hi! i have posted a few batcest fics but i was wondering if u had any tips on getting more involved with the community, mostly on twitter. i don't have a twitter acc dedicated to it yet but i follow some accs on my priv (yours included obviously) and the way people add onto threads and talk to eachoter abt it is really exciting. i'm nervous tho because i've never had an acc for something my irl friends aren't into and idk how to get mutuals or if it's okay to reply to tweets from people that don't follow you. i hope this made sense i'm just really scared abt reaching out to ppl

ive actually only been active on the batcest side of twitter for a few months (august was when i got more active and started following accounts)! before i got into batcest i didn't really go on twitter but so many talented people are on there and make such amazing tweets and au's i basically go on there once a day now haha 😄! that's probably because outside of places like discord there's really no concentrated communities or places to interact with people who like batcest in a way that feels more...active? on tumblr you can go weeks or days without every directly interacting with someone. tiktok is hostile to anyone with a brain plus it can show your videos to complete steangers outside of your intended audience which can be....yeah. instagram isnt bad but it would definitely be a weird way to interact. ive heard that facebook groups can be fun but how that pans out with 18+ content is...

from what i can tell most batcest accounts are pretty chill however i'm only speaking from the perspective of tim centric accounts. in terms of things such as "etiquette" there's only a few things most accounts do to sort of identify and differentiate each other.

- if you're following nsfw account or making nsfw tweets be sure to include that in your description whether that means having 'minors dni', 18+, 🔞, your age and an nsfw warning' it varies.

-you don't have to do this, in fact i don't even do it but it might make it easier to find mutuals, and that's to include your favorite ships in your bio as well! mentioning things like jaytim, jaydick, brutim, brudami, etc. a lot of batcest accounts have multiple ships that spread over different characters so them listing it makes it easier for people to see what they're about!

-inluding the link of your ao3/linking your twitter in your ao3 fics is a good way for people to follow your work! a lot of people might recognize your fics if they click on your ao3 fic and you can become mutuals like that!

in terms of how to interact with other accounts i get being nervous!! i definitely was when i first started posting my tim tweets!!! even now when i interact with mutuals i've been interacting with for a while I still get a little nervous sometimes!

but i do have some tips that I think have helped interact with others and keep it fun for everyone!❤️❤️❤️

- if a tweet talks about 2 specific characters or a specific ship and you really like the idea but don't care for the ship don't directly reply to the person saying something like "THIS but with x- instead would be so good!". i know wanting to give recognition for an idea is tempting but it's rude to try and change the intent of someone's tweet.

instead: you can make your own tweet and include something like "just saw someone on my tl talking about x-topic and now i can't stop thinking about y+z in that situation-" that way you're acknowledging the outside source but also not changing the tune of someone else's tweet

- if a lot of people on your timeline are all talking about the same idea and they're all coming out with their own spins and you have no idea who started it that's okay! twitter can be a bit of an echo chamber sometimes and no one's going to go through all their mutuals and find who tweeted what first. plus the very nature of art is that it often repeats itself.

if you want to join in: you can say something like "my tl is full of people about x and let me just say that-"

- emojis are your friend! i use them a lot because i have a hard time reading tone from text and think everyone else might too. when you're reading something it's hard to pick out whether someone is joking or saying something sarcastically without any indicators (ex. /joke /sarcasm at the end of a sentence, wrItInG LIkE tHiS tO MakE suRe someone knows they're being mocked/made fun of).

adding an emoji can really help change the tone of what you're saying making it sound less like you're stating a fact or making a demand or some other misinterpretation.

you can tell there's a few tonal differences between the statements which helps ease the slide of interaction (at least I think so!) by making it clear you're joking or being humorous.

- it's common to see people adding onto each other's threads and while you may be nervous about who is okay with it at first, the general rule of thumb is that on twitter anyone can add on to anyone's thread or respond whether you follow them or not (i don't think anyone will even notice who is following who) but if it does make you anxious you can click on their profile and look at their replies to see if they've replied to other people's threads or been replied to.

you can reply even if two people are already having a convo, you can just split off and start a new one! ive seen and had multiple split off convos with different people from the same original thread who all had different ideas or things to add on.

ultimately a lot of conversations on twitter are people prodding each other's brains for their shared interests and mutuals come about from people seeing that someone has similar interests and is talking about them and so follow because they also like that thing and would love to see more of people talking about that thing!!!

try following people who share a lot of your interests in terms of ships and characters.

mutuals may take a little while (in some cases ive done two scrolls of a person's account and immediatly followed them back without any interaction because we both clearly had the same interests) if you want exact steps of how that might happen you could start with

a. commenting on people's threads. telling them you loved it, reacting to it, sending emojis. etc.

b. send tweets about your thoughts, headcanons, aus, etc. don't feel discouraged if no one likes them yet you're just starting!

c. after you've gotten comfortable with commenting with an account you can start adding more to the interaction, adding on, proposing a direction for the tweet, etc.

these are just a few of the things ive learned and seen and nothing here is fully concrete either so if you feel more comfortable doing something else then feel free!!!

besides in the first conversation i ever had with one of my current mutuals i revealed to them that i'd secretly written an entire fic about one of their tweets even though we'd, until that point, never talked even once 😭

i guess what I'm trying to say is: go for it!! you never know, it might go a lot better than the worst case scenarios you may be thinking of!! ❤️❤️❤️

Cross-Linking Social Media Platforms

Hello!  GmaKelly here again wishing you a Great Day!

