Trophy | 141 x Reader
Day 15: Fantasy AU w/ Task Force 141
Summary: When the MacTavish Clan raids a neighboring clan who grew a bit too bold, they don’t expect to find the feisty, beaten wife of the other clan’s chief.
Word Count: ~1.2k
Warnings: Violence, blood, implied abuse, death, implied rape, kidnapping
A/N: well this was supposed to be fluff, but I hope you enjoy regardless, lmk what you think<3
Requests are open!
Tumblr media
The MacTavish Clan had been preparing for a raid on a neighboring clan that kept pushing boundaries, with local women disappearing into the night with no explanation at all, weapons disappearing, and footsteps discovered that weren’t of the style of shoe anyone within the clan wore, and that was among the less suspicious things.
The most talented and local blacksmith, Simon, known for his welding mask in a skull shape, had been honing the weapons for it.
Johnny, the leader of the Clan, had been discussing plans with Price, the leader of their men, and Gaz, his advisor. The general idea was simple, keep it undercover as long as possible, or until signs of their missing women and supplies were found, then they would go loud, letting every other man flood in.
Plunder what they could from the Gravison Clan, take their resources, and lives, and maybe take a few women from them in retaliation.
A few hours later, things were progressing smoothly, Price having infiltrated their walls under the cover of darkness, most men settling down for the night already, when the warlord discovered just what he’d been expecting in a large boat just offshore: the women of the MacTavish Clan bound and gagged in the storage compartment in the bottom.
One flaming arrow was shot into the sky, and just like that, every man from the Clan was flooding the Gravison Clan’s walls and defenses, slaughtering everyone they found save for the women and children, hunting down their leader, going through every house and home, Johnny wanting the kill for himself.
When he finally found the man, cowering inside a large home, he slit his throat after distributing more than a few hits to his body, and more than a few barked insults and curses at him.
The man’s head was soon put on a pike to be displayed, a sign of warning.
But what he hadn’t expected to find was a feisty woman, the wife of the Gravison Clan’s leader, fighting more than even her husband had, yelling and hissing and cursing at Johnny as he grabbed her, throwing her over his shoulder even as she kicked and clawed, nails drawing a bit of blood. It wasn’t often he took a prize from his battles, but you were intriguing, he’d never seen a woman with so much fight.
“Quit yer yappin’, woman.”
He grumbled as you pounded at his back, cursing him out so severely that the Devil himself would blush. The smell of smoke was thick in the air as huts and buildings were burned, leaving behind ashy remnants of what had been of the Clan.
Burnt bones crunched beneath his feet as he walked back to what had been of the gates, approaching his short, sturdy horse, hopping on in one smooth movement, one hand gathering both reigns as Price joined him on his own horse, following as Johnny took point back to the MacTavish Clan’s lands.
His warlord only raised a brow at the yelling woman thrown over his shoulder but didn’t question it, the ride silent back to their lands as your throat eventually grew too raw to keep screaming, body shivering from the cold and the exhaustion quickly seeping deep into your bones. Whether you had fallen asleep or passed out was lost on him, but he didn’t care either way, Price only spoke once he was sure your breathing had fallen into a deeper rhythm indicating unconsciousness.
“Didn’t take you as one to take a prize mare.”
Price commented, carefully eying his Chief, trying to read his mood based on the little tells. Johnny shrugged.
“Not a prize mare, just felt different about this one.”
And that was that. The conversation had ended, Price only giving a little grunt in return before they continued on the path home.
When they finally arrived, they had plenty of work to do.
~
When you woke, you first registered the pounding headache between your eyes, the loud sounds outside of work being done, people shouting, wood being sawed, and metal being hammered, only adding to your discomfort.
You tried to sit up, quietly groaning, leaning against the wall behind you.
It was a wonder you weren’t dead yet, honestly. But maybe that was part of their game, maybe they would just give you a glimmer of hope only to slaughter you like cattle, or turn you into a sex slave, or just an object to take their anger out on. It wouldn’t surprise you.
Your clothes had been changed. From the thin nightgown you’d worn the night earlier, now to a thin white smock, a strap dress sewn together at the sides hanging nearby.
Splotchy bruises were spread across your skin from the night earlier, though you couldn’t tell if they were from the other Chief, or your husband’s hands nights ago. They felt tender when you brushed a hand against them as if someone had rubbed against them.
You were in what seemed to be a separate section of a longhouse, a lit torch burning mildly as it hung from the mud and stone walls. Your eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness that still prevailed in the room, just as you heard a door creak, scrambling away as a man with honey-brown skin and short, tightly curled hair stepped in.
“Easy, I’m not here to hurt you.”
He said, offering a small smile that would’ve been reassuring in any other predicament. There was a platter in his hands, looking as if it was made of terracotta, a small roasted bird resting on it as he stepped further in, shutting the door behind him.
You watched warily as he set the plate down on one end of the bed you were in, moving to lean against a wall opposite the bed. He watched as you slowly picked the plate up, glancing at the food, before pulling the wing part off with cracked nails, taking a bite, and reluctantly deciding it was delicious.
“I’m Kyle, but everyone calls me Gaz. You are..?”
You looked him dead in the eye, chewing your bite of food, dead stare unnerving him slightly, before you swallowed, a flicker of pain in your eyes from how your throat ached until you finally responded.
“Y/N.”
You croaked out, and he nodded, but frowned slightly, giving you a glance over, before his gaze went back to your face.
“I'll be honest, I wasn’t expecting you to be so docile, considering you just watched your husband die by our Chief’s hand—“
“Good.”
Your raspy voice interrupted, eyes boring into his as you took another bite of the meat, and you watched his brows furrow for a moment. You shifted in the bed slightly, moving to pull your knees to your chest, plate balancing on your knee as the smock was pulled up slightly, showcasing one of the nastier bruises on your thigh.
His eyes darted to the bruises, quickly piecing things together as he carefully spoke his next few words.
“Your husband wasn’t a good man, was he?”
You shook your head, and he gave a little thoughtful nod, getting up, opening the door, walking out, closing it while muttering to himself. You managed to hear only a quiet,
“Bloody hell,”

Warlord Wukong: Hello my Queen
Reader: *Looks around confused when she sees no one other than Macaque and Wukong* I thought he was your warrior- *You manage to stumble out your words*
Warlord Macaque: I am The Monkey King's Shadow, his Warrior and his fellow King.
Reader: But he just called you his Queen.
Warlord Wukong: No I called you my Queen.
Reader: *Stares in confusion* I think you hit your head too hard... I'm not your Queen.
Warlord Macaque: You will be once we get married~
Reader: *Instantly flustered* WHAT!? No I'm not marrying anyone!
Warlord Wukong: Oh our sweet little mate~ You don't really have a choice...
Reader: *Flustered embarrassment turns to fear and anger* Excuse me!?
Warlord Macaque: What my loving husband means is that we are courtnapping you. Once you arrive on Flower Fruit Mountian, you will be our mate and our Queen.
Reader: *Slowly tries to back away but there's no where she can go in the small cave she had found herself in when she woke up after a demon attack*
Warlord Wukong: You'll love it, I promise.
Reader: Listen, I'm sure you're both really nice men, but I'm not interes- Ahhh!
The next thing you know your tossed over Wukong's shoulder. He doesn't care about your kicking and screaming as he carries you away.
Reader: Let me go!
Warlord Macaque: he'll let you go once we get home, love. Until then you should stop screaming it might attract... attention~ And not from those humans you value so much.
You felt a shiver down your spine at the threat. No the warning of the other demons that inhabited the forest that you were entering. They were courtnapping you and there was nothing you could do about it!
Random idea dump. Can't say I'm totally happy with it but I'm sharing it anyways.
Feel free to Reblog if you want to add to this!
Comments are also appreciated ❤️

i see you like my crumbs, will you take another?
now hear me out:
reader looking after the cubs by grooming their fur.
at first they never would allow it, them looking after each other. but after awhile, maybe they need to be cleaned up quickly or perhaps they cant groom each other for some reason, and so they have their choice: reader or spirit.
they already know how proficient spirit is with monkey related things, so its a case of who they trust more.
reader has gave them pats and scratches, and perhaps removed things from their fur once or twice, but has no skills when it comes to grooming a monkey proper, but that certainly wont stop them from trying! it takes a while, with reader going slow, but afterwards, they are.. mostly clean? they really cant blame reader for not knowing how to do so, but she certainly tried her best!
and well, it certainly felt nice, that's for sure.
they don't always get both cleaned by reader, sometimes spirit grooms one of them as well. not often, and only when they absolutely cant get clean with in the timeframe they have. spirit doesn't put in as much care to make sure she isn't pulling hair and such. she isn't being mean, but she just prioritises efficiency over comfort, unlike reader.
as they grow closer and closer with reader, she gets more chances to groom them, getting more skilled at it as time goes on. after a while, they even try and return the favour, from time to time.
now, instead of only when they need it, they try and get a grooming session from reader whenever they're relaxing, loving the sensation of reader caring for them so gently.
but when they turn back...
it's a bit difficult to convince reader to groom them, especially when they kidnapped her.
monkey duo: ah yes, hello, i know we took you to the mountain and are never letting you go, but can you please clean our fur? even though us being in our true forms means we are bigger now, and thus take much more time?
reader, freshly kidnapped and pissed off: no, you aren't kids, clean yourselves
monkey duo: :(
a few hours later:
reader grooming a random cub that asked politely:
monkey duo: :(
monkey duo: >:(
i will be back with more crumbs at a later date, i hope you enjoy this one.
Hahaha!!! Omg this would totally happen!
Now don't get me wrong the monkey duo wouldn't be mad at the cub. They would never be mad at a cub. However they are mad that they aren't also getting grooming.
Macaque would be slightly more understanding because he is self aware that they did kidnap/courtnap you. Though he still doesn’t like that you won’t give him such attention yet. He is sure that eventually you’ll give in though.
“Darling,” Wukong called out as he opened the door to your room/ cage.
Immediately you backed up in your bed, a scowl easily spread across your face even through the fear that you felt. In his hands the Warlord held a tray of fruits, all freshly cut and carefully placed to look extra appealing. You barely looked at the offering that he tried to give you, instead watching the monkey demon.
