Reader: Listen, I'm sure you're both really nice men, but I'm not interes- Ahhh!

The next thing you know your tossed over Wukong's shoulder. He doesn't care about your kicking and screaming as he carries you away.

Reader: Let me go!

Warlord Macaque: he'll let you go once we get home, love. Until then you should stop screaming it might attract... attention~ And not from those humans you value so much.

You felt a shiver down your spine at the threat. No the warning of the other demons that inhabited the forest that you were entering. They were courtnapping you and there was nothing you could do about it!

(I am having trouble drawing LMK Wukong tbh)

I imagine they met through MK. Particularly meeting through MK causing wreckage and falling through the roof of Suklha meeting her Client. In this case, Suklha isn't Wukong's lawyer and he has no idea who she is.

In a very cartoonish way, Wukong got attracted at first sight. Curious and threatened. The thought of another immortal chasing after MK, his prodigy just to talk about property damage? Thats hilarious! MK was just trying to save the city! This is injustice-!

Okay, maybe he can give her the benefit of the doubt. He hasn't been teaching MK properly. He'll admit, he's not the best teacher to have. He's probably lucky to have MK as his student who's so naive and patient. Naive enough for Wukong to ask who the lady that caught him during their sparring, get his ear talked out about an immortal Lawyer amongst celebrities known as the best of the best. I mean, what kind of monkey king doesn't have her as a lawyer? She's supposed to be the best! He should fire his current one. Yeah that makes sense, its definitely not because so he can get closer to Suklha. Nah, thats too egotistical! Hes a renowned sage! He should know better!

Yet even as he FINALLY joined those "VIP party" hosted by someone he doesn't care enough about, just so multiple well known artists and celebrities can gather and talk nonsense while drinking alcohol. His eyes kept looking around for a blue toned lady, usually his own Lawyer attend these events, something about finding relations and connections.

Eh, he lives in the mountains. His novel is worldwide, he doesn't need those stupid stuff.

He's lucky enough to see his namecard being put beside the person of interest, holding a glass of fine wine. Wearing a new and expensive black outfit, yet similar enough to her usual look.

"Oh? I was expecting your lawyer... is he not coming?"

Hearing her talk about him so fondly made his eyes twitch, blood red sclera affecting his vision. The room is closing in, he can sense everything in it. The chitter chatter, clinking of expensive glass, the pouring of alcohol, and the way Suklha's heavy earrings seemed to shine. Maybe firing the prick wasn't enough, maybe he should've done something more... adequate

All he can do is bite his bottom lip till blood draws out, all this time, such treasure was hiding under his nose. Spending time with his uptight and annoying Lawyer, who does nothing but berates him on not checking his emails and being "unprofessional". His ugly, old-schooled lawyer, got a chance to introduce himself to her?? How...foul

Hii I hope I’m not being annoying with my asks (same person who asked you about your favourite yanderes) but I cant help myself— I really like your perspective on them! I specially love reading your Wriothesley ones (as a big fan of Wriothesley myself, in fact I got to know of your blog through the things you wrote about him). Reading your reply to my ask, I had a few questions:

- Why do you think Zhongli and Neuvillette would become so helplessly infatuated? And another question for them, what do you think they’d do with a human lover? Specially Zhongli. I personally feel like he’d become a yandere because of how long he’s lived. He’s lost all his friends and is extremely reminiscent about the past and all that he’s lost due to the archon war and whatnot. He never felt as if his friends were truly his, as in, they’d all slipped from his fingers, and he couldn’t save them. So, if he were to have a human/mortal reader who was bound to die one day, what would he do? Same for Neuvillete, although I feel as if he doesn’t truly understand the pain of being the sole survivor of age as much as Zhongli does.

- Do you think Zhongli would ever harm/kill his lover? I mean, it is very likely that he is the one who killed Guizhong based off the various evidences we find hidden in textbooks (for context, I am not implying they were lovers, but merely stating this because they truly were inseparable even as friends) and I can’t help but wonder— would he do the same to his lover? He didn’t hesitate to kill her, his closest friend, so what if a situation were to arise where he would have to harm them? What if they go mad from abyssal corruption? Or what if they’re on the brink of death? would he want none to claim their life except him?

