You're so right that Leo is the main villain in CL, because like.....dude is already canonically implied to have a fundamental understanding of what makes people tick, and we've seen in that one episode with Big Mama that he is fully petty enough to play the long game of running circles around someone/just genuinely riling them up until he breaks them down or otherwise manages to get a response out of them (which I think was why he kind of fell back into little shit behavior during the movie for a time BUT WE CAN TALK ABOUT THAT LATER). He may not be as in tune with emotions as Mikey is, but he understands people.

And CL explores what would happen if you took the moralistic side of that personality trait away from him. I've always kind of maintained that Leo would genuinely make for a terrifying villain if he had less of a strict moral code, but CL!Leo really......showcases that to an extreme. He's really the first one to be overtly nasty towards Donnie, and even when Donnie questions it he immediately gaslight gatekeep girlbosses the shit out of him in such a ruthless way that it completely undermines his confidence from then on out. Watching him during the curse really was like not being able to tear your eyes away from a car wreck or something, it was beautiful and terrible all at the same time.

(Of course, now he's going to have to live the rest of his life knowing about how easily he could break someone down if he tried hard enough, and that's.....gotta be not entirely fun knowledge to be in possession of.)

YES EXACTLYYYYYYY..... like i know donnie loves villainous aesthetics and is occasionally a deranged little freak for fun but i still posit leo would be a LOT scarier as a villain. donnie may be capable of more but i think leo's opportunism and ability to psychologically profile people he barely knows (because he is not super acquainted with big mama at the point of many unhappy returns! they've met, like. what, twice? maybe three times?) and then use that to outwit and play them, even when big mama is established to be conniving,,, tell me that isnt a guy that would be capable of some utterly evil shit

i have decided to be the change i wanna see, so lets do a nice little thing for each other, as a community full of incredible and talented writers. yes this is writer specific only, but thats cause thats where the main problem of people not interacting with creative works lies in this fandom as far as i can tell and have seen people talking about it especially in the last couple of months

and just in general.. leave people comments. leave them asks about their projects. just go over and gush about their work. i know it sounds embarrassing but writers love nothing more than to hear that someone likes what they are doing. if you find a fic that hasnt been updated in forever, comment on it. it might just be the spark the author needs to continue. while kudos and likes are nice, and just as valuable to some, its definitely in the words the people leave for them that matter the most. im not saying this to put pressure on anyone, its just how it is, and i feel like unless people are writers themselves, and even then sometimes, thats just hard to grasp, especially if the writer is a smaller and less popular one who doesnt get a lot of traffic in the first place

i think thats all. just be nice and considered to everyone, reblog peoples works, this post with others add ons and so forth. and if i find anyone talking shit here or at other writers for something they share, you'll be blocked and im probably taking your kneecaps. be fucking nice. we are all struggling here and we need to stick together

7. If you had to write the story from another pov, who would you pick and why?

I've bounced between both the twins and their parents for the fics in that series (plus Elesa that one time). But scrolling through them, Bloody Knuckles from Elesa's pov would be fun. Also, Games to Pass the Time (and Hurt Each Other) from Ingo's could be neat too. I do wanna write more from Mel and Nico's povs sometime. Love writing them so so much. I have been knocking around a few ideas of just them pre-kids stories, but nothing's been written. Maybe one day I'll fight my self-consciousness and actually do something with those ideas

1. What’s your favorite part of writing country submas kids?

Uh, blatant projection. Goofs aside, I miss living in the country. I know it's likely not the most attainable for me atm between not having a license and hating cars as well as general costs, but I would love to live there again. For now, I'm gonna make my fave characters country kids and have fun. Fun thing about being given scraps is that people can do pretty much whatever they want. Love seeing all the slightly different takes on the twins, and this one's mine! Plus, it's easy to write what I know lmao Some of those fics are just quick and easy things for me to write when I wanna write smth but don't wanna spend too much energy.

3. What are you planning on working on next?

Due to who I am as a person and my non-0% chance of adhd, I am constantly bouncing between multiple different things at the same time. I am thankfully able to limit myself to one big project at a time tho lmao Once Temporal Mistake is finished, the next big fic is my still unamed Twin Dragons au. I was rereading what I had done for that last night and I'm really excited to work on that again. For smaller things, I've got a few finished oneshots that'll be posted in the coming weeks and a few almost completed ones. Finished ones include one with Ingo and Gaeric being friends, an angstier one with Ingo, Rei, and Akari, and one that actually has a name called "Reflections". For almost done ones, there's a little kid Ingo and Nico one, "What was Forgotten" the Ingo pov/prequel thing for "Forgotten Beneath the Subway Seats, and an Ingo and Skyla shenanigans one called "Will You Marry Me?" There's a bunch more, but those are the closest to being done lmao
