I'm done w/ the semester so now it's time!! for lloyd to feel shitty about his body !!!

Death in Ninjago is funny because it (by nature of it being a kid's show and them being shown as Legos) can't usually show people being stabbed or killed by weapons. The characters have to die in either one piece or in so many unrecognizable pieces, but that often leads to some horrifying implications.

Like of course we can't show Zane fully blowing up when he dies, but we can have there be nothing to bury other than a piece of his faceplate!

Harumi died in a building that crumbled around her and was resurrected on the ground floor crushed by a piece of the building's support. No blood, so it's a-okay!

The show can fully show Morro's corpse because it's an intact and silly-looking skeleton, but it also implies he died because of a cave-in got him stuck in an area that quickly filled with a highly flammable gas, which would've been an awful way to go.

Lloyd was fully crushed by a door, which is definitely on the list of bad deaths that would hurt like hell. But he's in one piece and gets resurrected, so it's fine; everything's all good.

Or you could be unlucky enough to be Mr. E and be torn into six different pieces on screen. But he's a robot so it's fine.

I love imagining the most tragically evil characters with features that remind you they were once innocent.

Garmadon with dimples, and wrinkles around his eyes from how much he smiles.

Morro with wide innocent eyes and a resting face that looks like a clueless child.

Harumi with rosy pink cheeks and laugh lines.

Arin with bushy brows that furrowed when he was concentrated and glittering eyes every time he’s excited.

And Oni Lloyd with soft green eyes as the rest of him is morphed into a monster no one can recognise.

And its sad to think that during the phase of their life where they were at their worst, when hope was no longer an option and they had to hold their fate and morph it with their own hands, that you could only ever see the shadow of those features.

Yet, when they are given a hand to reach for and a chance to grow and a chance to be the person they really want to be, everyone ends up blinded by the glimmers of a fleeting past they no longer remember. So much stronger, as if the dust was being removed and masks were being broken.

So lately I've been seeing a lot of fanart of lloyd with long hair and the more I think about it the better it is!?

Something that's been repeatedly established about lloyd is the similarities he's had to his father and while its mainly focused on personality it's clear they look alike as well. I mean garmadon and lloyd have the same haircut and it's a hair cut lloyd has for a good chunk of the show making him look really similar to young garmadon because of it. It has also been established that lloyd hates the idea of being like his dad and even gets terrified when he sees his oni form in his reflection because of that fear, which connects it back into his appearance.

This leads me to believe that he'd want to look completely different so he wouldn't have to see his worst fear every time he looks in the mirror. Growing out his hair is an Easy way to do that and it can tie back to his days at darkleys where he presumably got his hair cut the same way every time and didn't have much of a choice considering all the boys got either the same or a very similar haircut.

Lloyd growing it out long goes against both his past at darkleys and his resemblance to his father. This also makes him look more like his mother as a result and while a lot of people hate misako in this Fandom I think the relationship between her and lloyd has a lot of potential and connecting lloyd to his mother's side of the family is something I really wanted to see.

Like imagine misako braiding lloyds hair for him just like the way her mother taught her how too. They quietly talk and catch up with eachother about misako's latest exploration or lloyds new training regimen. It ends up becoming a routine for them every time they get reunited. Because hair holds memories and they want to hold the ones they make together close.

He'll even look more like the FSM!!

Anyways long rant but long-haired lloyd supremacy. Rather it's shoulder length and well kept or absurdly long like jinx's hair from arcane is it will always be famous in my heart.

I think a lot of Lloyds behavior, tone, and mood in seasons 11-15 was driven from what happened to him in the oni trilogy and in Dragons Rising you are seeing a version of him that has healed from a lot of that

I rewatched possession recently and uh my brain has been exploding with ideas

rewatching season 8 of ninjago rn and got to the “reveal” that Harumi is the quiet one and I—I am kinda really disappointed that the ninja figured it out first and revealed it to the audience before her actual betrayal of Lloyd. Because can you imagine the IMPACT? Of the scene with the Oni mask with ZERO KNOWLEDGE that she is the quiet one? Watching the scene now, it’s like…sad because you know it’s coming, but imagine being hit with that out of nowhere?

I feel like it would’ve been even more gut-wrenching.

ive seen everyone talk abt lloyd being a cannibal basing on the real mythology but i never see people talk about how oni are afraid of beans(specifically soybeans)

hc lloyd have an irrational fear of beans so he just avoid them like the plague even the sight of it would make him shivers, the ninja thought it was just his way of avoiding allergic reaction until wu does pretty much the same

i wouldnt say he and wu(and garm) would have allergic reaction but if they accidentally consume it they would pass out for days

Okay but here me out-

It's pretty much agreed on that all the Ninja more or less grew up in different cultures right?

SO like what if they all refer to one thing as a different word, yet they all mean the same thing.

So like the living room for example- I feel like Cole would call it a parlor (bc of his dad) whilst Jay and Zane would prolly call it the main room, as they grew up in small homes. Kai and Nya would prolly call it the living room, as that's what their parents called it (maybe idk). While Lloyd would call it the common space/area (as at Darkley's, the common area was the only neutral truce-y kind of area)

There was a h u g e soda vs pop debate too, dw.

Jay says jimmy's instead of sprinkles, which annoyed the absolute fuck out of Kai for the longest time.