Today we're going to learn about Cross-Linking Social Media Platforms.  ie: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.  And how you can Make Money Online utilizing existing Social Media Accounts. Note:  You can use your Exisiting Social Media Accounts, or you can establish new "Business"  Accounts.  However a "new" account will not come with your established following with the Existing Account your already have access to. What is Cross-Posting Cross-posting is the process of taking a piece of content and posting it across multiple social media platforms at the same time. I've heard that there are people that do this manually, one account at a time.  I personally recommend you use a automated plug-in to post to all Social Media Platforms at the same time or at timed intervals, etc. It saves time and energy.  This type of automated plug-in will have automated templates that will format your post to the "rules" associated with each Social Media Platform.

Some platforms allow you to embed links within the content and that doesn’t necessarily count towards any sort of character limit, however others, Twitter for instance, stick to 280-character limits including links. Another example is Instagram, they don’t allow clickable links to be put within descriptions but you can add them within profile bios. publer.io/blog/cross-posting/ I use a WordPress Plug-In, Blog2Social, but there are many available. Most have a "free" version.  I have recently linked my Facebook Account to Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Pinterest.  Yes, you can do that.  The individual platforms have a relationships with each other, keeping your data fresh and in front of your Target Audience. Different people use different platforms.  There is no reason to believe that a person using Instagram also uses Twitter, for instance.  This spreads your Content across a broader audience and provides your Brand exposure. Scheduling Posts You can schedule your posts to post at scheduled times or intervals, or on certain days.  Being able to automate this mundane but very necessary piece of work is amazing.  When scheduling your posts, keep in  mind your Target Audience.  What time do they wake up, look at their phone for todays news?  When do they go on break at work?  What time do they get off?  Maybe they check their Social Media at night before bed.  When they are looking is when you need to be there. Most of the Platforms will have some type of data analysis to advise of you when, and maybe where your Post is being viewed, along with alot of other information that works to your advantage.  You might try this option, especially if, like me, you do your best work at night.  Who is going to see your glorious writing skills and beautiful words at 2am?  Well, I suppose, if your Target Audience is overworked, underpaid nightshift workers you might have something there.  But you get the idea.

Take a minute to review each Platforms rules and guidelines on posting Affiliate links, the size of graphics, the number of words, etc. But then again a good WordPress Plug-in might solve all your problems.   You might try scheduling your Posts, run your posts for 30 days at Plan A times,  the next 30 days switch it up.  Find your best time.  That is probably where the Money is. Assume Assumptions Will Be Made

People will make assumptions about your background based on your name and there’s no real way around that. If you are writing books with Arab characters, people will probably assume you’re representing your own community and experiences. You can be upfront about it by mentioning your background in your author bio and generally in any place where you introduce yourself or talk about your writing. You can also make sure to correct any mistakes that may occur if you are offered opportunities reserved for authors of color, or placed on lists of authors of color. Still, you won’t be able to entirely avoid misleading some people, so it’s up to you to decide whether you’re okay with that.

I agree with the above points. However, I especially want to emphasize what Niki and Shira’s are saying: You can be as well-intentioned and transparent as you wish. It will likely not make a difference. You can no more stop people from forming their own assumptions about you than you can stop them from thinking. Thus, I strongly think the alternative suggestions by Emme below for honoring your partner are worth considering.

Politics of Race and Race-faking in Publishing

Providing my own thoughts from a discussion that Mod Niki facilitated!

Considering how so many people with “ethnic” non-white names must assimilate in order to be seen as palatable for western audiences, I do not feel comfortable with white people doing the inverse, despite any good intentions. Too often we have “racefaking” and intentional deceit when it comes to exploiting opportunities set aside for people of color.

I agree. I don’t think it is realistic to assume that you are operating in a world where the identity suggested to your audience by your pen-name won’t impact:

The likelihood of your being published

Who your audience believes you are

Lastly, from a professional standpoint, you should consider that once your body of work is associated with a given pen-name, it will be difficult to switch should you need to for any reason.

Creating a main character (of SO’s ethnic background) sharing that surname in your story?