Sun Wukong was tall, almost standing at six feet tall with deep golden eyes. His beautiful golden fur looked the same shade as when he was in the form of a cub. You almost felt betrayed when you had first seen his true form. He had been wearing his golden armor and extravagant clothing before but now? Now as he walked into the room he was wearing nothing but a pair of pants, showing off his furry chest and back muscles.
All you did was glare at the monkey demon as he set the tray onto a table in the room. You didn’t say a word as he looked over at you. You expected him to leave but then noticed Macaque also walk into the room, dressed the same as his mate. His normally dark fur gone in favor of his beautiful white coat that he only shows to you and Wukong.
“What?” You ask almost silently as you waited for their reason for staying.
“It’s been a week since you’ve arrived on the island,” Wukong started, a wide grin spread across his face as if he just told you something incredible.
You raise an eyebrow with confusion, “So-?”
Both monkey demons approached the bed and leaned against it, giving you a full view of their chests. You pushed down the blush that threatened to cover your face at the sight of them.
“We were hoping- that you’d be willing to give us a grooming,” Macaque was the one to speak.
Immediately you’re tiny bubble burst and you gave them a glare, “No.”
“Oh come on why not!?” Wukong yelled looking at you with a puppy dog look across his face, as he flopped himself on the ground.
At the action you backed up a frown spread across your face. You glanced at Macaque who unlike Wukong merely looked dejected but seemed to have accepted that you wouldn’t groom them. However his mate, was not the same case.
“Darling, love, precious gem, our precious Queen, please,” Wukong begged jumping onto the bed and laying his head on your lap before you could move.
You of course merely frowned and pushed him off of you a deep frown covering your face. Looking away you scowled.
>>><<<
A few hours later when you are sitting alone in the room after having sent the duo away, both being thoroughly disappointed. Slowly you had eaten the food they provided, you had to admit that it tasted delicious. Not that you would tell either of them that, especially right now.
*Chirp*
It was small almost silent, a tiny chirp caught your attention. Turning to look you saw none other than a small monkey cub. It was a little girl with curly dark brown fur and the brightest blue eyes. She was looking almost everywhere but at you and playing with the sleeves of her pretty pink Hanfu.
“Hello there,” You couldn’t help but coo at the cute cub.
Almost immediately she perked up her eyes wide as she looked up at you with a warm smile. Cautiously she walked up to you and sat down a little bit away before scooting a little closer and settling down. Curious you tilted your head before crouching down to her level.
“Is there something you need?” You asked calmly.
“C-Can you help me? I can’t get the knots,” She muttered pointing around her body to her back and you felt your heart squeeze. How could you say no to such a cute face?
You barely let out a sigh before sitting down on the floor in front of her. Immediately the young cub turns around and reveals her back to you pulling her clothing so you could reach where she couldn’t. With expert care and skill that you attained from grooming the two warlords before you knew who they were you carefully combed through her fur.
Gently untangling every knot and strand you smiled when she began to purr. It was calm and rather domestic. You didn’t even notice when someone leaned against the doorframe.
Macaque’s gaze watched you calmly, he crossed his arms across himself and found himself bitterly smiling. He wanted that attention, the attention that you were freely giving to such a small monkey cub. She was a runt so small and frail, someone who you were caring for without a second thought. You will make such a wonderful mother, the thought crossed his mind and he quickly pushed it away. At least he tried. The thought of you carrying his cubs was overwhelming, you would make such cute cubs.
He was only broken out of his thoughts when his husband walked by, “No fair!”
You jumped before whipping your head around to look at the warlords, Wukong in particular had an almost offended look on his face. He didn’t think it was fair, he wanted your attention too. He wanted your fingers combing and grooming through his fur, he was your husband! You were married as far as he or Macaque were concerned, he did everything needed with the courtship and courtnapping. Aside from consummation but you just weren’t ready for that.
“Why won’t you groom my fur too,” He practically whined stomping his feet.
The cub let out a squeak before scurrying away to get away from the warlord, only to get caught by Macaque’s tail. You felt a shot of fear through you for a split second before he gently cradled the cub in his arms. The look on his face was both disappointment and wonder as he handed the cub back to you. Something that you accepted without a second thought, which was the reason unknown to you that Wukong went silent.
You were so cute holding the cub, how did he miss that!? How would you look holding their cub? Both his and Macaque’s? The thought filled his head as he sat down on the ground, his tail thumping on the ground as he tried to calm himself down. You focused back on grooming the cub, weather because you simply wanted to or to avoid the warlords was unclear at this point.
I loved this ask! SO CUTE!! Honestly they will be less annoyed with you grooming cubs and more wanting you to have THEIR cubs. So Reader’s gotta be careful with that, luckily for her the monkey warlords are willing to wait. Even if they don’t want to. Sorry again for the waits on these but I am working on them!!

Reader thinks the monkeys are normal animals right? So would she change/shower in front of them or feel awkward being naked in front of the monkeys? Or would spirit just babysit them whenever the issue comes up?
Ooh! Now, this is a thought. And she wouldn't feel awkward about it at all. They might feel a bit awkward, though, seeing as they don't interact with humans much, besides ya know killing them.
Spirit doesn't really know the importance of 'decency' for humans so doesn't really care. Until she learns about how it's important to them. Once she does she takes it upon herself to keep the two male monkeys away from Reader while she's either changing or cleaning herself.
That being said, by this point, when Spirit is trying to separate them, they have already fallen in love with her. So~ I think ya'll can see the problem. Having Spirit trying to hold onto two monkey 'cubs' who are trying to fight to get back with their darling is so much fun. They don't like anyone who tries to keep them away from their love.
Why should they not get to bathe with their darling? They've done so many times before, and she gives them the best scratches when they do, too. Of course, they didn't like the baths at first, but since their darling is insistent on helping them stay clean, how can they resist.
So when Spirit 'suddenly' and 'for no reason' starts to stop them? Oh, they are not pleased, not pleased one single bit. They had just gotten used to their baths. Why was she trying to separate them!?

Cursed Warlord AU - Reader & MK Talk
Might make this canon to au... Not sure yet. The scene just would not leave my head.
Summery: After the journey Reader is sent back to her world, and both of the warlords believe she is dead. They are married and raise Xiaotian when they find his egg, the small amount of chaos energy reminds them of Reader. And he has powers similar to both Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque.
He is able to convince his dads to let him live in the city. It takes years but he convinces them and works at Pigsy’s noodles meeting a young woman named Reader who is now his co-worker. Someone who just moved into town a few months before him.
He gets into a fight with his dads about them wanting him to come back but he doesn’t want to live on the Mountian. Because of this he is sitting on top of the restaurant when Reader finds him.
“MK?” You call out in confusion when you first noticed his feet dangling off of the roof.
It had shocked you to see the young man curled up with a look of defeat across his face. His arms crossed over his chest as he pulled his knees up to his chest as you made your way out of his apartment window to get to him. You had to borrow a key from Pigsy just to get through the window.
“What do you want?” He grumbled not looking at you as he stared up at the night sky.
You remained silent for a moment before sitting down next to him. Looking down you noticed the fall would probably hurt so you crossed your legs and sat just a little bit away from the edge. You knew something was wrong but for the life of you, you couldn’t figure it out.
“Are you alright?” You questioned, looking out at the stars not wanting to pressure him.
“What do you care?” He bit back a frown setting on his face as he turned to face you, but it relaxed when he noticed how calm you looked.
“I care about my friends, and you’re my friend. We’ve been through quite a bit you know, you saved me from the Spider Queen, and you stopped that one demon from courtnapping me remember. Is it so confusing to think that I care about you?” You chuckled awkwardly unsure of what he meant with his question.
Mk’s eyes widened in shock, he hadn’t thought of that. Then a frown set back on his face, you only cared because he helped you. Why was that disappointing? His parents were right, they were the only ones who loved him unconditionally. No one else cared-
“Then again, I cared before then. You’re a cheerful person it’s no wonder that everyone cares about you so much,” You laughed fondly before finally looking him in the eyes.
His eyes were wide with shock, “Not everyone cares about me,” He finally bit back.
“That’s true, there will always be people that won’t care. Every person is different… but you do have a lot of people who care about you. Pigsy, Tang, Sandy, Mo, you’ve got Mei always hanging out with you, haven’t you also befriended Redson?” You teased about Redson causing Mk’s face to flush. You knew full well of the crush he developed on the Second Demon Bull Prince. “Redboy is also someone who has been hanging around without trying to kill anyone you know.”
“…Yeah. There are people who care,” He mutters lowly. “But why?”
You glanced at him before staring up at the stars again. You thought it over, the silence slowly becoming tense as Mk waited for a reason. Some real reason that people cared about him, that they would truly want to be his friend.
“I can’t say,” You respond finally and Mk felt his chest tighten, there was no good reason was there.
“Oh.”
“Well I can’t say why THEY care,” You emphasize before looking at him again with a smile.
Looking at you with a calm look he waited again, even though he wanted to run away so he didn’t have to listen to any more of this. It hurt, he didn’t want to listen about what he did to EARN their affection. He just wanted to be loved for who he was, he wanted people to care for him without them asking for something in return. But regardless he couldn’t bring himself to move so he sat there listening to you speak. Each word made him freeze.
“I can tell you why I care though. I care because you’re you. I care because you’re MK. I care because you are a good person. I care because no matter what I know you try to do what is right even when others try to push you down or push you in a different direction,” You explain hoping that he could feel the sincerity of your words.
He stared at you wide eyes for a moment before asking, “But- But what if I wasn’t a good person? What if I got pushed down? What if I got sent the wrong way?”
“Why does that matter?” You asked in response after a moment of silence.
“What? Why would it not matter?” He bit back tears flooding his eyes.
“It doesn’t matter because you ARE a good person. Because you GET BACK UP when you get pushed down. Because you turn around when you get pushed the WRONG WAY. Mk listen life is full of ups and downs, there will always be something that will test you in one way or another. I don’t know what is going on but… no matter what, you know I care about you. Even if you don’t KNOW that, I do, I care about you just like your other friends care about you,” You hope that’s the right thing to say, even though it didn’t make complete sense… You weren’t very good at this were you?
