. She actually blushed when Nightwing called them cute. She could see with the corner of her eyes how Chat Noir was wiggling his eyebrows but swooped up the other boys when they started teasing them.
"Everyone is here. Only the official members of the Justice League and the Avengers are allowed, as well as Ladybug and Chat Noir. The rest will stay here." Wonder Woman announced, leaving the rest of the young heroes pouting and protesting.
Ladybug turned to Red Robin and gave him a wave.
"See you after."
"Definitely." He grinned, making her blush.
Chat Noir came beside her, smiling knowingly.
"At least you're not a stuttering mess this time."
"Shut up you alley cat, that was four years ago."
"So you do like him." He smiled even wider. Ladybug blushed furiously, punching him in the ribs. He only giggled.
"Nightwing and Red Hood owe me 50 dollars."
"You're unbelievable."
All the heroes were seated at a circular table, everyone having an assigned seat. Even Ladybug and Chat Noir, their symbols gleaming brand new on the backs of the black chairs.
"The summit begins. We are now gathered here to discuss the Paris situation." Superman began, opening a slide on the projector.
Ladybug narrowed her eyes. It became obvious that they called the summit just for this. They were trying to take control. She clenched her fists, but didn't say anything. She hoped this wasn't what it looked like. She put her hand on Chat Noir's shoulder when he looked like he wanted to say something. She squeezed twice. ' I got this.'
"Ladybug, Chat Noir, it's been four and a half years since Hawkmoth has been active and so far we haven't seen much progress. The akumas seem to become more powerful and aggressive and the damage to Paris greater each time. We think you might be over your heads."
"What we are trying to say," Batman stood up, glaring at Superman for his lack of tact, "is that the situation is becoming increasingly difficult and we feel the need to intervene. We know that you are young, let us help you."
"You are kids, we can tell. We thought that because of the nature of the miraculous you will be able to neutralize the threat in due time, seeing as it's the same type of magic." Added Captain America.
"We trusted that you could handle it, as you said, but some of us already have doubts." Iron Man said, crossing his arms.
"Your miraculous might not be enough this time. But that's ok. We want this to end as much as you do." Professor Banner added, looking at them like he was explaining to children why they couldn't cross the street when the traffic light was red.
Most of the heroes didn't notice the way the two young heroes narrowed their eyes, faces darkening, but some, mostly those who knew the power of the miraculous, did. Aquaman was uneasy, a sense of foreboding dawning over him, Wonder Woman looked like she didn't know what her peers were going to say. She stood still, but tense, like preparing for an attack. She knew they were somewhat right, but that wasn't the way to help them. Green Lantern was leaning in his seat like he wanted it to eat him. Thor looked around the table, damning every one of them present. They were going to get them killed. Black Widow was glaring at Banner, knowing what his words did to the Parisians by their increasing straining to say nothing and stay in place. Batman was following them carefully. Something about the two of them screamed danger.
Then Superman dropped the bomb.
"So, effective immediately, we take jurisdiction of the city of..."
He was cut off by a sudden boom reverberating through the room. All heroes jumped in a battle stance. When there was no threat in sight, they looked at Ladybug, who had made a dent in the table with her fist. Her eyes were entirely blue. But it was not her usual color, it was an icy blue, that could freeze the fires of hell. Thor held his breath. They looked exactly like frost giant eyes. And familiar ones.
"How. Dare. You."
She didn't yell but the heroes could feel the ice in their veins.
"For four years we've been tirelessly fighting an emotional prying bastard, while controlling our own to the point where it seems that we have none, handling our civilian lives at the same time, trying to minimize the destruction of Paris even though we new the cure with bring everything back to normal, tending to our citizens after they've been akumatized, ensuring they would get therapy and support, even stopping minor crimes around the city and you have the balls to say that we are in over our heads?! We may be but we are handling it way better than any of you do! You are not one to speak, Superman. Metropolis gets trashed every other week with you're messy fights, and there is no cure. You obviously have no regard of the destruction or the victims most of the time. The rest of you are mostly the same. But there is no one getting in your way saying that you're doing a horrible job and trying to replace you. And if there is, gods forbid, you just send them to prison or in a mental asylum. You have NO right to criticize our ways when yours are statistically worse!"
Both the Justice League and the Avengers were silent and wide eyed. Thor was the first to recover. Her eyes went back to normal after she finished but there was no mistake. The girl wasn't human.
"Who are you?" He pointed his hammer at Ladybug. She rolled her eyes.
"Put that down, you're not intimidating anyone."
"Those were frost giant eyes. Answer me or perish."
"Dad would not appreciate the perish part, you know."
The Avengers and the Leaguers were now exchanging confused looks. What were they supposed to do? What was that about? After exchanging glances, they remained silent, watching the exchange curiously.
"What are you talking about?" Thor retorted, now gripping Mjolnir tighter.
"I guess this is as a bad time as any but... Hello uncle."
It wasn't ideal but she couldn't have both the Justice League and the Avengers trying to arrest her. She took the yo-yo from her hip and slid it open. She scrolled through her contacts and tapped the one named 'The God of Bullshit'. After a few beeps, during which the heroes were recovering from their stupor, Loki's face appeared on the screen.
"Daughter dearest. What's the matter, are the others bothering you?" He said in a sarcastic sweet voice. She rolled her eyes then pointed the screen towards Thor.
"L'Oréal blond knows."
After a few seconds Loki starts laughing like a maniac.
"This is the best way they could've found out. This is PERFECT."
Thor walks in wide strides to an unimpressed Ladybug and takes the yo-yo from her hand.
"I have a niece and you didn't TELL ME!"
"Of course not. You pieces of shit are not worthy of the presence of my daughter. I don't know why she even agreed to come to the meeting. She is doing a wonderful job in Paris and does not need any interference. Beware, brother, if you upset her I'll come for your heads. I have to go now, see you soon, daughter."
Ladybug closed her yo-yo and looked around the room.
"I don't care what you decided. Paris is my city. You don't come barging just because you think you can do a better job. And yes, I'm the daughter of Loki but that doesn't mean that I have bad intentions. I'm a hero as much as you are. Now, have I made myself clear?"
"Yes, Ladybug." Wonder Woman was the first to respond. Even if she was a daughter of Loki, the young hero earned her respect. She stood her ground against them and made her point crystal clear.
The rest of the heroes agree, though some reluctantly.
"Now, I agreed to come here mainly because I wanted to say that I have a strong lead. Hawkmoth may soon fall."
After some other arguments with some of the reluctant heroes and a few protests that were quickly shot down by Ladybug and her supporters, the heroes dispersed. She and Chat Noir were between the last ones to leave, having a shushed conversation while the others left.
"We will discuss it back in Paris. But yes, it's true."
"So you're a half goddess?"
"Demigoddess, but yes."
"That is awesome."
When they entered the hall, they saw it was almost empty. She was disappointed that maybe Red Robin left until he was in front of her. He gripped her shoulders and looked in her eyes.
"I think I'm in love with you. That was the greatest hero smack down in history."
She was a blushing mess by the time the other boys and Batman came around. They were all snickering, even Batman and Robin.
"How did you..."
"Father turned his com on when he saw that you looked like you were ready to kill someone."
"B, you are not allowed to adopt her under any circumstances, do you understand me? We do not need another sister."
"Yeah Bats, don't ruin your only chance at grandkids."
Now Red Robin was blushing too.
"So... You don't care about the Loki thing?"
"We noticed that he toned down a few years ago. We didn't know why. Now it makes sense."
"Yeah, trust me, you're not the only one with a villainous parent 'round here." Red Rood pointed, putting his elbow on Robin's shoulder. The latter looked like he wanted to rip it off.
"And you are clearly taking your job seriously. Even father respects your efforts."
"I didn't intend to make you feel like you are not good enough. We wanted to help you, but it got out of hand. I apologize."
"Apology accepted. I understand where you're coming from, but trust me. This is coming to an end. Soon."
When the Bats were going to the zeta tubes and Ladybug was merging the horse miraculous with her own, Red Robin stayed behind. He handed her a phone.
"It's a non traceable phone. Of you ever want to talk, my number is programmed in there. I really enjoyed our conversation"
She took the phone, smiling brightly.
"I did too. Thank you."
She pulled him into a hug. He hugged her back, kissing her on the cheek then running to the zeta tubes. Her cheeks were as red as her suit. She touched the place where he kissed her, smiling like an idiot.
"Aww, I'm going to die of fluff. I ship it."
"Shut up." She grumbled but still smiling.
                                                           ...
A few months later Hawkmoth’s reign of terror came to an end. It was messy and heartbreaking but they were finally free. Adrien was exonerated by both the Justice League and the Avengers when accusations started to appear in the media. Not wanting to live with the Graham de Vanily’s, Adrien was taken in by Selina Kyle a.k.a Catwoman. It was quite fitting.
They have revealed their identities during the battle when they had to recharge and barely found one place to detransform. When they had the Butterfly and Peacock miraculous secured and Gabriel and Nathalie in police custody, they swung to the Eiffel Tower and collapsed there on each other, crying their hearts out for the first time in five years. Loki got there at some point but he kept his distance, understanding that it was their time. That was how they were found by the Justice League and the Avengers. Huddled together on the railing, not talking, with Loki next to them, smiling serenely. Thor almost had a heart attack. When she noticed that Red Robin came too, she ran to him and kissed him like the world almost ended, which almost actually did.
Fu passed guardianship to Marinette not long after, deeming her ready.
After everything was solved in Paris and the trials of Gabriel, Nathalie and Lila, for her aiding Hawkmoth, were done, Marinette began her first mission as Guardian. Cleanse Gotham.
Soon, a new vigilante, with a black fox theme, swung through Gotham with the Bats and Tim Drake appeared in public with his new girlfriend, Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
When I first saw what the prompt for today was I had no idea what to write. I didn’t want to do the class trip to New York so I took my favorite character, Loki obviously, and brainstormed. This came out. I don’t know if this has been done before but I love biodad!Loki.
So this is approximately 4326 words (I added and edited things on here so I don't know for sure) which is a new record. I did enjoy writing this. Maybe I will do something biodad!Loki again in the future, it's fun to write.
And as a sidenote, Marinette can lift Mjolnir.

(there is more after the cut, this is a longish teaser!)
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
“That’s terrible form Loki!” Thor yelled from the top Balcony of the palace, before jumping down and landing with a flash of lightning next to his younger brother. He smirked at you, watching from the sidelines with a book in your hand, though you were formally watching the young god of mischief, your mind now unimpressed, moved back to the pages set before you.
“You have to be more like a boulder,” Thor explained, swiftly knocking his brother over, “you’re like a piece of parchment, I could tear you up so easily.”
Loki huffed from the floor, his new robes now covered in mud, “I wasn’t really trying,” he mumbled, slowly getting up and dusting his bottoms off, “I just was giving it a go.”
“Well there's no point,” Thor shrugged with a laugh, “you’re not not really that good at it.”
“Thor Odinson!” Frigga called from the top balcony where Thor had jumped from, “Get back up here! Your fitting is not over for the banquet tonight!” She narrowed her kind eyes at Loki, now standing, glaring at his older brother, “You too, Loki,” she chided, “I will not have my sons looking like hooligans at this dinner.”
Loki and Thor collectively rolled their eyes, before Thor threw a playful punch at his brother, “race you!” He laughed boisterously, getting a head start and running for the entrance of the servants quarters to make his way to the top where Frigga was waiting for them.
“There’s no point,” Loki called, but Thor was already halfway across the lawn, “you always beat me anyways.” Loki sighed, beginning his trek back to the palace.
“I thought you did good,” You spoke up, your soft and innocent doe eyes looked warmly at Loki, “for just starting out, I mean.”
“Pshh,” Loki chuckled, “like you could’ve done better.”
You shrugged and closed your book, brushing off his dig, knowing he was already fragile from Thor’s earlier intrusion, “I just said you did good. Learn to take a compliment.” You smiled playfully, strutting off to the far side of the lawn, away from Loki’s view.
Loki scoffed, but your comment put a smile on his face nonetheless. Something special, he thought, I’ve just found something special.
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
It was two years later, at the age of fifteen (In Asgardian years) when Loki spoke with you again. But he watched you. Oh, how he watched you. The way you smiled at the baker and played with the children in the square. You always had a book, clutched close to your heart, and it was always the same strange book that he never understood. A token from Midgard with the most unusual title of Le Morte d'Arthur, from the way you smiled as you skimmed the pages, Loki could tell it was precious to you.
“What’s that about?” He wondered aloud one day, catching you looking over the fjord of Asgard, “you always have it with you, and you smile like a silly nymphet when you read it, but surely it can’t be that good, being Midgard quality and all.”
You scoffed and closed the book, surprised the young prince was talking to you at all, but more-so offended at his lack of knowledge regarding the intricacies and beauties of Midgard. “For your information,” You began with a playful ‘know-it-all’ smirk, “Midgardians happen to have some of the most beautiful and meaningful literature. The books in the royal library are mostly conjecture and gloom, battle plans and fighting techniques, but this,” You held the book up, proudly showing it off, “this is special.” you insisted with a proud gleam in your eye, “it’s about love and betrayal, and it’s so intricate, explaining emotions in a way that I can hardly fathom, though I know what it means all the same.”
“Love? Betrayal?” Loki scoffed, snatching the book from your hands, “it’s a fairytale, you mean?” He asked, skimming a few pages for himself.
“Perhaps,” You shrugged, “but a fairytale with a message.”
“And that is?”
“Depends on what you think, I suppose.” You snatched the book back, “It has so many messages, I doubt you’d stick to listening to just one.”
Loki pondered this, taking a seat beside you in the soft tall grass of the cliff, “Will you read it to me?” He asked finally. You looked at him curiously, prepared for him to laugh at you and retract his request, but instead he smiled, “How will I know what message to listen to if I can’t hear it read to me?”
You smiled too, a glittering toothy grin that lit up your whole face, reflective of the butterflies and giddiness you felt in your gut. “Of course, you highness. How could I ever refuse a prince.”
“Just call me Loki,” the boy shrugged, a light blush tinted in snow white skin, “I’m nothing special like a prince.”
“They don’t just give those titles willy nilly,” You argued, opening the book to the first page.
“They must’ve for me.” Loki countered with a simple shrug.
“No,” You shook your head, “I can tell, you’re burdened with glorious purpose. We just have to wait and see what it is.”

N/A: It do be like that sometimes. Unfortunately I think we can all relate to this state of mind. Hope this helps alliviate the tension a bit. Remember to take care of yourself; health is more important than grades.
Warnings: anxious thoughts, mentions of suicide attempt (the Bifrost thing from Loki), angst. Happy ending.