These, in my opinion, are much more solid ways to honor people in your writing and allow for a natural progression of explanation (i.e. People will be interested in what you have to say about creating your world, a heartfelt message you have for your SO before you story begins).

I emphasize Mod Niki’s suggestion above, if you did continue to publish under your spouse’s surname. How transparent are you being about your own race? Is your reasoning for writing under an Arabic surname clear to your readers and publishers?

Partner’s Perspective?

You’ve talked a lot about why you want to use your partner’s pen-name for your writing. How does your partner feel about this? If it is known that the two of you are married, anything you write with your partner’s name will also be linked to them in the public’s eye. How do both of you feel about that? Are either of you active on social media? How will you both cope if there is public outcry over the optics of a white, Westerner publishing under an ostensibly non-Western name (I recognize that sentiments might differ between different international markets, but twitter, instagram and tumblr being what they are, let’s not kid ourselves).

As a mixed person who regularly has to be tactful about which identity I present to different audiences, I view this question more as an opportunity to give advice than to tell you what to do, so please take everyone’s responses to heart and then make the choice best for you, your partner and your conscience.

A/N: Hey guys, this is so late and I’m sorry. Just been going through it a little bit but I’m okay. Thank you to those that reached out. I hope you enjoy this.

When Tom was pulled aside by the Russo Brothers when he was filming End Game and was given the plot line of the movie Cherry, Tom immediately thought of you. You were his baby sister that served in the military. Tom was hesitant to take the role of an army medic that has PTSD and struggles with addiction. This character would hit home in a way.

You had been home leading to Tom leaving for Atlanta to film the final Avengers movie, but you left shortly after he did to go back on deployment. Tom was never fully calm when he knew you weren’t home. He constantly worried.

When the Russo’s came to him, they knew he would have to consider everything from career to personal. They knew you served your country. What they didn’t know was that you were already suffering from PTSD. Tom knew, which is why it took him all of filming to give them an answer.

One morning when Tom was talking to you, he mentioned the role and how he didn’t know if he should take it. It discussed heavy issues. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to bring it justice. You encouraged him to take the role. You told him you knew he could do the role. That he was an amazing actor. You included that doing this movie could help start a conversation about mental health and addiction within soldiers and veterans.

Tom remembered the conversation like it was yesterday. Now the trailer is being released and he is starting the virtual press tour. You had just come home right before Christmas. Your Christmas present to your family was telling them you were retiring from the military. Tom was ecstatic at the news. He hated worrying about you when you were gone. He was constantly thinking that the next phone call he got was going to be his parents telling him you weren’t coming home.

A month later, you were currently staying with Tom until you found your own place. When Tom was sent the trailer to Cherry for him to post on his own social media the next day, he brought his computer to your room. He knocked on the door and opened it when he heard a quiet “come in.”

“Hey Y/N?” You looked up from your iPad when he spoke.

“Yeah?” You asked, confused.

“I have the trailer for Cherry. They just sent it over. Want to watch?” He asked hopefully. You could see the slight fear in his eyes, but you didn’t understand why.

“Sure.” You smiled at him and set your iPad on your night stand. Tom smiled back at you and sat down on the other side of the bed. He quickly made it full screen and hit play. He had already watched it so Tom watched you through the corner of his eye. He noticed that when it showed the war scenes, you tensed.

When the trailer was over, Tom slowly exited out and shut his computer screen. “What did you think? They are going to send over the movie this weekend. Figured me and you could make a movie night out of it with the whole family.”

“I liked it. You look like you did a good job so far. I can’t wait to watch it.” You smiled at him. Tom immediately knew you were putting on your fake smile.

“Everything okay?” He asked, concerned.

“Yeah. I just…” You sighed and looked away from Tom. “Just still adjusting to everything. You know that I’m going to therapy, right?”

Tom shook his head, “No, I just thought you were going to mum’s and dad’s.”

“No. I’ve been going to therapy. I’m at three days a week right now. The nightmares are just too much to handle. Then I hear sounds during the day and it just flashes me back to there.”

“I’m sorry y/n/n. You know you can talk to me. I want you to know you can talk to me. No matter what time. I talked with veterans, I don’t know what you went through, but I know it wasn’t good. After playing this character, I don’t want to see that happen to you. Did they prescribe medicine?” He asked.

You shook your head.

“Okay. If they feel you need to, please let me know. I really, really don’t want you to go through addiction. I don’t even want to risk it for you to even get close to addiction.” He said seriously. You knew he was. You didn’t want the medicine anyways.

“I can’t wait to see the movie.” You said with a smile. “But can I ask if we can start it early? I already know, I’ll probably need to pause it and take a minute when it gets to those scenes.” You said. You didn’t even need to specify which ones. Tom knew already that watching the military scenes were going to be hard for you.

“Yeah. We can. And if you want it to be just us, that’s perfectly okay. I can watch it with everyone else the next night.” He said giving you options.

