Eclipse Kings
Part Three: Wild Dawn
(Part One: Mountain Monkeys) (Part Two: Barbed Dusk) (Part Three: You Are Here)
(Extra One)
For almost all his life, Sun Wukong had never really known “want”, not for more than the few moments it took to decide he was going to pursue some fleeting and new desire.
The land itself seemed to conspire to his favor- he was borne to a thriving mountain of surplus and luxury, sparkling stream racing down each hill, bountiful orchards with boughs so heavy they dipper near to the earth. Even the horizon was generous, spanning sunrises to color his every lavish breakfast and hosting a banner of glittering stars to lull him to sleep.
He wanted for nothing, because when the world would not bend to his whims, he simply bent it himself- to the end result of power, luxury, and adoration.
His life was fraught with the inevitable turning of blades, stuffed full of motion, conflict, and inevitable triumph. His troop grew by the year, Flower Fruit Mountain knew nothing of suffering, and his treasury was brimming with relics.
A demon crowned eternal king of a flourishing mountain, untouchable and immovable.
What more could a monkey want?
Company, as it turned out. The varied little simians scattered all through the trees and bushes of his mountain were wonderful, of course- he cherished them all like his own children, and doted on each and every one of the little menaces.
But he still wanted more.
—-——————————————————————
“That, little mortal, is when I joined my Sworn Brotherhood!”
The Great Sage Equal to Heaven smiles warmly at his recited memories, claws lightly sifting through a large collection of traditional clothing.
“We were going to lead a siege on that stuck-up realm of Celestials, but my darling moonbeam had an even better idea- why not start our own kingdoms? Instead of teaching those stuffy old fools how to respect us, we could just show them up and take all their little worshipping mortals away!”
You don’t say a word in turn, still bundled up in a fluffy towel, sitting on the nearest chair, idly watching through blank eyes. Since you hadn’t been willing to walk or respond, Wukong had scooped you up with a sigh and hurried off to his and Macaque’s shared changing room, given permission to pick out some old clothes of theirs to give you.
“Of course, all of the stuff that was supposed to be boring was, uh… a total mess. Y’know, like deciding on territories, drawing borders, figuring out taxes—ugh. Mortals do not like taxes. Sure like ‘em better than being eaten by demons, though.” He chuckles at his own words, shaking his head as if to dismiss the unpleasant memories of bureaucracy. Wukong pulls out a black ceremonial robe embroidered with purple thread and holds it up against you, squinting as if he’s considering how it might look.
“…no. My sweet moon wouldn’t like you wearing this.”
“…s’it “too nice” for me?”
“…you mortals really aren’t the best with self-esteem, are you? No, little villager- it’s because he wore something like this when we were married. After that, he started commissioning seamstresses to make him more clothes like that robe… the actual thing is framed in a glass box over our bed. I don’t understand why Mac wanted that, but I can’t ever say no to him…”
Wukong’s voice trails off, tone softening as his gaze drifted to the ceiling. A smile plays on his lips, barely restrained, as he’s replaying his dearest memory of Macaque on repeat. You shift uncomfortably, unsure how to respond, the weight of his affection for his moonlit partner pressing against the silence.
He breaks it himself, but only after walking across the room and popping open lacquered wood chest, breaking the preserving sigil printed across it .
“You know,” says the king, his claws tapping the gleaming pauldron of gold within, “I wore this when we got married.”
He turns to the side, catches the fact that you’ve perked up even a little, and continues.
“It was the nicest thing I owned at the time- most of my outfits were skinned animals and stolen rags. This is something my brothers had given me, so it was the nicest thing I had that wasn’t my staff.”
Wukong’s fingers linger on the golden armor, tone rich with an ancient nostalgia. “I wasn’t one for fancy clothes back then- still coming around to it now- but I was even worse with it back then. I wanted to go in my tiger skirt and my old boots! But my brothers? Oh, they insisted: “You’re getting married- you can’t just show up looking like a bandit on your wedding day!” So they gave me this, and a nice red robe with a ton of silly characters embroidered into it- it’s framed right next to my mate’s robe, now.”
Say something. You need to say something. You can’t just mumble and mutter if you want to stay in a king’s good graces, can you?
“…do you… remember your vows?”
He perks with a smile, intrigued by the random question, entirely missing how dangerously close you are to cracking.
“Well, if that’s want you want to know, how about I tell you about the whole ceremony? Here, I’ll lay out how it went…”
——————————————————————
Macaque shuffles in place for a moment, old meekness returning to him- his hands twitch, and the notes smoothly inked onto the sleeve of his silk robe catch in the light, drawing his aureate eyes downwards. The crowd all around is nervous mortals and drunk demons, dressed in red or black or gold, held at peace mostly by his eager “brothers”. On Azure’s lap and shoulders are several children, more interested in his blade and snout than the ceremony. He’s smiling, more at ease than any other here.
The others for the most part are doing alright. Peng is preoccupied with their drink, casually allowing themselves to be marveled at by a blacksmith and a jeweler- though neither are allowed to touch, both mortals are fervently etching the gilded designs into their paper scrolls. The avian flaps those glimmering wings on occasion, causing streaks of light to flash over the modest venue, catching across the polished tiles.
Yellowtusk sits on a carved stone chair, marking the attendants in a neat ledger, made oversized to fit his hands. Several troops of Long-Tailed and Crab-Eating Macaques play on his trunk and tusks, their little fingers deftly taking hold in the cracks of his thick skin to ascend it. They don’t ever distract him for more than a few seconds, even when the youngest cubs forget their manners and start chirping in his ears.
The largest of their Brotherhood stands at attention in the doorway, toying with the straps of his battle axe. His face is painted with a rarely seen apprehension, looking back and forth over the room on occasion. Sometimes his gaze stills on a veil-shrouded woman with painted lips, and then he smiles for a moment.
The Demon Bull King is not nearly as subtle of a man as he thinks.
Not that it matters- when, for all that (which is very much) his Sworn Brothers know he’s courting a Celestial Maiden, they’ve chosen to keep an oath of silence on the matter.
(“He’s our big guy,” as Wukong had put it during one meeting months ago. “And we want that goofball to be happy.”)
(All of them- even Peng- had toasted to that notion, in the general direction of the bull’s empty chair.)
The mortals are safe. His brothers are content. He can do this.
Once more the dried notes on his sleeve catch Macaque’s attention, snapping him from the venue and to his golden love.
One last time he goes over them, dedicating those practiced words to memory.
He takes a breath, and turns to the audience.
“My mate-to-be is… molten gold, kissed by the rising sun. Beautiful is a shallow word to describe him- he is a masterpiece, a divine work of art carved by the heavens themselves. His eyes hold the all the world’s fire within them, blazing with the brilliance of a thousand sunsets. His laughter is a hymn to freedom itself, a melody I pray to hear every day for the rest of my life. When I look at him, I don’t just see a king, but the very heart of my existence, the axis upon which my world turns. He is my sun, my storm, my sanctuary, my everything.”
Several of the softer mortals are touched by his speech, lifting their cotton sleeves to the very corners of their eyes. Others only lightly clap, still uncomfortable at being called to the union.