You organized your folders once again, hoping the cleaner desk would give you some motivation to keep going. It didn’t, but you stayed. Your stomach growled and it hinted you to look at the clock. Oh, no. Five in the morning? But you barely started. You still had so many things to do before dawn.
You got up and stretched your legs and back. Your eyelids, heavier than ever, were not helping at all. Your mind was still everywhere, and you had to keep your head distracted to not think in the thousand things you still couldn’t get done. The mere thought of that made you shiver, almost throwing you into a spiral of anxious thoughts. You shook your head off and walked to the bathroom. Splashing some cold water in your face, you stood in front of the mirror. Eyebags that made you more similar to a racoon gave you the idea of making some more coffee. At that time you'd already forgotten you were going to get some food; your head was so full it couldn't even retain basic information.
As silently as you could, you walked down to the kitchen of the compound. You brought your books with yourself. Couldn’t waste some other five or ten minutes, couldn’t you? Filling the kettle and putting it on the fire, you got distracted watching the shapes of the fire.
“Zoned out?”, inquired Loki behind you. You jumped, frightened.
“What are you doing up so early?”, you asked.
“What are you doing up so late?”. You pointed at the books and he nodded. “You’re still with those things”.
“Want some coffee?”.
“No, thanks. I think I’m gonna try to sleep on the couch”.
He moved to the living room area and opened a book, laying down on the nearest couch. It all looked so cozy, so comfortable. You redirected your gaze to your cup of coffee and academic books, waiting for you to fry your head a little (a lot) more. Oh, how much you would’ve loved to take a break, sit in there with a fiction book and a warm mug of hot cocoa, wrapped up in… no. Don’t do this. Don’t torture yourself like that.
You probably shouldn’t have been drinking coffee. Your heart was already going abnormally fast, product and cause of the anxiety you were accumulating. But you did, trying to get your eyes opened. The table you settled in was confronting the living room area, and Loki observed you read and write incessantly in those big piles of books and papers.
You didn’t hear his footsteps. Out of nowhere he appeared behind you, reading the pages that were troubling you so much. You jumped once again. He was distracting you, you were tired and stressed, and, as if it weren’t enough, your heart was going to explode with all those frightens he was giving you.
“Are you going on the next…?”.
“Loki, I can’t give you attention right now”, you cut him off as kindly as you could. Your voice was slightly broken, so you swallowed and hid it. You two weren’t close enough to actually explain to him you were about to drown if you kept getting distracted from the assignments.
“I don’t need your attention”, he scoffed, slightly offended. “Not a puppy you have to play with”.
“Alright. Can you leave?”.
He sighed and went back to the couch. After about half an hour, your head fell to the pages and gave your brain the pause it so hardly needed. About an hour later, everyone on the compound was up and having breakfast around you, waking you up with the noises.
“Y/n, what are you doing sleeping in here?”, asked Thor. “What are all those things you have in there?”.
“Those things, brother, are books. They are for reading and gaining knowledge, I’m certain you haven’t heard of them before”, mocked Loki, gaining a chuckle from you. “It’s not like you seem to be gaining much either, though”, told you, referring to your nap.
“I was exhausted, but I’m...”.
“Mortals are such weakies”, he said, getting up and serving himself a cup of tea. “They read three pages and already get tired of using their little brains”.
You knew he was kidding, for he had told you many times before he considered you one of the brightest youngsters he had ever encountered. But you couldn’t look at the big picture right now. Your head was still overwhelmingly loud with fears, tiredness, stress. The only sight of that pile of books made you shiver, realizing how little time you had to study. And Loki was right. You felt yourself so stupid, so weak. No matter how hard you worked and overworked yourself, you couldn’t get the damn things done right.
A knot in your throat gave you the hint to leave. The last thing you needed was to cry in front of them. You went back to your room, not without another cup of coffee before. So, you grabbed your things as fast as you could and ran to the kitchen. You hadn’t noticed Loki had followed you, thinking it was alright to mock; play around. You weren’t exactly friends, but enjoyed each other’s teasing every once in a while. He thought it’d cheer you up, or make you laugh.
“Hey”, he said behind you, and you jumped once again, dropping your mug to the floor. It got smashed to pieces. “Oh, what a clumsy little human”. You chuckled at his comment, containing a sob. He read it as if it was alright to keep teasing you, so he did. “I’d say you’re dumb because of not sleeping, but you generally just are like this”.
You didn’t answer, but your heart ached. You weren’t in the mood for his tough-love, so you rolled your eyes, sighed, and tried to pick up the pieces of broken ceramic. He didn't look satisfied with your silence. You'd usually insult him back, and laugh together.
“Your hair’s gross. Have you showered at all?” he said once again, touching the tip of one strand of your hair. You haven’t, you didn’t have time. You didn’t answer, and instead blushed. “Careful, don’t touch that sink, you might get a reaction”.
“What?”.
“Since you’re allergic to water”.
“Out of all the mean things you can say you go for my poor hygiene?”.
“Would you like me to stop insulting your appearance and instead go for anything else? I have a long list”.
“Just… leave me alone”.
“Oh, come on. You’re not gonna keep trying to understand what you so clearly can’t?”, he said while you were leaving with all your stuff, and you stood in place, facing the door. You were so, so glad you were backwards, because then he would’ve seen you tear up.
He was joking, he was just playing around. But going for that just in your worst moments? That was plain mean. You shook your head, he didn’t know, you’ve never said a thing about your stress, and he didn’t see how overworked and overwhelmed you were. He didn't know that was one of your biggest insecurities.
“I’d say you give up already. There are certain things dummies like you simply can’t achieve”, he continued. He had no idea, so he just kept going, hoping to get a reaction. A laugh, a chuckle or a “fuck you”. Even a punch. Any of the reactions he would usually get from you. But he didn’t expect what followed, at all.
You sobbed. One sob, just sharp and loud enough for him to have heard it. He stopped dead on his tracks. You didn’t turn around, but you didn’t move either. He saw how you tilted your head, facing the floor, and dropped a tear. He immediately walked to you and grabbed both of your hands, facing you.
“Hey, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean any of those things, dear”, he softened his voice. “I was just joking around”.
“Yes, I know. Don’t worry, it’s just that I’m very stressed”, was what you tried to say. Instead, your sobs turned into a full blown cry. Your face went red from embarrassment, and anger, and stress, and tiredness, and it all just became too much for you to bear alone. Loki sensed it and hugged you tightly, pressing your head against his chest and hushing you tenderly.
“What happened? Is someone ill?”, he whispered, and you felt even more stupid, because you were crying over grades and papers. Not real things, like you used to think to diminish your stress and pack up all your feelings in a tiny bottle. But the tiny bottle became too tiny for your big feelings, and it finally exploded. You still couldn’t talk. Tears running down your face, you were hugging Loki back, hiding your face on him.
“Nobody’s ill, don’t worry”, you managed to say after a while. He nodded.
“I worry about you. Come, let me get you comfortable”, he said in your ear, and lifted you up carefully. You chuckled in between sobs. An emotional roller coaster. He carried you to his bedroom (and ignored the weird looks and stares from everyone else, because, let’s be honest; that was an unusual sight), and made you sit in his bed, wrapping you up in a weighted blanket (oh, you loved those).
He left for less than a minute and came back with a steaming cup of tea, some chocolate, and a few CDs. He sat in the bed by your side and gave you the cup. You wiped some tears away, and with trembling hands left the tea carefully over the bedside table and went for another hug. He wrapped himself around you, as a second blanket, and caressed your hair and neck with his cold fingers until your sobs stopped and you finally calmed down.
After a while, he cupped your face and looked at you very closely. Too close, even. Gave you a comforting look, with a warmth on his eyes you have never seen on anyone before.
“Better?”, he whispered.
“A bit, yeah”.
“Want to talk it out? Movie marathon? Chocolate?”.
You smiled and blushed a bit, again.
“Sorry, I’m just… really stressed. I thought I could manage better, but… this is just not it”.
“School?”.
“You must think I’m an idiot”.
“No way”, he assured you, frowning. “You know what I think of you. You’re incredibly smart”.
“I’m not, I’m doing so poorly on my exams and assignments, and…” you tried to explain, and the overwhelming weight of everything fell on your chest again. Your eyes watered.
“You’re overworking yourself too much, darling. You need to take a day off, or two”.
“I have no time, I won’t get anything done”.
“Well, you certainly won’t get anything done in this breakdown state of mind”, he said as tenderly as he could. He was right, and you sighed. You started fidgeting nervously with your fingers, tearing your cuticles. Almost as a reflex act, he grabbed your hands and caressed them so you would stop hurting them. “You humans run around the entirety of your lives. You spend it all running, speeding, not taking time to feel enough, to be rested and fulfilled enough”, he started saying, rocking you back and forth “you think you don’t have enough time, but for what?”.
“To do all the things I want”.
“And those are…? Careers to do? Places to visit? They all come to the same thing, love”.
“Feeling well?”.
“Yes”, he nodded. Your throat tightened once again, but this time out of relief. You really needed to hear this. “If you feel well doing these things, you won’t feel you’re wasting time once you finally rest. I’ve lived a thousand years. Do you think I always wanted to spend my life doing the same things?”.
“Well, no”.
“But it all came to the same thing when I thought I died”.
“You... what?”.
“I was on the Bifrost, about to fall. I wanted to feel good, to feel accepted, to feel loved by the people I loved”.
“It’s all we want at the end. I guess I overwork myself to make them proud”.
“I did too. And at the end, even when I tried my hardest, I couldn’t make them proud”.
“Oh God”, you said. He was still hugging and caressing you, as if the story he was telling didn’t affect him anymore. “And you…”.
“I threw myself off it”, he stated. You stopped and looked at him.
“Oh”.
“But”, he brought back to your hands the cup of tea “I survived. Even then, I kept thinking through the fogged lenses of doing something big for a future purpose, not paying any mind to my actual motivations”.
“How do you feel now?”.
“You know, if I wouldn’t have survived, I wouldn’t taste this amazing cup of tea” he said, sipping a bit from the cup still in your hands and bringing it to his cheek, warming him up. “And I wouldn’t be able to watch all these movies with you. And I would’ve missed all the Midgardians books I’ve read on Earth. And I wouldn’t have met anyone on here. And maybe, even looking closer, I wouldn’t have pushed all your buttons to break down so you would still be bottling up your stress and maybe even have had a heart attack and died unhappy and unfulfilled”.
“Wow there”. You both laughed. You rested your head on his lap and he watched you with a glimpse of a smile.
“What I’m trying to say is, take it one step at a time. Look at the big picture. Enjoy the process. All those things you midgardians say so often, they have almost lost all meaning. They sound cliché. They shouldn’t; for they are very true”.
“Thank you, Loki”, you sighed and started braiding one strand of his hair.
“Now go take a bath or something, stinky”. You both laughed. It was all fine.

Truth Serum
Hello everyone! My name is Amber and I’m not new to writing however I am new to actually posting my writing but recently I really got back into Loki with all the trailers dropping and stuff and I’ve had so many ideas crossing my mind so I figured I’d write some of my ideas out and post them here! Honestly this is my first time writing for Loki so he might be a bit OOC until I really get him under my buckle! This piece doesn’t have a lot of Loki in it because I’m also testing out writing with more than two people getting focus so I apologize in advance but I’ll probably write the 2nd piece tomorrow where Loki confronts ‘you’. Enjoy! Gif not mine!
Tumblr media
You had just finished sweeping and mopping in Tony’s lab because there was glass on the ground. The only abnormal thing was that there was opalescent liquid in-between all the broken glass, your guess was that it must have been in some vial for safe keeping meaning you should have been careful.
Should. Key word right there.
Realizing you had gotten some of the mystical liquid on yourself you quickly finished up cleaning then found Tony who was visiting with Steve in the living room.
“Tony, Tony, Tony,” You incessantly said in a sing song voice as you approached, “Heya, Stevo.”
“Look there was a broken vial in your lab and you know I was down there for my blueprints and while cleaning said broken glass the liquid might have touched my skin....”
Tony frowned and Steve’s eyes widened and looked at Tony.
“Listen just tell me if I’m dying or not?”
Tony stood there staring at your face for another few seconds before you literally saw the realization hit him like a bus. Tony smiled.
“You know I’ve always had this question in the back of my brain since you said your blueprints were apparently....’Only meant for clearance level 10s’ I think I remember you saying...”
You frowned at Tony and shrugged, “I mean...no one is level 10 so don’t be offended...What does that have to do with this?”
“What exactly are those precious blueprints?”
You were going to give a witty remark but suddenly it was like word vomit and you couldn’t stop the next words from flowing out of your mouth, “They’re a new helmet I’m making for Loki that include audio, kinda like headphones, so he can listen to his favorite Mid-guardian books while on missions with us.”
Tony smirked which then turned into a full on smile before letting out a laugh. Steve looked at you with a confused puppy look on his face. You, unfortunately, realized what that liquid was.
“Tony I swear to God if that liquid I touched was a truth serum I’m literally going to castrate you!”
Tony, still laughing, put his hands up in a surrendering way and shook his head.
“I’m not the one that decided to clean up a mysterious liquid in my lab, of all places, without proper cleaning gear!”
At this point everyone in the room was looking at you three. Natasha and Clint were on one couch in the living room, Loki sat with his legs criss cross, back to the window overlooking NYC, and Wanda and Vision sat on the opposite couch from Natasha and Clint. The only two missing were Thor and Bruce. Much to your luck as you looked around at everyone, you realized they all overheard Tony because they all had mischievous smirks crossing their faces.
“STOP! I’ll answer questions BUT nothing too personal please...” You said putting on your best puppy eyes and giving an exasperated sigh. Surprisingly enough you looked at your crush, Loki, and saw he was the only one without a mischievous smirk, for once. He did however put down the book he had been reading and instead had a focused look on his face as he played with the green magic floating between his hands. No one else paid him any mind though.
“Who’s your favorite Avenger?” Natasha shot out leaning back into the couch with a smirk.
“Tony.”
“YES!” Tony shouted pumping a fist into the air.
“Why?” Natasha asked.
“Because he’s like a dad to me, not to mention he makes us really cool gear meaning I don’t have to slave away in the lab by myself anymore.” You rolled your eyes as you finished the sentence. Tony beside you pulled you into a gut crushing hug and said, “Awe, FRIDAY can you put up adoption papers on my computer in the lab and set a reminder to fill them out later today?”
“Tony, stop, God, you’re embarrassing.” You pushed from his hug, blushing.
“For some reason I’m not really surprised.” Nat said shrugging.
You giggled and made your way to the middle of the room, taking a seat in an available love seat, Tony and Steve coming to stand behind it.
Next Wanda sat up with an excited look on her face and asked, “Who do you think is the strongest Avenger?”
Thor walked in and gave a hearty chuckle, “Me, of course!”
“No, actually, I think it’s a tie between you, Wanda, and Loki.”
“What, no no, surely you’re mistaken, dear?” Thor said now chuckling nervously.
Steve smiled over to him and shrugged, “No, Thor, she accidentally touched a truth serum, this is as honest as she’ll ever be buddy.”
“Why am I one of the strongest Avengers?” Loki asked, his hands still playing with the magic but his complete attention on you.
“Your magic may not be on Wanda’s par, at least what I know about it, but you’ve endured quite the amount of emotion grief and came out on top so I guess I see you as the strongest, emotionally...” You finished with a wince since it kind of aired out Loki’s dirty laundry and was a bit mushy if you were being honest. Loki hummed but went back to focusing on his magic.
Thor frowned then a happy look over took his face, “Are you in love with anyone in the room?”
“Whoa!”
“Thor!”
“Wait, Thor!”
You laughed out loud and let the answer go freely, unconsciously glancing back to Loki who wasn’t looking at you but had a raised brow and seemed to only be half focusing on the green magic cloud in his hands, “Yes.”
“Thor buddy that’s a bit personal.” Tony said, an eyebrow raised in a disappointed dad sort of way.
“My apologies!” Thor said making his way to the kitchen, “I hear a Poptart calling my name, perhaps a smores today.”
“Is it fair to say we may ask questions about this love interest considering it’s one of us?” Vision asked with a vexed look on his face.
Loki cleared his throat and everyone gave him attention, “Perhaps we should keep that as a restricted topic considering she did say nothing too personal?”
You weighed the pros and cons in your head, while you were nervous for Loki to find out it was him maybe this was the way to get it out in the open. Lord knows you would take advantage of it considering every time you spoke with Loki nowadays you turned into a blabbering mess and tended to leave every conversation read in the cheeks from fluster and embarrassment.
“I don’t mind you asking questions but don’t out right ask me his name.” You said deciding to get this over with.
“Well we can cut out Natasha and Wanda then.” Tony said catching onto you saying him. “Reindeer games what on Earth are you doing anyways?”
Loki glanced at Tony and smirked, “Nervous?”
Tony frowned and backed up a bit, “You know, I wasn’t but I am now...”
Loki chuckled and went back to focusing on his magic flowing freely between his fingers and pulsing between his hands now, “Nothing that will harm anyone, Stark, don’t get your britches in a bunch.”
You smiled at Loki then looked around at everyone, “Ok, hit me!”
“I know you said don’t ask a name but you did just say Tony was a father figure I was hoping you didn’t...” Clint started and ended softly with fear in his eyes.
Seeing as it wasn’t a full question you didn’t feel word vomit coming up but decided to play around with Clint since he never ceased to prank you all the time.
“I might have a daddy kink...” You said looking up at Tony, trying your best to give him a lustful look but couldn’t hold in your laughter when Clint started gagging, “No, Clint, it’s not Tony.”
You laughed a bit when you heard Tony let out a heavy sigh of relief. You then brought a hand up and covered your giggle when Clint said a tiny, “Oh thank god.”
“I swear, it better not be Vision, he’s mine!” Wanda said suddenly with wide eyes.
“Not vision.” You responded.
You could feel Tony’s fingers behind you rhythmically tapping on the leather love seat, showing his growing impatience.
“It’s not Steve, Tony.” You said trying to placate the man since he had told you in confidence that he was trying to find a good way to ask the man out.
“You realize that only leaves Clint...and me, right?” Loki said with an unsure smirk. You gave the man a smile and stood up. Loki had finally finished playing with his magic, halfway through you realized what he had been doing seeing as you felt the truth serum slowly letting up in you. He had finally worked out the chemicals from your system and you were back to normal.
“Unfortunately I’m not outright telling you all who it is, if you haven’t been paying attention to me recently that’s on you.” You said before heading towards the kitchen, Loki still smirking as he watched you walk away.
“I feel a smores Poptart calling my name too.”
After you had disappeared Clint cleared his throat and looked at Loki, “It’s totally me, sorry i mean have you seen these guns, Loki? You have nothing on me.”
Loki chuckled and picked his book back up, “I think I have more to offer than you think Clint, but keep telling yourself it’s you if it helps that mortal brain of yours sleep at night.”