- Of course I have to include Wriothesley. I have many questions about him. He is such a mystery after all. But I want to start by saying how I agree on the reasoning behind his infatuation. He has been isolated from love all his life. His heart has never felt it, until now. So why would he let us go? But I do wonder.. what type of lover would he be? I know you’ve written before on what type of yandere he would be, but— well, a personal HC of mine is that he absoluely hates having to resort to such methods and would not have done so if not forced to. (For example, I believe he would’ve tried to court us in a normal way rather than using extreme measures FIRST unless something happens that makes him feel as if we are slipping away from him, like us moving to another nation or rejecting him) and based on that I’d like to believe that he would try to swallow his guilt and ‘make things right’. He’d try to be the best partner for us, I’m sure of that. So when he’s trying to be a partner instead of a captor, what kind of person do you think he’d be?

Ohh I had many questions but I’m short on time and can’t really type out the rest so I’ll stick to these for now. Again, if they are too much, you can just ignore them. Thank you!

Why do you think Zhongli and Neuvillette would become so helplessly infatuated?

I've sort of envisioned Zhongli and Neuvillette as two sides to the same coin as yanderes: they're both dragons, they're both god-like beings, they're both wise, and they're both well-respected. I think something that acts as a catalyst to their love is their draconic instincts and the desire to hoard treasures. I also can see there being a protective side to their feelings. I definitely agree with your point that Zhongli would develop yandere tendencies because he lived through the Archon War and likely saw death on a near-daily basis, and Neuvillette works as a judge and sees the worst of humanity. I will say I think Zhongli would be more inclined to act on his desires compared to Neuvillette because Neuvillette has a very strong moral compass due to his position as the Iudex of Fontaine, and I think he really struggles compared to Zhongli to act on his urges. With a human reader, I think because both of them understand how ephemeral your life is, they're very cautious. I do think that Zhongli acts with much more urgency compared to Neuvillette, be it by isolating his beloved, or even taking them away from Teyvat entirely and keeping them in an adeptal domain. Comparatively, Neuvillette I feel would be more likely to give you more leeway and allow you to go out in public, with supervision, of course. I would say they also use their powers to extend your lifespan, but I'm not very familiar with Genshin lore so I don't know exactly how that would work.

Do you think Zhongli would ever harm/kill his lover?

This is a challenging question for me to answer in multiple ways, primarily because I don't particularly enjoy writing yanderes that hurt their lovers. I think that present-day Zhongli wouldn't hurt his lover unless, like you stated in your ask, it would be out of mercy. I find this question to be really fascinating when looking at Zhongli in the past, when he took the name of Morax or Rex Lapis. A personal interpretation of mine is that Morax as a yandere would be incredibly aggressive in how he would act on his feelings. With present-day Zhongli, I would imagine he would attempt to convince his lover to submit to his control; with Morax, I think he would simply rely on using his power to bend his lover to his will. Should they break, he'd simply mold the fragments of his lover's soul to fit the form he desired. Rex Lapis would fit somewhere between these two, not as forceful as Morax but not as refined as Zhongli.

What type of lover would Wriothesley be?

I think he'd be incredibly doting, regardless of if we're looking at him in a yandere AU or canonically. If you're staying in Meropide to be with him, I think he recognizes how much you're sacrificing to be with him, and he does his best to return the favor by doing whatever you ask, within reason, of course. You want tea imported from Inazuma? He'll get shipments of seven different varieties. You want traditional folk songs from Mondstadt on vinyl? He'll hire somebody to record a bard singing. You play piano and need somewhere to practice? He'll put in an order for the finest grand piano in all of Teyvat, and have movers put it in his office. When he's working, he likes it when you come and sit on his lap and just talk to him, as it provides a respite from the bureaucratic drudgery he deals with on the daily. If he has to handle a situation between inmates, best believe he comes home ready to hold you tight against his chest for at least an hour. Even canonically, I think he'd prefer you don't wander around the prison alone and would instead ask you to stay in his personal quarters or his office. Beyond just seeing him as being a little clingy outside of a yandere AU, I think he'd worry that, as the lover of the Duke of Meropide, the inmates might try to use you as a bargaining chip to barter for their freedom. Because of this, he tries to make staying in as enticing as possible by spoiling you with whatever you wish for.

