did he or did he not lose fans then?
I will answer this because this anon actually brings a concrete question to the table rather than just "hurhur but you're a larrie??" (tell me you can't actually refute any of our points…). Anyway this post shows the decrease in Louis instagram followers between the screenshots taken directly after the release of Faith in the Future in Nov '22, when he changed his bio to promote that album and the tour tickets, and now, when he changed it again to mention the current release. But I'm putting that response under a cut because I'm tired of the actual POINT of all this nonsense getting lost in a sea of made up things people insist are important:
There is no rational argument you can make to say that Louis has less fans now than he did 2, 4, or 6 years ago. You don't need a spreadsheet of details you need to USE YOUR EYES! He has gone from filling theaters to filling arenas and stadiums. His second album made a higher chart position than his first album. His festival has doubled in size EVERY year of its existence. And for that matter: his insta post engagement numbers remain about the same (despite the fact that older posts should have way MORE likes due to having been there longer, even aside from follower counts.) SO WHO FUCKING CARES ABOUT HIS INSTA FOLLOWER NUMBER???? Serious question: what does the word "fans" mean if these things aren't what matters? ALL of this quibbling about what he should do to make things better and people can't even see that THINGS AREN'T BAD.
Anyway to address the specific question- (con't......)
NO- HE DID NOT LOSE FANS. HE LOST SOME INSTA FOLLOWERS. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME THING. As I said above, literally what does it mean to lose fans if that number change coincides with him having higher sales, more audience members, and higher engagement than ever before? Whatever he lost ISN'T FANS. I wouldn't be surprised if a significant factor was something like a bot purge, but also yes: I'm sure a lot of casuals followed him around the time of his big album release and later unfollowed him. That's extremely normal because that's how casual engagement works, and why the definition of fan really matters. Louis and his team understand this and have referenced it repeatedly, talking about how lucky he is to have *us* specifically, to have the kind of dedicated fanbase he has, to have the KIND of fans he does who will allow him to do what HE wants. @dogsliampaynedoesntinstagram named the issue of depth vs breadth with regard to fans a long time ago, and pointed out why having DEPTH is so much more important. It's like this- artists who are on top 40 radio have more numbers on things like insta follows, and for a time on sales and tickets. But those aren't FANS- they're people with a casual interest. And as soon as that person isn't being forced in their ears 10x a day, those people lose interest and stop supporting them, stop buying stuff and unfollow, and those artists end up doing the 'opener on the jingle ball' circuit rather than their own tours. One Direction as a whole, and Louis maybe most of all or near to at this point, have something MUCH MORE VALUABLE than that- DEPTH FANS. Louis has fans who will support him even if he takes years to release music, or stops parading around with a pretend girlfriend to stay in the headlines at least once a month, or completely changes his image and genre, and that is UNHEARD OF. It's ASTONISHING and worth SO MUCH MORE. And they get that! THAT is why he always bragging about us, why industry people he works with are always so agog about us, why he will do anything for US- not for randos. He is also growing his breadth- and it's OBVIOUSLY WORKING whatever his follower counts are, but that is always going to be secondary to doing things for THE FANDOM because that is his sustainable business model. That is what keeps him onstage and reaching number one. And not coincidentally, the things they do are also working to grow that- much more valuable- commodity. So the fact that that's exactly what these chuckleheads complain about- that he does things that are just fandom facing or serving rather than everything being aimed at recruiting casual fans- does nothing but betray how completely they, unlike Louis and his team, misunderstand the actual drivers of his (actual, existing, happening) success. Luckily for Louis, he and his team rely on their own data harvesting (they do a LOT of it) and growth metrics (they're off the charts) rather than the smug assumptions of random (mostly quite new to this) fans and the few bitter people leading the complaining about everything Louis does.