Stardust - Part 4
Loki x Reader
content warnings: cancer / illness mention
Tumblr media
It had been almost two weeks since Loki's arrival at the tower, and you had begun to look forward to the afternoons spent with him in the library. He was always curious, asking questions about your cancer, and although you disliked talking much about it, you realised with him, you didn't mind. Loki seemed quite fascinated by how extensive this mortal illness was, and it seemed as though he never ran out of new questions to ask you about it.
"Hey," You said as you walked into the library. He still took to sitting in your favourite seat in the bay window, so you would always sit on the couch next to the window instead. To say Tony wasn't a huge fan of you spending so much time with Loki would be an understatement, but you didn't much care.
"Hello," Loki replied, looking up at you. You looked tired, he noticed, more so than usual, but he didn't comment on it.
You sat on the couch, grabbing the book you had started reading the day before - The Curious Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens. Just as you were getting tucked in to read, Loki cleared his throat.
"If you wish, you may sit up here as well," He said quickly, cursing himself in his mind. He wasn't sure why he'd said that, it wad stupid, but then you got up, smiling lightly as you took the seat next to him in the window, and it seemed okay.
"Thank you," You said, relishing in the feeling of the warm sun hitting your back. Loki looked at you, rays of golden sunlight basking your face, and he felt a warmth spread through his chest. His cheeks were pink, and you noticed, but thought maybe you were just imagining it. Loki? Blushing? No way.
"So," Loki said after a beat of silence. "What is that thing you lug around that goes into your nose?"
"It pumps oxygen, through the tube into my nose. I can't breathe very well without it."
"Ah. What of these... Growths? Would it not be simpler to have them removed?"
You sighed. "The cancer grew too quickly, they had tried to remove them, but they came back twice as fast. Eventually, they were declared inoperable."
Loki watched as you pulled the neckline of your sweater down a few inches, revealing the top of what he assumed was a quite lengthy scar. Without thinking, he reached a hand out and traced the scar ever so lightly as you watched, feeling goosebumps raise across your skin. You shivered at his touch, but not because you were afraid.
Hearing the soft gasp that escaped your lips as he touched your scar, Loki quickly retracted his hand, a blush painting his cheeks once more. "My apologies, I'm not sure what came over me."
"Please," You said softly. "Don't be sorry."
The two of you sat in silence for a few moments, then Loki spoke once more. "Why do you do it?"
The question caught you off guard. "What?"
"You're in anguish. You let these chemicals and radiation ravage your body, they make you weak and tired, you're aware that they only just barely help, but yet you persist. Why?" Would it not be easier to simply end your suffering? The words sat on his lips unspoken, and even as he thought them he felt a pang in his chest. Loki, too, had grown quite fond of the time spent in the library with you, and the mere thought of no longer having that sent a jolt through him. You were his only friend here, he realised.
You weren't sure how to respond. You knew what he was thinking, and he was right - it would be much easier to just put an end to the misery and be done with it, get the hurt out of the way so your team had more time to heal and get on with living their lives. It was selfish, prolonging your suffering was only prolonging theirs as well.
When you didn't reply, Loki did. "I apologise if the question was... Insensitive. I've yet to learn what does and does not offend mortals."
"No, please don't be sorry," You said quickly. "It's refreshing to have someone speak to me without the burden of worrying they might offend. Everyone has been walking on eggshells around me since I was diagnosed, they've been coddling me, making me feel like I'm nothing more than a helpless child. I enjoy being free of that, and you're the only one who doesn't make me feel that way."
This intrigued Loki. "You are ill, yet the fact that your team takes special care of you due to your illness bothers you?"
"To no end," You groaned. "It's like ever since I got sick, everyone began to act differently around me. It seemed they no longer saw me as who I am, all they could see was a sick person. I slowly became my cancer to them, like my whole life is supposed to revolve around the fact that I'm sick. It's upsetting because I'm still me, I'm the same person I was before I became ill, but they don't see that."
It was beginning to occur to Loki that perhaps the two of you had more in common than he thought, and he wasn't sure how he felt about that. "I see," He replied. "You are not the person they perceive."
"Exactly," You said, realising that Loki as well was not the person he had been perceived as, either. Yes, he had done terrible, horrible things, but here he was atoning for those crimes. Trying to change.
"So why don't you change that?" He asked. "Do not let them reduce you to your illness. Show them you are still the woman that they knew before. Show them that your illness does not define you."
A small smile tugged at your lips. "And how do you suppose I go about doing that?" You asked.
"Simply go about your life the way you normally would, were you not sick. Do what you wish, what makes you happy. Then they will remember that you are more than this illness."
This, right here, this is what makes me happy, You thought with a small smile, but you were not so bold as to admit it aloud. Hell, you had yet to even ask him about himself; as arrogant and confident as the front he put off was, you were afraid to scare him off.
"You're right," You said simply. "I suppose that it couldn't hurt to give that a try."
An hour passed in a kind of comfortable silence you had grown accustomed to with Loki when you felt your head begin to hurt. It wasn't that you didn't get headaches before, but the force in which the migraines you'd been getting for the last week tore apart your mind was almost too much to bear. You made a note to bring it up with Dr. Wilson, and set your book down.
"I feel a bit under the weather," You said to Loki. "I think I'll go lie down for a bit."
Loki cleared his throat awkwardly. "Would, ah, would you like me to walk you to your chambers?"
You couldn't help the smile that spread across your face, and nodded with a blush. "That would be nice, thank you."
Thor was making his way down to the lounge when he passed behind you and his brother, and a happy smile played on his lips at the sight. He knew your intentions were pure, and only hoped that you continued to influence his brother for the better.
When the two of you reached your bedroom, you turned to look at the handsome God. "Well, this is me," You said. "I'll see you later?"
"I realise you never answered my question," Loki said suddenly, looking at you.
You blinked. "What question?"
"If you do not wish to answer, I won't press the issue, but why do you continue this misery?"
With no hesitation, you said, "Love. The team is my family, and I love them more than anything. The list of things I would not do for them is small, and fighting cancer is not on that list. I enjoy spending time with them, I don't want to leave them because I know it would crush them, so if enduring torturous treatments is what it takes to stay with them, then it's what I am going to do."
"You truly are quite the character," Loki mused, looking at you intently. "You are stronger than I have given you credit for, and for that I apologise."
You touched his arm hesitantly, caressing it softly with your thumb. "No apology necessary."

The Great Gatsby
WC: 1k Pairing: Loki x Reader
Request: ok so i saw that you’re taking requests and we’ve all read fics were loki reads books out loud for the reader but how about the opposite? like maybe loki is just really stressed after a mission or something and the reader decides to read to him and he’s just so calm listening to their voice. it’s just really fluffy maybe a little bit angsty, totally cool if you’re unable to do this tho!
A/N: Apologies in advance, I have never read the Great Gatsby so I may be wrong about the plot. Also sorry for the delay, I’ve been a bit busy! And in this, Loki is an Avenger and no one is dead
Warnings: fluff, angst, death mention and I am very sleep deprived as I finish writing this and cba to check this. If there are any you want me to add, please dm me or send an ask and I will!
Tumblr media
Being an Avenger was exhausting and stressful, there was no doubt about that, but when a mission would go sideways, the aftermath would be… tense, to say the least. Like this one specific day, when a few of the crew went on a mission to save some hostages and it didn’t exactly go as planned. Obviously you can never fully rely on a plan as there are always unexpected factors, but this one went so completely off that they only managed to save a few. And pretty much everyone that went blamed Loki.
Y/N hadn’t gone on this mission because they had just returned from one the previous day, and thus was exhausted, and thus was trying to sleep. This was unsuccessful though, as everyone else was bickering so loudly that they could hear them from their room. Deciding that trying to sleep was futile before everyone stopped yelling, they got up and stormed into the living room where the sound was coming from.
It was impossible to figure out what was being said and by whom, as everyone was just screaming over each other (mainly in a certain god of mischief’s direction), with the exception of Peter who was silently watching, trying to stay out of it. Y/N knew that yelling over them would do nothing, as they wouldn’t hear them. “Friday,” Y/N spoke, getting the attention of the AI.
“Yes Mx. Y/S/N?” the AI replied.
“Can you play a loud noise please?” asked Y/N, trying to maintain the little patience they had left. Almost immediately after they made their request, a loud air horn noise played throughout the room, causing everyone except for Y/N to cover their ears and shut up.
“Friday, what the hell?!” Tony exclaimed.
“I’m sorry sir, but it was upon Mx. Y/S/N’s request.”
“It was the only way to make you shut up,” Y/N explained bitterly. “Now will someone kindly explain why the fuck you are all being so loud as to stop me from getting my rest?” they demanded. Silence. “Loki?”
“Why do you assume it was me?!” asked the god, clearly offended.
“Everyone was shouting at you.”
“Because it was! This asshole went rogue and cost us over half of the hostages!”
“Okay. So what exactly is this yelling accomplishing? Do you bring someone back for every minute you yell?”
“He’s apathetic, Y/N, he doesn’t care so who’s to say he won’t do it again?” Clint responded. That straight up was not true. What was happening was that Loki was putting up a front to hide his emotions, a front he has put up many times previously, and the other Avengers haven’t gotten to know him well enough to see that. Other than Y/N, that is. Maybe Thor. Y/N sighed slightly, not wanting to expose this to everyone but not wanting the others to think they were right.
“Loki, come with me,” they instructed as they started leaving the room. Normally Loki wouldn’t allow someone to boss him around like that, but this time he was just thankful, to have an out, so he followed without protest until the two were in Y/N’s room.
Once inside, Y/N shut the door, sat on the side of their bed and tapped the spot next to them. Loki only shook his head. “I know you well enough to see through your mask, there’s no point trying to bullshit me away.” With this, Loki reluctantly sat, and Y/N rested their head on his shoulder. Loki hadn’t really had any contact this intimate for a while and… it was nice. “Do you wanna talk about it?” Honestly, not really, but Loki repressing emotions was the reason he was so angry all the time, and he didn’t want that anymore. Maybe he could wait a bit first though.
“Not yet. Right now I just want to distract myself.” He could feel Y/N humming in acknowledgment against his shoulder before they momentarily moved away, grabbed a book and then held it in front of him. Loki furrowed his brow slightly and took it.
“The Great Gatsby?”
“Thor told me that you liked to read a lot on Asgard. I don’t know what kind of books you have there, so I thought I would give you one that is considered a classic here. I was gonna wait until your birthday to give it to you but now seemed like a good time.”
Loki’s heart warmed slightly at the confession, and a slight smile grew on his exhausted face.
“Thank you. What’s it about?”
“It tells the tale of Jay Gatsby, a millionaire war veteran who tries to get his former love back from someone else. Don’t worry, it’s a tragedy, I didn’t think you were really one for a simple romance.”
“Could you read it to me?” Loki asked out of the blue. The request did startle Y/N a bit, though they complied.
“In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind ever since. “Whenever you feel like criticising anyone,” he told me, “just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.”” Loki knew that there was a lot to unpack in that opening section, especially considering the events that just occurred, but he couldn’t bring himself to think about it in that moment, not when it meant drowning out Y/N’s reading of this book. He wasn’t sure what it was, but there was just something so calming to him about their voice at that moment. There was something that forced all of his worries to just evaporate and for him to just relax, causing him to rest his head on Y/N’s. In what had felt like moments, the first chapter was over, and Loki had never felt so calm in his life.
“Thank you, Y/N,” he whispered.
“Anytime, Loki,” Y/N whispered in response. Loki turned his head to kiss the top of theirs as another sign of gratitude, before the two just sat there for a little longer in a comfortable silence.

Young God-Part 1
Summary: Your power isn't even a power its simply words. You can understand people, get into their head and know them better than anyone all willingly on their end. This made you useful to the avengers when villains came and you could understand and fix them. When this is asked to be done to loki you cant help but fall for the god the more you get to know him.
Pairing: Loki x reader
Warning: Swearing, Loki being loki,angst
Notes: Ok lemme just start of saying loki isn't going to be...nice in the beginning of this i got the idea off of joker and harley quinn's relationship and slightly silence of the lambs so do with that what you will now i adore loki so he won't be a dick the whole time just yea someone getting into loki's head? he isn't too chill with that.
Tumblr media
You walked down the stairs leading to the dungeon where the god was locked away ready for you to speak to. you heard the mocking laughs and sarcastic remarks made as you passed the cells.” “hey mortal lemme get a taste” he said thrust to you. you flipped him off not looking at him and passing on by. seeing the god laying on the couch reading a book you walked through the boundaries placed stepping before him. Odin had given you a pill, said it would allow you past the wall of an hour and only you. “hello” he said reading his book still. “apologies for my fellow inmates they can be quiet rude” he said with a small smirk.
“ironic coming from a man with the nickname silver tongue” you said sitting down on a chair in front of him. he placed down his book “oh doll there's more to that nickname” he said with a wink. you simply rolled your eyes in response. you had been told loki was like this. “anyways why are you here” he asked sitting up turning to you “did odin send you to make sure im behaving?” he asked with a snarky tone
You made a mental note of his hatred for odin, though from your interactions with the man you slightly understood that. “i'm here to speak to you” is all you said. loki scoffed “you doll are a horrible liar” he said with a smirk. He stood up and walked around you almost scanning you. “what's the real reason your here?” he asked behind you. “truly i am here to talk to you” you repeated with a straight face and shrug. “then talk” he said bending down right in front of your face. his breath ghosting over your face and his long wavy hair falling in his face. “your a god you live for years on end tell me loki, how old are you?” you asked. loki gave a smile before standing “my age? that's what you came for?” he huffed. “ill answer your questions if you answer mine” he said in return
you turned around facing him “i don't answer questions” you said with a shrug “oh come on doctor i know your other patients didn't just comply with your questioning” he said with a smirk. he was always smiling or smirking, never a true smile something to show planning, no not planning, anger? no not anger. hurt? yes thats it hes hurt and hides it with his devilish smile. to throw you off to push you away. make you fear him over wanting to know him.
Now the new question was how did he know you were a doctor. well you may not be an official doctor but you were one of sorts. You had been in college to get a phycology degree until fury swept you up making you work for him. you tilted your head alarming the god you were lost on his accusation. “oh dear as you said i am a god you don't think i could fall for your tricks and lies like the others did you?” he asked walking to you “doll only i make the tricks here” he said holding your jaw. “now we play by my rules” he said with another smile. “stop” you said. his smile widened “stop smiling” you said. you saw a hint of confusion wash over before it was erased with another smirk “why doll?” he asked. “because its a lie” you said. loki's face became serious “you talk of lies yet you wouldn't tell me why your here” he said walking around the room.
“Fine i'm here to evaluate you” you said simply “now will you answer my questions?” you asked. “I have been just not the ones you want the answer to.” he replied. “agree to my terms and ill be more than willing to answer you” he said with a sarcastic smile “i ask the questions not you” you replied. he shrugged laying back down reading his book again. you only had an hour with him so you had no choice but to comply with his rules or you'll get nowhere but you also didn't want the god to think he could just boss you around and throw a fit.
you shrugged picking up your bag walking out of the room. “1,054″ you said blankly. you turned confused “my age” he said still reading. you nodded walking back in “one question” you said sitting down. he smirked still looking at the book but not reading it “well start simple. name?” he asked. “y/n” you replied. “y/n....mmm now y/n why are you here?” he asked sitting up. “to evalu-” you started to say before he cut you off “why are you here?” he asked “were not doing this loki i said one question” you said standing back up. your hour was almost over. “what happened doctor don't like a taste of your own medicine?” he asked with a dark smile. “why do you do that? smile so much?” you asked. “you tell me you said it was a lie which means you've made your own deductions of it so tell me doc why do i smile so much?” he asked tilting his head.
“to make people uncomfortable. they see you smile this mischievous smile a smile that they expect from the god of mischief. you become what people expect of you so they stay away now why you push people you don't know away i'm not quiet sure on but i assume it has something to do with your spite for odin” you said simply. loki gave a wide smile standing up “well well well doc, you are utterly” he said behind you getting close to your ear “wrong” he said simply straightening backup. “now you well i do have so many things to say about you” he said moving in front of you. “you evaluate people thinking you know everything about them so much more than they know themself, from body language to words to the crime they commited. but i my dear am simply a king who deserved a throne and would fight for it” he said sitting back down “hours up doll better leave before your trapped in here” he said looking at you with another smile.
Walking back up you felt unnerved. the god had a weird aura to him like he could read your mind. granted he may actually be able to in which case you need to be more careful about such things. you walked to your room feeling empty and drained. you fell back on the bed rubbing your face. the odinsons had given you your own quarters while you stayed there. there was  knock on the door and you groaned “its open” you replied and the door opened revealing yet another god, a kinder one. Thor walked over sitting next to you “how was loki?” he asked. “loki was....exactly how yall described him” you sighed. thor griminced he hoped his brother would behave “did you get anything out of him?” he asked. “just his age which is useless it was more a test to see if he'd comply with me. think he got more out of me than i of him” you said looking up at thor.
“give him time. my brother can be...difficult but your a legend at this so you should do well it may take longer than usual but you'll get it” thor said cheerfully. you gave a small smile. you wanted to believe that you truly did but honestly you weren't sure. “loki sure is a strange guy” you said sitting up “Well he's not a guy hes a god such as i and he was raised by my mother” he said to you.
“get some rest i bet you'll do much better tomorrow” he said with a smile walking out. you sighed and changed, laying bed you felt sleep take over.
you stood in a black room seeing your parents smiling faces “mom? dad? you said with a smile. you started to run to them before blood dripped from there eyes and they slowly faded away. you stepped back feeling empty once again. you heard a chuckle and turned seeing loki laugh and roll his eyes before vanishing too
You awoke with a small scream and your heart racing. you were drenched in sweat and tears streamed down your face. once you calmed you growled launching up from bed and walking down to the dungeon storming past the assholes shouting crude things at you. you stood at loki's cell banging on the wall “hey asshole” you said blatantly. “well hello to you too doll isnt this a shocker” he said with another smile god how you wanted to slap that smile off his face “shut up” you said. loki sat up looking at you “well what can i do for you?” he asked. “your not supposed to have you powers in here” you said with a stern face
loki tilted his head in mock confusion “why i don't” he said voice dripping in sarcastic hurt as if offended by such accusations. “don't lie you bastard! You were in my head i know it you know it so let's just both know it” you yelled at him. His smile widened “ok darling but see i do have one question left unanswered. how did your parents die?” he asked stepping to the glass. “they didn't it was simply a nightmare” you groaned.
“no no see people who dream of the death unprompted feel pain, sadness, fear they try to stop it you well you felt nothing you just...stood there” he said looking down at you. “so how was it they died?” he asked. “if you can get in my head then you sure as shit know” you said looking down at the floor. you really did not want to speak of it.
“of course i do doll but i want to hear you say it” he said leaning on the glass. “i will not play into your game” you said storming off “you still hear it dont you? their screams” he said. “i do” he said after
you turned “pardon?” you asked walking back to him. “have a nice night darling” he said smiling walking back to his couch. “but you said-” you were cut off by the sounds of footsteps “oi you are not to be down here madam” the man said walking to you “oh yes sorry i must have sleep walked” you replied walking upstairs back to your bed.
laying down your head felt as if it was spinning. This was going to be an interesting roller coaster wasn't it.