As a yandere, I think this protective instinct wins out against any argument you might try to pose to gain your freedom. Even if you aren't his lover yet, rumors spread dangerously quick in Meropide, and he can't hide how he watches over you as you go about your day. I also definitely believe if he has to, he's willing to do more...unsavory things to ensure your safety, so long as you don't learn about them. Meropide is outside of Fontaine's jurisdiction, after all. With you safe and sound, it's not like you'll be hearing about anyone going missing anyways.

Forgiveness. A beautiful thing...

Story: Eternal Au

Ships: Shadow Peach

The air around them shimmered, and for a heartbeat, a flicker of light danced between their souls, pulsing with fierce recognition. Macaque's instincts wrestled within him.

The look in Wukong's eyes—a cocktail of guilt and yearning—brought memories flooding back. Memories of laughter shared under the stars, heated arguments turned into playful banter, and soft touches that felt like home. Each recollection twisted his insides until he felt as if he might shatter, caught between two worlds he could never fully inhabit.

"Moon," Wukong pleaded, his hands held out in the air, knowing he couldn’t touch, but so desperately wanting to. “You’re really here, right?” A vulnerability Macaque had never seen before—a raw ache that mirrored his own wounds.

A twisted sense of loyalty forced itself upon Macaque once again, despite his better judgment. Years of enduring Wukong's endless apologies and empty promises- a cycle that had woven itself into his very being. Each time, Wukong's actions grew more destructive until they ultimately resulted in Macaque's untimely demise. But even in death, Macaque's heart couldn't fully release the grasp of forgiveness on his treacherous Mate. His everything. To deny forgiveness was to deny Wukong. He didn't want to deny his Sun....

The shadows could not exist without the light.

Macaque's breath, or what felt like breathing in this half-life, hitched in his throat. The darkness that clung to him shimmered, almost invitingly, yet he remained tethered by that unbreakable bond. For a moment, he fought against the encroaching urge to rush into Wukong’s embrace, to bask in the warmth he'd lost.

His instincts screamed at him: "Run!" But here was Wukong—with open arms and a quivering lower lip—and Macaque felt himself weak to it. Always so weak. Always so desperate for Wukong. For Wukong to be desperate for him. To want him- fight for him- choose him!

Even with his anger and fear, his adoration and love just wanted to keep the man in his life. whether that be through clawing to keep Wukong close or offering forgiveness at the cost of himself.

With a trembling resolve, Macaque took a cautious step forward, the chasm of his existence shrinking between them. “I’m here, Wukong,” he confirmed.

Wukong's eyes widened, shimmering gold pools glistening with unshed tears, every flicker of emotion radiating the sheer force of his longing. He smiled in relieved joy when Macaque acknowledged him. That smile was an undoing. He seemed to sense that Macaque was not approaching him with anger.

His Moon was willing to forgive. That got him eager, stepping closer with a weak exhale and airy sound of joy. "Moon," he cooed in delight. It cracked something deep within Macaque, a fissure that widened as he took another step, despite the sharp bite of his past clawing at him like a pack of wolves.

"Don't," Macaque's voice trembled, fragile like glass yet full of unyielding force. "Don't smile like that, Wukong. You don’t get to smile after- don’t look at me like that…." Each word sliced through the tension like a blade, carrying hurt and betrayal.

Wukong's ears flattened, understanding he was moving too quickly. Smart enough to backtrack just a tad, yet still close enough to keep Macaque in his sights, “I-I know. I’m so sorry…” His hand quivered midair, reaching towards the ephemeral outline of his mate. It was an invitation wrapped in desperation- pleading for him to go easy on him. To forgive and forget. To stay with him.

Sometimes Macaque wondered if Wukong was even aware of what he was doing. If he maliciously knew what kind of power he had over the Moon, or if this was just a habit he too had unknowingly learned. That Macaque had allowed blind forgiveness for so long, that Wukong thought it natural. It was just their way. An expectation. Not an ill one, but just how things were between them.

Still- Wukong seemed earnest and desperate, so that was a change. A little one. Like a siren's call drawing him back to a place he thought he had escaped.

Wukong took another tentative step forward, unwavering in his hope yet visibly trembling at Macaque’s words. “Tell me! Tell me what I need to do to make it right.” His urgency dripped from every syllable. “I’ll never let you go again. I’ll never hurt you again…!” how often had Macaque heard such apologies? How often had the situation been swept away by handsome smiles and seemingly heartfelt assurances that were never planned out?