Macaque does not have time to look away from before Wukong’s ginger-furred paws clasp onto his shoulders, holding tight.
There are no notes, no hours of reciting, no time spent with helpful Sworn Brothers to listen and offer advice, no matter how snarky- Sun Wukong simply turns from the crowd and offers himself.
“Macaque… I love you. I want you to be my mate forever. Until the sun goes dark.” Wukong's tail flicks behind him, expression softening with a rare blush. "Because... you're part of my story, bud. You’ve always been a part of it. And I'm tired of pretending like I can write the rest of it without you. Be mine forever and let’s be mates.”
The world is blurry, at least to Macaque. Nine and a half seconds prior he had thought there’d be some disappointment to push through, delivered an insincere joke or a vow written by another’s hand.
But there was only been Sun Wukong, love of his life, smiling at him.
“I will be your mate,” he chokes out, “forever. Until the sun goes dark.”
——————————————————————
“We’ve never been apart since then,” he purrs, dragging one claw over a hanfu the color of a sky on a gentle morning, toying with the white sash to untie it. “Not even for a day.”
Before you have a chance to respond, he plucks up the garment and holds it out to you. The size difference between him and the outfit is comical, and you wonder why these two demon kings have it in the first place.
“This should fit you, bud! Here, let’s get that towel off-“
You scream.
It’s not particularly loud or long, or even desperate- but it’s a scream all the same.
Worse still for yourself, you take this hysteric moment to lay on some shaky remand.
“NO! No more! Just stop touching me! I don’t- I d-don’t like it! You’re- you’re twice my size and you keep- you and him are always getting in my face and- a-and putting your hands on me, and I- I’m am so, so sick of it! I am not an o-object! I am a person! I am a person! I-“
“Quiet. Now.”
Wukong’s golden eyes narrow as he stands there, the weight of his presence pressing down on the room like a thundercloud ready to burst. His tail flicks sharply, but his voice remains measured.
…there are tears rolling down your eyes now, lost in the fluffy expanse of the towel around your body, sopping uselessly away as the king takes two footsteps to your form, frowning.
Not that it does anything to settle the rapid beat of your heart, crushed by the newly oppressive atmosphere.
“…you’re scared. I understand that. And maybe my moonbeam and I, we’ve been a little too hands on. That’s on us. But this my pagoda, and I did not build it by hand so that a little guest could yell at me. You know that you’re not a prisoner here. The doors aren’t locked, and there aren’t guards stationed outside them… now. I’ll let you get dressed- alone- and then you can eat. And…
“And no more touching without your permission. Okay?”
“…m’sorry. F-for yelling.”
“…I’m not mad,” he lies, one hand shifting to condescendingly pat you on the head. “I forget- my brothers, and my mate, too- we yaoguai just aren’t the same as mortals. You little things are scared too easily, and break so quickly.”
Something about hearing that is humiliating, but you don’t dare argue with him. Instead, you hunch your shoulders and cling to the towel, sniveling down at the floor.
Wukong’s frown softens the longer he watches you cry, all the sharpest edges of his irritation melting away into something closer to pity.
“I’ll leave it here. Call if you get lost looking for the kitchen.”
His words are painfully curt, and then the king is gone, golden beads and silk robes swishing behind him with each step.
You were never close, and only ever tangentially in the “good graces” of these kings. It’s not like you’ve shattered some precious bond.
But you still feel bad.
You wouldn’t, not usually. But as you unwrap the towel and begin to dress yourself in the lovely hanfu left draped over the chair nearest to you, the aches and pains of yesterday’s chase down the mountain weigh on you, just as MK’s new identity and newer happiness strike a deep point of insecurity- that you simply weren’t good enough to take care of him.
You weren’t good enough to provide for him anymore.
You wanted to believe you were more than them- strong enough to survive on your own, to fight your way through the world with MK in tow. But the truth was harder to face: Sun Wukong and the Six-Eared Macaque were meteoric gods, and you were just a mortal caught in the tides of their myth.
And where MK was thriving in this ecliptic chaos, you instead were already cracking under pressure after only a day spent before the kings.
…there’s a lovely silk pouch, dyed the color of new lavender blooms, hanging from the hanfu- you only notice it after tying the sash into a decent bow. The soft texture grounds your tumultuous thoughts, and a powerful aroma steadily drifts from within.
You fiddle with the tie and open the sash, revealing a dried bundle of orange blossoms tightly tied together, each stem marked with a glittering mystic sigil- 提高.
Whatever scent they would’ve had already was amplified by the marking, causing a heavy flow of fresh floral scent to ooze from the little purse.
You lift it and take a deep breath from the bag, allowing the veil of citrus aroma to utterly cloud your mind, providing it a much needed fog to rest under.
The soothing haze is slow to fade, even after you’ve pulled away and sealed the bag, but eventually you are left with only your steadied thoughts in the ornate chamber, amongst fine silks and polished wood, treasures of centuries past hung casually about It’s beautiful—almost too much so.
A reminder that this world of theirs is not the same of yours.
But you would not stop trying to survive in it.
You couldn’t.

Cursed Warlords AU - Chapter #9 - Monkey Bath
Everyone is safe, though several members are quite dirty, including Wukong and Macaque. You decide that it’s long since time they needed a bath, unfortunately they don’t seem to want to cooperate.
Wukong was the first to wake up. He was no longer wet nor was he cold. As he sat up to look at his surroundings he spotted Macaque curled up next to him letting out half sleepy chirps. It was adorable! Wagging his tail he lightly batted at his mate's face only to get his paw batted back away.
About to make a game of it Wukong froze when he heard the wooden floor creak. He whipped his head around to look at you as you crouched down in front of the bed that he and Macaque were laying on. A wide grin covered your face as you reached a hand up only for Wukong to bat it away and growl. His hackles raised as he stood in front of his still sleeping mate. Though with the sound he made his mate soon woke.
“Sorry, sorry,” You muttered taking your hand back and noticing the small faces glaring at you.
While you chuckled you couldn’t help but feel a little disheartened at their hostility. None the less you backed away and gave them space. You could practically feel the eyes that watched your every movement. Their little eyes watched every soft movement you made as you smiled to yourself, they weren’t running away that was a good sign. At least you thought it was a good sign.
“You two could have gotten hurt. You shouldn’t run off like that again,” You said with a calm voice as you looked around the room again.
The room was very simple, with just a bed, and a dresser of sorts. However you didn’t really care about those things except for the fact that Spirit was sleeping in the bed and the monkeys were laying on top of the dresser. Curled up in your shirt, while you stretched in the room with just your jeans and a sports bra.
“Did you know there was a bath in here?” You asked aloud, mostly to Spirit before remembering that she was sound asleep in bed, there was a door leading to a bathroom.
You found this rather odd, because didn’t these kinds of villages have a bathhouse instead of single rooms? You couldn’t quite remember so you decided it would be best to shrug it off for now.
Maybe you weren’t the first to travel to this world, maybe there were others like you who got lost here. It was a possibility, one that you doubted but a possibility nonetheless. Humming to yourself you heard the two monkeys scramble off of the dresser with a soft thud. Turning you peeked your head into the room to see them looking around. You went back to what you were doing as you realized that they had no way of getting out of the room, they were just baby monkeys after all.