i personally would like to hear more about your thorbruce feels please. what are your favorite headcanons?
hi anon i am HERE to talk about thorbruce forever!!!
i have a headcanons post here that i wrote recently if you wanted to check that out! i’m working on a fix it fic for endgame because they deserved BETTER.
the majority of my headcanons come from other people honestly, because i’m not very good at doing things like that! my best ones are probably in the post i linked above. instead, i’m going to post the first scene i’ve written of my fix it fic below and if you’d like to read it, it’s all yours and i’d love to know what you think about how their relationship would progress post-snap during the five years time jump!
It started when they arrived back from The Garden.
He didn’t know whether to take offence, or to just sit back and let it happen. Maybe he needed space, maybe he needed time to catch his breath and calm his aching muscles. Bruce sure as hell knew he needed that.
Thor, not so much. He never seemed to rest because any time he stopped moving, he’d only feel guilty for not being proactive. But this— this was a new level.
Bruce watched Thor climb into bed as he stood at the door to his room in the Avengers Compound, and he couldn’t recall when Thor next climbed out of it.
Thor’s room had a bed in it, that was all. There was no sense of him ever being there, because he spent most of his time on Asgard. Clint had always tried to get him to decorate it with something, anything, but Thor always refused. It was almost as if he never saw it as his home. Now, it was all he had left.
One of the first questions he’d asked Thor was what happened to the others. Thanos decimated half the Asgardians on the ship, but where did the rest of them go? It was all he had on his mind, all Thor had on his mind, too. Thor did not arrive in Wakanda with Loki, and therefore he assumed the worst. Valkyrie was not by his side either— her whereabouts were unknown at that point, along with Korg. The lack of his people drew from Thor’s spirits.
Rocket had told him about his will to fight Thanos, his complete and utter urge to enable himself to do it. He told Bruce about their visit to Nidavellir, how Thor stopped at nothing to get that axe.
“He almost killed himself,” Rocket drooped over the table, his voice falling low and quiet. “He wouldn’t stop until he got that stupid axe. It was crazy, I tell you, absolutely bat shit— it should’ve killed him. It should’ve.”
But it didn’t. And that was something Bruce knew Thor would be taking the hardest.
On a few of those first nights, Bruce took food to Thor on an evening. They’d practically started a rota: Nat took him breakfast, Steve checked on him at lunch, and Bruce accompanied him for dinner. He never spoke much, never ate much of what Bruce had brought him. But just knowing that he was still breathing was enough for now.
Thor had started reading whilst hibernating in his room. The only explanation for the books appearing in his room was either that he asked Steve or Nat for them or he snuck around when the others slept to the library on the fifth floor and retrieved them himself.
Once again, Bruce didn’t know whether to be offended. It was his forte, almost. He was literally a doctor. He was the only one who read on a daily basis in the Compound. And Thor hadn’t shared his newfound interest in reading with him. So he decided to ask him about it.
Bruce knocked on Thor’s half open door on a Thursday evening. He held an astrology book in his arms, one he hadn’t seen on Thor’s bedroom floor.
“Thor?” He asked. “It’s me. Can I come in?”
Thor only grunted in response. He rolled over in bed, the mattress creaking under his bulk.
Bruce walked into the room and sat on the chair that had been stationed at the end of the bed. Thor forced himself up in the bed. He presented Bruce a half smile.
“Banner,” He mumbled. “How are you?”
“Not important,” Bruce answered. “I brought you a book.”
Thor frowned as Bruce held it out, and he took it weakly. As he outstretched his arm, Bruce’s fingers brushed his hand delicately. They parted ways as Thor secured the book, and he avoided Bruce’s eyes whilst he looked at it.
“Thank you.” Thor said, looking back up at Bruce. “Why?”
“I noticed you’ve been reading a lot so I wanted to offer up a favourite of mine. It might remind you of home.” Bruce grimaced as he realised what he’d said, and he felt his pulse quicken with unease. “I shouldn’t have said that.”
Thor closed the book in his lap. “Please, don’t. It’s fine. Thank you, Banner. I will return it as soon as possible.”
“No, take your time. It’s yours for as long as you want it.” Bruce answered. When Thor was silent in response, he perked up again. “What have you been reading lately?”
“Why the interest?” Thor asked.
Bruce almost laughed. “I’m the only one who reads regularly in the Compound, Thor. It’s nice to see someone else take an interest for once. You could’ve talked to me.”
He nodded dismissively. “I apologise. I haven’t felt like talking much lately.”
“I know,” Bruce replied, moving from the chair to the bed swiftly. Thor kept his eyes on the crinkled duvet beneath them, and Bruce just placed his hands in his lap. “You don’t have to talk yet. But Thor, you should talk to someone when you’re ready. This isn’t healthy.”
“Have you come in here to talk about books or to doctor me, Banner?” Thor snapped, head snapping up instantly. “Because I am far from in the mood.”
“Not at all.” Bruce answered quickly. “I— Thor, I’m worried about you, that’s all.”
“You needn’t be.”
“Bullshit,” Bruce spat. “What the hell is that supposed to mean, Thor?”
“I’m fine, Banner. I don’t need your help, I need to grieve.” Thor swallowed, eyes filling with tears. “You don’t need to worry about me.”
“But I do,” Bruce answered softly. “I can’t just make that go away. You shouldn’t have to take all of this on yourself.
“It is my failure to carry.”
“It’s our failure, Thor. We are a team.”
Thor shook his head. “Not according to Stark and Rogers.”
Bruce scoffed. “Since when did you listen to them?”
“I couldn’t even find him, Banner. When he was up there dying, I couldn’t find him. What kind of hero does that make me? I couldn’t save my people, I couldn’t save Heimdall and Loki, and I couldn’t find Stark. If I can’t even find one person and save them, what good am I to the world? That’s a question we’ve already seen answered, haven’t we, Banner?”
Bruce was silenced by Thor’s words. He gulped away the tears he didn’t know had risen, and stood from Thor’s bed. Thor lugged his body over once more and faced the wall as he lay back down. Bruce saw his body rise and fall with a deep sigh.
“Thank you for the book.” He mumbled, not turning back to Bruce.
He left the room without responding, the only thing in the silence being Thor’s door shutting.

The Writer of Thunder // Thor x Reader
Word Count: 1423
There was so much effort and work into writing. You couldn't come up with what to write. You had hit stalemate in your writing. You had no inspiration whatsoever. That's when you decided to go to New Asgard for a vacation. You had heard a friend talk about the beautiful architecture. You had also heard that this place was beautiful beyond belief and you could tell that it was in a simpler time than the rest of the world. You had spent days on the shores and looking through old ruins, the forests, and monuments of the town trying to get inspired. It was beautiful as you had heard. Yes. But, it was a speechless, rustic kind of beauty. You relaxed on a rock near a pier where boats were in the marina. You still didn't know what to write though. At least, it was a good trip. Too bad you had to leave in a day without the story you so craved. You huffed an exasperated sigh.
You glanced up and saw a silhouette of a man on a high cliff and you began your hike up to the hills to see what the person was up to around mid-afternoon.
Thor, our Thunder God off on the side of the cliffs of Asgard, was looking off at the sea's horizon as the sun began to set, having sat there since noon. He sat with his legs hanging off a rocky cliff overlooking the fjord. The skies began to change from oranges to yellows with blotches of magenta pink clouds occasionally flowing across the view. Thor was in charge of Asgard, basically, now, with his father not around. This was Thor's home. It was his shelter. A place he would go to play with the sky and it's darkness and brightness with his lightning bolts. He would rarely leave his magnificent land. It was his favorite place to be. To him it wasn't just a vacation. He had always been a leader. He was still regal but there was a humble side to him, too.
He straightened his posture and with a jerk looked behind him as he saw a rock be thrown into the rocky waters from behind from your hand wanting to get his attention.
"Mind if I join you?" (y/n) said to the messy haired blonde man.
Thor stood up and nodded. "You may. I am Thor, God of Thunder. You are?"
"(Y/n.)" you replied, "what are you doing up here all alone?" you sit next to him with legs folded under you cross legged.
Thor smiled softly, "I am here because it is my duty to my people to watch the lovely night sky with them." trying to show himself as a good leader. He sat on the edge of the cliff again beside you.
"You talk so formal..."
"You speak too imformal." He spouted back fake offended with a smile.
"I know who you are. The Avenger... You helped everyone... a lot... I must say I am impressed with your missions... Thank you for saving the world."
"I was only doing my duty." Thor then gestured out to the sky to show you his pink clouds and orange skies. "Isn't it full of beauty?"
You smiled and nodded to him.
Thor tilted his head. "Why did you come up here?"
You replied, "I saw you up here and I was wondering what you were looking at. So, I came well I hiked up here. It took me half the day... well like 3 hours..."
"Your Midguardian feet must hurt... I have some healing salve at my home."
"Well, it's getting late... I'll come over tomorrow, yeah?"
Thor chuckled looking down then up to your eyes with his blues. "i will send for you. Where will you be taking refuge?"
"I actually have to leave tomorrow night..."
"Does that mean you haven't anywhere to stay?"
"I do..."
"You must stay with me tonight. Yes?"
"I just met you... Just send for me. Please?"
"Yes, it's inappropriate of me to ask that is it not?"
You shrugged and smiled soft. "Good night Thor." You looked off to the dark navy and white speckled sky as he laid down and stared at the stars when you walked away "Do you want to join me? The sky tells a story of heartbreak, brightness, and terror. It could change at any moment. But the stars are everlasting."
Inspiration. It had come as you were sitting with this man looking at all the stars above.
He started telling you about how he became an Avenger and about how Loki and his father and him and mother all had secrets from each other. He answered all your questions.
He helped you back to your cottage you were staying at and wished you good night and he sent for you and you came back to his house the next afternoon since you got in late and he wanted you to rest some before your journey home. He gave you a house tour. Then, he sat you in a huge decorated den and started answering your questions as he had the day before.
Before you left, you helped Thor find his house's phone so he could talk to you and help you with your story, further. You loved hearing stories of his brother and him. It was so interesting. It was funny and tragic at the same time. You loved talking to him, too. His accent helped. He couldn't get enough of talking with you, either. He never had gotten the hang of phones, though. He ended up writing you letters, snail mail. Which he told more to you than if you were talking on a phone, so you just let him eventually threw the phone aside and just write you letters.
He told you that you could come back at any time. You were always welcome and he was happy to be your inspiration. He trusted your writing to tell the truth about his brother and his little and big brotherly squalls. He became slow in replying. He had been saving the world again.
Thor was very happy to receive the book of two brothers. Reading would give him a break from all the drama he had been dealing with, with the Avengers and Loki and his wonderful but somewhat stressful subjects. He was a good ruler. He cared for his people. That's when a soft smile came across his face as he opened the book from the land's post master.
As he took the book, he started walking toward the cliff, while he walked to the cliffs where he had originally met the author. That's where he found his friend that had sent him this book of two brothers. He smiled knowing you would be there.
"(Y/n), This book is a reflection on the stories I told you the time I was placed in your presence last year of my brother and me? Correct?" remembering what he told you in his tales of his brother and him even in letters. Hoping he could find you.
"How did you know you could find me here?" You smiled.
"I was hopeful." He smiled. He placed a hand on your shoulder and sat.
He sat sitting off the side of the cliff and opened the book to the first page wanting to show you his facial expressions while he read. He thanked you for writing such a masterpiece. The names were different in the book but he appreciated the way you wrote.
"You should move here." He chuckled as he noticed you admiring once more as before the horizon of the fjord.
You looked over to him and shook your head smiling. "No, Thor. I will visit every now and then though. It's beautiful. You have a beautiful land..."
"You have become a dear friend of mine. I only wanted to watch you to make sure you are safe. I only feel I can do that from Asgard."
"You are my good friend too, Thor and maybe one day you can introduce me to Loki."
Thor shook his head. "I have not seen him lately."
"That's ok. I would've loved to had met him. I'm just glad I get to see you whenever when I come here. Do you like the book?"
Thor grinned wide showing all his white teeth. He had so many teeth in his mouth. He had a great contagious smile. "Thank you, (y/n)." Only having read a few front pages.

