Their troops are pinned down. Cornered and bottlenecked with no way out. They're almost out of firepower. No aerial support can get through the planet's shield so they're on their own.

Outnumbered and outgunned Jing Yuan thinks he's found a solution.

"You seriously want to take away so many soldiers from defending the line for this?" Jingliu asks.

"I believe this can work. And you're the key to it."

It's long, arduous work, but finally, the tunnel is finished. It doesn't matter that the majority of their troops are exhausted from excavating it by hand as to not alert their enemies. It must be several miles long. The knights on the line have managed to hold formation, albeit just barely with the scarce numbers. The stage is set.

It's just big enough for Jingliu to run through comfortably and no bigger. As dawn breaks and the fiercest of the fighting continues on the surface the plan is set in motion.

Jing Yuan and the rest keep the abominations occupied on the surface. Then, seemingly out of nowhere icy death emerges from behind, slaughtering most of the enemies troops before they could know what hit them. When they finally did catch on and there were too many swarming back at Jingliu she fell back, escaping back through the tunnel with the abominations a few leagues behind her. This was the second part of the plan. Soon as she was safely outside again the bombs planted in the tunnel were activated, collapsing the earth in on the last of the abominations.

Another victory for the Cloud Knights.

...I only just discovered a flaw in my data of "all the songs I listened to" that doesn't really cause any problems in reality, but is pretty fucking funny.

Songs with the same title get counted as the same even if they have different artists.

You'd think, oh, surely that never happens, right? Well it actually has happened at least twice!

This is mostly funny to me because of Jerusalem. Those are two... very, very different takes on the classic hymn "Jerusalem", lmfao. I don't think it had even occurred to me before that I had two versions of it in my listening collection. Luckily I didn't listen to either of them enough to give a false reading that "Jerusalem" was one of my top listened songs!

(Also I wanna say that the reason I made artist come up and realised this is that when I try to look at my top 100 most listened songs, I look at half of their titles and go "what the fuck is that? apparently I listened to a song titled 'Moon' 5 times?! who the fuck even is that?")

that question was mainly because

1. he worried he might have been followed when he escaped the people who shot him, therefore possibly putting the reader in danger. since he was badly hurt, he was worried he might have missed something if they had followed him back to their place, and

2. he wanted an excuse to see reader again ;-;

Ahem.. so I’m still alive I guess? I kinda fell off the SF train tbh. It holds such a special place in my heart but it’s not the current fixation so I’ve had so much difficulty writing for it now that I’m writing again. How would we feel about a bit of a blog rebrand and opening up to some other fandoms? Mostly games and anime? I really want to refocus on oc and xreader stuff, tbh. It’s silly but I really love them. i forgot. how much actual pain it instills in me that they rly decided to refer to my boy as 'arisu' instead of alice. 'arisu' is literally just the japanese pronunciation of 'alice'. the series is literally called alice in borderland. WHY are u not referring to him as alice in the subtitles so it's clear that HE is the alice the title is referring to. why would u translate so many things but deliberately choose to use the romaji spelling of alice. it's needlessly confusing & it makes like. looking up content around the show impossible bc everyone also refers to him as arisu instead of alice bc nobody fucking knows his name bc of that shit. i hate u netflix subtitles ur not SHIT