You furrowed your brows as you started looked around the bathroom trying to figure it out. Maybe you had to ask for water… You noticed a basin with a large lid on it. How did you miss that? Walking over to it you lifted the lid with a smile. Aha! Water!
While you were busy in the other room Wukong and Macaque were searching throughout the bedroom. They were looking for clues or signs of anything really. How dare a pretty human like you kidnap them, how dare you save them… hold on PRETTY!? They did not just think that, both glanced to their mate and frowned. What was their mate thinking right now?
‘We need to find a way out of here,’ Wukong chirped looking around, surely they could easily get out of the room.
‘Then what?’ Macaque responded his own eyes narrowing as he walked towards his mate.
Wukong looked back at him a frown spreading across his face. Then what? Well obviously they would go home! But by the way his mate was looking at him that wasn’t the response he was looking for, that much was clear. Wukong let out a huff, he didn't want to play riddles today. He knew how this would go, he would tell Macaque what he thought and his mate ever the smart ass would tell him that was a bad idea and try to get him to change his mind and then they would do something else.
‘We can’t waste our time here, we’re trying to find a way HOME. A way to break this CURSE remember. So what’s the point in questioning what we should do?’ Wukong chirped rather annoyed at his mate’s look.
His mate, his moon, his beloved was glaring at him. He sat on the ground having stopped looking around the room his eyes glancing around but for the most part remained watching his mate. He slowly swiped his tail along the ground, his white fur was covered in mud and specks of dirt. He looked dirty, the very thought angered him. His mate should never be dirty not like this, he needed a grooming, a good one too.
Maybe they could put the planning on hold, and just calm down. He didn’t even have to say anything before his mate knew what he was thinking. He always knew what he was thinking. Wukong didn’t really know why, but for the most part Macaque had the innate ability to figure out what someone was thinking. At first he believed it was because of his ears but later figure that wasn’t the case. He was just very, VERY perceptive.
‘If we run out there we could get hurt, we could completely fail and end up DEAD! Do you want to fight our way out of the Diyu in THESE forms?’ Macaque chirped back in annoyance, of course his mate wouldn’t have thought about something simple like that.
Wukong opened his mouth to snap back only to stare at his mate for a moment and pout. Turning away he huffed as he jumped away trying to hide the fact that he did not indeed think about that. Could anyone blame him though? He hadn’t dealt with the concept of death is so long, it had been years and now here he was a defenseless little cub who could possibly be killed… wouldn’t his immortality already be enough to help him.
He was about to bring up this fact to his mate when you walked back into the room. A smile on your face before your eyes landed on the two monkeys, both looked back at you while sitting a few feet away from each other. A nervous look covered your face before you masked it and said words that might have actually terrified the two.
“Let’s clean you two up,” Did you really? Did you really have the audacity to think that YOU had the right to groom the KINGS of Flower Fruit Mountain!?
None of their thoughts were taking into account though as you went to go pick one of them up. Immediately Macaque who you tried to lift up jumped out of the way. At first you were shocked at his speed to move before a determined expression covered your face, these two were absolutely filthy and they both needed a good bath.
“Come on, you can’t go about dirty like this,” You said before trying to grab the cub again, who of course jumped out of the way of your arms.
‘We won’t allow YOU to groom us!’ Wukong snarled as he jumped away from your arms before you could catch him.
A frown graced your face before your eyes hardened with determination, both monkeys noticed the look before running around the room. So now here you were, running to catch one or the other just to get them clean. You’d get barely close enough to touch before they’d jump the other way so you couldn’t.
“Get back here,” You grumbled as you tried to scoop Peaches up but he easily jumped out of your way before you could.
You were about to call him again when you felt a weight on your head, giving a deadpanned look you glanced upwards to see a distinctive purple face marking. Plum had jumped onto your head to mock you, chirping several times. You reached up quickly only for him to jump right before you could do anything to stop him.
“Seriously? What is your problem with getting clean?” You asked as you tried to pick him up again.
The two chirps several things but of course as a human you didn’t understand them. Silently cursing the way that you could understand Chinese almost perfectly when you are here but you couldn’t understand monkey. It would be really useful if you could understand the two in front of you and maybe then you’d be able to figure out what to do with them.
“Come on, if you two help me out by letting me wash you then I’ll get you some food. I know you can understand me,” You spoke up, as you stopped running around and instead choosing to crouch down to look at them.
Wukong tilted his head, food sounded nice… no! He would not let his resolve crumble like this, he is strong and can be as stubborn as he wants- MACAQUE!? Wukong was in shock when Macaque walked up to you and sat in front of you. For a moment you hesitated, not sure if he’d jump away again. When he didn’t you let out a silent cheer and picked him up which immediately got Wukong to let out an angered chirp. He immediately ran up to you and grabbed the bottom of your pants, climbing you like a tree.
“Thank goodness. I’ll try to make this quick for you two,” You said walking back to the bathroom, ready to wash them up.
Macaque wasn’t sure why he did it, there was no reason he should have listened to you a mortal woman… and yet he sat there patiently as you poured a small amount of water over him. Your hands gently picked out leaves and some bugs that you found as you made sure not to miss anything. It wasn’t quick like you originally said, but it was nice calm. You barely pulled at his fur, only pulling a little too hard once or twice.
Wukong was growling and chirping angrily as he swiped at your hands while you cleaned his mate. How dare you! Grooming was only allowed within troops, it was only done with people you… loved. He shook his head, you didn’t love them, why would you love two small cubs like what they looked like? Humans were cruel beings who tried to kill his kind.
“Reader? What’s with all the- you’re grooming them?” Spirit asked as she looked into the room, her eyes filled with shock.
“Yeah… surprised you slept through me trying to get them in here,” You laughed in response.
Spirit didn’t respond to that, glancing at the two monkeys her eyes narrowing in on Macaque. Six… he had six ears, was she seeing things. Rubbing her eyes she opened them again and saw just the single set of ears that she thought he had. Maybe you were right, she needed sleep, is this how you felt after going so long without sleep.
“I’m going back to bed.”
“Alright, sleep well. Peaches can you quiet down? Spirit needs to sleep before we head out again,” You said giving a sweet smile to the monkey and almost immediately the growling seemed to stop. He stared at you, his eyes going wide at your beautiful smile.
He didn’t respond simply continued to stare at you until Macaque chirped at him. He quickly snapped out of it when he noticed his mate’s narrowed eyes, for a split second he could have sworn that his mate was… jealous. No that couldn’t be, well it could be but why should he be jealous of a mortal? Jealous of a powerful potential mate was one thing but you were a weak human who he could make bleed with his almost powerless claws now, even your hand was burned. The same burn that made you wince every time you used it. But the only reason you were using it was because they desperately needed a bath.
“And done, I hope that’s good enough Plum. Now Peaches are you going to let me clean you or are you gonna fight again?” You asked with such a gentle tone, Wukong stared at you before looking at his now perfectly clean mate. This… this was a new low.