PP| House Of Disaters
Summary: you and peter do a lil sum sum and your dad catches you, causing something unexpected
Warning: smut in the beginning, probably terrible, language and flying couches.
A/n: i will still be continueing Pretty Colors, but with these pictures I couldn’t help it. This story is kinda like @spideyyeet go check out her tumblr!
Tumblr media
“OH- oh shit! Peter don’t stop!” Your words night pitched as peter is under the covers, eating you like a fucking animal.
He moans onto you in return, so good you don’t know where to put your hands. “Fucking shit pe-Peter!” You let out a distant moan.
“Yeah? You like it when I fuck your sweet pussy like this? Mmm” he swirls his tongue around your clit making you whimper and reach down for his hair, biting your lip and trying to buck your hips up.
“Ah ah. Take what you get” he remarks, wrapping his arms around your legs and shifting them down, licking a long strip of your wet womanhood, making you whine and tug.
“Peter please!” You whine, he chuckles and kissing your clit. “Don’t make fun of mee!” You whine again, pulling his hair making him grunt and run his tongue over your hole, slowly entering as you sigh. He raises the pad of his thumb and rubs your nub harshly, applying very tight circles. “Oh my god!” You let out a high pitched moan, trying your hardest to buck your hips up but it was no help.
He hums sending vibrations up you, causing your back to jolt. You scratch his scalp while he trails up, sucking on your clit and entering his fingers in your slit without warning. “Fuck!” You moan loudly, honestly not caring about who hears you. He rubs faster, you feel your body tighten as you desperately open your legs wider, itching for that release.
“Are you okay!” Steve busts in the door. Seeing your messed up hair and your mouth wide open with the print of your legs open under the covers, your eyes closed. “WHAT THE FUCK!” He lets out a high pitched scream, you wanting peter to stop, but of course he didn’t. He feels you are nearly at your release, and he’s not allowing it to pass, needing your release. “WHAT ARE YOU- STOP IT!” Steve yells again, looking at the body under the cover squirm a bit.
Peter shakes his head no, making you release on his mouth and chin, you yell peters name as he pulls away with a pop noise. “Sorry?” You say, more of a question, turning to your dad. Steve’s mouth agape in shock as peter comes up, wiping his mouth and giving a weak smile.
“Don’t you dare smile at me. I guess we are having sex Ed class now, please get dressed” Steve says weakly, he stance hunchaback as he walks out. “I can’t believe he put his mouth on my daughter” he mutters shaking his head, closing the door, just so Sam and Bucky can come in laughing, recording saying things like
“oh peter! You missed a spot”
“Oh no he didn’t, more like he hit the spot!”
You roll your eyes and throw your pillow at them, making them continue to giggle and walk out, also closing the door.
Peter chuckles and gives you a kiss “I’m sorry, I couldn’t stop. You just taste so fucking good,”. You bite his lip pulling away, tasting yourself on his lips.
“I know but like that was my dad pete! We need to go before he busts the door down” you laugh, getting up and cleaning yourself before putting on a fresh pair of panties, and out on peters boxers for shorts.
Peter bites his bottom lip and puts his shirt back on, smacking your ass and walking behind you to an interview room, that you guys had for whatever reason. “You look really good in these” he whispers.
“Thanks, cocky Parker” you giggle, sitting down on the other side of your dad, peter joining.
“This is professional, how dare you wear those small things to this interview” Steve says, highly offended and Sam and Bucky walk in and set up the cameras, Sam making a snarky comment.
“He must have a real small penis” Bucky cackles while peters face flushes, Steve groaning “this is my daughter for heavens sakes!”
“Alright, do you know how offended I am peter? Did you atleast brush your teeth this morning before you put your mouth, possibly your teeth, on my daughters privacy?” Steve says, his hands a certain way and his face in all seriousness. “You understand that you might have a mouth disease and you put that on MY daughter, even your fingers! Do you masturbate?” He adds on, making peter choke.
“W-what?” He asks, barely above a whisper. Hiding his mouth with his hand. Your eyes widen as memories play, Steve noticing and he whines and slaps his hands on his lap.
“What the fuckkk!” He whines, looking at Peter in a pleading way. “No! I haven’t! I don’t do that!” Peter quickly says, raising his hands to stop him any further.
“And you! How could you let him do that? How long!” He asks, you look at Peter then at your dad and shrug. “WHAT THE FUCK!” Steve yells making Sam and Bucky cackle behind the cameras.
“Let the kids breathe, Capsicle” tony says, walking in throwing popcorn in his mouth. “How would you feel if she was your daughter?” Steve snarks back, making tony raise his hands up in defense. “But she isn’t so I’m chillin” he shrugs, sitting on the couch watching behind the scenes.
Your dad sighs and sits up straight, peters face a bit relaxed because Tony’s here. “Did you guys- ya know?” Steve asks, putting his index finger between is circled index finger and thumb on the other hand. You suck in a breath, trying your hardest not to burst into laughter.
“Woah woah woah! What’s goin on here!” Thor says, coming back from training and his eyes stuck on Steve’s hands. “It seems here that peter” Steve lays his hand infront of peter “and Y/n” he does the same “did something that’s unforgivable, plus they did it RIGHT IN MY FACEE!” He yells while turning to peter, who’s face gets flushed again.
“Oh, well that’s cool” he pokes out his lower lip, sitting right next to tony as he laughs and hands Thor some popcorn, that he gladly accepts.
“NO NO! NOT MY BABY GIRL! PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A LIE!” Wanda says, running in. She could basically hear Steve’s thoughts. You furrow you’re eyebrows.
“I don’t even know what’s happening” you turn to look at the camera, flipping it off. Bucky reminds himself to blur it out later.
“What’s happening is peter BASICALLY ATE YOU OUT!” Steve exclaims, everyone cringing at his words. Tony throws popcorn at the back of peters head, slowly.
“Mr-mr. stark! Stop it!” Peter says, finally turning around and rubbing over the spot, his face scrunched while tony just throws another one, making you laugh.
“Good job young spider” Thor cheers him on, Wanda turns to him and shakes her head.
“NOT GOOD JOB! ARE YOU NUTS?!”
“NO! NO IM NOT!” Thor stands up, pointing at Wanda.
“WOULD YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!” Carol yells, coming in the room filled with some avengers, Bucky and Sam nod in agreement and swiftly change the camera to carol.
“IM SO SORRY, BUT THIS ONE RIGHT HERE JUST DID SOMETHING WITH MY DAUGHTER!” Steve exclaims, throwing both of his hands at peter making him flinch.
“WELL IF YOU DIDNT WALK IN THIS WOULDNT BE A PROBLEM-“
“EXCUSE MEEEE PARKER!” Steve cuts him off making peter jump back, holding his hands on both sides of his head.
“Thor is crazy, this whole thing is crazy, Peter. Your crazy” Wanda says, turning to him and pointing at him. They turn the cameras and giggle behind them.
“The boy needs his deeds! Let him breathe, he ate the girl out, he thinks she’s delicious-“
“OKAY SHUT UP!” Carol cuts him off, extremely disgusted by his word choice.
“MAYBE YOU NEED TOO, PESANT!” Thor screams, walking up to her and also pointing at her ferociously, saying some very fine asgardian words.
“Brother do you know what sleep is? Because I’m trying to do that” Loki says, walking in. Only to be ignored and Carol screaming at the top of her lungs, her face mad and angry as Wanda also joins, teaming up on thor. But he doesn’t give up without a fight. He continues to scream also, Clint running up and holding him back.
Suddenly nat comes in and walks up to you, Steve, and peter. She sits on your lap and takes your hands to put them around her waist. “What’s goin on?” She asks, yawning.
“Peter is a fucking douchebag” Steve rolls his eyes, ignoring the commotion infront of him while Sam and Bucky manage to steal the popcorn from tony, who’s to busy tying his shoe.
“Wait how?” Nat asks, turning to look at Peter who scoffs and hides his face in his hands. “Yeah, how peter? Say it!” Steve exclaims again, throwing his hands and waving them up and down stiffly.
“I-I” he stutters, fiddling with his fingers. “Oh quit the act, you weren’t doing that when you put your nasty breath on my daughter choo choo!” Steve says, nat makes a face as if she’s trying her hardest not to laugh, she turns to you in the same face making you chuckle and nod. “It’s true” you mutter.
Scott comes in with a book in his hand, sitting at a small table, trying to read. But of course, the debate if it’s okay to have hands on your stuff is still causing commotion. It got extra extreme when Thor hopped on one foot to take off the other, throwing it at Wanda. She gasps and furrows her eyebrows, turning to carol as they both nod in agreement.
“HOLY-“ Bucky yells when the couch gets lifted, making Tony fall on the floor as he groans and sits down criss-crossed. “SHIT! HOLY SHIT!” Sam finishes bucky’s comment, turning the camera back and forth, as Steve also starts yelling at peter.
Scott starts to have a pounding headache, “BE QUIET, I just want to read and I can’t even do that!” He yells, making everyone turn to him, his eyes watering as he rubs one of them, the book in the other. Everyone stitches their eyebrows in confusion, looking around and seeing the couch not in its place, you, nat, angry hot head Steve, and Peter sitting in a casual interview. Sam and bucky’s face full of popcorn, only hearing their chews and Thor’s heavy breathes, Clint still holding onto him as carol has her hands on her hips, Wanda having her hands on her knees and gasping for air, Loki sitting across from Scott and looking at him as if he’s disgusted, but mentally he is thanking him.
Peter gives off a face making you look at him and giggle silently, Tony now laying down and smirking at you both.
“So….. did she taste good?” Sam asks, turning the camera to Peter and you, breaking the silence. You look at the camera as if you're in The Office, blinking your eyes repeatedly and your lips in a tight line.
“Let’s go” Steve says, standing up and exiting, everyone else walking out until he stops Sam. “Not you” he puts a hand to his chest.
“D-don't do this to me man, it- I didn’t mean it” Sam stutters, his eyes suddenly getting red and watery.
“Nah man, it’s good,” Steve says, softly pushing him in the room and closing the door. Locking him from the outside he rests his hands on his hips, turning to you and peter “not again”.
Everyone else got to their normal thing, except Sam. He sat in the chair until he got an idea to take pictures, he set it up and took a few, trying to make himself happy. “Eh man I fucked up” he sighs and sets himself in the tall chair, but smiling as he re-looks at the pictures.

Wait for me on the other side 7/8
Summary:
Will we attend the long awaited meeting?
Notes:
Final stretch before the end... How are you doing?

Loki's apartment - 2021
I WANT TO MEET YOU!
FOR REAL THIS TIME!
Loki turned the drawing over, Mobius had added a few words to it.
Answer me after 6pm, I'll wait by the mailbox.
Loki looked at the clock, it was 5:15 p.m., he took his notepad and his pencil and left in a hurry towards the house on the cliff.
Arriving a few minutes after 6pm, he went to the mailbox, scribbled quickly on his notebook, tore out the page and after putting it in the box, he raised the flag.
It was lowered almost immediately, the start of another conversation punctuated by its movement.
Mobius House - 2019
Mobius was pacing around the box, avoiding looking at his watch every minute, wondering if he had frightened Loki with his request for a date, when the flag suddenly rose.
L -How?
M -Pick a place. I will be there. I promise. Tomorrow, what do you say?
L -Mobius. It's not tomorrow for you. You'll have to wait two years.
M -I don't care. I'll wait. Meet me at the restaurant tomorrow and I'll be there. I'll be two years older, but I'll be there.
L -What will you be doing all that time?
M -Think about you. And working out every day, getting in shape, praying I don't lose my hair...
L -Are you sure?
M -I've never been so sure of anything in my life. I've already lost so much time. I don't want to waste any more with you.
Loki suddenly felt almost dizzy. Mobius had two years to prepare for this appointment while Loki had less than twenty-four hours. He took a deep breath before closing the mailbox.
L - See you in two years, then.
M - See you tomorrow night. Where would you like to go?
Frigga  restaurant - 2019
Mobius entered the restaurant and was greeted by the hostess.
"Hi, I'd like to reserve a table for two."
She flipped through the reservation book before telling him in an apologetic tone, "Well, I'm sorry, but we just received our fourth star and I'm afraid it's extremely difficult to get a reservation at this hour. When did you expect to dine here?"
Mobius replied with a smile, "Two years from tomorrow. September 15, 2021."
The hostess blinked a few times and then closed the book, before answering with a big smile, "We should be able to accommodate you, sir."
Loki's apartment - September 15, 2021 - Morning
Loki prepared to leave for work. He looked at the outfit he prepared for that evening. He couldn't remember when he hadn't felt such excitement. He couldn't remember ever feeling this excited.
September High School - September 15, 2021 - 5pm
As he packed up his things after having finished his last class of the day, and was already looking forward to the evening ahead, he was jolted out of his reverie by Thor's stormy arrival in his office.
"Thank God you're still here."
"Obviously." replied Loki, pointing out with irony.
"I'm sorry, I know it's not your week, but can you do a detention watch for an hour? Jane is visiting between flights and I was supposed to monitor tonight's detention, but-"
Loki looked at his watch and sighed, "Yes, I can, but one hour not more. I have a date."
"Thank you, thank you! I promise, it's just an hour, no more. But I want to hear all about this date tomorrow, okay?"
Loki shook his head and chuckled, "Alright, alright, go meet Jane!"
Before leaving, Thor threw over his shoulder, "I don't know who that is, but I've never seen you smile like that before, Loki, and it suits you! Bye!"
He was gone before Loki had time to answer.
An hour later, Loki was walking quickly towards his apartment. He entered in a hurry, ran into the room and threw off his clothes.
Croki followed him around, curious, as Loki muttered, "He waited two years. What's another half hour? Right?"
He continued his preparations, but at a calmer pace. He put on a dark green v-neck sweater, of a shade that he knew brought out his eyes, at least that's what the saleswoman had told him, a pair of charcoal-colored pants that highlighted his silhouette. He looked at himself two or three times in the mirror before shrugging his shoulders.
A few minutes later, he left his building and took a cab to the restaurant.
Frigga Restaurant - September 2021
Loki stopped before entering. He inhaled several times to calm himself. He was ready, excited but confident. He opened the door with a firm hand.
While removing his coat, he scanned the room. There are not many tables. Before he could find Mobius, the hostess approached him.
"Good evening sir, can I help you?"
Loki cleared his throat, "Yes, I have a reservation. Laufeyson. Or Mobius, I'm not sure what name it was made under."
The hostess examined her book and looked up with a huge smile, "Oh yes! You're the..." she paused before pulling herself together, "Follow me."
Loki was led to a table for two. It was empty. He was a little surprised.
The hostess turned to him and said, a little embarrassed, "I hope you'll forgive me, but I can't help asking..."
"Yes?"
"This reservation is sort of... legendary. It's been here longer than most employees. There's always been intense speculation about who made it, and why, and whether you were really going to show up. Some of the team members even made bets..."
Loki looked around. Throughout the room, waiters were glaring at him. The chefs and kitchen helpers were looking out the kitchen door. Loki suddenly felt very embarrassed.
The hostess immediately apologized, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have... I'll send the waiter to get your drink order right away."
A little later a waiter returned and poured Loki a glass of champagne.
"Compliments of the chef."
Loki nodded in thanks.
Just before leaving, the waiter threw him a small smile, "Good luck."
Loki began to sip the champagne, a little more nervous.
Some time later, his glass was empty and he was still waiting, alone at the table. The waiter approached to refill his glass, but Loki stopped him.
He was aware that the restaurant staff was watching him, whispering among themselves. Two hours passed, other customers lingered over dessert, coffee, chatting intimately at the candlelit tables.
Loki was still alone.
After a long moment, he pushed back his chair and stood up. Everyone was looking at him, gravely.
He walked to the front, expressionless, and took his coat, without speaking to anyone before leaving under the sad look of the hostess watching him leave. Loki returned home, alone. His stoic facade began to crumble. He had tears in his eyes.
He took a paper and wanted to write but didn't have the heart. Not now.
House on the cliff - September 16, 2019
The day was gray and windy, Mobius stood in front of his mailbox and read the words "YOU WEREN'T THERE." He shook his head, lost.
M - I'm really sorry. I don't understand. Something must have happened. Look, I have two years. I'll try to fix it.
L -No, Mobius... You don't understand. It's too late. It's already happened.
I'm not upset. I mean, I was at first.
But now I just feel stupid... that I forgot how much a person's life can change in two years.
And for expecting yours not to change.
For expecting you to wait, to stand still, to put your life on hold, for me.
M - But I can do it. I can wait for you. I know I can. I won't forget.
L -Maybe you did. Maybe, wherever you are, you are busy, happy, and living so fully in the present that the dinner you planned two years ago just... slipped your mind. Just like you forget about impossible fantasies when they're over, when you get on with real life.
M - You mean I should go on with my real life?
L- I mean... I think we both should.
After seeing his words, Mobius hurried to answer, his hand trembling with emotion.
Please write to me, answer me.
Mobius put his letter in the mailbox and raised the flag. It stayed up.
An hour later, the flag was still up, Mobius opened the mailbox, there was only the note he had put in.
Hours, then days, then months passed, as Mobius wrote and posted letter after letter. Finally, there was a stack of his letters in the box. They continued to pile up, unanswered. Until the box was so full that Mobius could not put any more letters in.
Bi-Frost Bar - Février 2022
It was winter, everything outside was covered in snow.
Loki was sitting at a table with Bruce, Thor, Heimdall and Carol.
They were now meeting here at least once a week after work.
As Bruce and Carol debated some obscure point of astronomy, mediated by Heimdall, Thor leaned toward Loki and put his hand on his arm.
"Are you okay?"
Loki gave a half-smile and answered honestly because Thor was one of the few people who could read him, "I've been better."
"Are you still writing to your mysterious pen pal."
Loki, his throat tight, could not answer and shook his head.
Thor simply said, without insisting, "I'm sorry, Loki, if you need to talk, you know my phone number."
Loki did not answer.
Later, as he returned home, he found a message on his answering machine.
"Hi, Lo. It's Sigyn. I'm in town. I had to come in for a meeting."
Loki started to press the button to delete the message, when Sigyn's voice continued, "A real one this time. I swear to you. Call me. Only if you feel like it."
The next evening Loki and Sigyn were sitting in the pizzeria where they had met before. Neither of them really felt comfortable.
Sigyn said quietly, "I didn't think you'd come out."
Loki replied wryly, "Don't take this personally but..."
Sigyn interrupted him, "You couldn't say no to the free meal."
"Exactly." they both laughed.
Then Loki asked, "So. How did your ' meeting ' go?"
Sigyn looked slightly offended at the way Loki had emphasized the word meeting.
"I told you I didn't make it up, it really happened. They offered me a job.A bigger firm. I'm going to be in-house counsel." She smiled proudly before continuing, "Call them if you don't believe me."
A little later, they arrived in front of Loki's residence which was on the way to Sigyn's hotel. They stopped at the door.
Sigyn said quietly, "I took this job because I wanted to. This is not an ambush, Lo."
Loki nodded and replied softly, "Well, that's great news.  Congratulations, Sigyn. I'm really happy for you."
Sigyn smiled, "Thank you, and thank you for coming."
Loki leaned over and kissed her goodnight, briefly. Sigyn looked surprised and pleased.
Loki watched her, it was comfortable and familiar, but then his gaze slipped to the tree behind Sigyn. Its leaves swayed in the night air. It was the tree Mobius had planted. Loki looked at it, then closed his eyes and shook his head. "No, I'm sorry Sigyn, but I can't."
After a tearful goodbye, as he walked back up to his apartment, Loki muttered to himself, "I may not be able to meet him, but I can't lie to myself either."
Mobius House - 2020
The mailbox was covered with snow. It was so cold that the lake had frozen over. Mobius, who was walking outside, looked inside the mailbox, by reflex. It was empty. He closed it slowly, disappointment on his face.
Distracted, he didn't notice that Croki was walking away quickly, towards the forest.
Mobius finally looked around.
Croki started to run. Mobius chased him. But soon, in the density of the forest, he did not see him anymore. Mobius ran straight ahead, continuing to call. He tripped on a stump and fell into the snow, he got up and called again, looking around, upset. Croki was really gone.
Mobius was about to run again, when he suddenly stopped. A realization dawned on his face.
Croki was going to find his new owner.
Mobius knew what he had to do.
A few days later, he was talking in the living room with Casey.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
Mobius replied with a wistful look on his face, "Yes, I need to move on, staying here, I won't make it."
Casey nodded, understanding and added simply, "If you need help, you can count on me."
A few weeks later, "Mobius packed the house methodically and with determination. He assembled boxes with tape and threw his things in. He put the trash in bags, swept and mopped.
As he was tidying up, he found the stack of letters from Loki. He looked at them for a moment, then packed them up and shoved them in the bottom of a cardboard box before carrying the box to the attic and sealing it.
Hill & Fury Law Firm - 2020
Mobius checked the address on his phone, walked in, and headed to the front desk.
"Hello, I'd like to speak to Sigyn Iwaldi, I don't have an appointment, but tell her it's Mobius and it's urgent."
A few minutes later, Sigyn arrived in the lobby, and motioned for him to follow her into an adjoining meeting room.  She barely greeted him and did not look happy to see him.
Mobius didn't wait and asked her point-blank, "Do you still want to rent a house by the lake?"
He didn't wait for an answer and tossed her a bunch of keys. Sigyn looked puzzled.
Mobius continued, "That's what Loki wants."
Sigyn looked angry and asked him abruptly, "How can you know that? How can you know what he wants? Besides, we're not even..."
Mobius shook his head, "I don't want to know anything, but trust me this is what he wants."
Mobius waited no longer and stomped out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
Later, as Sigyn was opening her car, something caught her eye in the distance. An alligator was slowly strolling down the street, looking lost but heading straight for her. It was Croki.