Bold promises. Empty promises. What could Wukong do to him now that he was a spirit? Of course, he could never physically hurt him again…

And yet foolishly, Macaque still believed such honeyed lies. A shadow who bent over backward just for praise of the Sun.

What could Macaque even ask right now with his body like this??

“I-I don’t-” he shakes his head, “Wukong look at me,” he gestured to himself, broken and upset. “I’m not even here. I’m intended to be dragged down into the Diyu.” he covered his eyes, shaking. "My soul is meant to be punished...."

Wukong's eyes ignite with a fiery rage, his body coiled like a spring ready to strike. He hisses through gritted teeth, each word dripping with venom, "The Diyu?!" The mere mention of the underworld, the Ten Kings, sent a shiver down his spine. How dare they even consider approaching his mate! Touching him with their vile hands! Taking what was his!? "Have they approached you?!" His voice echoes with a primal ferocity that sends shivers down even the bravest of spines.

Macaque's body tenses, his wide eyes darting around frantically as he stammers out a response. "I..." At that moment, he considers spilling the truth to Wukong. The existence of that invisible golden thread that binds them together, never allowing them to stray too far from each other. A curse and a blessing all at once. Yet, he paused. Should he tell Wukong that?

Should he reveal they were soul mates?

is your Successor au inspired by @kyri45 's Bio Dads au? when I read it I noticed some similarities. BTW no hate if it is! it's completely fine if it's inspired!

Ehh... no and yes..

No because: me and a lot of older fans were already thinking for a while that Mk had a lot of similarities to Wukong and Macaque. Mk being shadowpeach's kid has been a head-canon since WAY before the Bio Dads au was even a thing. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love kyri's au, but let's be real here, they're definitely not the first person to create that head-canon, and they probably know that too.

Yes because: I did already head-canon the "Mk being their kid" before reading kyri's comic, HOWEVER, it was indeed their comic that inspired that part of my Successor AU. ('That part' being that they're his biological parents in my AU as well.) But for the most part, my AU is very much different from kyri's.

Cuz I mean, like you said, "the only similarity is the fact that in both the aus, Wukong and Macaque are somehow Mk's biological parents." Well.. that and the spicynoodles aspect.

But like, if I were to do a Venn-diagram of the similarities and differences between the Bio Dads AU and my Successor AU, the similarities would literally just be:

And then the differences would be too much to count. I mean, for starters, they don't even take place in the same timeline. Kyri's takes place in the modern time while mine takes place in ancient times. But the plots overall are just completely different lol.

I mean truthfully, my AU is a lot more inspired by the Yandere Wukong AU by @lopsushi . A lot more similar than the Bio Dads one but still very different. I saw their AU and thought "Hey, I like shadowpeach, I also like possessive Wukong. But I also really enjoy the DarkHorse duo.. Hmm what do to.. Oh I know! I'll combine all the head-canons I like into my own AU!"

(And yes, I will admit that the wrist circlets in my Successor AU were a bit inspired by the neck circlet that Macaque wears in the Yandere AU.)

ANYWAY!! Sorry for the rambling and the long answer! I've actually had some paranoia that people would think I copied other AU's so I'm glad I get to air this out finally. Just remember people, being inspired by something is NOT the same as copying.

You wouldn't look at The Owl House and say "hey! You copied Harry Potter!" now would you? No, of course not. You would say "Hey, I can tell this is inspired by Harry Potter."

Yandere Ao Lie:

Ao Lie first saw you when his younger ancestor Mei introduced him to her friends, and you were one of them. 

He felt twists and flutters in his chest when his eyes laid upon yours, he had never felt these feelings but they were intoxicating and addicting.

He needed more.

It started off innocently enough, staring at you when you were in the area and blushing whenever you got at arm's length from him.

He then started to realize he was feeling these things because he was falling in love, ‘Strange…’ he thought. ‘I thought only mortals felt love…’

He would cover his face with his sleeves as he softly laughed from how nervous he was to be so close to you, they shyness would go away once he got to know you better.

By “getting to know you better”, it’s actually just him stalking you. 

Watching you through your window while you sleep, following you whenever you go out in public, etc.

He doesn’t see anything wrong with it, “I’m just taking notes for our future anyways”.

Definitely a personality manipulator.