Wukong grumbled before hopping over to you and waiting for you to get it over with. A low purr threatening to slip through his throat at your gentle hands. Of course he pushed it down how could he stoop so… so. How could he not purr when you were being so kind and gentle?
Macaque watched the interaction calmly, was that how HE looked when you cleaned him up? A warm feeling filled his chest again, the same small spark that he felt when you saved them. He didn’t want to believe it, there was no way he was going to believe it. He shook his head, it would go away and everything would go back to normal once they broke the curse. His eyes slowly glanced up to you, a concentrated look graced your face as you carefully worked through Wukong’s fur. You were being so careful, as if you were dealing with a delicate cub.
Leaning on his front paws he watched the two of you, jealousy swirling in his chest. Jealous for what? You were grooming his mate, which position did he want to be in? Your position where you were grooming him… or his own mate’s? Quickly he shoved the thought away as you slowly started humming, every now and then. A simple and sweet tune, very quiet and almost non existent but both him and Wukong heard it non the less. It was very… peaceful.
Opinions? Thoughts? Send them my way! I love to hear what everyone thinks about my fanfic!
I am really sorry this one took so long. Work is tiring but I got a day off to do what I want to do!
Loved writing this one though, Macaque might be getting rather jealous of not only the human around his mate, but his own mate! Haha~ Wonder how long I’m going to torture these two before they actually talk… hmm talking with Wukong can be hard though. We’ll see how that goes.

Unloved Beloved
One person already shared their idea for @itsabouttimex2’s platonic yan AU, “Not The Beloved” (go check it out if you haven’t already) so I’m here to share mine too, inspired by their “Not The Beloved” fic. An ‘what if’ scenario if you will.
warnings: spoilers for lmk season 5, gender neutral reader, child neglect, parentification, favouritism, yandere platonic/familial characters, kidnapping, likely OOC writing.
Following close to canon, Xiangliu was the one responsible for MK’s egg hatching prematurely. Thus, also allowing for the Shadowpeach family to finally have their perfect monkey baby!
One day for whatever reason, Xiangliu ends up on the Flower Fruit mountain. Recognising where he is, he decides to pay a quick visit to the little harbinger that he had set free.
He didn’t have to look for long, as he noticed two small, monkey silhouettes on the beach. Approaching them, he immediately recognised MK, the little ball of sunshine as energetic as ever. He played with who appeared to be another monkey, only somewhat much taller than him in stature.
However, upon closer inspection, Xiangliu realized that it wasn’t another monkey that MK played with. As the young child took off their hood, the demon was met with a pair of innocent, large eyes that stared back at him.
A human.
Curious enough, he approaches you both. Despite your cautiousness about this strange new face, you easily let your guard down once he convinces you that he’s an old friend of Sun Wukong’s.
He quickly learns that you’re MK’s older sibling and Wukong’s and Macaque’s adopted human child. When Xiangliu asks about your parents’ whereabouts, he’s surprised to learn that both of them are away. “And you’re taking care of the little one all by yourself? Your brother sure seems lucky to have such a reliable older sibling,” he comments. He doesn’t miss the way you try to hide your frown and then nod along.
Naturally, Xiangliu doesn’t stick around for too long. He leaves and once your fathers return, you mention your father’s “old friend” visiting and describe him as best as you can.
Not recognising anyone by that description, Sun Wukong and Macaque brush it off as you having an imaginary friend.
As for Xiangliu himself, he had to admit that he didn’t expect for Sun Wukong and his mate to be present at the right time to adopt the future Harbinger of Chaos. Or that the Great Sun Wukong would also adopt a human child beforehand. Knowing the potential risk to his plans if the Harbinger was being raised by the Monkey King and the Six Eared Macaque, the nine headed demon decides to drop by more frequently.
He knew that he couldn’t directly approach baby MK. The fact that Sun Wukong and his spouse were fussing over him would mean that he had no opening for talking to the mystic baby monkey without having to talk to them.
And that’s where you come in like a blessing.
By befriending and gaining your trust first, Xiangliu could indirectly learn more about what the rest of your family has been up to. He’d have to put in a little effort not to be noticed by your fathers, sure, but as long as he could use you to keep an eye on MK’s development under the Great Sage, it’ll be worth it.
In the next few years that follow, Xiangliu has observed the dynamics that were in your family in order to befriend you. To him, it became obvious fast how there was a clear favoritism directed towards the youngest child in the family. Of course, he’d use that distance that your fathers were making to let himself close to you.
Each time you were left alone with MK, Xiangliu would appear. Knowing that your parents considered his existence just as imaginary, he decided to play under that guise. He made sure to always remain friendly towards you and MK, offering to play with you both. The best part of all of it to you was that he didn’t treat you differently than MK.
Along with your friendship with Xiangliu prolonging, he started to notice how your fathers’ treatment of MK started to affect you further into your childhood. He didn’t have to intertwine or even talk to you to see it, since your fathers didn’t have to put any effort in making it more obvious.
Whenever he’d attempt to talk to you alone, you’d have to apologize, saying that you’re too tired to talk. The reasons being going to school and then having to babysit MK. It seemed that your fathers completely forgot how the demon toddler’s stamina was much more vast compared to that of a human child.
And when you weren’t tired, it was during the times that you had your fathers drag you along to wherever MK wanted to go. You never had time to talk to Xiangliu anymore or to even do your own hobbies.
And like a salt to the wound, the demon could also see all the brand new gifts that MK had each time he’d have some time to observe the boy. Compared to him, you still had your hand-me-downs from your Papa. It didn’t help that along with them, patched slits for nonexistent ears and tail remained on those clothes. Like a cruel reminder to the reason for your father’s selfish treatment.
It was baffling how both of your fathers prioritized your brother’s feelings over your being. Your entire existence was limited to wherever your parents decided that MK needed something more.
When you tried to reach out to any other adults or to any other kids about your state at home, you were either brushed off or met with disdain. Other people in your life told you to grow out of it and stop being ungrateful. You were the adopted child of Great Sage and his loyal partner, after all. What more do you want, when you already have what many other children don’t?
The more he watched, the more that Xiangliu started to feel an ounce of remorse towards you. While he watched your social life crumble due to having to put MK’s needs before your own, he started to wonder if he made the right choice by letting the boy be adopted by two enabling monkeys.
One time, he caught you quietly crying to yourself. With no one around, Xiangliu had a rare opportunity to comfort you.
“I hate it! Everyone keeps saying how I should be grateful for being adopted by the great, famous warriors like baba and papa… but-! It’s like they don’t love me. Not as much as MK anyway,” as you sniffle, the demon reaches out to stroke your hair.
His touch is gentle while he watches you with a stern frown.
“You must really hate MK, don’t you child?” Xiangliu asks, “To be completely robbed of your freedom, all because both of your parents prioritize his wishes and needs over your own. That must’ve been so difficult for a child like you.”
As you wipe away your tears, you look at your ‘imaginary friend’.
“I… I don’t,” you admit, “It’s not that I hate MK, it’s just… I-I don’t like how both baba and papa brush me off. When I tell them I’m too tired, I can rest only after all of us go to the arcade that MK wanted to go to. I can’t even play or go to my friends on my own! MK always wants me to play with him or else he’d get upset. And both of them hate to see him cry…”
Xiangliu was quiet as your lower lip started to wobble again. More of your tears fell, making the nine headed demon pull you in a hug.