Chapter Three
As soon as the doors opened Natasha sauntered out of the elevator, leaving you to trail after her. The first person to notice and acknowledge you was Vision, who drifted over and held his fist out to you.
“I have garnered from watching the interactions of the team that when a friend is victorious it is customary to offer them your fist so that they may bump it.” He explained, pleased with himself.
You shifted your coffee to your non-dominant hand and accepted the proffered fist bump, cooing under your breath at his adorableness.
“There she is, my favourite lil genius!” Sam crowed loudly, jogging over to sling his arm around your shoulders.
“Excuse me? Is she the genius who pays for everything?” Tony squawked, offended.
“Shush, let me have my moment.” You scolded.
“You did very well today.” Wanda said softly, and you had to look around for a moment before you spotted her on the couch, sandwiched between Clint and Steve.
“Yeah, I had Friday pull the footage so I can watch it on repeat.” Clint sniggered ecstatically as Sam swept you over to the seating area.
Something cold touched your wrist and you looked down at Bucky who was splayed across an armchair. He didn’t say anything, just caught your eye and gave you a firm nod of approval.
“What kind of coffee is that?” Tony demanded, snatching the cup from your hand and taking a sip.
“Gimme a break, I took an impromptu and unwilling flying lesson today.” You scoffed, snatching it back.
“But I caught you!” Peter exclaimed, wiggling in his seat like a proud puppy who’d successfully performed a trick.
“Yes, yes you did. Three cheers for Spiderinfant!” You scoffed, letting Sam push you onto the couch next to Steve.
“I agree, congratulations are in order for the young ones and their part in todays battle. Were this Asgard, we would feast for days to honour them.”
“Let’s go to Asgard then.” You stage whispered to Peter.
“Alas, I have just returned from Asgard and I have much news.” Thor admitted heavily.
“Lay it on us, how much did Loki screw up Asgard?” Tony asked.
“While masquerading as my father Loki ruled Asgard fairly and justly. He built monuments to himself of course but the people did not seem to mind. I suspect many of them knew it was Loki in disguise but choose to continue the charade. Indeed, Asgard is peaceful and prosperous.” Thor admitted, befuddled.
“Huh. How about that? The would be King was actually fit for the job. Maybe we should have just given Loki the planet.” You sniggered.
“Joking. Obviously.” You quickly added when you were subjected to numerous hard stares.
“So what’s the bad news?” Steve asked, getting back on track.
“The Enchantress Amora began causing havoc in Asgard, that is why Loki came here to find a weapon to stop her. She has been captured, though only barely. I believed Loki was acting in Asgards best interest until we went to the Vaults and the tesseract disappeared.”
“Loki has the Tesseract?” Steve asked sharply.
“I do not know. The Tesseract was in the vault. It disappeared before our very eyes and we know not where it has gone.”
“Friday, where’s Loki?” Tony snapped out quickly.
“He is on the balcony reading about childhood trauma and the effects it can have in later life.” Friday responded.
“Who gave Loki a book?” Steve sighed.
You sunk down in your seat guiltily, refusing to meet Natasha’s eye.
“I did. Thought he might learn something.” The redheaded Russian said blithely, covering for you.
You put your hand up nervously.
“You can go to the bathroom, you don’t need to ask.” Clint whispered, shaking his head slightly at you.
“Good to know, but… What do you mean The Tesseract disappeared. In all the years it was studied on Earth it never acted on it’s own. Someone had to have taken it, somehow. There’s only one person we know of who can do anything similar to that, and he knew where it was. It had to have been Loki.” You suggested.
“Agreed. Friday, up the security on Loki and around the tower.” Tony instructed, taking your suggestion seriously.
“I will guard Loki personally.” Thor said sagely, picking up his hammer.
He didn’t really wait for an agreement, just stomped out onto the landing and stepped over the edge.
“Love that guy. Knows how to make an entrance and an exit.” You snorted.
“You’ll get used to it.” Steve assured, patting your shoulder.
“Will I? Because as fun as today has been, I don’t really see myself hanging out with you in much of an Avenging capacity. Feel free to invite me to Pizza Parties though! And by feel free, I mean do it or I’ll subscribe you to every penis enlargement scam on the net.” You warned.
“You wanna tell her?” Steve asked Tony.
You looked between them, teetering between curious excitement and nervous fear.
“Tell me what? Tell meeeeeeeeee!” You demanded.
“Wanna hang out with us in an Avenging capacity? Pizza parties included.” Tony asked giddily, looking quite proud of himself.
“All of our scientific minds are also out on the front, fighting. We think it would be beneficial if we had people working full time on tech, communications, weaponry etc… People we can trust. We already know you, we like you, we trust you and you’ve more than proven how capable you are.” Steve added.
Proud of you, Tony was proud of you, not himself. You were being extended a coveted invitation to…
“So you want me to be your ‘Q’?” You clarified.
“Yes.” Steve agreed, rolling his eyes when you and Tony gaped at him in surprise.
“I’ve seen James Bond.” He said flatly.
“We’re offering you a job Princess. We want you to move into the compound upstate and work for The Avengers full time. You wouldn’t be in the public eye so you would be safe, and yes you will have your own lab. All the toys and funding you want.” Tony explained.
“Barnes and I have worked out a training schedule for you, not that we’re expecting you to go on missions.” Natasha added, smiling over at you smugly.
“We picked you out a room next to mine.” Wanda said excitedly.
“I stopped Tony from making your room pink, but I couldn’t talk him out of the Canopy bed.” Sam snorted.
“That beds awesome. If you don’t want it, I’ll have it!” Clint offered enthusiastically.
“Banners at the compound now, setting up your lab equipment.” Steve added, explain the Doctors absence from the meeting.
“Wait, you’re taking her upstate?” Peter piped up, near pouting.
“Relax kid, we’re not locking her up, she’s not going from Sleeping Beauty to Rapunzel. You can still have playdates.” Tony assured.
Throughout all the excitement you had remained uncharacteristically silent, something that started to dawn on everyone.
“Uh, I… My coffee is cold. I’m going to make a fresh one.” You muttered, getting stiffly to your feet.
 “Princess?”
“Just give me a minute, please. I’ll be back.” You said briskly, high-tailing it towards the elevator.
“Well done guys, you scared her off.” Sam grouched as you slipped into the elevator, trying not to hyper-ventilate.
It was a more than generous offer, it was a dream come true. But you couldn’t help but wander back to your lab in a daze, trying to untie the knot in your stomach. This was literally the biggest thing to ever happen to you, being invited to work with Earth’s Mightiest. You’d have access to resources and tech beyond your imagination, you could work directly with Tony and Banner not just for them. You could have a hand in saving the world, changing it, improving and saving lives.
So why were you sat on a chair with your head in your hands and trying not to cry?
“Princess, your heart rate is elevated and you are showing signs of distress. Is everything ok?” Friday asked, her volume lower than it normally was.
“And there is your greatest fear, laid bare. You can’t stand the thought that your death will be as meaningless and unimportant as your life.”
“I’m fine Friday.” You answered numbly.
“The genius in a tower of people smarter than her, brushing shoulders with champions and knowing she will never be one, surrounded by greatness but unable to achieve it herself.”
“Should I inform Mr Stark you need him?” She prodded.
“You hate that you are insignificant, that you will never rise above the mediocrity that is so prevalent in your race.”
“No. I don’t need Tony. I don’t need anyone.” You replied coldly.
You knew what was wrong now. You were scared. Scared that you’d have the chance to be something more, to be important and that you would blow it. It was easy to hope for something but when that hope came to fruition it wasn’t easy to follow through.
What if you weren’t as smart as they thought you were?
What if you messed up and someone got hurt?
What if you crumbled under the pressure?
What if you let yourself down?
What if you let Tony down?
What if you got what you wanted and realised it wasn’t what you needed?
What if you didn’t fit in?
What if they realised the same thing everybody else always inevitably did, that you weren’t likeable?
What if you got thrown out and lost everything?
You were so consumed with what ifs that you didn’t notice that Friday hadn’t answered you. You only looked up when something you couldn’t quite put your finger on let you know something was wrong. You looked around the lab, on alert, searching for what was wrong, when you heard it.
Or rather, you didn’t hear it. The lab was full of equipment and machines that were always on, humming and whirring, the white noise of machinery. It was silent now though, and now that you realised that you could see that all the blinking lights were off.
 “Friday?”
There was no response, and a chill ran down your spine. You pulled your phone from your pocket and frowned at the black screen. You raced towards the elevator, knowing full well what you’d find and you were right. There was no electricity in the building, or anything in the building. Something had drained all the power.
 Which meant…
“Hello Vænn.” He hissed, right behind you.
 Loki’s cell was useless.
His fingers closed around your elbow and you were forcibly slammed into the nearest wall. His green eyes glinted in the darkness and something sharp and cold pressed into the tender flesh over your thrumming pulse.
“Is that a dagger at my throat or are you happy to see me?” You laughed breathlessly, without humour.
“You bested me once, I can not let the insult pass, nor risk you doing it again.” He explained almost amicably.
He was so close you could see the flecks of gold and emerald in his eyes, and the regret as well. It almost distracted you from the sharp pain in your neck until you felt something damp drip down your skin. The dagger was so sharp it had started to slice through your skin even though he’d made no move to injure you yet. His gaze flickered down and he watched the thin rivulet of blood roll down your throat.
 “You’re hesitating.” You accused him.
“Are you so eager to die?” He threw back.
“Just wondering if that connection I felt we had was in my imagination, because after our moment on the balcony I thought we were friends. And friends don’t slit friends throats.” You told him, half joking-half imploring.
His eyes darted across your face like he was searching for something, some kind of sign about what to do. Or maybe he was just relishing in your terror and you were projecting.
“I was King. I had the throne and the power. The people adored me, even if they didn’t know it was me. I had everything and it’s lost because of you. You took everything from me and taking your pathetic life isn’t an even bargain but it is all you have, so it is what I will take in recompense.” He hissed, his eyes brimming over with darkness and hate.
“Loki, don’t. Please don’t kill me.” You whispered softly.
“For someone with so much pride, you do beg so prettily, sweet Vænn.” He whispered back, his tone hard where yours had been gentle.
There it was again, that word. What it meant was still beyond the reaches of your knowledge but it hardly seemed pertinent right now, with the tower shrouded in darkness and your blood painting your skin.
They had to know Loki would be free, The Avengers had to know. If you could just stall long enough, distract him, you could survive. You could beg some more, play up to the pathetic mortal gig, wait for someone stronger than you to come and rescue you.
“You can try as hard as you like to lay the blame with me but we both know you were never really King, you were a bastard prince playing pretend.” You snarled.
You didn’t want to die, but in the end you were still you, and you didn’t want to snivel and beg. There was no point in surviving if the price was being unable to look yourself in the mirror.
Thunderous crashing above you made you flinch, unwittingly slicing your own skin a little more. The entire tower shook and for a moment you thought an Earthquake had struck New York, but everything soon became clear.
“Loki! Stop this at once!” Thor roared, his booming voice reaching you a split second before he came crashing into the lab, the hammer swinging in his hand. When he saw you, half hidden behind Loki and blood beginning to stain your shirt, his eyes widened. Which begged the question, if he didn’t know Loki was about to kill you, what was he demanding that Loki stop?
There was one final crash as the ceiling above your head collapsed, plaster and concrete raining down on your lab in a dusty explosion. Instinctively you hid behind Loki, using him as a shield and forgetting about the dagger that he thankfully pulled away in time. When the dust cleared you realised he wasn’t even paying attention to you, his eyes fixed on the centre of the lab. Out of the corner of your eye you saw Thor raise the hammer but you couldn’t care less.
Levitating off the ground, smack in the middle of your lab, was the Tesseract. Blue light shone from it, casting a glow over everything it touched. It was… mesmerising. Utterly entranced by it you stepped forward in tandem with Loki, unaware you’d put yourself between him and Thor. Thor was yelling something but you couldn’t make it out, it was like you were underwater, separated from the world and drowning in blue light. The only thing you could clearly hear was your own heartbeat, slow and steady, calmly pulsating as you walked towards the Tesseract as the light got brighter and brighter.
And then the floor dropped out from under your feet and swirling blue light was the only thing left.

A/N - Aaaaaaand we're off.
I think it's setting itself apart from MMYM. I feel like Princess and Kitten, while both sassy af, are quite different, and this Loki is a little bit different as well. I could be wrong though, so, thoughts?
Ngl though, I am already digging the Princess/Loki dynamics.

Stubborn Independence
TITLE: Stubborn Independence
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 5/10
AUTHOR: brightsun-and-darkmidnight
ORIGINAL IMAGINE:
Imagine Loki struggling to adjust to someone who is independent and insists on paying for themselves all the time, even if it is a struggle sometimes. They need to do everything on their own. They never ask for help and refuse help. Just imagine Loki really wanting to spoil this person. Imagine how creative he would get to make life easier on this person who has captivated him.
+
Imagine being a talented singer at your local club. Loki comes in one night with Thor and the others (he’d rather be anywhere else but who turns down free drinks?) and gets ensnared in the voice of the beautiful singer on stage. Suddenly, his interest (and arousal) are more than piqued.
+
Imagine getting into a petty fight with Loki, so in retaliation, he puts everything on the top shelf where you can’t reach?
AUTHOR’S NOTES: College AU. Loki is determined to take over Odin’s company. He works hard and has a strict schedule for success. However, with the interference of Thor and the other four, Loki’s plans are often interrupted so they can play matchmaker.