Mk stared at you thinking, what was wrong? What was wrong was the fact his parents didn’t think he was old enough to live in the city. What was wrong was his parents wanting him to go back to the island. What was wrong is that they continued to try to protect him when he didn’t need it. He moved to the city to prove he could do SOMETHING for himself, and he had… he had done many things for himself. He fought the Demon Bull King, The Spider Queen, many other demons, he had made a living for himself, he had saved lives and he had survived against threats of all kinds.
Even after all that his parents still didn’t see him as an adult they still didn’t see that he was loved and cared for while actually getting the freedom to CHOOSE what he wanted to do. He could feel the tears building in his eyes, he knew that this had nothing to do with thinking that the others didn’t care for him, he knew they did. He just wanted his parents to see that as well.
“My parents… they want me to move back home,” He barely let out the whisper, letting out a choked sob, he didn’t want to go back. It hadn’t even been six months and they wanted him to come back. “But I don’t want to go back. I want to stay HERE.”
“Do- Do you not get along with your parents?” You begin with a frown, suddenly worried for his actual mental health.
“It’s not that! It… I just…They make me feel so trapped like I can’t do anything without them. But I can! I can do things without them… I just wish that they could see that,” He almost yelled trying to calm down while still being upset. “I-It almost makes me… hate them! I- I just don’t know what to do anymore!”
“… Have you told them that?” You asked curiously.
“What!? NO! I could never tell them any of that, they would never take it well. They… they wouldn’t even listen I’m sure,” He growled out thinking back to their last argument.
‘You wanted to see the city and you have, now it’s time to come home. Where it’s safe,’ his baba’s words echoed through his own glamoured six ears, he didn’t want to think about it. He just wanted them to listen to him for once!
You sat in silence for a moment before finally saying, “…How will you know if you don’t tell them?”
Mk didn’t respond at first as he took deep breaths. He wouldn’t know their reactions unless he actually said something would he? But these were HIS parents, the same ones who want him to train more, to stay by their side and become a warlord like them. He didn’t want that, he didn’t want to be a warlord, he wanted to be a hero, someone people would actually look at without fear or hatred.
“I just do… They just want me to stay with them like… like some child!”
“They want to protect you…” You muttered thinking back on your own experiences, when you were trapped, when you had no where you could turn to except for the ones who held you prisoner. You had been a Queen but you didn’t have freedom, and freedom was something that you valued highly in life. “But you feel trapped with how they do it? Is that right?”
“Something like that…” Mk curled up again silently letting some tears freely fall down his cheeks.
“I’ve been through that once…” You had been trying not to think about them, but how could you not? You had returned to the world they resided, one wrong move and they would find you. You had already left them three times and each time they got more and more desperate to keep you close. You weren’t sure how to tell Mk that, especially since his parents probably weren’t world dominating Warlords like your husbands were.
“You have?” Mk sounded disbelieving.
“Yeah… I… I was married once or still am… I think. Anyways, I was married and my husbands were… well they were powerful warriors and known far and wide. They hated when I would get in danger and every chance they got they would drag me back to their home. They didn’t want me to leave because they were afraid of what would happen,” You explained hoping to give him some comfort in knowing he wasn’t alone.
"So what? You think I should.... Just go back?" he asked slowly before scoffing.
"No. Nothing will excuse a person's actions. I'm saying that there are reasons, reasons that show how much they care about you. Maybe if you spoke with them and told them exactly how you feel... They might listen, after all they do care about you,” you said as you pulled him into a hug," May be they would listen to him like Sun Wukong and Macaque didn't listen to you.
MK thought about it, maybe just maybe they would listen to him. There was a chance, it was small, his parents never did like when he was in real danger. He just couldn't live his life on the island like he has been. He wanted...he craved...he needed freedom.
"Did you... What happened to your husbands?" MK finally asked.
"Well... It's a long story," you start but decide to sum it up, sort of. “But they think I'm dead.”
"What? Who are your husbands?"
"Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque."
As always comments and likes are greatly appreciated. Opinions? Send them my way. If you have criticism also let me know, just don’t be rude about it (Though I haven’t had any RUDE criticism. In fact all that I’ve gotten are helpful opinions which I greatly enjoy!)

For some reason, I can’t help but picture the two warlords trying to talk the reader into eating a peach of immortality, and if the reader continues to refuse, they’re just like to heck with it and decide to sneak one into her food one day and end up, making her immortal and she doesn’t realize it until it’s too late
Love this I do. And they have every intention of getting her to be immortal like they are. She can’t escape them even through death. They won’t allow it.
Now as for how they’ll get her to be immortal? There are two options that come to mind.
The first option being that they sneak it into her food. While she’s trapped on the island they are able to feed her whatever they want, getting her to actually eat it always depends on her mood though. There has been a few times she’ll reject the food that they offer. However the answer to that is quite simple, give the fruit to a cub and have the cub give it to her. With Reader’s bleeding heart she won’t be able to bring herself to reject the cub.
The second? HAHAHHA! Well let’s just say depending on the desperation that these yanderes have depends on how fast they want her to eat the fruit. In this case, they could just bite down into the fruit and feed it to her via a kiss. They won’t let their pretty wife leave them, no matter what she says about it. Though doing it this way may just get her pissed off, she does pack a mean punch (Not really, these two are too strong for her to actually hurt them)
“I’m not willing to lose you my darling~”
“As if we’d allow death to take you away from us~”
Short answer, yes they will definitely have to ‘fight’ to get her to be immortal. Reader doesn’t want immortality she just wants to go home back to her own world.

So, I have a thought about Spirit;
Spirit: This is my fabulous sister, Queen of Flower Fruit Mountain.
Reader: (waves)
Spirit: and these are her lame, don't deserve her, pathetic husbands.
Wukong & Macaque: hey now-
Like, Spirit taking advantage of being Reader's sister to be the most annoying in-law she can
Yaasss!! If and when the dust settles and if Reader actually accepts them. Yes this would totally happen, heck I can see so many scenarios where she would be like this.
Spirit does NOT like the two monkey demons who stole her sister away. The sheer number of times she will try to get her sister back is astounding.
Heck, she'd be like this even with MK. Since Reader is PROBABLY going to adopt him. Spirit would be the cool aunt who gives him anything he wants. Especially since she is not good with knowing what they actually need.
Anyways I love this idea sooo-
.....
The room was filled with demons and celestials alike, many coming to Flower Fruit Mountain in hopes of becoming allies or at least making sure they wouldn't be harmed by the Monkey King and his Warrior. Others simply came to meet the new Queen they have taken.
Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque were very well known to keep everyone they can away from their new mate. News had spread like wildfire at the news of the two taking on a mortal human woman as their mate. A few didn’t believe it others believed that this would be a great way to finding a weakness between the monkey king and his warrior. Some even speculated that one of them had cheated on the other, however none of that was true.
The room was filled with demons and celestials alike, many coming to Flower Fruit Mountain in hopes of becoming allies or at least making sure they wouldn't be harmed by the Monkey King and his Warrior. Others simply came to meet the new Queen they have taken.
Many glanced around trying to locate the only human within the midst and finally they did. A young maiden, dressed in a long dark red hanfu with vibrant gold embroidered throughout the fabric. Roses decorated your hair along with jewels that dangled beautifully around your head and through your hair.
Some attempted to approach you but all were sent away by the small monkey demoness that accompanied you. A dark furred one with floating hair and light grey eyes. The one known as Spirit, the daughter of one of the Monkey Kings generals. The only ones able to get closer were your husbands who were willing to just scoop you up into their arms.
Both monkey kings had increased their size while the festivities were taking place.
“Brother!” Sun Wukong loudly called out when none other than the Demon Bull King walked into the ballroom.
You felt a shiver run down your spine at the sheer sight of the mighty and huge demon before you. It was absolutely terrifying to see someone so huge. Your attention however was turned away to someone else. A woman with long black hair and deep black eyes, she was watching the Demon Bull King like a hawk. But then turned her attention to you.
“Hello, you must be the woman everyone has been speaking of,” She spoke elegantly as she walked up to you gracefully.
Spirit immediately bared her teeth and growled at her, “What do you want?”
“I merely wished to speak with the new Queen of the Mountian. My name is Princess Iron Fan, and yours?” Her eyes watched you calmly though they narrowed slightly as she waited for a response.
You didn’t know why she approached you, she was a celestial who had nothing to do with you. And if she was anything like they show which you weren’t sure if you should trust her. In fact based on everything you knew, you shouldn’t trust her.
“Reader, her name is Reader MY Fabulous and wonderful SISTER, The Queen of Flower Fruit Mountain,” Spirit answered for you, emphasizing the fact that you were siblings, sworn siblings but details. You also noticed how she spoke about you being Queen rather bitterly which wasn’t really surprising.
You waved awkwardly unsure of what to do when you felt two familiar presences behind you. Turning slightly you noticed your two husbands arrive, Wukong wearing his usual smirk and Macaque narrowing his eyes at the woman before them.
“And these are Readers completely useless, lame, and don’t deserve her pathetic husbands,” Spirit said smugly.
“Excuse me what did you just say?” Wukong growled but before attacking he was held back by his husband as Reader pulled Spirit to her side and sending him a stern look. Even while she shook with some fear.
So in tern yes Spirit will be the most annoying sister-in-law that these two monkey demons will ever have. Especially because she is the only in-law that they currently have. The reason for this is simple too, Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque don’t have any ‘real’ family other than the monkeys on the mountain. All of which were all for them getting together and they all knew both of them before they got together. So they weren’t trying to learn about new people.
Thank you so much for this ask!! I greatly enjoy seeing people liking my content!

Cursed Warlord AU - Chapter 2 - Peaches and Plums
You have two new companions traveling with you! They are so small and adorable, you were certain about that. Now if only you could get some food and let’s not forget that they needed names too.
Macaque clawed at your arms as you carried the two monkeys along with you. Unfortunately for him his claws were tiny and didn't even put a scratch along your skin. You chuckled at his attempts, holding both of the monkeys close.