“It’s not fair, it’s not! Why do they care more about what MK wants? He always gets anything he asks! But I want new things too! Why do I have to work for them and MK doesn’t?!” you wail. “Why is MK their favorite?! I didn’t do anything wrong!”
“Oh, I know, I know, child…”
“It’s not fair, it’s not fair!!”
Feeling his resentment for your family growing, Xiangliu doesn’t say anything. He just lets you cry your little heart out.
Once you’re all tuckered out from crying, Xiangliu has no heart to put you back in your bed. He was still fixated on you, safe and peaceful in his arms. Your tear stained face and swollen eyes were something that he couldn’t look away from without feeling resentment.
As a so-called hero and warrior, he couldn’t help but to laugh bitterly each time Wukong referred to himself as your baba. Xiangliu saw how many clones he summoned to take care of MK the moment the boy got sick with the slightest cold. Yet he nor his partner could spare one glance at you, who was waiting for them while being late to school.
He hated the way Macaque missed your potential over the sake of training MK. While he taught the boy how to shadow travel, he completely missed the way you tried to get his attention by trying to perfect one of his signature moves. He only ever patted your head and told you not to bother with it, while going to then teach and praise MK for trying that exact same move.
It seemed that the privileges from Nuwa never left MK, despite him abandoning his shell. The more he observed the young boy, the more Xiangliu grew bitter.
Because of his parents, the boy is gonna grow up with a need to be a hero. To live up to the ideal that Nuwa and his own parents had set out for him.
All while you were used and left behind, like an unpolished gem meant as a gift for your brother.
He recognised that your brother was attached to you. He might be the only one who pays attention to you, besides Xiangliu himself. But, he is also the reason others miss seeing your true potential. You were still young and unwilling to accept that little MK was the true cause for your suffering.
But, that’s where a demon like Xiangliu can help.
He watched you be sidelined for far too long. Your fathers never gave you a chance to experience what you could’ve been, they just kept you restrained to what you should be for your brother.
Irony of it all was that once long ago, your fathers were the one who rebelled against the whole Heaven. And now, they were keeping their own child in a gilded cage while simultaneously undermining your wants and needs, just like how Heaven did to them.
Just like how Nuwa did to him.
He was done watching you suffer your fathers’ foolishness.
Black tendrils now surround you both, it wasn’t long until Xiangliu had you both teleported from your room. And even so, when he glanced over your unconscious form, you were still sleeping and unaware.
Far away from those disgraceful fathers, demanding younger brother and that tropical prison that you’ve been forced to call home, now with him you’ll finally be free. Soon enough and with him by your side, you’ll be able to reach your full potential.
No matter the sudden change in his plans, Xiangliu knows that having you here with him will prove much more fruitful later down the line. And as for your family and more specifically, your brother….
It was too late for him to fix what’s already been done with MK. But he knows, he’ll be able to help you set yourself free.
By sharing with you the freedom of what only the Chaos can bring.
ending note:
It's been so long since the last time I wrote something. I hope that it wasn’t a boring read, lol.
Also, I should mention, I hadn’t finished watching season 5 so I have yet to see what else is going on, buuut I had to get this fic idea out of my system, so yeah.
Thank you everyone that stuck ‘til the end!

May I ask for lmk Macaque with your list of prompts 59, 57 and 22 :3
Sure! Here's sadistic shadow monkey that follows you around :) I really do love him, lol. Hope you like the plot (It isn't much but I'm sure him learning you have other friends... opens old wounds.)
Yandere! Macaque Prompts 59, 57, 22
"Are those friends of yours? Are they your everything?"
"You're stuck with me, like it or not."
"They never loved you. Only I love you."
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Emotional manipulation, Stalking, Jealousy, Possessive behavior, Clingy behavior, Forced relationship/companionship.
Macaque had recently found a new toy to mess with. He had always been one to mess with humans for his own amusement. Mischief was one of his favorite things.
Speaking of favorite things...
"You aren't ignoring me, are you~?" His voice echoes around you, shadows changing shape on their own. You had grown used to such anomalies recently. Shadows following you around had been something you were dealing with for months.
"Aww, come on, sweetheart! Did you really think I'd just leave you alone? You're far too interesting for that...."
Just like that the shadow monkey manifests, piercing yellow eyes staring into you as he materializes. He has a grin on his face, arms crossed as he circles you. Here he was... your forced companion.
"It's just so boring without you in my sight, Y'know?" Macaque purrs, acting like he ever let you out of his sight. He follows you from the shadows and in animal form. Really... there's no way he ever takes his eyes off you.
Which is why he felt he should 'cut in' when he saw you with a group of supposed friends.
"Didn't even bother to invite me~?" Macaque pouts playfully, dramatic as ever. He then wraps his arms around you, fur tickling your skin as he flicks his tail. He can feel your body tense under his touch, making his grin return stronger. "I thought you loved me~? Aren't we friends?"
Macaque can see your teeth grit at his comment. In response he really rubs it in, nuzzling into you playfully with a sigh. Oh how he loves your little reactions.
"Not now, Macaque." You say, trying to shoo him away but the monkey stubbornly stays. You had just had finished hanging out with your group of friends before Macaque stepped in. So luckily... they didn't have to see you try to shake off a shadow monkey.
"Why~?" Macaque whispers, tail swaying as his grip tightens. "Were those friends of yours?" Macaque coos, circling so he's in front of you. His grin is teasing... but also appears to be hiding something underneath. "Are they your everything?"
"Yes?" You answer, making Macaque lean back and cackle. You glare at him... only to pause when he stops with a serious expression. He looks... irritated.
"Oh, sweetheart..." Macaque purrs, staying close to you. "Do you really think they care about you?"
"Hey, what's your problem!?" You growl, pushing at the monkey as he grips your hands. He grins, holding them up to place on his cheeks with a cruel look in his glowing eyes.
"What? Don't believe me?" Macaque frowns in a growl, playing with your mind. He doesn't like the idea of you having other friends. Really... you deserve so much better.
"Of course I don't!" You hiss, pulling your hands away as Macaque frowns.
"Really now?" Macaque tilts his head before giving a concerned look. "If anyone knew the truth, it would be me!"
You look at him confused, Macaque humming with a nod of his head. He begins to circle you again, occasionally prodding at you affectionately. He loved when you squirmed.
"Don't give me that look, dear! Can't you tell?" Macaque prods, leaning his head against you. "If I can follow you around... Then I can follow them! Which means..."
Macaque notices the hurt in your gaze, leading him to quickly latch onto you.
"Oh, don't worry... that's why I'm here!" Macaque chirps, embracing you. "You look like you're about to cry... it's okay... just let me comfort you~"
Macaque knew how to use his words. He knew just what to say to manipulate others. You, poor oblivious thing, looked like you believed him.
Which made it much easier to lure you in all for himself.
"They never loved you. I heard it myself!" Macaque nods, playing the role of looking genuine as he sees your eyes water. Such a bittersweet look. "Really, only I love you."