 ~ ~ ENJOY  ~ ~
Loki let Sirena drive her own car while she talked excitedly about how well she was doing at Whispering Waters. Apparently the manager was considering having her perform every friday night, waitress the other times, and was going to pay her a small amount and let her keep the tips.
“How cool is that though? I mean I would be able to get my name out there.”
Loki could not stop the smile pulling his lips. “You are very gifted.”
“Thanks. It’s not… I guess it isn’t so much of getting my name known, I just like to see when people hear music. Music is proven to change or elevate moods. Its why I am in the musical therapy major.”
“When do your mock classes start?”
“Next week. Frigga stated there are some people really interested in the little class.”
Loki watched as Sirena parked in front of a grocery store.
She gave Loki a big smile. “Object of this game is to get snacks to eat in the car. Now go. Gogogog!"
Sirena hurried out of the car and Loki felt rushed to do it too.
She started laughing as the car locked and ran to the entrance.
Loki easily caught up to her then opened the door. At Sirena’s look he walked in and shut the door so she had to open it herself.
"What the hell?” She laughed as she tried to be the intimidating fireball she was.
Loki smirked, “Everyone keeps telling me to let you do stuff yourself.”
“Well yeah. But did you need to make sure the door shut?”
“It would have been considered helping.”
Sirena tapped Loki’s arm with a small smile then pulled him along towards the snack isle.
Sirena was picking granola bars and some chips. “So get anything you can easily eat in the car.”
“Where are we going to go?”
Sirena snickered. “Depends on when you have your next scheduled alarm.”
Loki grumbled, “touche.”
Loki picked out a few things but were mostly candy. After purchasing their own things they went to the car.
“With all those sweets you are going to get a cavity. Clint would yell at me all the time about what I would eat because he knows I want to loose weight and be more healthy. He watches out for me.” Sirena took a bite of her granola bar.
“He does seem a bit…” Loki hesitated for the right word.
“Intimidating? Yeah he got the whole older brother thing about him.”
Loki immediately asked, “Brother? So you two aren’t dating?”
Sirena forced a gag and muttered “ew” several times. “No we aren’t dating. We knew each other from high school. He looked out for me because I would always get myself in trouble with people. I was too nice and people took advantage of me. He would scare people away from me.”
“He was trying to scare me away then?”
Sirena shrugged her shoulders. “Clint is an ass but yeah. He is a great guy. He is just pushing your buttons to see if you are good for me to…talk to.”
Loki had to be cheeky. “Am i good company?”
Sirena teased. “I think so.”
Loki laughed at his own question. “Was this planned out?”
Sirena pouted, “Probably. Clint is good at seeing things from way outside the picture so he is good at placing things where they are supposed to be.”
Loki fiddled with a piece of candy. “Where does he want us?”
“Beside each other.”
“You are being vague.”
“Vague? Why is there more information you are searching for?” Sirena teased.
“Just wondering if there is more to this… How did you put it..? Beside each other, Like this, in this car discussing his master painting over snacks…”
“maybe this is part of his plans..” Sirena glances at Loki’s lips as she leans slightly.
Loki starts to lean in as well.
The kiss was short, sweet, and it made Loki happy to see her smile once the short kiss was over.
Loki smirked with a tilt of his head, “so do I ask you out or do you want to ask me?”
Sirena grinned, “I initiated the kiss, so I asked.”
Loki shrugged. “Fair enough. So do I get to take you out for dinner?”
Sirena seemed hesitant. “We can do our Q and A right here.”
“Do you actually have insurance on your phone?” It was the first question Loki came up with.
Sirena laughed, “that question is what you open up with?”
Loki nodded with a smirk.
She sighed before answering. “Yes I do. They won’t send me a new one because I dropped the phone. Something stupid about it not being the device that stopped working and it was my fault.. But it still works and I am not worried about it.”
“Alright. But everytime you show me pictures on your phone I really want to get you a new one so I can see your pictures better.”
“You are not the first person to complain about my phone for that reason.”
“Why not get a new phone?”
“I am worried about losing my pictures.”
Loki beamed. “I could help with that. Its very easy to do that. I move files all the time for work.”
“Maybe. Enthusiastic helper.”
Loki thought for a second. “I could teach you how to save stuff and put it all on a micro SD card or back everything up to the cloud.”
Sirena looked confused. “That was all over my head. I have no idea how electronics work. I can text, call, and set alarms.”
Loki tried not to laugh but a few chuckles escaped.
“Oh come on dont laugh at me!”
Loki couldn’t help but laugh at her pout and the embarrassment inside her voice.
“I didn’t mean to offend.”
“Whatever. So there is an intersection coming up… left, right, or straight?”
Loki asked. “Really? Okay straight.”
And that was the game for the night until they needed to get back to campus.
Loki and Sirena spent more time together and Clint seemed to be warming up to Loki more. There were still threats of bodily harm if Loki “ever hurt her and I will make sure you suffer too."
Loki genuinely promised Clint he would never hurt Sirena.
Loki found himself on a new schedule and Sirena didn’t mind much of his alarms because she saw how anxious he was without some daily structure. However she convinced him into a deal; he could pay for one meal a week, and on certain days she had control of what they would do with their free time. Loki had to admit he enjoyed new experiences -especially with Sirena because she is always pleasant to be around.
Sirena never let Loki pay for anything and if he did it was an ear full and she would go buy him something if he wouldn’t take the money.
He tried to get creative by leaving a little money where she would find it, but she gave it away.
Loki went so far as to order things online, have them shipped to her mailbox as an "accidental delivery.” Despite the company saying to keep it she would send it back or find someone else who would use it.
Then Sirena got assigned a paper to write and was stressed out about getting it done because it was on a book she just didn’t understand. She found school just as important as Loki did, so homework would carve into their time together. Loki offered his help and she actually accepted it. Loki’s skills at analytical reading were useful and Sirena would get Loki his favorite drink and snacks as thanks for each study session.
They would work on homework together; at first they were alone and then they had a study group with the rest of their friends. Loki invested in a personal laptop so he could program while others worked and it didn’t take long to make some friends in the computer programming department too. Friends such as, Tony and Bruce.
During a study group Sirena announced she would be in a few of the art classes soon.
Fandral teased, “I am sure Loki is going to love it.”
Sirena glared at Fandral. “It is very professional. There will be no suggestive atmosphere.”
A few days later, Loki was in his art class and felt a little nervous as Sirena came in. Sirena discussed with Loki alone about how the class would go and how if anyone steps out of line the teacher would handle it.
It still did nothing to comfort him once she was on the podium in the plain undergarments she once explained. Everyone was on best behavior in the class which made it easier that way, but Loki’s hands sweat so much he had to keep readjusting the drawing utensils. They were never intimate other than kisses,  hugs, and hand holding but now he saw the curves of her body and was memorizing them onto paper.
Not at all troubling.

Christmas Magic
Hey all! I decided to take a break from my Magnus series and write this Loki Christmas one-shot. I apologise for the length.
Summary: It’s Christmas, ya’ll. Can the magic of the season bring two people together?
Warnings: body shaming, but mostly fluff, and a bit of protective Loki

Beep, beep!
The sound of your alarm clock startled you from slumber. Groaning you reached to turn off the offending noise before flopping your head back on the pillow and snuggling under the blankets. Closing your eyes, you tried to fall back to sleep, but it seemed your body was done resting. You got out of bed with a sigh.
Since it was just a week before Christmas, the Avengers had been given some well deserved time off. Fury agreed to the holiday knowing just how much everyone needed to relax and recharge. The past year had been particularly hard. Yes, you were superheroes it was your job, but one can only go so long before they burn out. You were honored to be counted among the group. You couldn’t imagine your life without any of the men or women - they were your family.
Walking to your ensuite bathroom, you thought about how much your life has changed in the last decade. You hated your life - your family never loved you and you never had any friends. Everyone always teased you or pushed you around; mostly because of your size. You didn’t have the perfect body and being plus-sized was not easy. No matter how many diets you tried, nothing ever worked. When you turned sixteen your life changed forever. Your parents threw out of the house because they deemed you dangerous. Why you ask? Because you were a mutant. On the morning of your sixteenth birthday, you somehow acquired certain abilities that could be classified as magic. So because they were afraid of you and what you might be capable of, your family turned their back on you. You were on your own for two years, afraid of yourself and powers. One day though, you met Nick Fury and Tony Stark. They offered you a home and a chance to use your skills for good.
Skip forward to ten years later, you were a proud member of the Avengers. A knock brought you back to reality. Looking towards your door, you saw something slide underneath. Using your magic, the object flew through the air and into your hand. You sighed again, knowing exactly what it was. Every year Tony threw extravagant Christmas Eve parties. Not being a partier yourself, you had only attended one of these events. It had ended in tears and lots of chocolate. Many of the female agents were rude to you. Teasing you about your weight and even calling you a freak because of your magic. Needless to say I never went to another party.
Taking the invitation out of the envelope, I wondered if Loki would ever ask me. You laughed at your silly fantasies. First off, the god of Mischief was your best friend. The two of you understand each other better than anyone else could have. He was not the man everyone believed he was. Loki put on a show of being a tough, uncaring person, but behind the mask, he longed to be loved. He was gentle and caring when you got to know him, and it certainly didn’t hurt that he was gorgeous. Oh well. You would never do anything to ruin your friendship. And secondly, why would he ever return your affections? In the world’s eyes, you were not considered beautiful. No man, or god, would ever have romantic feelings towards you. You shouldn’t get your hopes up - if your own family never loved or accepted you, why would Loki?
Blinking back tears, you stood up and walked to your full-length mirror and examined yourself. Nope, definitely not worth it. You looked at the invitation one more time, quickly tearing it up and throwing it to the floor.
“What did that piece of paper ever do you, Dove?” a voice asked.
You whipped around to see Loki standing inside your room leaning against the door with a smirk on those beautiful lips of his.
“Ugh, Loki how many times have told you not to sneak up on me like that?” you huffed. “Don’t you ever knock?”
“I did, but when you didn’t answer, I was worried something had happened to you,” he explained.
You rolled your eyes. ‘Right, whatever you say. Sure you weren’t just trying to sneak a peek?”
Loki put his hand over his heart. “You wound me, Y/N. I was only worried for your safety - I am no peeping Tom.”
“When have I ever been in need of saving?” You laughed. “I can take care of myself.”
“Well, maybe someday. I hope you know that I will always be there to save you,” Loki said seriously. You noticed a look strange look pass over his face.
Suddenly you realized you were still in your nightgown. Cheeks flushing a pale pink, you used your magic to change.
“Breakfast m’ lady?” Loki asked offering you his elbow.
You nodded with a smile, threading your arm through his. You chuckle to yourself as you thought back to how you and he became friends.  It was a rocky start. He was an arrogant, egotistical maniac who looked down on everyone. He hated everything and everybody. Slowly though, you chipped away at his walls. After a while, he began to open up to you and even offered to help improve your skills. He told you about his past. Your heart broke for him and was able to identify with him to a small degree. You became each other's confidants and spent most of your free time together. And somewhere along the way, you had fallen in love with this god. And little did you know, Loki had fallen for you too.
The next week was spent having snowball fights, building snowmen, making Christmas cookies, watching movies, and party prep. Your favorite times were spent with Loki, talking and drinking hot cocoa in front of the fire. The team was really enjoying their vacation and were able to relax. Everyone was feeling the season working its magic.
As the festivities drew nearer, Nat kept trying to convince to go.
“Come on, Y/N, you really should come. Tony says there will be lots of dancing, amazing food, and fireworks.” Nat pleaded. “I heard even Loki is coming this year, and that never happens. You should come and keep an eye on your boyfriend,”  she smirked.
You rolled your eyes. “You know perfectly well that Loki is not my boyfriend. He would never think of me more than a friend,” you explained. “Now, as I have said before, I am not going. So please stop asking.”
Nat held up her hands in defeat. “Fine, have it your way.” She walked away. You shrugged turning back to the library.
It was now the day before the party, you passed Nat and Thor deep in conversation, on your way to the kitchen. Definitely up to something.
Your stomach growled so you hurried on to the kitchen. A wonderful smell invaded your senses the closer you got. A smile spread across your face when you saw Loki attending to something on the stove. You snuck up behind him and took another whiff.
“Hmm, something smells amazing! Whatcha cooking there, chef?” you asked playfully.
“I believe you Midgardians call them pancakes.” Loki chuckled.
“You went all out there, Lokes. Eggs, bacon, sausage…”
“I wasn’t sure what you’d be in the mood for - sit.” Loki nudged you towards the table. He came back with two full plates, laying yours in front of you and he sat next to you.
Taking a bite of the pancakes, you closed your eyes savoring the flavor. “Chocolate chips! Loki, you’re the best! You spoil me.” You smiled at your friend
Loki just returned your smile and tucked into his own food. His body tensed at the moan that bubbled out of you. The ancient god turned to watch you, your eyes closed and a smile on your lips. You were clearly enjoying your food. Each moan was music to his ears. He wondered if he could ever elicit such moans from you himself. Loki shifted in his seat and bit his lip as his mind continued to wander.
No, he thought. A lady such as yourself would never fall for the likes of him. He still considered himself a monster. He had changed over the years, yes, but he still never trusted himself. You were his friend and Loki wouldn’t ruin that unless he was absolutely sure how you felt.
“Loki? Did you hear anything I just said?” You asked.
Loki shook himself. Sorry darling, I didn’t.”
“You alright, you look a bit flushed. Maybe you should go see Banner?”
“Banner? No, I...need Thor...to speak with…” Loki began. He jumped out of his chair and quickly left.
Puzzled, you stood too grabbing the dishes and taking them to the sink.
“That’s definitely a first,” you said out loud.
“What is?” Nat asked entering the kitchen.
“Loki wanted to see Thor.” You laughed.
The redhead hummed in agreement. “How about some sparring?”
Later that night, after hours of tossing and turning, you decided to make some hot chocolate and read. Settling on the main living area couch you opened your book. A few minutes later you smiled.
“There you are,” you said quietly. Putting your book down you waited.
Loki rounded the corner, clad in a pair of forest green silk pajama pants and a black hoodie. You loved those pants - they were so smooth. Heaven knows where he got them. Maybe one day you’d ask him for a pair of your own. You smiled to yourself. Or just borrow his.
“You look comfy, love.” He smiled. You were wrapped in a fluffy blanket with a steaming mug in hand. “I am. Should still be some hot cocoa in the kitchen,” you told him.
He came over and sat next to you, his eyes gleaming mischievously. “I’d much rather have some of yours.
Before you had time to react, Loki snatched the mug from your hand and took a sip. He looked back at you, challenging you to stop him. You were surprised at his action and pouted. Loki chuckled softly before draining the rest of it.
“Hey” you whined. “You jerk. You owe me.”
The raven-haired god laughed. “Your wish is my command. What shall it be?”
You thought for a moment before a book appeared in your hands. Smiling you handed it to him.
“Shakespeare, eh?” You nodded. Loki rolled his eyes, though he really didn’t mind. “Alright, get comfortable.”
You scooted closer to him sliding down so your head was resting in his lap. Loki chose a sonnet and began reading. You loved his voice. It was dark, smooth, and positively sinful. You suddenly realized that Loki is playing with your hair. The combination of his voice and his fingers running through your hair had a calming effect. You close your eyes enjoying the moment. You must have fallen asleep, because when you open your eyes again, Loki has stopped reading and is watching you.
“Hi,” he smiles.
“Hi,” you whisper back.
“I have a present for you. I know it is a tradition to wait until Christmas day, but as it is officially Christmas Eve, I can’t wait any longer.” Loki says.
You sit up facing him, tucking your legs under you. Loki licks his lips expectantly waiting for an answer. He looked like a kid, well, at Christmas.
“Well, just this once,” you concede. “I have one for you too.”
Using your powers, you both summon your gifts.
“Mine first,” Loki says handing you a beautifully wrapped package.
You rip open the paper, tossing it aside. You gasped as you saw the contents of the box. Nestled inside was the most beautiful necklace and set of earrings you had ever seen. The necklace was a modest-sized emerald pendant encircled by tiny diamonds, held together by a very delicate silver chain. The earrings were smaller, simple emerald studs. You were speechless. You opened your mouth but nothing came out.
Loki took your quietness to mean that you didn’t like it. “You hate them, don’t you? I know you don’t like flashy things, but I saw them and thought they would look magnificent on you.” Disappointed was evident in his tone.
You tore your eyes from the gift. “What? No, Loki I love them! They are so beautiful, I just don’t know what to say. Thank you!” You gave him a quick hug and a chaste kiss on his cheek. You gave his hand a reassuring squeeze.
Loki’s face lit up and a huge smile replaced his frown. “Only the best for you, Dove.”
“Now open mine” you nudged, handing him a small square package.
He opened it with equal enthusiasm. “Oh my!” His face was emotionless as he stared at the contents. Inside the box was a set of cufflinks. They were snakes - intricately carved silver with one emerald eye each. Truly a masterpiece. He took one out to examine it closer. Loki squinted. Did it just...it did! The snake blinked. The god’s eyes widened and glanced at the young sorceress with shock and disbelief and then back at the cufflink.
You sighed. “I know it’s silly. If you don’t like them I can make something else. I thought they were elegant with a touch of mischief. A trick for the trickster,” you chuckled to yourself.
“You made these?” Loki asked.
“Yeah, with some help from my magic...okay a lot of help” you hesitated. “But I did design them and…”
Your friend stopped you. “They are beautiful, Y/N. I can’t believe you created these - not that you aren’t capable.” Loki suddenly looked flustered. They are amazing, love. Truly.” You blushed at his praise.
“I shall wear them tonight.” he says. Feeling nervous, the young prince looked down at the gift again. “Are you sure you won’t come to the party?”
“Um, parties aren’t really my thing,” you explain weakly, not wanting him to know the real reason.
“Not even if someone were to ask you to accompany them?” He quirked his brow, cheeks slightly pink.
“Well, I don’t think that would ever happen, so no.”
“You wouldn’t go with me, then?” Loki asked. Your eyes widened, staring at your friend like he had just sprouted another head. You couldn’t tell if he was joking or not, so you stayed quiet. Sensing your hesitation, Loki started, “You don’t have to if it would make you uncomfortable, but it would be an honor to escort you.”
“Are you being serious?” you whisper. He nods, a tender smile on his lips.
“Then, I - I would love to go with you.” You looked up at him, returning his smile. You stay like that for a few minutes.
“I guess we should go to bed. I mean our own beds, not like sharing one...not that I wouldn’t en-wow.” You cover your face with your hands trying to hide the bright red color it had turned.
He chuckles and stands up. “You’re right, it is late. Come, let me walk you to your room.” You walk back in silence. Reaching your door, you both linger. “Good night, Little One.” Loki leans down and presses a gentle kiss to your cheek.
“Night, Lokes. See you tomorrow.” You shut the door behind you and lean again the wood for a moment. Shaking yourself, you crawl into bed with a grin plastered on your face slipping into a peaceful sleep.
“Nat, Nat!” You called your friend. Nothing. For an assassin she sure sleeps heavily, you think. Fine.
Agent Romanoff! Get your butt out of bed now!” you bellowed, backing up knowing what was coming.
Nat jumped out of bed ready to attack. Looking around for danger and only seeing you, she slumped her shoulders. “What do you want? Too early,” she yawned turning towards her bed again.
“Oh no you don’t,” you said grabbing her wrist. It is 10:30, so we have just enough time to do some shopping and then get ready for the party.” You smiled at Nat’s confusion.
Rolling your eyes you headed back to the door. “Elevator, thirty minutes.”
So, what made ‘miss-I-hate-parties change her mind’?” Nat sassed. “A certain prince ask you to go?”
You nodded, blushing slightly as you continued flipping through dresses on the rack. “As friends of course.”
“Oh please, girl! Did he actually say that?”
“No, but I am trying to not get my hopes up just to be stomped to death because Loki doesn’t think of me as more than a friend.” Nat sighed. “And don’t give me the ‘love is worth the risk’ speech, you have no room to talk lady.” You both laughed.
“Oh, we will definitely find you a dress that will knock his socks off,” Nat said as she handed you some dresses. “Now go.”
After countless stores and dresses, you had only one more to try on. You stood in front of the mirror taking in the view. The dress was black with a dark green, lace overlay covered in tiny flecks of gold. It had a modest neckline and came down right to the top of your knees. Perfect! Stepping out of the dressing room, you cleared your throat. “What do you think?”
Nat was shocked. “Wow, Y/N. You look stunning! I love it. And I think certain Norse god will too. Alright, missy. Go get dressed and we should have time to get something to eat before we head back to the tower.”
The two of you chatted happily all through lunch. You glanced at your watch and noticed the time. “Crap,” you muttered. “We’re going to be late. Let’s go!”
Nat helped you with your hair while you did your makeup. You wanted to use magic to finish getting ready, but Nat convinced you not to. Part of the experience she claimed. Halfway through you texted Loki that you would be late and would meet him there.
After hair and makeup, you put your dress on and stood in front of the mirror examining yourself. Your hair was half up with curls cascading over your shoulders, your makeup was light and natural-looking. Loki’s gifts completed the look.
“You look beautiful, Y/N. Let’s get this party started!” Nat exclaimed.
“I couldn’t have done it without you, Nat. Thanks for everything you’ve done,” you smiled at your friend. You two made your way to the party.
“I enjoyed spending the day with you too.”
“That’s not quite what I meant,” you replied. Nat quirked her brow. “I know what you and Thor did.”
The assassin just smiled at you. The doors of the elevator opened up, having arrived at its destination.
“Come on, your prince awaits,” Nat pushed you forward a little. You giggled.
Standing just inside the door, you surveyed the room. The party was definitely in full swing, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. You smiled briefly looking for your date. You found him on the other side of the room talking with a few people. Thor noticed you first, a huge smile spread across his face. He nudged Loki who was standing next to him. Loki followed the direction Thor was looking. Ever the subtle one, Thor pushed his brother forward and laughed. Loki met your gaze and froze. He was utterly shocked. He slowly walked towards and you suddenly felt nervous and queasy under his intense stare.
“Y/N, y - you look amazing.” Loki stuttered.
“You like it then?” you asked shyly.
“Love it, darling,” he replied, his voice an octave lower now. I want everyone to see how lucky I am. May I have this dance?” He offered you his hand and led you out onto the dance floor.
A slow dance started playing, and Loki pulled you close to his body. His hands rested on your hips forcing your arms to encircle his neck. The prince smiled down at you and you returned it. You let yourself relax against his lean, but slightly muscular frame; loving the feeling of being in his arms. You knew your relationship would not be the same after tonight, something had changed - but maybe for the better?
“My colors suit you, Dove” he whispered in your ear causing a shiver to run up your spine.
“I do, don’t I?” you teased. “Maybe I’ll wear them more often.” You pulled back just enough to look up at Loki seeing another tender smile gracing his lips. You quickly melted back into his embrace, resting your head in the crook of his neck.
After two more songs, you took a break. Loki went to get some drinks while you took another moment to admire the young prince. He wore his usual stunning black suit, but switched his matching black shirt for a forest green button-up, paired with a red tie. He truly looked like a god. Loki noticed you staring and winked. His expression became one of boredom as a guest stopped to talk to him. You giggled and turned your attention back to the party. You saw a group of female agents talking close by, and you decided to eavesdrop.
“Ha, she thinks that a new dress and hairdo can improve her looks...she is sadly mistaken,” one agent said. The rest laughed.
Another agent noticed that you were listening. “She looks like a stuffed cabbage in that color. You can’t honestly think that Loki is taken by you do you, Y/N?” she asked. The other ladies turned to look at you. Smirks and eye roles were exchanged.
You blinked back tears. Don’t let them win. “We’re just friends,” you explained.
“Please, we all see the way you look at him; like a lost puppy waiting for her master to notice her,” a third agent piped up. “Like a god would take notice of a cow like you. Loki is just leading you on. You are just his tool tonight.” The ladies all cackled.
You knew the dam was about to break, but you couldn’t let them see you cry. You hurried out of the room as quickly as possible.
“Y/N, you okay? What happened? Steve stopped you, taking in your appearance.
“I’m fine, Steve. ‘Scuse me” you mumbled pushing past him.
Loki was finally able to extricate himself from his conversation and made his way back to you. He noticed you talking to a small group of women and smiled. A frown soon replaced it after seeing you run out of the room. He called after you, but you didn’t hear him. The prince turned toward the women who looked quite satisfied with themselves.
“What did you do to Y/N?” he asked. Anger bubbling to the surface.
The female agents all feigned innocence. “Nothing, Loki. She’s just being a baby.” one said shrugging.
Loki glared at them all. “What. Did. You. Say?” he spat out. The group coward back. “Really, nothing? You said nothing - Y/N just ran away? Speak before I do something I might regret.” he bellowed.
“Um, w-we told her that someone like you would never fall for a girl like her.” another offered.
Loki raised his eyebrows, a deadly look on his face. A girl like her? She is ten times...no a hundred times better than any of you. How dare you speak to her like that. Y/N is the glue that holds this team together. You have the audacity to judge her by her size? You are nothing but a bunch of mewling quim - you need to be taught a lesson or better yet, fired!” he yelled.
By now the room was silent, everyone watching the scene unfold. The rest of the Avengers were up front closest to the commotion, ready to defend Loki. They were proud of him for standing up for Y/N.
“If any of you ever tease her again, I will personally make your lives hell” Loki continued. “She is an amazing woman and I - I lov…” his eyes widen. “Where did she go?”
“That way.” Steve points in the direction you ran.
You found yourself in a small hallway you never knew existed. Sitting on a bench tucked into an alcove, you were alone and sobbing your heart out. You knew you shouldn’t believe what the women said about Loki. He was your friend after all, but it still hurt. You were so tired of the teasing and awful treatment. Tonight had given you hope that Loki might feel something more for you, but you knew that no one would love you because of your size. So lost in your own self-pity you barely registered someone calling your name. You didn’t respond, you didn’t want to talk to anyone.
“Y/N! Love, can you hear me?”
Coming back to reality, you saw Loki standing right in front of you. You knew you were a mess, you covered your face. Your friend sits down beside you and pulls you flush against him. You grab onto him and start sobbing again. Loki squeezes you tighter and rubs your back soothingly.
“I’m sorry Loki” you sniff. He handed you a hanky. “I let them get to me, I shouldn’t have, but I did…” You drop gaze and fiddle with his tie.
“No, love. I’m sorry. They should never have said those things to you. They are just a bunch of catty women. They are jealous of you” Loki explains.
You snort in disbelief. Loki lifts your chin with one of his long fingers. “It’s true” he continues. “It has been my experience that when people feel threatened or jealous of someone, they lash out at them.” He smiles at you.
Wiping away stray tears his hand lingers to caress your cheek. You close your eyes and lean into his touch.
The young prince takes a deep breath, “Y/N...I..” he pauses.
You open your eyes and look at Loki. “What is it? You can tell me, love” you prod.
“Iloveyou” he gushes.
“I’m sorry what?”
‘I love you, Y/N. Loki falters trying to gauge your reaction.
“Awe, I love you too, Lokes.” you chuckle.
“No, I love love you. More than just as a friend. I have fallen in love with you, Y/N.”
“But you can’t, it’s impossible!” You exclaim. I mean look at me. I’m not the woman you deserve, Loki.”
“To me, you are perfect, Y/N. You are the most amazing woman I have ever met. You are strong, brave, kind, loving, caring, and excuse my language, a bloody genius. You always think about other people and their needs before your own. You have taught me to not judge what people look like on the outside, that it is what’s on the inside that matters.
Tears were flowing down your cheeks again. “But…” you began.
Loki pressed a finger to your lips, “I wasn’t finished. You have curves, so what? I like a woman who is curvy. It just means that there is more of you for me to love” he winked.
“Oh Loki, no one has ever talked to me like that before. I want to believe that I am not completely ugly, but that’s all I’ve been told growing up.”
“Then let me show you how beautiful you are and how much I adore you.” Loki put his arms around you and pulled you close again.
You could feel his warm breath on your face. Your lips just inches apart, breathing heavy. Your gaze drifted up briefly before a laugh bubbled out. Loki followed your gaze and saw a ball of mistletoe appearing above.
“It seems someone is hoping for a Christmas kiss, eh?” You joked looking back at Loki.
He was staring at you - the love you saw reflected in his eyes made your heart skip a beat. He slowly leaned in and brushed his lips against yours, pulling away for a second only to reattach to your mouth again.
The kiss felt like heaven. It was sweet, gentle, and a tad salty. You snaked your hands up his neck to deepen the kiss. It became passionate - Loki wasn’t holding back anymore. Neither of you were. He nibbled your bottom lip causing you to gasp. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Loki snuck his tongue in your mouth to taste more of you. The feeling was intoxicating, neither of you wanted to stop. You finally broke the kiss, oxygen becoming necessary. He pressed his forehead to yours as you both tried to catch your breath.
“Th-that was all I wanted for Christmas,” Loki whispered. You two smiled at each other, basking in the warmth of the moment.
“I love you too,  you finally confessed. “I have for a very long time.” Loki pecked your lips again.
“Happy Christmas, my dove.”
“Merry Christmas, my prince.”