#louis promo#all this nonsense about this tag or that tag or this or that number is so getting lost in the trees#when the forest is RIGHT HERE: WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS WORKING#so for now#I'm pretty done with this discussion unless someone actually engages meaningfully with the content of anything I'm saying#rather than just repeating the same things- but he needs to tag more! or the even more boring-#but you're a larry! if you send me a bitchy response that doesnt actually address any points I've made#I will assume it is because I'm right and you have no rebuttal other than to act like a preschooler because deep down you know it#honestly the discourse around this makes me feel a little sad and scared about the state of literacy and reading comprehension#and just general analytical thinking#but I hope its just that no one over 15 spends their time sending hate anons about fandom#if I'm wrong please come engage in actual conversation! but otherwise... let's just... not#blah blah blah#anyway there's a reason Louis is always so afraid no one will be there for him and that he started out solo era playing those radio fests..#because we are IMPROBABLE we are UNBELIEVABLE we are NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN EXPECT OR COUNT ON#and making nurturing and maintaining that his number one priority ALWAYS is extremely correct and smart#actually#I was originally going to be like here are when there were bot purges here are other artists that have seen numbers go down etc#but then I was like WAIT WHO CARES. You're letting these people dictate the conversation... but the premise is stupid#it DOESNT MATTER#depth v breadth

I get violent when people are like "why isn't this plot point explained in the first ten minutes of the first episode of a 12 episode show?" gee I don't know, because A - pacing. B - there would be no mystery, the point of a story is to ask questions that get answered later. C - they get there when they get there! if everything got explained and resolved in the first episode, then there's no point in having 12 episodes unless it's an episodic show.
but folks also don't like episodic shows, they want a season-long storyline, but at the same time they don't, because it doesn't immediately get resolved. make up your minds

How Early Childhood Education Enhancing Learning Objectives?
Tumblr media
Have you ever wondered how early childhood education enhances learning objectives? Do you also think it helps your child? The early years of a child's life are a critical period for development, and parents need to be more careful at this point in life. From birth to age eight, the brain undergoes incredible growth, forming the foundation for all future learning.
Early childhood education (ECE) programs are a branch of education theory that relates to the teaching of children (formally and informally) from birth up to the age of eight. It plays a vital role in nurturing this development and setting children up for success in achieving their learning objectives throughout life.
Learning Through Play: A Cornerstone of ECE
ECE classrooms are designed to be engaging and stimulating environments. Unlike traditional academic settings, a strong emphasis is placed on learning through play. This kind of approach creates curiosity and a desire to explore among young children. Through play-based activities, children develop essential skills in:
Social and Emotional Development
Interacting and engaging in activities alongside peers provides invaluable opportunities for children to develop and refine essential life skills, including communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. Through these interactions, youngsters not only learn to express themselves effectively but also cultivate the ability to work harmoniously within a group setting, navigating various social dynamics with ease.
Cognitive Development
Early childhood education programs provide young children with opportunities to explore fundamental concepts in subjects like math, science, and literacy in fun and interactive ways. Activities such as playing with building blocks, sorting games, and singing songs are all part of the learning process, helping children develop their thinking skills.
Language and Literacy
Being around lots of different words and hearing interesting stories helps kids get really good at using language. Early childhood education programs make sure kids enjoy reading and start to really like books. This is super important because it helps them do well with reading and writing later on.
Physical Development
Active play allows children to develop gross and fine motor skills. ECE programs provide opportunities for running, jumping, climbing, and manipulating objects, all of which contribute to physical coordination.
Beyond Academics: Building the Whole Child
Even though learning math and reading is important, early childhood education programs do more than just teach those subjects. They care about the whole child, making sure they grow up feeling good about themselves and others and really enjoying learning. This means helping kids understand their feelings, get along with friends, and get excited about trying new things. It's about helping them become happy and confident learners.
Building Confidence
ECE programs create a supportive environment where children feel safe taking risks and exploring their interests. This fosters a sense of confidence and a positive self-image, which are crucial for future learning.
Developing a Growth Mindset
Through play and exploration, children learn that mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow. ECE programs help children develop a growth mindset, which is essential for perseverance and academic success.
Fostering Creativity
In this kind of education program, kids are encouraged to use their imagination and come up with different ways to solve problems. This isn't just about finding answers; it's also about getting excited about learning new things and wanting to keep learning as they grow up.
Investing in the Future
Research consistently shows that high-quality ECE programs benefit children. Children who participate in ECE programs are better prepared for kindergarten, achieve stronger academic achievement throughout their schooling, and are more likely to graduate high school. The impact goes beyond academics, with studies showing that ECE programs can lead to positive social and emotional outcomes, with children exhibiting better social skills and fewer behavioral problems.