What I mean by this is he knowingly uses his lazy and tired personality to manipulate you by subverting expectations and getting what he wants.

“How could I have been watching you sleep last night, I never miss a good night’s rest. You know that silly…”

When it comes to other people around you, will manipulate you to be with him at all times.

“I don’t think I like that person very much, they don’t really deserve to be around you. They’re kind of weird, don’t you think hehe…”

If the person persists, will scare them off with his dragon form.

Doesn’t like killing people often, too messy, and it takes forever to clean up but eventually will do it if the person crosses the line with you.

If they get caught killing someone by you, will keep manipulating the situation into getting you to admit they deserved it and how he loves you oh so much.

“Don’t worry sunshine, they deserved it by the way they look at you. I’m the only one who’s allowed to look at you like that right?”

He picks from his fur a few strands and blows on them, transforming them into the sleep bugs he's used so often in his Westward journey. Before you can jerk back, he's got you by the throat and has dropped them upon you. "Take a little nap? Then when you wake up, you'll feel better! I'm feelin' like goin' out for dinner, we can talk then!" As the world begins to fade and your eyes begin to close you hear his laugh before he says, "Sweet dreams."

OK, so what was the warlords reaction the first time reader had her monthly cycle around them? like seriously that is basically like a curse on all human females and I can’t help but wonder how they reacted when she first started her monthly cycle around them and what was the first thing that they noticed? Her discomfort towards the cramps or the smell of blood? 

So in Cursed Warlords the duo are cursed for around three months before Reader is sent back to her world. (Which they DID NOT agree to!) So they see her experience her period when they’re still cursed. And before they even like her actually. (They like her, they just won’t admit it)

Macaque woke up to the sound of your low groaning his ears picking up the sound of your discomfort. He looked over to you before getting up and looking you over. You were curled up in pain as you seemingly tried to make whatever pain go away.

He took one sniff and immediately looked you over when he could smell BLOOD. He didn’t want to smell blood, why did he smell blood, were you okay what happened!? He nudged your face causing you to open your eyes as he looked at your kind of pale face.

You couldn’t even say a word before Wukong was letting out chirps and chitters of fear as he too looked you over. His tail flicked as he looked you over but couldn’t find anything except by your-

“Fuck, I can’t believe I got a period NOW,” You muttered sitting up causing Spirit to shift in her sleep before waking up.

Both of the monkey cubs were freaking out, worried for your heath and safety. What happened!? Why were you bleeding!? How did you get hurt!? What was a period!?

“A what?” Spirit muttered in confusion.

“A period, You know that time of month that every woman has,” You muttered in irritation.

Both monkeys slowed down… this was- normal? They were both wildly confused, there was no way that this blood was normal. Right? Their thoughts were proven wrong when Reader explained a little more.

“A period?” Spirit asked her eyes narrowing.

“A human woman has a four week cycle, roughly 28 days for most. And for a few days each cycle a woman bleeds,” You mutter curling into yourself again at the pain.

It wasn’t long before you were bombarded by the three chirps, chitters and Spirit asking how she can help. You let out a sigh when Wukong jumped onto your abdomen which caused Spirit to shout, but the warmth he produced was welcome. He cuddled up to you and it helped with the pain, a lot.

Seeing that you were feeling better Spirit couldn’t do anything to move the monkey. Even as the other curled up to you as well. They just wanted you to feel better, especially knowing that it was causing you pain. You had to slow the whole journey down some because of this.

I would write more, but I’m going to write more into this sort of thing in the fanfic! But regardless I hope you enjoyed. The warlords would be worried for you, frantic until they learn its natural. Even after they wouldn’t like knowing you were in pain.

Once they return to their normal size and shape they’ll be able to help you better. They would treat you like a queen but since they know what this is, they won't be freaking out which is good because you don’t want two frantic warlords running around. Do you?

One request I had for clinging peaches is maybe wukong using a type of love potion for macaque to see things his way

Wukong had taken a while to search for something and Macaque was on edge. Mk was going unresponsive more and more often and that, combined with Wukong's sudden disappearance was scaring the shadow monkey. His ex-partner's impulsive behavior may have calmed down, but it was clear he was still just as obsessive as he was when they dated.

