helena bertinelli keeps getting called batfam and i’m done being nice about it.

she will NEVER and i mean NEVER be batfam. she has stated this multiple times in the comics that she’d never want to be apart of it or considered to be apart of it.

if you want a huntress to be considered batfam so goddamn badly— HELENA WAYNE IS RIGHT THERE. she is THE DAUGHTER of BRUCE WAYNE. quite literally apart of batfam by blood!

“she dated dick grayson!” SO DID STARFIRE.

“she fought alongside batman as an ally!” SO DID SUPERMAN AND THE JUSTICE LEAGUE.

“she worked with oracle in birds of prey!” SO DID DINAH AND ZINDA.

“she idolized batman and wanted to be like him!” she didn’t become huntress because of batman and to be like him, she became huntress on her own terms with the help of her body guard, tony angelo.

these are extremely weak arguments that are commonly used in this community for helena bertinelli’s reasoning to being in batfam.

these bring down her character and water her down to be another guppy in batman’s entourage of vigilantes rather than giving her a proper identity.

you don’t see huntress as helena bertinelli, the devout catholic woman with deep catholic guilt and on-again, off-again morals. the SA survivor who still is tortured by the memories that affected her and strives to protect the innocent from such atrocities. the english teacher who loves to teach and would do anything and everything to protect her students.

you see her as another disposable and left to be forgotten “family” member of a nonexistent family and its absolutely disgusting.

reminder that it’s okay to like certain media even if the creator is problematic or not the greatest human, or even if you just don’t like them. it’s okay to separate media from source. from show or movie creator, authors or artist. you are allowed to like what you like. whatever brings you comfort & joy. do not be discouraged by your interests even when someone else doesn’t agree with or like them as well. also remember that you can separate actor from character, don’t feel bad liking a character even with the actor is garbage. i myself love some characters where i later found the actor is absolute garbage but i still love the character. the character is not the actor. the media is not the creator.

Below the cut is info regarding some real life situations & some potential changes in activity. Please make sure you read over it . Put under a cut due to it being a long post.

So , I don't really wanna get into it too much right this second ... but I wanna make sure everyone knows the reason for why my activity might be EXTREMLY SELECTIVE & POSSIBLY SPORADIC .

Some stuff has gone down with our housing situation , & the timetable we thought we would have , just got a lot smaller & things have gotten WAY MORE STRESSFUL FOR EVERYONE HERE THAN THEY NEED TO BE . A lot of things are up in the air right now , & won't likely know more until Monday at the earliest. Going from one month to ... who knows what's going to happen has me very stressed out , & just really fighting to keep my wits about me ,

I won't be closing any of my blogs , but they will all be going to SPORADIC ACTIVITY , with the exception of this one & my Jason Todd blog . I will still be using them , & writing on them ... I just can't devote the time to them while this is going on. ( Anya being the exception because they are a comfort character for me. ) Once we have a plan , & things are figured out ... I'll start bringing them back as I can.

This may also mean that I may be doing a purge of threads to keep my reply load down . I am not gonna stop writing in this time , as it's my stress relief , but I need to make sure I don't get overwhelmed through this process.

Hopefully this will only be for a short time , as I hate having to put these out anyways , but we gotta roll with what the world gives us . I PROMISE , NONE OF MY BLOGS ARE GOING ANYWHERE . I just need to prioritize some other very pressing things too.

UPDATE ON THREADS.

now that i'm caught up with my drafts on here , and have posted my new starter call ... i'm gonna make some small changes surrounding the way i get my threads. up until this point , i have primarily used asks for getting things rolling , and while those are fun for a bit ... i really wanna do more in depth plotting with my writing partners. i want threads that are more than just two people talking. i want some in depth story happening that will take anya further in her story that's still evolving.

so , going forward i will be focusing more on plotting calls , and plotted out threads. I WILL STILL BE DOING ASKS. so if you still would rather do asks , those are totally allowed. i will still be posting memes ... just not as often as i used to.

when liking my plotting calls ... PLEASE HAVE IDEAS AS WELL. i will come to you with my own ideas for plotting when i have one , so please be willing to do the same. even if it's just dynamic ideas that you would like to explore ... it's a place to start off on. we can absolutely build from there and come up with something together. the point is teamwork in coming up with a story that we BOTH want to tell.

thank you again so so much for all the patience while i've been getting back into the writing groove , through all the changes on the blog , and of course loving my murder baby with me. i want to continue writing with each and every one of you and your blorbos , i just need a shift in the content i'm writing , so my muse doesn't become stagnant.