"This is a terrible idea" Spirit grumbled as she followed not too far behind you, glaring at the two in your arms.
Macaque and Wukong couldn't help but agree. How dare a human such as yourself drag them along to wherever you were going. A place that they just learned that you yourself didn't know. Growling Wukong thrashed angrily.
“PFF, this is a fine idea. You saw yourself that without their parents they are likely to die,” You replied rolling your eyes as you adjusted your arms to hold them a little better through their struggling.
Spirit groaned as she followed, crossing her arms as she sent a glare towards the two monkeys in your arms unaware of their true forms. Letting out a sigh she shook her head as she walked right up next to you and grabbed the golden monkey by the scruff of the neck and picked him up causing him to screech.
She glared at him with a piercing grey gaze staring at him as though he personally offended her. Baring her teeth she growled at him, only to get slapped.
“ARE YOU CRAZY! You can’t grab him like that!” You yelled pulling him back into your arms, shocking both of the monkeys.
“What was that for!?” Spirit yelled rubbing the back of her head as she glared at you.
“You need to stop being so mean!” You explained with a glare back.
Spirit groaned as you gently pet where she had grabbed the golden monkey who looked shocked that it had happened at all. He looked up at the demoness who had an annoyed expression on her face, she would make for a terrible mother he easily decided. How dare someone lay a hand on a cub, he could excuse her behavior as a fellow monkey demon for not understanding him. But laying her hands on him!? He growled but froze when he received a small kiss on the forehead.
“It’s okay dear, I won’t let her hurt you,” You cooed before placing a kiss on the monkey with six ears.
Both monkeys froze again and looked at you as though you had just handed them gold that they had no idea what to do with it. Thinking about it you weren’t sure if they would understand even that, but shrugged and laughed when they started struggling again. The six eared monkey bit into your arm with weak strength that tickled at most.
“Oh are you hungry? Hey Spirit do you know where we can get some food?” You asked with a grin, for as long as you’d known her, Spirit always knew where to find food.
With the quick roll of her eyes, the grey monkey demoness looked around before her gaze focused on a set direction. With the flick of her tail she started bounding to the left, jumping over a few roots and under branches.
“Don’t worry, she’ll be back with good food. She always does get the freshest fruit,” You say to the monkeys, at your words the two stopped thrashing seeming to understand that they were going to get food.
As you waited you sat on the ground and immediately your body slightly sagged. Finally you felt relaxed a feeling you were unable to feel these passed two days since you have arrived in this strange place. It was odd how you have been able to handle all that happened within the time you were here. It must have been the adrenaline, you thought before snapping out of your thoughts when you heard what sounded like an annoyed chirp.
Looking down you noticed that the monkeys had jumped out of your arms and were sitting in front of you. When did they get away from you? It didn’t matter, you thought as you leaned forward to pick them up only for them to jump out of your way once more. With a pout you sat there realizing that they weren’t going anywhere because they wanted food. Or at least that’s what you thought.
With a sigh you leaned you head back and closed your eyes for just a moment, they wouldn’t leave if you did that right? You tried to think calmly while your eyes threatened to close shut. They were heavy, with fatigue and sadness. You missed home, you missed your family and your friends. They were probably looking for you right about now, at least one of them would have tried to contact you.
*Chirp!*
You practically bolted upward to look at the golden monkey who had decided to perch himself on your lap. He didn’t appear to be the slightest bit happy, seemingly annoyed at you for whatever reason. At first you thought it was because you had ‘manhandled them’ but if that were the case shouldn’t they have run off by now? Your head spun for a moment as you shook the thought away.
The second monkey jumped onto your lap, he had six ears. They were like beautiful lotus petals coloring in red, purple and blue. If you had seen this just two days ago it would have freaked you out. But after saving a monkey demon, being chased by bandits and an ogre along with seeing many strange and definitely magical creatures within this forest you couldn’t help but just admire the beauty of them.
“You have pretty ears,” You muttered reaching a hand up to touch them but was denied the honor when he jumped out of reach, his tail lashing as he hissed at you.
You pouted again, and let out a yelp when the golden monkey decided to bite your finger. It was the first time that he bit hard enough to draw blood, just the barest amount of it as he refused to let go. With a huff, you gently pried him off too tired to feel threatened or even scared of the first creature to draw your blood in this world. The ogre came close but had failed by a hair.
“You’re jealous that I like his ears? I like your golden fur too, and his white fur. How is it so clean?” You mumbled, you could hear your voice slip a little bit as some sort of weight almost weightless seemed to lift from your tongue.
Immediately the two monkeys looked at you confused, tilting their heads. The anger seemed to have gone for a moment as they looked at you. You stared back for a moment before shrugging, they were animals it was surprising that they seemed to understand as much as they did already.
“I’m back!” Spirit called out.
Turning your head to look you were met with the sight of a bowl full of a variety of fruits. You didn’t have time to think about where she had gotten the bowl or how she got such a variety. All you could think about was feeding yourself and these two monkey cubs. They were so small, they were bound to be hungry by now.
“How small would these need to be cut for the cubs?” Not a sound was heard from the two monkeys as you asked.
Immediately Spirit’s eyes widened in pure confusion before she squinted them. Taking a step closer she spoke in a calm and rather collected tone. “What did you just say?”
Looking at her equally confused you repeat, “How small would these need to be cut for the cubs?” You heard a hiss from the monkeys as you asked the grey eyed demoness the question again.
“Oh. I guess you mumbled your words… Sorry I have no idea,” She muttered the first half of her sentence before shrugging calmly.
Glancing up at her you frowned in confusion before shrugging. If she didn’t know than you would just cut them small. Looking at the array of fruit you noticed they were all soft varieties, many which you were sure would not naturally grow next to each other. Peaches, plums, mangos, strawberries, and even blueberries. Picking up a peach you went to work cutting them apart with a pocket knife you pulled out of your pocket.
If Spirit didn’t know how big they needed cut that was fine, you would just cut them small. In no time at all you had one of each fruit cut into pieces and set the bowl down on the ground for the cubs to grab. You smiled as the golden one jumped for the peaches while the white furred one picked up the plum pieces in his tiny paws.
“I’m going to call you Peaches, and you’re going to be Plums!” You nearly squealed all giddy as you stared at the monkeys who froze at your words. You got what you assumed was a glare from them but couldn’t find it in you to really care. The names were cute! And since they were cute, the names fit rather well in your opinion.
“Seriously? Peaches and Plums?” Spirit asked with a frown, apparently she didn’t really like the names all that much.
“Do you have a better idea? I can’t just keep calling them monkeys,” You respond in a matter of fact tone, before yawning. You were getting really tired, had you even been able to sleep the night before?
Slowly you picked up a piece of fruit for yourself and began to eat slowly. You were trying to savor every bite you could while also making sure that you didn’t throw it up. You shook the thought away as you finished three large fruits.
“No I don’t have ‘better’ names. Do what you will, but we should really get going now. We have a lot of land to cover if you want to reach the village,” Spirit replied.
At first you wanted to refuse and try to sleep for a while. Then you remembered that the bandits were still lurking in the forest, how had you forgotten? You didn’t kill any of them and they wanted your head after you stole their ‘stuff’. They would probably have sold you to the highest bidder along with Spirit if you hadn’t been able to escape. Letting out a sigh you nodded before looking at the two monkeys.
“So Peaches, Plums, who’s ready to get out of this forest? I promise to keep you safe and fed,” You grinned, happily. If you had been fully awake you may have questioned why you were asking animals, but then again they had shown remarkable understanding to most of what you said.
The two glanced at each other giving a few chirps before hesitantly going up to you. They jumped into your arms at first before climbing up to your shoulders where they perched themselves. Peaches appeared to be rather grumpy about the arrangement but didn’t give out any more sounds as you happily got up and prepared to venture out with your companion, or rather companions.
“You two are so cute! Honestly how could anyone not like you two,” You giggled with a happy grin spread across your face.
You rolled your eyes when Spirit huffed in front of you. She whipped her tail back and forth a few times before stilling it as she made her way to show you the path out of the forest. You were going to be okay, you had someone who was trying to protect you, you had someone who was trying to get you home. You weren’t going to be stuck here forever, you were absolutely sure of that.
“Whatever you say,” Spirit muttered under her breath, weather a response to your words or your thoughts you weren’t quite sure. She couldn’t read thoughts, could she?
Thoughts and opinions? I would love to hear what everyone thinks! A few tidbits on what’s happened in the past few days since you’ve arrived in this world along with Spirit’s rather not very good nature with children. She loves them truly, she just doesn’t know how to take care of them.
If you could leave a like and a comment they are much appreciated!

Cursed Warlords Lmk Au - Chapter 1 - Meeting The Mortal
Sun Wukong and The Six Eared Macaque have been cursed. Luckily for them, a young mortal (You) has chosen to take care of them.
*Chirp* *Chirp*
Sun Wukong couldn’t believe this, he was a feared warlord! He was a dangerous being who struck fear into the hearts of humans. He ruled an entire island and had a whole island. Now he was but the size of a small cub, and he couldn’t figure out how to get back to normal. Growling he threw his arms around trying to shape-shift, which he was unable to do at all right now.`
*Chirp* *Chirp*
The sound of his mate caught his attention. He huffed as he turned to Macaque who was also stuck in the form of a cub. The two weren’t even demon cubs, no they were stuck looking like normal monkey cubs! He loved cubs, but he hated the idea of being stuck as one!
‘Calm down, being loud won’t do us any good,’ Macaque chirped jumping to sit beside him under a large tree.
Wukong huffed as he looked around, they were sitting in a large forest. It was dense and filled with highly dangerous creatures. None of which could best himself and his mate of course so there was no need for them to worry. Seemingly sensing what his mate was thinking Macaque chirped. ‘We can’t beat anyone stuck like this.’
Macaque wasn’t stupid, far from it he was a dangerous warlord who ruled right next to his husband. Now the both of them were stuck as defenseless cubs with no way to return to their own bodies. He held back his own growl at the thought, they would get back to normal, there was no way he would just sit back as he was stuck in a form like this!