He always insisted that they were free to leave, but macaque knew better. The golden monkey had slipped a necklace onto him while he was asleep that had the same spells as the one he'd given Mk. Of course, the cub blaming himself for Macaque getting taken too was making it even harder to formulate an escape plan.

Speaking of, the kid had started going non-verbal, even when he wasn't unresponsive. He scratched himself randomly, despite the, honestly, excessive grooming, and he seemed to practically power down at random.

Safe to say, the king had overstimulated him. He was terrified to the point even Macaque's muffling charm couldn't silence his heartbeat to his sensitive ears. The six eared monkey had even started using spells he thought he'd have forgotten by now to calm the brunette, but nothing worked for long.

It had been almost two months since Macaque was captured and he hadn't gotten any closer to a get away plan. He was holding the cub in a nest and humming to him when Wukong returned and landed in front of the two.

He cooed and chirped out a greeting before walking past them and into the hut. Macaque shushed the cub as he heard his heartrate and breathing increase and unfurled his ears. Removing the muffling charm allowed him to hear the king cooking something with a tuneless song on his tongue.

He heard pouring and, oddly, bubbling. He listened closer to the liquid, hearing the sound of a glass potion bottle being poured out, then it went quiet. "I know you're listening, Mac." The black furred monkey gasped sharply. "Stop. It isn't going to hurt you." The sage was chuckling. As though he thought roofies weren't anything serious.

If he hadn't known the king when he was young, he would've kept listening. He was shocked with how much freedom the ruler had already given them. It was almost scarier that he laughed off everything instead of getting mad.

That grin hadn't slipped from the golden monkey's maw for longer than two minutes since he'd arrived. Even when either of them spoke out, Wukong just laughed and treated it like banter. He was a monster who thought he was a teddy bear.

Despite everything, Macaque could see the fear in the king's eyes. It almost looked like he was constantly gauging their reactions. Anyone else would think Wukong was oblivious to their fear, but the shadow monkey knew he was trying his best, which made his perceived insanity even more terrifying.

A cheerful chirp knocked the shadow out of his thoughts and brought his eyes to the golden furred immortal. He held Mk protectively on instinct, keeping the unresponsive (unresponsive? When did that happen?) boy close to his chest. "Here, Macaque! A gift for being such a great parental for him!"

The ruler held a tart with a suspiciously pink color out to the other monkey. Macaque ran his hand through the cub's mane and glared at the tart. "You first." He demanded.

Wukong chuckled at the command and joked, "You really think I poisoned it?" before lifting the tart to his lips and biting a small bit. "There. Perfectly edible. Your turn!" The king sounded odd after the bite, but he wasn't doubling over in pain, so he supposed it was fine.

He reached out and took the tart, still too nervous to deny the king. It looked like a perfectly normal tart that someone added neon pink food coloring to. He was terrified by the prospect of biting into the unnaturally colored treat, so he stalled. "What... flavor is this?"

A chuckle came from the ruler, who then answered, "Plum, Plums!" laughing at the alliteration.

Fear was clear on Macaque's face as he questioned, "Then... why is it pink?"

"That's just because of the species I used." Wukong brushed off, returning to staring at the cub in Macaque's lap. The darkest monkey had to resist the urge to hide hi the kid from the sage's eyes. "Aren't plums your favorite?" The obsessive joy slipped into possessive love as the king's eyes met his.

Just trying to get the king to leave at this point, the shadow finally started eating the tart. It was delicious, like every treat Wukong made. The fear came from the effects it had. Just the week before, he made cookies with a sleeping potion because the cub was having trouble sleeping. Macaque finished the tart before he could even process his first bite. Dread curled in the black furred monkey's stomach as he remembered the pouring noises.

"Good?" The king returned darkest monkey's attention to him, causing their eyes to meet and- Woah! When did everything start spinning? "Good. It'll only last a week, so, it isn't too bad of me to do! I just want you to calm down a little so you can learn that I'm not gonna hurt you! I promise, I'll never do it again if you don't like it!" The ruler defended his actions, clearly trying to shut up his own moral queries.

The kid managed to turn his head behind him, mind unable to process anything as it remained shut down. It was the only way to escape the fear. The ruler kneeled in front of his mate and cub with a chuckle. "Can I have the cub now, Plums?" He opened his arms, the prospect terrifying Mk, and yet, Macaque handed him over. His brain reactivated as he was handed into the golden monkey's arms. "Hi,~ kiddo."