"You're lying..." You whisper, the monkey leaning closer to your face.
"I swear I speak only the truth." Macaque whispers, tilting your chin up. "Cross my heart and hope to die."
Macaque observes as you stare ahead, not quite trusting him. He understands, he's a known liar. In fact, he's lying right now.
But your emotions are quick to take over rational thinking.... It's not like you can prove him wrong, right? Maybe your friends really are just pretending.
"I see..." You whisper, Macaque smiling when he realizes he has you wrapped around his finger.
"You never needed them anyways, sweetheart." Macaque shakes his head, humming while he pets your hair. "Seriously, they were so dull."
You can see Macaque stick out his tongue in disgust before returning his attention to you. You swore his piercing eyes dilated as he wraps his tail around you. You couldn't believe this.
"Well, I think it's time I made you feel better." Macaque hums, patting your back playfully before grabbing your hand. "How about we go on a little walk? Get something to eat?"
You look hesitant. Macaque wasn't someone you could necessarily trust. Although... he's been working on getting better lately, right?
It's not like he's hurt you....
"Again with the looks?" Macaque pouts. "Yeesh, the truth hurts, doesn't it?"
You nod and Macaque hums, a grin returning to his face before he pulls you into him.
"Well, come here then!" Macaque sighs, embrace tight against you. "I'll be here to comfort you... maybe even teach them a lesson for you, yeah?"
Macaque chuckles darkly, eyes half shut while he holds you tight against him and presses his face beside your ear.
"After all, You're stuck with me, like it or not, sweetheart."

i’m with this scenario on my head for quite some time now-
what would be wukong and macaque’s (separately) reaction when their human s/o accidentally eats a peach of eternity or just somehow manages to get immortal by accident?
their s/o just stand there (like pomni from tadc when she realizes there’s no escape lmao) while trying to process that now they are immortal and the monkeys trying to comfort them but they are actually celebrating this on their heads
sorry it took so long to answer this!!
sun wukong:
So you were on wukongs mountain enjoying life like usual, until you saw a basket of peaches!
Of course you took one, it wouldn’t hurt anyone after all! It’s just a simple peach!
As you happily ate the peach you saw your love of your life! Wukong.
wukong eyes gazed over the peach in your hand and the basket before his eyes widened with realization.
of course your confused and worried so you ask what’s wrong with a smile.
wukong struggles to form his words before blurting out in one breath.
” you just ate a peach of eternity-“ wukong immediately cringes at your reaction.
you drop the peach, with wide eyes.
you’re immortal now?! What about your family?! Friends?! you stare into the distance rethinking your life choices, wukong walks to you and gave you a comforting hug, unknowing of his relieved smile he had on his face.
now you can’t possibly leave him.
macaque:
(this one is going to be a bit more Yandere)
Macaque asked if you could come over by text, you text him back that you’ll be there in a bit.
once you knock on his door he opens it quickly with a smile.
hey plum! How’s life going?”
macaque chuckles as he lets you in, you answer his question with a small smile of your own.
“It’s been great, at least so far!”
you smile and sat on his couch, macaque eyes held something a bit dark but you ignore it, he’s your best friend after all.
“want some peaches? I cut some earlier and have leftover.” Macaque asks with a smile.
weird, he really doesn’t like peaches himself, but you accept anyway.
you eat the peaches he handed to you with a small smile, it felt like you shouldn’t be eating this to be honest, like a cookie you stole from a jar your parents told you not to eat.
macaque only watches you with a pleased smirk, you ask him what’s wrong, feeling uneasy with his stare.
”oh it’s nothing to worry about..”
you shrug and finish the peach without a care, you place the pleats down before chatting with him unknowingly becoming immortal.
now you can’t possibly leave him, your forever his, macaque thinks with a smile.
sorry if this sucks I’m like writing this at 3 am lol.

Hear me out ..yandere Macaque hcs …seriously love the way you write him ; maybe this reader lost her destiny one or maybe Macaque found reader first before the other monkeys did 👀 love to see what you come up with please 💗 if your not doing requests no worries you can ignore this :)
(Me: People here love this dude...
Destined One: I've noticed that...)
1) When he first met you, he knew what you were and why you were sent there. Of course he knew, because he met so many before you. The only difference was that you were fresh out of the change, unaware of everything that was around and so utterly alone.
It was just so good to be true; the new Bián huá was completely at his mercy, and of course he was ready to take advantage of that.
You were just so adorable, alone, and so afraid, ready to be eaten by the First Yaoguai lucky enough to catch you. And he was, of course, your sworn protector, a monkey that wanted nothing but help you! You just needed to do something for him, helping him find some magical staff that would help you send you back!
He had May lie—just a little.
He just needed to find the relics, take back his full power, get rid of you, and then boom, he was ready to be free...but you changed everything.
The more time he had stayed by your side, the more he became attached. He started to care; he started to crave your attention and your kindness, and soon he carved for more.
He started to make a few changes to his plan, like finding a way to let you live forever, to let him love you like you deserved, to be yours like he wanted you to be his.
If it wasn't for that damn destined one...
Not only had he been searching for you, following that connection you two were supposed to have, but he needed to tell you the truth!
He was able to get the both of you away from that other one, but now he wasn't your beloved friend; now he was on the list that had played all this time.
"YOU TRICKED ME! ALL THIS TIME IT WAS JUST A LIE?!"
"Darling, please...calm down. Let me explain." You smacked away his hand. Your eyes are full of rage and tears.
"DON'T YOU DARLING ME! You said you wanted to help me! You were just playing all along!"
You started to walk away, trying to get more distance from him and yourself...only to feel then his sharp claws clutching your head and crashing you on the ground.
"I am helping you... by doing what I must."
2) He'll take you to your new home...with the right adjustment.
Oh, you can run free as much as you like! Just be careful not to fall from the cliff that surrounded the small mountain that you were on! The air there is amazing, and no one can brother you there! The only bridge that could have helped you cross the precipice has been cut off!
You can't go anywhere, and he's aware of that.
He'll give you time and space; he's not that delusional to believe that you won't scream and try to do some crazy stunt when he's around. He'll bring food! He'll make sure you're okay until he'll be sure that you won't act crazy with him!
But you really needed to give him that cold shoulder after all that time?
You'll ignore him for days. No matter what he does, you just kept your mouth shut and your attention on a wall...
You really know how to push his buttons, uh?
"Came on... I know you can't stay silent forever."
"..."
"Listen, I know this is not your plan of life, but believe me! It's still something! You were complaining about how full and boring your life was before, right? Now you're-"
"Trap ... It was boring, but I was free... and i REALLY don't want to be here with you now."
He gritted his teeth, feeling so many emotions in his chest. Before storming out the door of the house, he takes one time to look at you.
"All right! Let's see how much you'll miss me in a week!"
In fact, for a week, food didn't come at all.
3) He loved your stubbornness and your strength, but now it was just so annoying. Why can't you just give up?!
Stop resisting! Isn't it painful to just suffer?! If you just loved him like he wanted your tò do, then it would be so easy! But nooo, you have to play hard to get it, right?!