They needed to think of a plan, hell they needed to find out how this happened in order to find a way to fix it! Macaque looked at his mate, he wasn’t taller than a foot now with the same bright golden fur and golden eyes. The marking under his mouth vanished but he still had his red, heart shaped mask surrounding his eyes. Though now it was closer to a peachy orange color.
‘You got any ideas on what to do than?’ Wukong growled back, they had been stuck in this form for almost two days now with no clue of how it happened or who was responsible. In that time this was the first time that Sun Wukong had calmed down enough to talk.
Macaque thought about it, they needed to get back to Flower Fruit Mountain and get seek help. Knowing his mate though there was very little chance that he would want to do that because it would show his weakness. That weakness having only just appeared once whatever curse was set on them settled. They had no way to get to The Mountain, they were terribly far from Camal Ridge as well as The Demon Bull King’s territory in the desert.
Wukong frowned when he didn’t get a response from his mate. His still taller than him mate, he was like an inch taller still even with both of them shrinking down to this height. It kind of pissed him off if he was to be honest. His mate who still had his six eared, feather like purple mask, as well as his dark purple eyes. The single marking below his lip had vanished and he was stuck with his bright white fur, which caused him to stand out rather well in this place.
‘We need to get to Flower Fruit Mountain,’ Macaque chirped, looking around for the best way to get back without drawing too much attention.
‘Okay? How do we do that, it’s going to take ages,’ Wukong whined in response, his tail whipping back and forth as he sat next to his mate.
Before Macaque could answer the two heard a snap from behind them. Immediately the two turned around, hackles raised and ready to run. However that didn’t happen when they noticed a lone human woman walking through the forest. The two glanced at each other confused as to why there was a woman all alone in the forest, especially a forest such as this one.
“Hey come on, wait up!” A young demoness called out behind her.
Okay so she wasn’t alone. The demoness was small, standing at three foot tall with ankle long black hair that gently floated around her. She was monkey demoness, with light grey almost white eyes and black fur covering the majority of her figure.
“You’re faster than me, you can keep up,” The human responded, pushing some branches out of her way.
“Come on. You don’t have to be mean, Reader,” The demoness whined jumping in front of you with a grin.
“I’m not being mean. And you still haven’t told me why you’re even following me,” you said with a deadpanned look as she walked forwards.
You didn’t hold any fear for the demoness that was clearly superior to you. Both Wukong and Macaque glanced at each other before climbing up a few branches to watch you for a moment. You were heading in their direction, they could get the demoness’s help back to the Mountain.
As you were getting closer however suddenly your foot snagged on a root and you went toppling forwards with a yelp. The monkeys couldn’t help but laugh at your expense as dirt and mud covered your face.
The demoness chuckled her tail swaying back and forth as she jumped to walk next to you. Getting closer the two noticed that you were wearing, very strange clothing. Dark blue pants that hugged her legs, a black top that barely covered her shoulders and strange boots.
“If I had known you would follow me than… Nah I still would have helped you. Anyways Spirit- if that is your name, can you point the way to the closest village?” You asked as you stopped below the very tree that the two monkeys were sitting in.
“Just keep traveling this way. At your rate, we might be able to reach it in the next three days,” The demoness shrugged with a laugh when you whipped your head around with a yell.
“THREE DAYS!? FUCK!” You groaned slapping your forehead.
Wukong and Macaque looked at each other again confused. Why were you so surprised, it’s not like that was a very long trip. Mortals were so impatient, they thought before glancing at the demoness. Just as they were about to try and get her attention, there was a loud screech behind them. Turning they saw a large demon bird. Immediately they stumbled just enough to fall off of the branch.
‘SHIT!’ Macaque chirped but before either of the two hit the ground they were caught in a pair of welcoming arms.
The demon bird went to attack only to flee when it saw Spirit who jumped in front of you with claws and teeth bared harshly. Almost immediately the bird was gone and you were now holding two small monkey cubs who were quickly trying to get out of your hold.
“… What just happened?” You asked looking at the two monkeys.
“Demon birds, gosh I hate those guys. They must have attacked these two, where are your parents little ones-,” Spirit kind of stopped talking as she looked at the two in your arms.
“Poor dears, you’re safe now,” You couldn’t help but mutter as you held them to your chest getting little chirps in return, mostly from confusion.
Humans weren’t nice, especially not to their kind. No humans were either hateful creatures or scared out of their minds. They would attack their kind or run away from them. They never cuddled with the enemy, so what was up with this one? Did she hit her head somewhere?
*Chirp* *Chirp* Wukong calls out, demanding that the demoness get the human to release them. The demoness stared at the two for a moment, nodding her head in what appeared to be understanding. However, she didn’t tell the woman to release them no instead she looked up at her and with a loud voice declared.
“Yeah, I have no idea how to speak monkey. Do you know what they said?” She asked, sweat dropping from her brow.
Both Wukong and Macaque stared at her in shock, she couldn’t understand them!? No! NO! NO! This was bad, they were stuck in this form and not even this monkey demoness could help them! Wukong couldn’t help the low growl that soon made its way from his throat. He tried to sound dangerous and threatening, unfortunately for him… But he only sounded adorable.
“SO CUTE!” You cheered pulling the two into a hug, Macaque quickly tried to push you away with his paw.
“Yeah, sure. What do you want to do with them?” The demoness asked with a frown, her eyes narrowing at the two cubs.
You looked at her with a confused expression before what she was asking hit you. She wanted you to decide where you two were going to drop them off. Looking down at them, you noticed them staring at you too. A warm smile covered your face as you pulled them slightly closer.
“We should find their parents,” you said looking back up at her.
“… I don’t think that’s going to work,” She responded with a frown.
You narrowed your eyes in confusion,“Why not?”
“Because they don’t smell like anyone else. There parents…” Her words were wrong, their parents weren’t dead. They never had parents, they were born from a storm and a stone.
“Then we’ll take care of them,” You responded determined.
“Wait… WHAT!?”

Cursed Warlords AU - Chapter #9 - Monkey Bath
Everyone is safe, though several members are quite dirty, including Wukong and Macaque. You decide that it’s long since time they needed a bath, unfortunately they don’t seem to want to cooperate.
Wukong was the first to wake up. He was no longer wet nor was he cold. As he sat up to look at his surroundings he spotted Macaque curled up next to him letting out half sleepy chirps. It was adorable! Wagging his tail he lightly batted at his mate's face only to get his paw batted back away.
About to make a game of it Wukong froze when he heard the wooden floor creak. He whipped his head around to look at you as you crouched down in front of the bed that he and Macaque were laying on. A wide grin covered your face as you reached a hand up only for Wukong to bat it away and growl. His hackles raised as he stood in front of his still sleeping mate. Though with the sound he made his mate soon woke.
“Sorry, sorry,” You muttered taking your hand back and noticing the small faces glaring at you.
While you chuckled you couldn’t help but feel a little disheartened at their hostility. None the less you backed away and gave them space. You could practically feel the eyes that watched your every movement. Their little eyes watched every soft movement you made as you smiled to yourself, they weren’t running away that was a good sign. At least you thought it was a good sign.
“You two could have gotten hurt. You shouldn’t run off like that again,” You said with a calm voice as you looked around the room again.
The room was very simple, with just a bed, and a dresser of sorts. However you didn’t really care about those things except for the fact that Spirit was sleeping in the bed and the monkeys were laying on top of the dresser. Curled up in your shirt, while you stretched in the room with just your jeans and a sports bra.
“Did you know there was a bath in here?” You asked aloud, mostly to Spirit before remembering that she was sound asleep in bed, there was a door leading to a bathroom.
You found this rather odd, because didn’t these kinds of villages have a bathhouse instead of single rooms? You couldn’t quite remember so you decided it would be best to shrug it off for now.
Maybe you weren’t the first to travel to this world, maybe there were others like you who got lost here. It was a possibility, one that you doubted but a possibility nonetheless. Humming to yourself you heard the two monkeys scramble off of the dresser with a soft thud. Turning you peeked your head into the room to see them looking around. You went back to what you were doing as you realized that they had no way of getting out of the room, they were just baby monkeys after all.
You furrowed your brows as you started looked around the bathroom trying to figure it out. Maybe you had to ask for water… You noticed a basin with a large lid on it. How did you miss that? Walking over to it you lifted the lid with a smile. Aha! Water!
While you were busy in the other room Wukong and Macaque were searching throughout the bedroom. They were looking for clues or signs of anything really. How dare a pretty human like you kidnap them, how dare you save them… hold on PRETTY!? They did not just think that, both glanced to their mate and frowned. What was their mate thinking right now?
‘We need to find a way out of here,’ Wukong chirped looking around, surely they could easily get out of the room.
‘Then what?’ Macaque responded his own eyes narrowing as he walked towards his mate.
Wukong looked back at him a frown spreading across his face. Then what? Well obviously they would go home! But by the way his mate was looking at him that wasn’t the response he was looking for, that much was clear. Wukong let out a huff, he didn't want to play riddles today. He knew how this would go, he would tell Macaque what he thought and his mate ever the smart ass would tell him that was a bad idea and try to get him to change his mind and then they would do something else.
‘We can’t waste our time here, we’re trying to find a way HOME. A way to break this CURSE remember. So what’s the point in questioning what we should do?’ Wukong chirped rather annoyed at his mate’s look.
His mate, his moon, his beloved was glaring at him. He sat on the ground having stopped looking around the room his eyes glancing around but for the most part remained watching his mate. He slowly swiped his tail along the ground, his white fur was covered in mud and specks of dirt. He looked dirty, the very thought angered him. His mate should never be dirty not like this, he needed a grooming, a good one too.
Maybe they could put the planning on hold, and just calm down. He didn’t even have to say anything before his mate knew what he was thinking. He always knew what he was thinking. Wukong didn’t really know why, but for the most part Macaque had the innate ability to figure out what someone was thinking. At first he believed it was because of his ears but later figure that wasn’t the case. He was just very, VERY perceptive.
‘If we run out there we could get hurt, we could completely fail and end up DEAD! Do you want to fight our way out of the Diyu in THESE forms?’ Macaque chirped back in annoyance, of course his mate wouldn’t have thought about something simple like that.
