Preston Garvey hate is so artificial. It's not his fault he suffers from bad game design - design which has literally nothing to do with his character and is just a badly implemented mechanic, but because players can't see past "another settlement needs your help" nobody realizes that he's a cool and well written character. Preston Garvey they could NEVER make me hate you.

Part of the reason I made this blog was to ramble about my headcanons for Cuilang's body because I cannot stop thinking about it. More under the cut!

Hair: I stole the material from one of @kardia-library-official's fics. I think he was originally created to have a more androgynous/agender look and adapted a more masculine look after having more time to develop an identity. Transmasc Cuilang real is what I'm saying

Skin: I think his master originally had his face being entirely out of wood, but a synthetic skin covering helped to make his expressions to look more natural. This is also how he is able to blush, there's some lights under his face. Eyes: No notes on the drawing but they're glass! The pupil area (where you can see the gears) let light in, pinhole camera style. Body: Wood (stained with tung oil), metal chassis/skeleton, clockwork underneath. His current legs were made by him, which is why they're a different wood and have less hidden gears. His limbs fall apart more often than his core since he uses them until they're completely worn out. He's made some improvements to his Master's original design, such as adding more flexibility in his feet and adding some doors for easy-access maintenance, but he hasn't gotten the 'realistic human movements' down. Also, his charging port is between his shoulder blades. I love him, please talk to me about Cuilang....

psa from a retail employee but as prices are going up and inventory becomes more limited please just have a little grace with us. we know its sucks. we wish it weren't happening just as much as you do. most of us can't even afford to shop at the stores we work at - couldn't even pre-tariffs. many of us can empathize with the pain your wallet is feeling. we feel it too. we cannot control the prices. if we catch you stealing and don't report it we can lose our jobs. being unemployed is very scary right now at very least and a life ruining event more often than not. be patient with us. be kind to us. we are trying to navigate this really shitty situation just as much as everyone else is but many of us are kept in the dark or given vague answers by corporate when we try to seek them (yes, even those of us that are managers). we don't strive to make your lives more difficult. the backroom does not have a portal to a magical warehouse with more products. if we say we're out and you still find the product on the sales floor congrats inventory was off and you got lucky! we are not omniscient. we are underpaid and overworked and just as worried about the cost of food and living and rent and gas and everything as the rest of you. We'll get through this but only if we don't lose sight of who is really to blame for the state of the current shitshow (hint: it's never the part time teenager running self checkout or the frazzled manager trying desperately to keep a decent staff amid an economic crisis)