The Final Note
In the end, hope you understand how early childhood education enhances learning objectives. Early childhood education (ECE) programs play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of a child's learning journey. By focusing on holistic development through play-based activities, these programs nurture essential skills across social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical domains.
They provide a supportive environment where children can explore, make mistakes, and grow, instilling confidence, a growth mindset, and a love for lifelong learning. Investment in quality ECE programs yields significant dividends, not only in academic achievement but also in fostering positive social and emotional outcomes.
As we recognize the critical importance of the early years in a child's development, it becomes evident that ECE programs are essential investments in building a brighter future for our children and society as a whole.

On the topic of the monarchist animals I'm just really curious. What makes the winnie pooh real animals bourgeois? It's not like they own much more than the others. Do they just have bourgeois energy?
(In reference to my addition on this post; https://www.tumblr.com/elodieunderglass/748488762087047168/hold-on-lets-do-this-properly-paddington)
In the post I state that none of the stuffed/toy animals in the Winnie the Pooh series are monarchists, but that the real animals are bourgeoisie. Obviously this is tongue in cheek, but it’s still politically interesting to me because nobody ever reads Winnie the Pooh as an actual book. They just draw depressed Disney Eeyore and think they’ve done something.
Owl and Rabbit are real wild animals that live in the Hundred Acre Wood. The other characters in the story are Christopher Robin’s stuffed animals.
The “real” animals (reasonably) consider themselves to be separate from the stuffed ones, but where it becomes unreasonable is how they assume superiority and how they use this to exert authority.
(A charming response about how the stuffed animals view this: Piglet points out that Rabbit is both clever and Has Brain, and Pooh replies that this is why Rabbit “doesn’t understand anything.”)
Owl is characterised by being a bit of a fraud. The stuffed animals respect him for his presumed education and literacy, but even a preschooler understands that Owl can’t actually read. he actively deceives the other characters in order to maintain a higher social status over them. (Actually, Rabbit’s the most literate character in the Wood.) Owl gains relatively little advantage from this status, apart from his belief that he is superior and the pleasure in everyone deferring to him. A notable theme throughout the written series involves characters approaching Owl for advice, based on his self-made reputation of being wise and thoughtful, and him giving explicitly bad advice, rather than admit that he has no idea how to help. Also, they forcibly give him someone else’s house, in such a way that the actual possessor of the house (Piglet) feels he can’t speak up. Pooh immediately offers to Piglet that he move in with him, which even as a kid felt like an incredibly unsatisfactory solution to having the shyest character’s actual house given away to the character who casually lies about everything just to feel superior.
Rabbit is a grown-ass adult real wild animal. He is the social leader of a massively large family and an extended group of hangers-on (he has fifteen or seventeen close relatives, and the extended Friends-and-Relations are a sort of army); he is the only actually literate person in the narrative, so it is understandable that he feels this (although he also believes Owl can read.) literacy and Brain are considered very important in the Wood.
Rabbit believes in his own superiority and believes himself to serve as a sort of cadet to Christopher Robin. In the series Christopher Robin is the ultimate judge, and a kindly ruler; Rabbit positions himself constantly at Christopher Robin’s right hand and wants to be his enforcer. Christopher Robin, who is five and a fairly distracted God, does not really enforce anything. This does not stop Rabbit from trying to organise the entire Wood. It’s frequently mentioned that Rabbit wants to feel important, he wants to be the Boss. A beautiful, beautiful commentary on his character is when he wakes up feeling “important, as if everything depending on him… it was a Captainish sort of day, when everybody said “Yes Rabbit” and “No Rabbit” and waited until he had told them.” Fantastic!
However, we can see where this leads him. In the first book Rabbit is shown being hostile and actively anti-foreign in his approach to other people. When kanga and roo arrive in the forest - sanctioned by Christopher Robin who has received new toys - Rabbit instantly says they have to get rid of them. Like there is NO friendship in Rabbit’s heart here. There is no “god has placed a new friend in the wood so we have to get on with it.”
Rabbit’s anti-immigration stances are funny, and in-character, and shown by the narrative to be wrong and unfair. But they’re pretty unleashed.
His plan is to kidnap the baby and hold it hostage until the mother agrees to “leave the forest forever and never return.”