Wukong opened his mouth to snap back only to stare at his mate for a moment and pout. Turning away he huffed as he jumped away trying to hide the fact that he did not indeed think about that. Could anyone blame him though? He hadn’t dealt with the concept of death is so long, it had been years and now here he was a defenseless little cub who could possibly be killed… wouldn’t his immortality already be enough to help him.
He was about to bring up this fact to his mate when you walked back into the room. A smile on your face before your eyes landed on the two monkeys, both looked back at you while sitting a few feet away from each other. A nervous look covered your face before you masked it and said words that might have actually terrified the two.
“Let’s clean you two up,” Did you really? Did you really have the audacity to think that YOU had the right to groom the KINGS of Flower Fruit Mountain!?
None of their thoughts were taking into account though as you went to go pick one of them up. Immediately Macaque who you tried to lift up jumped out of the way. At first you were shocked at his speed to move before a determined expression covered your face, these two were absolutely filthy and they both needed a good bath.
“Come on, you can’t go about dirty like this,” You said before trying to grab the cub again, who of course jumped out of the way of your arms.
‘We won’t allow YOU to groom us!’ Wukong snarled as he jumped away from your arms before you could catch him.
A frown graced your face before your eyes hardened with determination, both monkeys noticed the look before running around the room. So now here you were, running to catch one or the other just to get them clean. You’d get barely close enough to touch before they’d jump the other way so you couldn’t.
“Get back here,” You grumbled as you tried to scoop Peaches up but he easily jumped out of your way before you could.
You were about to call him again when you felt a weight on your head, giving a deadpanned look you glanced upwards to see a distinctive purple face marking. Plum had jumped onto your head to mock you, chirping several times. You reached up quickly only for him to jump right before you could do anything to stop him.
“Seriously? What is your problem with getting clean?” You asked as you tried to pick him up again.
The two chirps several things but of course as a human you didn’t understand them. Silently cursing the way that you could understand Chinese almost perfectly when you are here but you couldn’t understand monkey. It would be really useful if you could understand the two in front of you and maybe then you’d be able to figure out what to do with them.
“Come on, if you two help me out by letting me wash you then I’ll get you some food. I know you can understand me,” You spoke up, as you stopped running around and instead choosing to crouch down to look at them.
Wukong tilted his head, food sounded nice… no! He would not let his resolve crumble like this, he is strong and can be as stubborn as he wants- MACAQUE!? Wukong was in shock when Macaque walked up to you and sat in front of you. For a moment you hesitated, not sure if he’d jump away again. When he didn’t you let out a silent cheer and picked him up which immediately got Wukong to let out an angered chirp. He immediately ran up to you and grabbed the bottom of your pants, climbing you like a tree.
“Thank goodness. I’ll try to make this quick for you two,” You said walking back to the bathroom, ready to wash them up.
Macaque wasn’t sure why he did it, there was no reason he should have listened to you a mortal woman… and yet he sat there patiently as you poured a small amount of water over him. Your hands gently picked out leaves and some bugs that you found as you made sure not to miss anything. It wasn’t quick like you originally said, but it was nice calm. You barely pulled at his fur, only pulling a little too hard once or twice.
Wukong was growling and chirping angrily as he swiped at your hands while you cleaned his mate. How dare you! Grooming was only allowed within troops, it was only done with people you… loved. He shook his head, you didn’t love them, why would you love two small cubs like what they looked like? Humans were cruel beings who tried to kill his kind.
“Reader? What’s with all the- you’re grooming them?” Spirit asked as she looked into the room, her eyes filled with shock.
“Yeah… surprised you slept through me trying to get them in here,” You laughed in response.
Spirit didn’t respond to that, glancing at the two monkeys her eyes narrowing in on Macaque. Six… he had six ears, was she seeing things. Rubbing her eyes she opened them again and saw just the single set of ears that she thought he had. Maybe you were right, she needed sleep, is this how you felt after going so long without sleep.
“I’m going back to bed.”
“Alright, sleep well. Peaches can you quiet down? Spirit needs to sleep before we head out again,” You said giving a sweet smile to the monkey and almost immediately the growling seemed to stop. He stared at you, his eyes going wide at your beautiful smile.
He didn’t respond simply continued to stare at you until Macaque chirped at him. He quickly snapped out of it when he noticed his mate’s narrowed eyes, for a split second he could have sworn that his mate was… jealous. No that couldn’t be, well it could be but why should he be jealous of a mortal? Jealous of a powerful potential mate was one thing but you were a weak human who he could make bleed with his almost powerless claws now, even your hand was burned. The same burn that made you wince every time you used it. But the only reason you were using it was because they desperately needed a bath.
“And done, I hope that’s good enough Plum. Now Peaches are you going to let me clean you or are you gonna fight again?” You asked with such a gentle tone, Wukong stared at you before looking at his now perfectly clean mate. This… this was a new low.
Wukong grumbled before hopping over to you and waiting for you to get it over with. A low purr threatening to slip through his throat at your gentle hands. Of course he pushed it down how could he stoop so… so. How could he not purr when you were being so kind and gentle?
Macaque watched the interaction calmly, was that how HE looked when you cleaned him up? A warm feeling filled his chest again, the same small spark that he felt when you saved them. He didn’t want to believe it, there was no way he was going to believe it. He shook his head, it would go away and everything would go back to normal once they broke the curse. His eyes slowly glanced up to you, a concentrated look graced your face as you carefully worked through Wukong’s fur. You were being so careful, as if you were dealing with a delicate cub.
Leaning on his front paws he watched the two of you, jealousy swirling in his chest. Jealous for what? You were grooming his mate, which position did he want to be in? Your position where you were grooming him… or his own mate’s? Quickly he shoved the thought away as you slowly started humming, every now and then. A simple and sweet tune, very quiet and almost non existent but both him and Wukong heard it non the less. It was very… peaceful.
Opinions? Thoughts? Send them my way! I love to hear what everyone thinks about my fanfic!
I am really sorry this one took so long. Work is tiring but I got a day off to do what I want to do!
Loved writing this one though, Macaque might be getting rather jealous of not only the human around his mate, but his own mate! Haha~ Wonder how long I’m going to torture these two before they actually talk… hmm talking with Wukong can be hard though. We’ll see how that goes.

Here’s an interesting idea: what if reader came across an artifact that turned her into a monkey demon like her two warlord husbands and spirit?
So many monkeys!! Gosh you guys like the idea of a monkey reader don't cha? Not that I'm complaining, I like her too. Now let's get to it!
For reference I'm going to use while they're on the journey to the west. Spirit tagging along for part of the journey (for specific reasons, she is not apart of the entire journey but shows up now and then) This is also after Wunkong and Macaque find out Reader is well, Reader. So she's not wearing her mask anymore.
Also possible spoilers… I guess. Now let's get to it!!
>>>>
With every step you walked it felt like you were getting slower and slower. Taking in a deep breath you let out a huff of white steam, it was so cold you could see your breath. With a groan you pulled your thicker clothes tighter around yourself. But not too tightly, you didn't want this big fluffy coat to poof.
You glanced over at Wukong who was almost right behind you, he was scanning around and watching out for any attack. He had become far more concerned with keeping you safe than Tripitaka at this point. You knew it wouldn't be good when he found out who you were. And you were right, their screams still echoed through your head.
Quickly you pushed the thoughts away as you and the group came up to a large mansion. You turned to Spirit who was leading the group, her small stature standing on top of the snow. She didn't sink even through the whole foot of snow. Weather an enchantment or if she was that light it was impressive.
"Would you like something warmer love? You're shivering," Wukong's words suddenly spoke up from next to you. If it were up to him you knew that you’d be wrapped up in his arms.
Looking over at him you gave a soft smile, and shook your head. No you were fine, you were all almost there. However as you shook your head suddenly there was a pair of arms that wrapped around you. Macaque.
"Hey! Let go of her asshole!" Wukong practically snarled before jumping at Macaque, who in turn used a shadowportal to move you two.
You squealed as you and Macaque were suddenly a few feet from where Wukong pounced. Why? Why were these two still at each other’s throats!? You couldn’t even get a word in before Wukong snarled at Macaque again.
“Oh get a grip, you’re fine,” Macaque rolled his eyes before nuzzling his face into your neck for a moment.
Letting out a sigh you grumble, “Will you two please stop fighting?”
You didn’t receive and actual response all you got was a grumble from Macaque and a very loud NO from Wukong. This sucked even after they found out who you were they were still both stubborn and refusing to tell you what they were arguing about. Letting out a sigh you looked over at Spirit who had stopped to turn and watch the argument, insults traded back and forth. You’d be scared it might turn into a fist fight if it weren’t for the circlets on each of their heads.
“Okay enough fun, it’s time to get going,” Spirit proclaimed rather loudly to get their attention.
“Unless you two want to freeze your wife,” Pigsy spoke up more worried than snobbish, though you could still hear his annoyance.
Immediately both Wukong and Macaque looked down at you. You who was wrapped in a large, oversized coat to keep you warm and pulled snuggly against Macaque. You weren’t going to freeze, it was cold sure, but you weren’t going to freeze.
“I’m fine… but can we please go. We need rest from the cold,” You muttered in response before rolling your eyes.
And finally, you were listened to even when you saw Wukong’s tail twitch and his hand curl into a fist. Whatever these two were fighting about needed to get fixed, one way or another. How would you be able to return home and leave them while knowing they were at each other’s throats. It took a minute but they both agreed, Macaque letting you go reluctantly.
Finally, the house was in front of the group, Pigsy almost ran into it with excitement. The lazy pig clearly wanted to rest in the warmth rather than the freezing cold weather. Why Spirit decided to live in such a cold place was beyond you.
“Alright sit back and DON’T break anything. I’ll be right back with some food,” Spirit said as she told everyone to sit in the living room space. Looking around you smiled, it was rather cozy.
“Sit here,” Wukong almost yelled when he spotted a place close to the fire where you would be the warmest and probably the most comfortable, and he gently held your hand as he guided you to the spot.
“Hey, why does she-“ Pigsy of course was cut off by a glare from not only Wukong but also Macaque who bared his teeth. Pigsy was smart and shut up immediately, he was just going to ask why you got special treatment… though it was rather obvious after the incident with The Yellow Wind Demon. He never thought he would see those two so mad.