A relieved sigh left the king as his cub was placed in his hands. He hadn't been able to get a good hug in with his cub since he took in his ex-mate. He gave a trilling chirp as he pulled the kid close, the shadow monkey seeming to return to awareness a moment later. The potion seemed to have settled, and that meant this week would finally be the one where he could have his happy family! "Why are you struggling, cub?"

Throughout the week, Macaque was acting normally, aside from the lessened fear of Wukong and oddly affectionate behavior. The love potion was effective and allowed the sage a chance to talk to his moonlight. His happy little family got to last as long as the week, and even Mk had calmed down a little!

Plums was truly a magician when it came to kids. With Macaque calmed down, Mk seemed to let himself relax a little more. It made him smile to see his shadow and his son laughing together, and hugging without that sense of fearful protectiveness.

Obviously, things returned to normalcy when it wore off, but those moments of calm were enough to lessen the tension in the air. He knew it! He just needed to remind his mate of how much better it was before things went bad!

And of course his cub would calm down eventually! After all...

They had all of eternity!

Voila! And, I'm sorry that I couldn't quite fit the, "see things his way" bit in there, but that's because Wukong is acting like this out of fear, not pure love. It is fear for those he loves, but it isn't how Macaque would act under my interpretation of a love potion. (A potion that inflicts the person who drank it with more affectionate behavior and thoughts)

With the post about your AU’s as the SIX group, do you mind giving a simple explanation of each AU as I don’t know some of them?

Sure! I have so many AUs on here, it makes sense that there’s a little confusion about some of them.

Villain MK is an offshoot of the Demon King Red AU that @estellardreams came up with. Here’s the original post about it. The basic plot of it is that this MK goes through being imprisoned by Red Son, but when he emerges from that he isn’t afraid and traumatized in the same way as other versions of MK have been. Instead, he decides he’s furious and wants to get revenge, so he trains to get stronger and comes back to try to kill Demon King Red.

Victim Red is the name given to the Red Son in Yandere MK’s AU. In this AU, MK is the yandere one. He lures Red Son away from his parents, manipulating them all to turn them all against each other and ensnares him in a controlling, emotionally abusive relationship where he is basically the only one who has access to him. Eventually Red Son is rescued by Mei, who discovers that her friend has changed since he became the Monkie Kid. However, MK is obsessed and desperate to get Red Son back by any means necessary.

Yandere Red’s MK is from older AU with not a ton of content for it, but the gist of it was that this Red Son is extremely into MK, but has a lot of yandere tendencies. At first he starts out by trying constantly to kidnap MK, but his wacky, looney tunes-esque plots never work out that well, and honestly MK doesn’t even see him as much of a threat and finds it adorable. Eventually, MK decides that this isn’t working.. and in any case, he thinks Red Son is kinda cute too (if a little possessive) so he comes up with a system. When Red Son behaves for a set amount of time, he gets rewarded. The quality of the rewards vary by the length of time he is able to contain his yandere tendencies and can range from holding hands to cuddling to maybe even something more scandalous… though honestly, Yandere Red struggles to last that long most of the time lol (This one is an older AU and honestly I made the mistake of not giving it its own specific tag, so the Yandere Red tag on my blog is full of other unrelated stuff too… so, uh.. you can check out that tag and scroll al the way to the bottom to find some of this content if you want I guess but the posts on the top is mostly other stuff)

Prisoner MK is the original dark spicynoodles AU that basically started off sooo many other ones (including Demon King Red which is a continuation of it). Basically, Red Son comes up with a plan to defeat the Monkie Kid, he is going to pretend to have a change of heart and ask to join his side. MK, being a softie for the sob story about his parents being cruel that the demon spins, welcomes him easily and the two start dating. Well, Red Son falls in love. Hard. So, instead of luring him into a trap and killing him, as was the original plan, he instead imprisons him. With MK out of the way, and under Red Son’s control thanks to him being outfitted with a version of the tightening fillet of Red’s own design, The Demon Bull Family take over the city… this doesn’t work out so well, though, because when Sun Wukong hears that his successor has been kidnapped he gets involved. After trying again and again to reason with the DBK fam, he loses his patience and, in his concern for MK and desire to save him, kills DBK and PIF. Red Son escapes and flees to go find MK and run away further, but Wukong catches up to him, frees MK and severely injures Red Son who just barely manages to sneak away to lick his wounds. (This Red Son later recovers and becomes Demon King Red, but that’s its own tag, and the Prisoner MK tag refers specifically to this part of the story.)

