Sonadow dynamics in different continuities (as per my personal interpretation)

Sonic games: two people who gets dragged into each other time and time again. Rivalry, curiosity, the small moments of unguarded vulnerability, it's all there. One was created to be a perfect being, the other just is. Endless puzzlement ensues.

The dynamic is a bit more antagonistic in the American localization, as opposed to the japanese. Their American selves seem to enjoy getting on each other's nerves. I see more open respect in japanese, as open as two hedgehogs who don't really talk about their feelings can convey anyway. As much as Izuka can insist they'll never be friends, there's is a connection here.

Sonic boom spinoff: they're sitcom arch nemesis. Shame we never got any major arc because the spinoff ended all too soon 💔 very silly but has his place in the sonic universe

Sonic prime: enemies to friends to lovers and that's just because Shadow's got the patience of a saint here. Sonic is capable of being really annoying but their dynamic is definitely one of the highlights in a very flawed series that I still enjoyed

Sonic movies: they're just... They're just soulmates, your honor.

The way Taishin is always trying to get other people to explain to him how he feels, how much he wants a label that fits easily because he genuinely doesn't know how he feels or what words to use and how each label he tries to hold onto seems to crumble in his fingers but leave him just a bit closer to an answer, just a step closer to the realization and understanding that he's fallen in love.

But it's also how Takara has walls that protect him from the world but how Taishin finds a way past those walls even when he's trying to keep them. Taishin tries to stay away and give Takara space and Takara steps in to tell him to stop that, to cross the lines, to come closer, to not look up at him but to see him.

Taishin is the only person who works to see past Takara's wall, who latched onto his kindness and truly believes that he is a good person. That he is the person that Taishin wants to choose again and again, to trust him again and again. And Takara sees Taishin as beautiful as a piece of glasses, reflecting the world back as perfect in a way it isn't, seeing the good in a world that Takara struggles to see any good in at all.

I love them so much.

okay I'll bite, what is 'We Are' about? The gifset of those two cuties has me intrigued :)

Lol, love how I didn't see this for two months, but I really enjoyed 'We Are' so here's hoping you're still interested.

'We Are' is a real lowkey Thai drama that centers on a bunch of college students and their relationships with each other. One of the best things is it doesn't just focus on the romantic relationships but really explores the friendships between the characters and it ends up with a really sincere found family vibe. It's sweet but I thought it struck a nice balance of not being so sweet as to be annoying. There's some drama but never too much and it generally feels relatable. Also, it's fucking funny.

There's four main pairings, although some get more screen time then others. The central pairings that get the most focus are Peem/Phum and Q/Toey. Peem is the main character of the show, basically, so we see a lot of the show from his perspective and the romance between him and Phum is pretty central. It starts out a little rough, a little bit enemies to lovers because they meet when Phum fucks up an artwork of Peem's and Peem punches in the face. They end up being really sweet though, and I genuinely enjoyed watching them figuring each other out.

Q/Toey is the pairing that gets the second most screentime. I really liked them early on but their story suffers some serious pacing issues during the back half of the show. It's my one major complaint about the show, tbh.

Fang/Tan are my babies and I love them and their probably who prompted this ask. Their relationship is so, so well done and so sweet. They don't get a lot of screen time but they're my favorite part of the show and every moment they're on screen is great. Honestly recommend this show just for them, will never be over them.

Chain/Pun get the least amount of screen time, basically only crumbs. They have a great 'pining while almost literally married' dynamic tho which is fun to watch. I've never seen two characters more likely to get fake married for tax benefits while never realizing the other was in love with them the whole time.

And honestly the biggest theme of the whole show is the friendships, the love between this group of people who end up brought together by circumstance and choice and care about and support each other. The side characters who aren't in relationships get a good amount of screen time and even when Fang/Tan and Chain/Pun aren't getting time on screen developing their romances they are there for the friendship scenes.

It's just a very sweet show about growing up and finding friends and family and romance. I highly recommend it.

Chaz Thurman Headcanons

Wrote a bit for the shark boy because he needs more love. Covers three topics: Safe for work, "Chaz Surviving", and not worksafe.

Loves junk food and his go-to meal is the greasiest double cheeseburger he can find.

Pretty bad at cooking, he gets distracted easily, but he’s good at food prep and would work well cooking with someone.

Favorite toppings on a pizza? He’s a meat lover, but he’ll try anything. Swears by anchovies.

Usually pretty casual, but he can turn on the charm when he wants.

He sometimes has a way of knowing what you want even before you do. This can make him pretty manipulative at times, but usually for little things.

He can dance! Not the best with more formal styles but pretty great at improvising or fast dancing.

Chaz can keep his dirty thoughts to himself and tone himself down, but he chooses not to, he has more fun being himself and wouldn’t want to change that.

He’s not going to pay for the date, and will choose to dine and dash over getting the bill.

Absolutely the type to propose with a Ringpop or onion ring.

He can spell decently if he puts the time and effort into it, but when he’s writing quickly all spelling rules go out the window.

Talks his head off during movies, he has opinions that he feels need to be heard, usually on which character he wants to bone the most.

Post-Injury/Near Death (aka: here’s how he could be saved)-

Crimson really needs the money, and when you see the neighborhood mafia is about to kill a handsome and very pathetic guy, you intervene in a way that just makes sense in Greed: by bribing them to let him go. You make him an offer he can't refuse.

Of course, he doesn’t escape unharmed, he gets pretty fucked up actually, and in fact has to spend a good while in the hospital.

Doesn’t like to feel confined to one place, which makes his recovery a lot harder. He has to relearn a lot and get used to living with a prosthetic jaw and teeth.

Drives Chaz absolutely nuts that he can’t talk for a good while, but he gets very good at texting and writing quickly, even if his spelling remains not that great.

Falls hard and fast for the person that paid his way to freedom and is keeping him company in the hospital. If you tell him you’ll let him stay at your place, he’d probably want to marry you right then and there.

Chaz is mostly a Greed boy, but he’d be pretty accepting of moving to a different ring after all that, anything to put some distance between him and the mob.

Though his main driving goal is sex, he does have a romantic side to him, and after his near death experience he resolves to do better with the people he cares about and not go breaking hearts.

Not Worksafe-

Two dicks! Rarely gets to penetrate with them both, but he’s just fine with intercrural sex as well. He's not lying about them being big either.

They’re very, very slightly prehensile. Can’t grab anything but there is more movement control than an imp, hellhound, or other species would have.

Absolutely kills it at foreplay, especially oral, but unfortunately doesn’t engage in it as often as he probably should.

Thinks because he has a big dick that he doesn’t need any sort of technique other than just “pound away”.

That being said, Chaz would be more than happy for you to tie him down and ‘teach’ him better.

He cannot and will not shut up during sex at all, very vocal and also difficult to gag, you’d need a muzzle. Even then, he’d still be making a lot of noise.

Ready to go anytime, anywhere. The type to pull you into the most secluded area of a building for a quickie.

Has no interest in being a dad, so he’s always got condoms with him no matter where he goes, though you’ll have to be in charge of making sure they’re not expired.

Very poor aftercare, the type of guy to just flop over and fall asleep. This unfortunately would be a lot harder to fix than his “jam it in” style.

Secret spot that he loves to have touched? He’s a sucker for belly rubs but you’d have to find that out on your own.

I usually use heroforge to help manifest the ideas I have for my characters so I can get an idea of proportions and aesthetics even personality. Then I draw it or try to draw it. I get way too easily lost in the heroforging sauce sometimes heheh