Tripitaka sat down on the floor along with Sandy, both of which patiently waited for Spirit to get back. Even Ao Lie was brought inside after Spirit loudly proclaimed that he was a dragon-horse and also had a human form. She was small but she could be scary when she wanted to and practically dragged him by the ear to the house where he dutifully transformed as to not break anything and sat next to Tripitaka without another word. Though you could have sworn you saw fear swirling in his eyes.
You wanted to chuckle when you saw that, Pigsy could be such a scaredy cat. He tried to act all big and bad but he didn’t actually like fighting especially when the opponent was equal or stronger than him in strength.
After some time Spirit hadn’t returned so… you decided to go and find her.
“Someone’s being bad~” Wukong purred as he followed behind you refusing to leave you alone in this ‘vunerable’ time. Gosh he could be an ass sometimes.
“I am not. Spirit is just taking a while,” You respond with a pout.
Wukong chuckled at your denial teasing you again about not obeying the rules. You noticed how his eyes kept glancing at your feet, while you had convinced Macaque to stay with the monk you wouldn’t be surprised if there was a shadow clone below you as you spoke.
Looking in different doors you tried to locate the kitchen, there were surprisingly a lot of different rooms. The third door however was one that you probably shouldn’t let your golden mate into. However before you could close the door again he barely slammed it open with one word on his tongue.
“Treasure!” He all but squealed at the mass amount of gems, amulets, artifacts and different items each with power practically radiating off of them.
“Wu-Kong,” You muttered the last half of his name as he bound through the room looking at the shiny objects his tail wagging rapidly.
While he ran around you decided you couldn’t leave him unsupervised. So you followed him into the room, your foot barely nudging something on the ground. Looking down you saw a gorgeous red amulet wrapped in gold chains.
Unlike the other old relics, artifacts and weapons that were set up on display either on pedestals, the wall or the much larger objects on the floor. This singular necklace was laying on the ground. It didn’t make much sense as to why since everything else seemed to have its own perfect location.
You leaned down and picked it up, looking at the golden etching on the front of it. It was an image of a monkey, awe how cute. Suddenly you couldn’t help but itch your arm, as you felt like pricks all over your body. You weren’t sure why until you turned and looked in a mirror. In an instant you screamed bloody murder.
Immediately there was a flash of gold in front of you as Wukong jumped before you. Seeing nothing he whirled around and… he froze. His jaw dropped as he stared at you, his eyes widening in surprise.
Macaque wasn’t far behind, he slammed into the room so fast you jolted. He also stopped his eyes wide before immediately looking at the necklace.
“Are you hurt?” he asked pushing his shock down.
“What the hell happened to me!?” You freaked out looking at your now very furry body. A long tail moved behind you rather uncontrollable, everything smelled stronger and even sounded louder. Your heart pounded in your chest as you looked around Wukong and into the mirror.
Your words were enough to tell Macaque that you were unharmed. Curiously he approached glancing over your form, circling around you.
“You make a beautiful monkie~,” he grinned happily which seemed to snap Wukong out of his daze.
“Stunning! Gorgeous!” He chirped excitedly as he barreled into you.
Wrapped in a tight hug you were still trying to figure out what was going on. You weren’t able to push him off as your head spun trying to figure out what to say or what to do. Your scream seemed to have attracted someone else too.
“Reader!? Are you- what on earth did you do!?” Spirit burst into a fit of laughter at the state of you.
“I don’t know!” You shouted back trying to calm down.
“Hey hey, its okay. You look good,” Spirit responded as she raised her hands hoping not to frighten you. “It’s just the artifact, put it down and the spell will wear off. Eventually.”
Quickly you dropped the amulet but still had a problem. Wukong was hugging you so damned tightly, you barely noticed Macaque seething next to you two. He was about to snap at Wukong when he decided against it. Instead, he opted to hug Reader from behind and glare at his ex-not-ex-husband.
“Relax it’s not permanent. Just be happy you didn’t get the artifact during the spring,” Spirit chuckled as she grabbed and went to put it away. “You look good by the way.”
“Wait what would happen during the spring?” You asked cautiously.
“Hmm? Oh usually monkey demonesses go into heat around that time so yea…”
“WHAT!?”
Guess Reader should be glad that she didn’t get it during the summer. But yeah, the monkeys love her new temperature form. Spirit is mostly indifferent to it because she doesn’t care about how she looks. And while the monkey duo loves Reader in any form they do like to cuddle her new furry form (Though not as much as her normal form) they were just shocked by her new appearance.

For both Warlords, how would you react if reader said “I love you” to you guys
At first, Wukong thought he heard wrong. He was probably wrong...
Wukong: W-what'd you say?
He was nervous, excited, and overjoyed at the very sound of what you said. He needed to know for certain, he NEEDED to hear it again.
Reader: *Blushes deeply*
Wukong grabs both of your shoulders gently and stared into your eyes. He was waiting, as patiently as he possibly could to KNOW what you said.
Macaque on the other hand, Macaque stood back, his eyes wide with shock, His tail wagging happily. Hid eyes quickly softened and he rushed up to you in a blur of black fur turning white quickly. His arms wrapped around your waist, mostly beside you as Wukong was still in front of you.
Macaque: I love you too darling~
Wukong: So she did say it!? You actually said you love us!!
Wukong is absolutely beaming as he wrapped his arms around you, too. He was nearly speechless. He had no clue what to say. He loved you, and you loved him and Macaque. Taking your face in his hands, he kisses you. You barely get a moment of air away from him before getting a kiss from Macaque as well.
Wukong and Macaque: We love you too darling~ and we'll NEVER let you go~
Hope you enjoy! These Questions to the Characters (QTC) are supposed to be short. But I can't garentee all of them will be. And remember these are open for anyone. (I wanted something I can write during my work breaks without having to read through other content of mine to work on it. I thank you Anon for giving me this ask 💗

So uh, I realise I wrote too much again, so like, I don't expect the questions to be answered, I just think in questions and what ifs. I don't expect the questions to be answered at all just go for a general respond to the vibes if u want.
I think you should have Reader go back to her world and the duo try and go after her.
According to JTTW isn't the world in the palm of Buddha or something? Would Reader's world be in the future or an alternate world/palm?
I'm just imagining after they go through all their adventures and grow and mature as people[monkies?], they should get a power of friendship[romance] power boost to go to Reader's world and immediately cause chaos there, with all the drama that is involved.
What would they think about everyone knowing so much about them? Is there a heavenly realm/court thingy they can ransack, so we can have shenanigans of two heavenly courts fighting the duo and each other on what to do regarding the situation?
How would the duo react to meeting Reader's family? Would there be a Sun Wukong and Macaque in Reader's world? How would they react to the Cursed Warlords duo?
What if Reader goes home with them still cursed instead?
Imagine Reader being separated from them because as far as anyone knows, these are wild animals that should live in a zoo or something.
Nobody would believe that the monkeys came from another world, they would just wonder how Reader managed to steal 2 monkey cubs from their parents and habitat most likely across country lines
People probably think Reader is an abusive, cruel, ignorant asshole who probably got them from a poacher or something.
Can u imagine the amount of harassment, hate and vitriol Reader would get, and the monkeys would witness?
And they would only see a bunch of humans, targeting the one human who no matter what tried their best to keep them safe, saying that Reader is a horrible person that they will "save" them from, only to be shoved into tiny cages[carriers] only to be taken into a prison where they are stared at 24/7 with flashing lights from all sides with no privacy[zoo], forced to eat pellets while reader would probably starve before letting them go hungry[fruit has been bred to have too much sugar that it gives animals cavities so zoos don't use them], being manhandled by strangers poking random things into them[vets giving check-up and bloodwork]?
Imagine if they broke their curse after experiencing all of that, oh their reaction to everything:
monkey duo: "ok, there is no way we will leave Reader here, court-napping kidnapping 'rescue' reader plan is a go!"
reader, who only saw them as cubs and was imprisoned shortly after they were separated: "Who tf are you???? Why do these two monkey demons act like they know me??? How did they even get here??? WAIT WHY AM I BEING TAKEN BACK??? WHAT ABOUT THE CUBS?? are these the cubs parents??"
monkey duo, touched that reader still remembers to think about them after all this kerfuffle:"… ok we are definitely going to marry reader, gonna have to shift plans to move it up the schedule"
This had me absolutely busting a gut as I was reading it. The idea would be something that would be fun to play with for sure.
I don’t think that I’ll have them go to her world this early in the Au, but eventually they’ll probably go there because they don’t like her being anywhere that isn’t with them. Well other than Flower Fruit Mountain, as they believe that she is safest there. (Haven’t decided when they actually go to her world yet, or if they’ll go there quietly or if they’ll bust into the place or not)
Now for Reader’s World, I realize it’s something I haven’t really mentioned before. Reader’s world is a modern world, one that doesn’t have demons or monsters lurking around every corner. My thought is it’s just like Earth in this way. I like the idea of Reader’s world being one that isn’t on Buddha’s palm at all, in fact it’s a world that should be impossible for her to leave or travel to. However due to a specific magic that flows through her, she is able to get pulled to and from her world. What magic? Honestly haven’t decided on that yet. But the only way she can control it is with magical artifacts, her magic simply powering the artifact and guiding it to the right dimension. She and two other people are the only ones who can even do this properly, even if her own is a complete accident usage every time.
No there isn’t a Sun Wukong and Macaque in her world. That would be funny true, but with her world being a modern one I don’t feel like it fits.
My thoughts on Reader traveling between the worlds, hehe~ Let’s just say I’ve got a few fun plans for that. Especially when the Monkey Duo can’t do anything about it (At least not for a while). 👀 Heck due to the nature of Reader’s nullification to magic, Macaque can’t even just know when she arrives in their world. They will get rather desperate to get her back on more than one occasion. HA! I am going to make them work for this girl! They want her, they will have to work / fight for her. Though the fighting comes like second nature to them, heck more than second nature to them actually.
On the topic of marriage though, Wukong and Macaque think more along the lines of courting. They just want to court-nap her and mate with her and then she would be their wife by Demon standards. So they won’t really think to have an actual wedding… at least not until they learn about that human custom.