And let's not mention the so many escape attempts that you had made! How many times did he have to catch you?! How many times did he have to prove to you how dangerous the world was?! How many times he had to brind you the next monkey head before you understood that no one is omg to save you?!
You kept on biting and scratching his hand while he was dragging you back to the house. It wasn't painful at all. It was just boring... It hurt his heart, on the other hand.
"I don't want to! Stop! LET me go!"
He had enough.
He pushed you on the ground, his foot stomping over your arm. Just near the shoulder.
"What are you?"
"I guess that I was too soft on you." You started to feel pressure on your arm; the pain started to grow second by second. "I need to be harder from now on."
You started to scream, scratching his foot, and punched him, but he didn't bulge a little. He kept on pushing and pushing until
CRACK.
You felt the sound of your bones cracking between the flashes of your arm. Before you could scream in pain, he was already down, his hand on your mouth, and his razor teeth near your ear.
"Does it hurt? Don't worry, I'll make it go away."
The same teeth that were caressing your ear were now deep in your flesh.
A missed arm was a good reminder of what he could do.
4) Were you finally accepting him?
Where have you finally given up?
He didn't want to hurt you, but you were so difficult.
He'll heal you; he'll take care of you like he had promised. Your arm can't come back; it's better this way, but he'll be there, as he had promised.
He'll kiss every scratch and every wound that he has inflicted. He'll make sure you're loved and cherished by him.
"I love you," he whispers, kissing your neck and savoring your scent. "I need more than you think. I'll never let you go..."
Never such sweet words were so full of poison.

Yandere Macaque x Reader ♤♡Romanic♡♤ [M/GN]
TW/CW: Blood (a bit gory), cussing, generally Macaque being extra vengeful and angry, implied kidnapping, slight forced affection
Summary: Macaque watches you from the shadows for years, simply ignoring your monkey king obsession. He pays it no mind until you meet the real Sun Wukong, and he finally snaps.
I love you too much to let you go, darling. My love. My life. You're such a gem.
It all started when you began talking to that golden bastard— that "hero." You never actually met him before, but you were a big fan. It irked me a bit, but I can't fault an innocent creature when they do not know any better. You weren't there. You had no clue what had happened; you were only mortal, after all. It still stung to see your room filled with images of him, but I just sucked it up like I always have to do with those I care about.
But then you met him
Fucking cunt was showing off like he always does— and you adored it. You jumped and cheered when he soared in the clouds. You watched with pure love.
Oh, if you were to take the venom I was spewing in my head whilst encased in shadows as you two laughed together and made it a liquid in a vile to be injected as a neurotoxin, you would be able to kill at least one thousand elephants. How I just wanted to pin that proud piece of shit down and rip up his organs for even considering talking to you, my dear.
And I did. Oh, darling, I tried so hard, I really did. I hate to traumatise you, and I want to burn the heavens down when I see you cry. But I only lasted a couple of months of the agonising torture.
Blood on my hands, seeming into the insides of my claw-like fingernails and the wrinkles on my hands. The taste of iron on my tongue, dripping out my mouth and staining my teeth. I loved to hear him cry. He screamed like the fucking bitch he is. I smiled down at his horribly disfigured face. Not so pretty now, is he love?~
I turned to you, cowering in the corner like a scared puppy. So cute. I picked you up and held you close, ignoring how loud her screams and cries were. If listening to your scream caused me to go deaf in all six ears, then I would simply be happy that the last thing I ever heard was your voice.
I smiled and began to affectionately nip at your skin. You know, heroes already bathe in love every single day. But warriors need love, too. And darling, you are my love. My love.

*Pulls up in the sonic drive through* Uhh- can i have a Yandere! Sun wukong x Reader x Yandere! Macaque? uhh- yeah thats all, thank you!
˗ˏˋ 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐈𝐌 'ˎ˗
𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐋 were you supposed to know that this would have happened, when you had gotten that dumb dating sim. All you wanted to do was play a cool Lego Monkie Kid dating sim that you had found. No, instead you found found yourself running down a dark hallway. Stumbling slightly, you were quick to slip into an empty class room. Looking around, you tried to find a not so obvious spot to hide.
"Fuck.." There weren't many options, but you did noticed a vent.. the screws weren't in all the way...
"Peaches~" Slowly, Wukong walked down the hall. He was searching desperately for you, he didn't want you to slip away from him... Not again..
"Wukong.." He had been reaching for a nearby door, when he'd heard a familiar yet- oh- so annoying voice. Sighing he looked over and there stood Macaque, his arms crossed and his normal smirk being replaced with a frown.
"What are you doing here." Wukong grumbled in annoyance as he turned to face Macaque.
"I should be asking you the same thing."
"I'm searching for something." Wukong gave Macaque a dismissive wave and opened the class room door.
"Your looking for Y/n." Stopping, Wukong looked over his shoulder and at Macaque. He looked at him with a dark glare, slowly letting go of the door handle.
"... Back off..." Wukong threatened.
"I don't think I will." Macaque brushed past Wukong and made his way into the room. He looked around in search for you, but you were no where in sight.
"Hmm.. so she wasn't just running from me.. it's a shame, I could have caught her during her club time..." Macaque huffed in annoyance, looking back at Wukong. Wukong crossed his arms and leaned agaisnt the door frame, his tail flicking in annoyance.
"Maybe if it wasn't for you, I would have caught her already."
You were having a hard time staying quiet. Sure the vent was actually a really good hiding spot, the dust probably not allowing them to smell you.. can they do that? You didn't know and you didn't want to find out. But either way, the dust was making you want to sneeze. Just to add on to how bad it was, you could feel a spider crawling up your leg. It's taking all of your willpower, just to not jump out the vent and slap the damn thing.
'And of course they're still fighting..'
You couldn't help but to be annoyed that the two of them were still in the room. They kept throwing petty remarks and insults at each other. It was getting tiresome and made you just want to shut them up. It was surprising that they weren't trying to kill each other right now. You couldn't help but to roll your eyes at their banter.
"How about this-" Macaque had taken a hold of Wukong's scarf and gotten in his face.
'oop-'
You were surprised by Macaque's sudden movement, and honestly you should be finding a way out the situation. But to be fair, there was no way you were going to crawl through these vents. You have absolutely no clue how people in shows do it, but you aren't looking to get stuck in a damn vent. So with that, you decided to sit and watch, besides the drama would entertain your boredom.
"You and me both know she won't choose between us, it's obvious that she loves us both~" Macaque began and Wukong seemed to have raised an eyebrow at this. He was a bit more interested in seeing where Macaque was going with this.
'I'm literally running from both of you!'
You thought with annoyance, although to be fair.. they were the two love interests you, had interacted with the most when playing the game.
"So why don't we share~" Macaque finished, slowly looking over to the vent. Wukong followed his gaze.. very interested in this new proposal.
"Shit." You muttered out in both fear and defeat, seeing them both look in your direction.
'I forgot about his hearing!'
Yeah, so not only did you have to deal with suddenly getting pulled into the dating sim you played. You had to deal with getting pulled right out of your hiding spot, and into the arms of two lovesick immortal monkey's.