This is not a normal response to a new character. It is in fact fucking unhinged. Coming from the most normal-adult real animal in the story, it comes out of nowhere. “We have to eliminate them instantly. Take the baby hostage, blackmail the parent and deport them” Rabbit these are war crimes.
Anyway it’s all very heartwarming as Rabbit learns that he likes Baby Roo. (Their relationship grows warmer as Baby Roo says “yes rabbit” and “no rabbit” better than anyone else.) We never really learn why Rabbit is so violently anti-immigration that he instantly jumps to doing crimes, but it’s possible that he doesn’t like the threat to the status quo. Baby Roo, by deferring politely, thus turns out to be a valuable social inferior for Rabbit’s power base.
But in the next book we also get another new character introduction: Tigger. rabbit does not like tigger. In fact, he stops visiting Roo because Tigger lives with them. Rabbit, frustrated by Tigger’s bounciness, also decides to deliberately trick and bully Tigger in order to make him “small and sorry.” The fact that this comically backfires on Rabbit is part of the Pooh-lore storytelling style, of course, but it’s still something obvious even to the preschool audience - that isn’t how you treat your friends.
In conclusion, due to their hoarding of (social) capital and behaviors that prop up an unjustly unequal social system, I think the real animals in Winnie the Pooh are a bit bougie.

my pre through elementary school experience was kinda funny looking back on it. one of my preschool teachers loved me so much she legitimately called me "my daughter" as a nickname, the other thought I was a demon. my first grade teacher had real personal beef with me because I would correct her spanish pronunciations (I did Not speak spanish at the time but my mother did and I could copy her accent) so she tried to get me diagnosed with behavioral disorders that I did not have. my second grade teacher had real personal beef with me because the books I read in class were "too advanced" for my age so she tried to get me diagnosed with behavioral disorders that I did not have. then I moved towns and my next second grade teacher had real personal beef with me because I said "hell" once so she tried to get me diagnosed with behavioral disorders that I did not have. this time school guidance ran a whole bunch of tests on me and gave back the results "okay she has a 10th grade reading level but she can't spell 'animal.'" I spent the next few years attending the "special ed for low literacy" and "accelerated ed for high literacy" groups at the same time. my fourth grade teacher liked me a lot and expressed this through her love language of "catholic proselytizing."

PRINCE AL STEPS OUT WITH SIMDIAN SOCIALITE
Prince Alistair sure hates being a bachelor!
The Queen's eldest son was spotted on what seems to be a date with another gorgeous woman. His Royal Highness was photographed leaving a seaside bistro with Amarthi Crishan.
Tumblr media
(Above: The two were all smiles during their date!)
Amarthi is a Brindleton-born Simdian socialite who hails from the extremely wealthy Crishan family. Basically a Princess, she hails from a long line of Simdian royals. Her great-granduncle was the last King of Simdia, and although Simdia has since let go of their monarchy in favour of a democratic government, members of the old royal family remain to be widely popular in the country.
Despite her very privileged upbringing, Amarthi paid for her own schooling by working part time as a preschool teacher. She eventually obtained a first class degree in Early Childhood Education form the prestigious Brindleford University. Currently, she works for a charity organisation that focuses on child literacy. She is also quite the mainstay on red carpets and fashion magazines, thanks to her striking beauty and impeccable fashion choices.
Tumblr media
(Above: Amarthi at a red carpet event a few months ago. The socialite stunned in a stylish cream dress and statement jewellery all while showing off a much longer 'do.)
Prince Al was reportedly introduced to Amarthi by a common friend. A palace source claims that the relationship, however, is quite new and "still very casual." The source spills:
"They were introduced a few weeks ago and they just hit it off. They're dating... seeing how things go. It's all very new and still very casual. I don't think they're ready to put a label on their relationship just yet, but they do enjoy each other's company."
"She's very smart, but she's not afraid to be silly. She enjoys a good laugh and has a wicked sense of humour. I think that's what Al likes most about her. Clearly, he likes her and doesn't mind being seen in public with her."
Tumblr media
(Above: Sources claim that the two are still getting to know each other, and their relationship remains quite casual.)
How Prince Al manages to find these smart, gorgeous women, we'll perhaps never know. Perhaps it's one of the perks of being a Prince? Here's hoping this "still very casual" thing blossoms into a real relationship with staying power because they look really good together!