A POST ABOUT STEFAN’S FACECLAIM’S !!

as most of you know i’ve changed stefan’s faceclaim and have went back and forth between a few for a while now. there’s a certain vision i’ve had when it comes to my stefan ever since i incorporated the books and made him from italy instead of mystic falls. l.orenzo z.urzolo was my main faceclaim for stefan for years now, he is genuinely who i envision when i think about my stefan. however, i’ve recently gone back to using paul as stefan’s main faceclaim because lorenzo lacks in resources, unfortunately there’s only one show of his i have screencaps of and all the gif sets of him i’ve reblogged a lot lol. so, now he’s back to being paul as that’s the easiest and most sensible option. duh, since he’s literally stefan in the show. i’ve thought about other actors but nobody has given me the vibe or the same ‘umph’ that lorenzo does. who knows, maybe i’ll go back to him or find someone who satisfies me enough. but until then, paul is the main. of course, i’m still open to using lorenzo for those of you who prefer him.

NOW , ONTO HIS ALT. A.LEX F.ITZALAN.

of course, i’ve thought about using alex as his main, since he’s my only alt that i’ve stuck with. however, i have alex for certain verses because that’s how i see stefan in these certain universes or worlds. alex is who i envision as stefan if he were a normal human or a normal teenager who got to actually live as an eighteen - twenty something year old. alex is his faceclaim for when i have him as a human, or a real young adult.

these verses include : legacies ( was placed in the wrong body ) , the summer i turned pretty , the hunger games, yellowjackets, and chilling adventures of sabrina.

and some verses i still imagine him as lorenzo ( but kind of paul too ) : a court of thorns and roses , star wars, fallout & fourth wing. these ones i’ve been testing using paul, but there’s a part of me that says to use lorenzo for these again, it’s kind of like what i said with alex but looking / being older than the verses i have him as alex but younger than the main ones with paul. basically it’s alex for late teens early twenties, lorenzo for middle twenties and paul for main tvdu stefan. anyway, that’s all for now. thank you guys for sticking by me and my terrible indecisiveness when it comes to how i envision my stefan.

i'm gonna go ahead and put out a main / affiliate call. i don't do these often , but sometimes i like to refresh the list , and with a new blog it just seems like the right time to do so. i will be a little picky about these slots , as i'm starting to focus more on anya's lore and cementing things. certain muses i'll be more strict on making a main or affiliate , but i'm mainly looking for the chemistry between both muns and muses for this one.

FOR MAINS.

will be accepting up to 3 of each canon muses.

will be accepting up to 4 original muses.

requires plotting between us for our muses , but not required to have threads if some are planned.

mains are going to be people i go to first for things like specific plot ideas i have , will be included in some of the edits i make on the blog , will get priority on replies and queues , and will be first priority when liking starter calls and plotting calls.

FOR AFFILIATES.

will be accepting up to 2 of each canon muses.

will be accepting up to 3 original muses.

requires extensive plotting between the two of us for our muses. this is judged on an individual basis , as these are muses that will be referred to in canon.

much like what you would get with mains , affiliates will also get unprompted starters from me when the muse strikes me , will make guest appearances in much of the edits pertaining to anya's canon , as well as be featured in passing in threads where it's allowed. these are people that have really helped shape anya's character ... so i'm going to be pretty picky about them.

Y'all. Always always always talk about the potential side effects that medication can give you.

My doctor never told me that Luxapro can fuck with sexual arousal/orgasms/etc and so I thought there was just something wrong with me. l've been on this medication for 2(3?) years and l've only found out recently the things ive been experiencing might be caused by my medication.

The worst part is, because of how long i've been on the medication, i have a higher chance that this might be permanent.

please please please don't fuck it up like i did. please talk to your doctor. ask questions. ask questions, even if they seem annoyed. ask questions, even if they look like they're in a rush. and goddamn it, if your fucking doctor isn't telling you the fucking side affects of a drug they're going to give you, fucking find a new doctor.