His touch was electric - soft yet firm, gentle and strong...the way he ran the tip of his nose along her pulse point, his warm breath and smiling mouth trailing goosebumps along her skin. If she had any resistance left in her, that touch dissipated all of it. She turned her face to his, eyes half-closed. It was almost trancelike, his gorgeous features taking up her entire field of vision.
“Oh, Dave,” she said softly, then she leaned in and kissed him. His stubble was scratchy but wonderful, and she tasted the whiskey on his tongue. She heard herself moan just a little bit at how good he felt.  Red flags be damned, this was happening.
Norns, he couldn't get enough of her. His mouth all but devoured her as he intensified the kiss, pulling her to him so quickly that she landed on his lap.
He groaned as she straddled him, connecting her centre to his bulging crotch.
She was so damn warm!
His head nearly spun with arousal.
Just as his mind reminded him that he was basically ruining her, his hands reached up and cupped her luscious breasts, his mouth still possessing hers... still tasting her...
Gemma’s thighs squeezed Dave over his lap, feeling that bulge achingly straining against her. His hands were everywhere, his mouth captured hers, she was letting instinct take over as he moved with her. It felt like he was experienced, but perhaps...out of practice?
Not that she could judge...her last fling was a Tinder date almost a year ago, before she gave up on dating entirely.
“Um...I’m on the pill...” she muttered against his mouth, instantly feeling the awkward flush redden her cheeks. “So...that’s covered. Are you clean, have you been—“
The smirk he gave her quelled any other doubts she had, and he laid her down on the couch, caging her body, still running his fingers over her breasts and smiling every time she moaned or squeaked or giggled.
She watched him with wide, innocent eyes. Truth be told, she was a bit frightened, and she hoped he wouldn’t make her regret going forward with this...
Loki gazed down at her with pure want lacing all his senses. She was just so... adorable, with those doe eyes staring up at him in quiet apprehension.
It made his cock twitch with unbridled need.
"Oh Gemma," he murmured as he slipped his hands under her silly gym shirt. "You're such a sweet girl."
She squirmed under him as he rocked his arousal against her, feeling the contours of her body, splaying his hands against her breasts once again.
His lust was so intense that her bra offended him.
Quickly, he pulled his hands out and divested her of her shirt and bra, staring at her exposed flesh like a hungered beast.
Norns, it had been so damn long...
He dove straight for her bosom, lips latching onto her nipple. Not to ignore her other breast, his hand reached up to cup and squeeze it, brushing his thumb against her taut little peak.
This was Valhalla...
An ecstatic moan escaped her as he started kissing and sucking on her breasts like he was starving for them. She’d never been touched with such enthusiasm before! Were all British guys like this?! Suddenly, she wondered about visiting London someday...
That train of thought got derailed the second his fingers found their way under her skirt and inside her panties. Oh GOD she was embarrassingly wet, and everything was moving so fast. It was thrilling. It was terrifying. It felt so good.
“Oh, fuck... DAVE...” she groaned as the pleasure began to coil inside her. She rode it out white-knuckled as he toyed with her clit, and she pushed herself against him.
Now if only he would pull her hair and—
Stop it, she told herself, then she squealed as he gave her an especially good combination of a nipple suck and clit flick. Damn...he knew how to read her body like a book...
Loki froze for a moment when he heard the name ‘Dave’ upon her lips instead of ‘ Loki’.
Damn it all to Helheim!
He'd have to just... ignore it somehow. There was no way around it, no way to make her call his name without blowing his cover completely.
"Yes, my sweet girl," he said gruffly as his fingers became acquainted with her pussy, loving the hot clench of her channel when he spoke. "I want you to come on my fingers. Now.”
His eyes locked with hers as he curved his fingers upwards, touching that sweet, cushy spot inside that he knew would drive her towards her orgasm. His thumb brushed her clit in tandem, loving how her eyes lost their focus as her pussy began to flutter.
She didn’t even have a choice in the matter.
Between his voice and his fingers and his body and his face and those eyes and this penthouse and his car and..... everything that had led up to this moment throughout the day came to a head when he commanded her to come.
The orgasm hit her before she even knew what was happening. Everything snapped and released, and she shook with the waves of intense pleasure that Dave drew from her. She was almost crying; it felt so good!
Don’t start crying! He’ll stop if you cry!
So she screamed instead.
And as the pleasure tapered off into a blissful orgasmic afterglow...she realized he was unzipping her skirt. Her underwear was gone - no idea when that happened - but they were certainly not done yet.
He bent over and kissed her again, softer, happily. Then with one last quick, salacious look, he picked her naked body up and started carrying her to what she assumed was the bedroom.
It was a long walk. They kissed the whole way.
Loki placed her gently onto his bed, pulling the duvet aside as he did so. For a moment, he just admired her as she lay there, spread out on the soft cotton sheets like a gift from the Norns...
A blush slowly worked its way up her breasts, neck and face, making him want to chase it with his tongue.
He took his clothes off as he stared at her, never breaking the eye contact. He knew that she admired his body. Well, at least that he kept in its original form.
Once fully naked, he climbed into the bed and on top of her, pushing her legs apart with his thighs.
"I've not been with anyone for years," he stated truthfully as his tip breached her. "I kept myself isolated. But you... I can't resist."
With that he thrust inside her slowly, closing his eyes and letting out a shuddering breath. She was like a blazing hot furnace, and his cock was very happy to be inside her.
Her eyes rolled back as he entered her, even as her brain struggled to comprehend how Dave - the sexiest, richest, most beautiful man she’d ever laid eyes on - hadn’t been with anyone for years.
And he couldn’t resist her??? The world had gone crazy. Everything was upside down and sideways. And the only thing she could do was moan and indulge in the feeling of his cock inside her and his body on top of her, panting and grasping at the sheets.
She might be dreaming. She really hoped she didn’t wake up anytime soon.
“Oh, Dave...Dave, you’re amazing. Oh fuck. OH GOD, DAVE!” She clawed at his back and unthinkingly wrapped her legs around his waist, allowing him to thrust deeper.
He moved inside her with a slow, languorous rhythm, savouring every moment like a delicacy he had been denied for centuries.
He was a thirsty, thirsty man and she was his pure, soothing water...
Her moans of pleasure were music to his ears, and even though she took the name of his persona in her passion, he enjoyed it immensely.
"Gemma," he sighed into her neck as he kept thrusting, finding himself hooked on her alluring scent of citrus and flowers, "my sweet Gemma... yes, open up, take me deeper... good girl."
His words of encouragement seemed to drive her into a lustful frenzy, and so he used them more generously, making her moan louder and louder with each passing minute.
"Are you going to come for me again, baby girl? Are you close? I feel your pussy grasping my cock like vice, damn.. you're so tight."
He was loving this so much, the way she was responding to him. Norns, he was sure that she would let him do pretty much anything to her; she was that pliable .
Now that was a train of thought he most certainly knew he shouldn't get on, but he just couldn't help himself.
Norns... how he could train her to be his perfect, sweet little pet...
Loki, no...
Damn it...
He felt himself throb immediately, almost ready to come himself.
“Uhhhh-huuuhhh” was all she could manage to say. She was lost - completely and utterly lost - and the only things that registered in her sex-soaked brain were that place where he invaded her and the swirling sensations of pleasure that overwhelmed her.
She screamed his name as she chased her peak; she felt his pace quicken, his voice deep and rumbling, his muscles flexing between her legs...
Then she felt him release inside her, and the warm liquid pushed her into the strongest orgasm of her life. Her entire body went rigid, she couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think, couldn’t do anything except be in the moment and experience the insanely powerful pleasure that shot through her body. It felt almost inhuman...
Loki kissed her soft lips as she caught her breath, her pussy still throbbing around him rhythmically, milking his cock of every drop of his essence.
"You're so beautiful..." he sighed against her lips, nipping at them lightly. "Even more so when you come."
He felt so light in this moment, still joined with her, basking in the afterglow. Really, why hadn't he taken her before this day?
Well, he knew why, but he still rued the fact that he could've had her much earlier than today.
His body felt so good - so warm and comfortable as she swam in sexy afterglow. She knew she was going to fall asleep soon...or wake up from this dream soon. Whatever happened, it was coming to an end.
She felt a sad gratitude as she looked up at the most unlikely and wonderful lover she’d ever had...a gorgeous specimen that called her beautiful.
She’d look back on this moment and try to process it later.
He wrapped his arm around her waist and spooned her, still nuzzling her neck and giving her soft kisses as she drifted off.
She hoped - really hoped - she’d remember this dream when she woke up. And hopefully she could still look Dave in the eye the next day at work. ________________________________________________________________