I loved your ideas btw, thank you so much for sharing them with me ❤️
As always if anyone else has any other ideas, then send them my way! I love to hear everyone’s thoughts. Such as this Anon’s who had me laughing so hard I swear my stomach hurt from it.
Just thinking about the monkey duo being put into a zoo was hilarious. The absolute rage Wukong would feel would be something to behold, including the fact that he’d probably tear down the zoo if the curse vanished while he was in it. Reader would be all worried about your monkeys trying to figure out how to free them when suddenly there’s some sort of fire happening at the zoo they were brought to. You would probably fear for the worst.
Until two monkey demons probably enter through your window, ready to take their darling back home.
“How…” Reader gasps as you stared into beautiful golden eyes that stared at you with a love stuck smile.
“Hello Reader~ Are you ready to go home?” Wukong mutters, his tail swaying back and forth like that of a cat.
“Who are you!?” you want to run. The demon in front of you is covered in blood and walking towards you at a rather quick pace, too quick.
“Now, now. We can’t have you running,” Another demon mutters as arms wrap around your waist, seemly out of no where.
Turning you are about to yell when you notice a set of three ears on each side of his head. Immediately your thoughts going to your little monkey cubs as she's picked up effortlessly.
"Ahh! Let me go! Who the heck are you!? Are you Plum and Peaches parents? Is that why you're here? I swear I don't have them, they- they're trapped at the zoo... I didn't do anything to them-" you would get cut off rather quickly.
"Shh, shh we know. We know that you didn't do anything other than care for them. Gotta say being called Plum for months was strange but can't say I hated it," Macaque would whisper in your ear.
As this is revealed to you, a sense of terror washes over you. Slowly you find yourself turning to look at the other monkey demon in the room. The similarities were so distinctive and they were right in your face. You couldn't deny it now.
"Now, let's get you back home. We aren't going to leave you for this stupid world to take care of you. No, they can't take care of you like we can," Wukong mutters, nuzzling his face against your cheek.
You can try to get out of their hold all you like, but you won't succeed with these two. They love you too much to let you go now. You sealed your fate the moment you gave them food, if I'm being honest. Especially with what the zoo tried to feed them.

Cursed Warlords AU - Chapter 3 - Passing Out
You have been traveling constantly since you fought against those bandits. Your body has grown exhausted and you’re now running on fumes.
Macaque sat on the mortal’s shoulder with a huff. She was their current source of food and she was keeping them safe. There was in no way that he trusted either her or her ‘friend’ especially after she had grabbed his mate the way she did. However they didn’t really have much of a choice, so here they were sitting on her shoulders as she followed behind ‘Spirit’.
‘At least we’re going towards Flower Fruit Mountain,’ Macaque chirped to his mate who responded with a huff, his tail half wrapped around your neck to steady himself.
The path they were taking was getting them closer and closer to their home where they would be able to get help from their generals. Loyalty ran thick between their people, so all of them would do anything to help and support Wukong and Macaque when they learned about the curse. Macaque was sure about this.
“Oh that’s pretty,” You’re voice caught their attention as you’re attention was diverted from the road to look at some deep red roses growing from the ground.
Spirit stopped from up ahead and looked at the flowers before chuckling. You were gently touching the petals of the flower bush with a smile spread across your face. After a moment of admiring the roses you stood up and made your way to the monkey demoness. It was odd, why did you feel the need to stop for a single bush?
Macaque tilted his head and looked at his mate who had narrowed eyes as he glanced around. He must have thought the same thing, a human shouldn’t roam alone in the forest especially a forest full of monsters and demons.
“You are strange,” Spirit chuckled as she placed a hand on your back to get you to move forward.
“Not really, I just like looking at flowers. And plants, my mother used to grow flowers a lot of them too. She had this huge garden of flowers in the backyard,” You giggled as you spoke.
Macaque glanced at Wukong who scrunched his nose, why would someone grow a garden of flowers? Were they for medicines? Potions? He shook his head, as he gripped her shoulder slightly tighter as she jumped over a root. She was getting slower, he noticed. The thought annoyed him, she traveled faster than him and Wukong could alone but she was still so slow.
“We need to speed up. Those bandits are bound to try to find us soon enough,” Spirit grumbled as she continued on, her tail swaying gently behind her.
“I know, I know,” You grumbled a pout covering your lips before a yawn escaped.
Macaque’s ears shot up, BANDITS!? A low hiss left his lips as he let the information sink in. They were being followed by bandits, that changed things. That changed many things, it would be better to leave these two in order to protect themselves from the humans they weren’t going to be able to face right now.
‘Macaque, you heard them too right? We should leave before-,’ Wukong seized his chirping as a hand settled on his head with little scratches, a second hand scratching Macaque’s head too.
“Don’t worry Peaches and Plums. We got away from them before, they weren’t very smart bandits,” You giggled stumbling a little as you walked, your voice sounded slower as you kept moving forward.
Macaque processed the words but then soon ignored them in favor of the heavenly scratches that you were giving right behind his ears. He could hear Wukong start purring too having yet to snap out of whatever spell you seemed to settle over them. You were trying to reassure them, it was kind of… cute.
Wukong’s eyes snapped open as both him and Macaque stopped purring seemingly both have thought the same thing. They were letting a human woman give them head scratches!? Snapping his teeth at you, you pulled your hand away with a little laugh. Your smile was so warm as you continued to walk, with Spirit to who knows where.
Wukong let out a small growl, how dare a lowly human touch him. It did feel nice though. NO! He would not be fooled by some human woman! Humans were weak creatures who only existed to get in the way of his goals and for him to get rid of. He thought to himself but found himself staring at this strange woman. If not for the stupid curse he would have never thought twice about killing her.
Grumbling to himself for a second he realized that once again they had gotten slower. He huffed looking at him mate who also looked irritated about that fact. At this rate it might be faster to get to Flower Fruit Mountain by themselves. So much for using this human to get home faster.
Suddenly there was some fruit right in front of him, specifically peaches. Without hesitation he snatched the fruit to devour it only to hear the woman giggle. He looked at her with a glare, his face stuffed with peaches as she handed some plums to Macaque.
“Hurry up Reader, we need to keep moving,” Spirit called back, and for a moment you started moving faster only to slow down soon after as if you’d run out of energy.
Spirit turned to fully look at you a scowl crossing her face as she walked back to take your hand which you accepted graciously. Your foot snagged on a root and you nearly fell on your face causing both monkeys to screech. Spirit caught you easily.
“What in the world is wrong with you right now?” Spirit asked, her eyes narrowing slightly as she tried to pull you closer.
You didn’t explain that you were tired, all you did was giggle. Clearly embarrassed for nearly falling over you pushed yourself forward without another word. Spirit didn’t dare allow you to get too far away from her, more than likely afraid that you would fall again.
“Are you sure you're okay?" she asked certain that you weren't.
"I'm fine, perfectly- AHH!"
"Eek!!" the monkeys shouted as you fell flat on your face, the monkeys falling on the ground with you.
"Seriously? Reader?" Spirit groaned, walking up to you with an annoyed expression.
She leaned over you, before squatting down to look at you closer. She didn’t get a response, and you didn’t move. Frowning she picked up your hand and let it drop, which resulted in a low groan.
Beside you the two monkeys who had fallen onto the ground off of your shoulders jumped back up, each shaking the dirt off of them. Their tails swished behind them angrily as they let out tiny growls. The one you named Peaches jumped over to you, and hissed angrily.
“Reader, we don’t have time for… are you okay?” Spirit’s irritated tone was slowly turning to something more akin to actual worry as you tried to push yourself to stand up.
“I ran out of adrenaline,” You giggled, your words slightly slurring together as you pushed yourself up only to fall back down with a groan.
At this point you were pretty sure the only reason you were giggling so much was because it was the only way you could let your anxiety escape without bursting into tears. With a groan you tried to push yourself up, only to feel yourself get picked up off the ground rather effortlessly. You stared into Spirit's light grey white eyes with confusion when you realized she looked rather annoyed.
"What do you mean?" she didn't put you down and just held you in the air for the moment. Because she was about 6 ft tall, the action made you feel small.
Before you could answer you felt tiny claws on your pants as the two small monkeys climbed up your clothes rather quickly. They both had many words to say too, though you didn’t know the true meaning of the angry chirps that were quickly sounded. You didn’t Have time to even pet them to try and calm them down when Spirit growled.
“Hush you two. I am speaking with Reader,” her words were a low growl as she glared at the monkeys. Peaches did not like the tone she used at all, responding with his own cute growl.
Your vision was starting to blur, everything around you switching between clear images to an array of colors. Your head was also beginning to feel warm as you were set down on your feet. But just as the support on your arms was lifted you fell forward.
‘That… can’t be good,’ you thought as you fell into Spirit’s arms.
“Reader!” Spirit yelled as everything went black. Her voice didn’t sound annoyed this time… heh was she actually worried?
Spirit froze as she watched your eyes roll back and you fell. Wrapping her arms around you she realized you’d lost consciousness. Macaque and Wukong were confused almost immediately as you’re breathing seemed to increase before you fell and then slowed as soon as you were down.
Both of the monkeys had to hold on tightly as Spirit began to shake you trying to get you to wake up. This didn’t work even as she shook you for several minutes, there wasn’t a single moment when you opened your eyes.
*Chirp* *Chirp* Macaque chirped and pushed his head against yours to help wake you up, you couldn’t help them home if you weren’t awake. Seeing his mate’s actions, Wukong followed suit doing the same but you didn’t wake up at all.
*Snap*
Spirit immediately went ridged before scooping you into her arms as she spun to look at the source of the sound. The source of the sound, a large deer that bounded away as soon as she caught sight of them. A sigh of relief left her lips catching Wukong’s attention, she must not be very strong if she was all worried for some small twig.
Wukong felt his fur bristle at the thought, they needed to get back to their clan. They needed to rid themselves of this curse. Before they could do that they needed to get this damned woman to wake up.
“Come on Reader, let’s get you to the village,” Spirit muttered as she crouched down to adjust Reader so she was laying across her back.