Prince MK is the bad ending of the Demon King Red AU. In this version, MK’s friends have all been either killed or irrevocably imprisoned, Sun Wukong is at the mercy of Macaque, and MK has been locked up in a tower where the only person allowed in or out is Demon King Red himself. He is alone and miserable and desperate for any kind of interaction with anyone except for King Red… but King Red is all he’s allowed. So, after resisting for as long as he can, he eventually leans into it and just surrenders, letting King Red love him and trying to convince himself that this is all fine because that’s all he can do- he has no more tears left to cry. This is his life now.

Time Travel Red Son is the protagonist of my fanfic A Test of Time. He’s an offshoot of the Demon King Red AU, and his whole deal is that he was in the middle of the plan laid out in the Prisoner MK AU, he was plotting to kill MK and steal the staff, but he also had fallen deeply in love with MK. Before he can put that all together in his mind, though, he accidentally gets flung into the future where he witnesses what is to become of himself if he continues down the path that is laid out for him. Seeing the mad Demon King Red and how utterly miserable and afraid of him this MK of the future is, he resolves that he has to do better and must change everything about himself to ensure that he never becomes Demon King Red or does what he does to hurt MK.

And.. it wasn’t brought up specifically in the Six question, but I’ll include it here, anyway, since it’s basically the main AU I talk about on this blog.

Demon King Red is the second half of the Prisoner MK AU and the antagonist of my fanfic A Test of Time. After Red Son is defeated by Sun Wukong and loses not only MK but his parents, he slinks back to the Fiery Mountains Palace his family owns and loses himself in despair. As he mourns the loss of his love and his family, instead of analyzing what he did wrong and how he hurt MK by kidnapping and torturing him, he instead breaks down. He loses his mind utterly. No, he wasn’t wrong. MK loved him. He said as much. Therefore, it was MK’s friends and that monster Sun Wukong who ruined everything. Red Son recovers physically and starts to rebuild. He goes to his parents’ old allies for assistance and builds a grand court at this old palace. He sinks deeper into madness, convinced that if he can just get MK away from his friends, if he can just get him here to his court and marry him, then everything will go back to the way it was and they’ll be in love and happy together again… anyway, obviously this is untrue. MK is terrified of him and fights with every fiber of his being to get away from him, but Demon King Red refuses to see it. If he were to acknowledge that MK hates him, it would mean he would have to admit to his own mistakes and that would mean it was his fault that his parents died and he just. can’t. do that.

Were the girls hogging Peaches all the time?

I imagine them asking her all the time if she needs anything or if she's sore or something haha just them being cute and annoying and worrying over the smallest of things 🤭

With Peach’s pregnancy the girls were definitely all over her for the first time. For Monkey Queen, she made it her life goal to make sure Peaches remained always in a state of comfort and ease, taking no shortcuts to make absolutely certain that her swollen mate never lifted a finger. it very quickly became suffocating for both Peaches and Plum Princess, especially with the first child being SWK’s. She became dangerously territorial not allowing anyone, even Macaque, to spend a second alone with their shared mate. In the beginning of the pregnancy SWK could be convinced not hover 24/7, but as time went on and Peaches got bigger SWK became practically feral in her desire to support and watch over her much weaker and vulnerable human wife. Macaque and SWK had a couple nasty fights over it that only Peaches was able to stop.

For Plum Princess, she was also desirous to care for Peaches but not to the extent that SWK obsessed about it. Macaque encouraged Peaches to walk around and find small ways to remain active, helping their wife to remain strong and independent… unfortunately all attempts usually ended with a pissed off SWK snarling at Macaque and urging Peaches to return to bed. In fact any attempt with Macaque seeking comfort or helping their waddling wife alone, would end with SWK shoving herself in the middle or lashing out at Macaque. It quickly became stressful for Macaque which encouraged her to keep her distance from the two, at least until the pregnancy was over. Macaque wouldn’t understand SWK’s actions fully until it was her child that Peaches was bearing, in which the roles switched.

With each pregnancy the girls relax more and more, not finding the need to aggressively protect their mate as often.