"You can't hide from us~" Macaque whispered into your ear, making you flinch slightly. There was no way you could handle him whispering in your ear like that.
"You belong to us~" Wukong chuckled as I kissed at your neck. Your brain was practically malfunctioning at this point, sure you knew that this situation was bad.. but.. well your a fucking simp still! What the hell were you supposed to do while stuck in-between Wukong and Macaque, who wouldn't stop kissing at your neck.
"I-" You don't even know why you tried to speak, there was no use. There was no way they were going to listen anyhow.
'welp.. this is my life now...'
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
I'm a fucking idiot, my apologies for the lack of updates. I've been trying to sort crap out, finally figuring out how to make a draft on ao3(I'll be posting on there soon-) And doing a bunch of other things in life. I'll try to focus on writing some more. Also I had something else written for this request, I knew where I was going with it. I didn't like it though and just scrapped it, but I'll throw it up anyway. I'm so sorry, I didn't proof read either of these!

𝐁𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐓𝐎 see and interact with ghost was something that ran in her family. Like some sort of psychic ability, an ability she never asked for..
"Why the hell do you love fruit so damn much." She grumbled out under her breath as she looked down at her notebook. Words not in her own handwriting were scribbled across the page. Closing her notebook, she glanced up to see everyone else also seemed to be leaving. Sighing she began to pack her belongings, choosing to ignore the message that had been scribbled across he notebook.
'He'll have to do without peaches for today, I'm far too busy for his antics.'
For who knows how long, she'd been being bothered by two anonymous ghost. The only reason she knew it had been two, is because of the different behaviors and handwriting. One more mischievous and dramatic with neater handwriting and the other a bit laid back and chaotic with messy handwriting. It did help more that whenever either of them wrote anything, they kept it color coded.
"Y/n!" Looking over her shoulder, she couldn't help but to smile seeing one of her more newer friends.
"Hey Nick." Nick now walked besides her and held out a cup of coffee for her to take. She was startled by this kind gesture but gave a soft smile in response.
"You didn't have to you know." She hummed as she carefully took the coffee cup.
"Well of course I had to! You helped me out quite a lot!" Nick protested as he let out a small chuckle.

Fun fact: In China, Chinese criminals were marked on their faces for life. Hot knives cut the flesh of prisoners, engraving characters on their foreheads. Later the ink was inserted into the open wounds to form words like “murderer”, “thief” and etc.
That’s such a morbidly neat fact, and thank your for sharing it with me! It actually got me looking around online, where I found a few articles about it!
It certainly provides some “encouragement” for Y/N to play along with whatever the kings want, after they tried to steal from the royal kitchen- there’s always the threat of a permanent criminal marking on the table.
(They wouldn’t actually do that to a kiddo, but Y/N doesn’t know that.)
Or worse- Y/N has already been punished for their former acts of theft, without the jurisdiction of either king who would have absolutely vetoed the notion of essentially mutilating a hungry child for stealing scraps from a graveyard or windowsill.
MK learning from his loving baba that only “bad people” get these tattoos and growing very, very upset no matter how his fathers try to comfort or soothe him, and for all they remind him that it “only happens to bad people”, it just pushes him closer and closer to the brink because-
“Y/N is not bad,” the boy wails, tears gushing from his big black eyes, sopping uselessly away into his golden father’s robe, both monkeys gently trying to comfort him.
“Shush, shush, shhh… Xiaotian, baby, please! No one said anything about Y/N!” Macaque tries to soothe, bouncing his son lightly.
“You did,” he bawls, kicking his little feet like any other toddler throwing a tantrum. “You did! Y-you said “bad people” have those tattoos! And- and- and Y/N is not bad!”
“Y/N has… someone gave them a penal tattoo?” Sun Wukong queries, unknowingly tightening his grip on the gilded handles of his throne. “…someone gave a starving orphan the mark of a dangerous criminal?”
“…I think we need to take a trip down to the village.”

Warlord Wukong: Hello my Queen
Reader: *Looks around confused when she sees no one other than Macaque and Wukong* I thought he was your warrior- *You manage to stumble out your words*
Warlord Macaque: I am The Monkey King's Shadow, his Warrior and his fellow King.
Reader: But he just called you his Queen.
Warlord Wukong: No I called you my Queen.
Reader: *Stares in confusion* I think you hit your head too hard... I'm not your Queen.
Warlord Macaque: You will be once we get married~
Reader: *Instantly flustered* WHAT!? No I'm not marrying anyone!
Warlord Wukong: Oh our sweet little mate~ You don't really have a choice...
Reader: *Flustered embarrassment turns to fear and anger* Excuse me!?
Warlord Macaque: What my loving husband means is that we are courtnapping you. Once you arrive on Flower Fruit Mountian, you will be our mate and our Queen.
Reader: *Slowly tries to back away but there's no where she can go in the small cave she had found herself in when she woke up after a demon attack*
Warlord Wukong: You'll love it, I promise.
Reader: Listen, I'm sure you're both really nice men, but I'm not interes- Ahhh!
The next thing you know your tossed over Wukong's shoulder. He doesn't care about your kicking and screaming as he carries you away.
Reader: Let me go!
Warlord Macaque: he'll let you go once we get home, love. Until then you should stop screaming it might attract... attention~ And not from those humans you value so much.
You felt a shiver down your spine at the threat. No the warning of the other demons that inhabited the forest that you were entering. They were courtnapping you and there was nothing you could do about it!
Random idea dump. Can't say I'm totally happy with it but I'm sharing it anyways.
Feel free to Reblog if you want to add to this!

A concept has been scuttling around in my head. A reader who is PETRIFIED of storms and their roommate Macaque who can't sleep listening to their whining. Desperately need a comfort fic TwT
I'll take a shot at it!

Macaque didn't necessarily need to sleep, but he liked to. It was a great stress relief, and he needed that after living as long as he has. He drifted off to sleep one night until he was awoken by your screams. I leapt out of bed and slipped into the shadows. It was a demon, for sure, and he was going to make whoever was trying to hurt you pay dearly for even thinking about it.
As Macaque moved from the shadows and into your room, he was confused. No demons anywhere, but you were shivering. It was a trick, it had to be.
"Hey kid," he spoke, "what's wrong?" Macaque asked, swiftly moving to your side and wrapping an arm around you protectively. To say he was confused when you told him it was a severe fear of thunderstorms was a bit of an understatement. The demon had been beaten, betrayed, ripped to shreds, and even enslaved, so he did not understand how anything could fear simple thunder. But you were only human, and he had to remember that.
"Hey, it's just thunder, kid... nothin' to be afraid of." This didn't work, of course, it just invalidated your feelings, but he still couldn't understand. But he wanted to help.
"Look, how about I keep you nice and warm and safe tonight, okay sunshine?" He teased, collecting you in his arms as best he could. The demon snuggled up to you in the bed and heard your fearful whimpers as thunder wracked the sky and rain pounded against the window. His tail curled up around your leg, "Don't worry. I'll protect you. I love you."
It wasn't common for Macaque to say such a thing, but it warmed your heart just a little bit to have this demonic simian protectively around you, almost as if shielding you for the storm.