You shook your head to turn down the new option, “that’s okay. I can watch it with them. Just let them know I will need to pause it.” Tom smiled at you and nodded before kissing your head and getting off your bed. Tom left to go show everyone else the trailer. 

After he posted the trailer to his Instagram a few days later, positive comments started flooding his Instagram and Twitter. You scrolled through the comments from Harry, Haz, the Russo Brothers, and more people Tom knew and worked with and like all of them. You were so happy to see them support Tom. He had the right people in his corner.Next you saw a post from Tuwaine. First you scrolled through the photos. They were of Tom as Cherry throughout the different times in the characters life.

It’s funny, cos when I see bae do a role like this, I’m reminded again and again of how talented he truly is. I don’t think the world can look at you the same way once this is out.

He added that the trailer link was in his bio and you smiled. Not many people would do that, but Tuwaine has been one of Tom’s day 1s. You loved Tuwaine like a brother. You couldn’t ask for a better best friend for your brother.

You knew Tuwaine’s words were 100% correct. People saw Tom as a kid. They saw him like he is this sweet, innocent teenager like Peter Parker. He didn’t hate that, but he also hated being seen as a kid. Don’t get him wrong, he loves Spider-Man and he would love to play that character for the rest of his life, but he’s 24. He wanted to be taken seriously and no one takes a kid seriously.

You remember getting the selfie Tom sent to your phone when he was filming. You didn’t get it until you returned home, but he loved to text your phone when things happened so you could stay up to date with him. The selfie Tom sent you was when he was in Morocco. He was in all of his military gear. The text under it was,

I put this suit on and I feel like I’m an imposter. I feel like I don’t deserve to wear this. I’m just an actor, you are the real hero in this world. But when I feel like this, I remember what you told me. “If anyone can play this role, it’s you Tom. You have a connection to the military. You see what it can do to the family and friends around the soldier. You know what it has done to me. If anyone can bring this character to the screen and help start a conversation about PTSD and addiction, it’s you. I don’t know another actor that would take it seriously and give it 110%.” I hope this movie does start that conversation. I hope people see this character and realize the severity of it. Thank you for pushing me to do this role. I love you. I can’t wait to see you again. Stay safe y/n/n. I love you.

You decided to post the picture he sent you plus a screenshot of the text. You wanted them to see Tom as Tom. You were so incredibly proud of him and you wanted the world to see that.

Tom, I honestly don’t know what words to say right now, you know I’m not good at them, but I’m proud of you. I’m proud of you for going outside your comfort zone. You went into this movie to show people you can be more than the nerdy high school kid and to start a conversation. I read all the text you sent me when filming this. I know the hardships you went through. I cannot wait to watch Cherry with you to see all the hard work pay off. I already know you were absolutely amazing in it. I love you and I’m proud of you!

When Tom got the notification that he was tagged in a post by you, he smiled. He smiled even bigger seeing the photos you used and as he read the caption. He was the luckiest brother in the world to have a sister like you. He quickly comment thank you and love you with a kiss and heart emojis.

“Tom?” You asked as you walked into his room to see him lying on the bed.

“Yeah?” He questioned.

“I really am proud of you. Let’s go out for lunch. My treat.” You smiled. Tom got out of bed and walked to you.

“Thank you for pushing me to do this role. I’m really glad I did it.” He said and gave you a kiss on the head. “Now go get dressed, I’m paying.” He said with an arrogant tone and walked towards his bathroom. You left to get dressed while laughing. Knowing it was going to be a fight to see who actually paid for lunch.

Where do I fit into the SW fandom?

I'm pretty solidly a Sequels fan, but I have a special place in my heart for the Prequels. I'm a fic writer who dabbles mostly in canon universe AUs, what ifs, that sort of stuff. Primarily my fics have Rey with a tendency to focus on the First Order characters and plots.

My Top Faves

A classic Reylo fic from an old friend - Beneath the Facade. It technically has a prologue fic before it in the series, but this piece was the one that I really enjoyed way back in the EARLY days of Reylo.

Where do I fit into the SW fandom?

I‘m in my thirties and an OT fan since birth, because my dad was obsessed with Star Wars and we watched it a lot as kids - they are the go to christmas movies in our family. Even as a very small kid I loved Vader. I didn’t like the ST quite as much when it came out in cinemas but still watched them multiple times. I’m much more fond of them now. But my love for Star Wars really got renewed with the ST. I really liked TFA and TLJ a lot. Not a great fan of TROS though, but to each their own. I recently started watching TCW, if you haven’t go watch it! The Mandalorian is also great and feels more like the OT for me, which I love. Oh, and R1 was awesome, I loved that one! Solo also was good. I think I will be a lifelong fan because it’s such a rich universe and everybody can pick a favorite. I’m also good at ignoring the parts I don’t like, lol. But I‘m mostly exhausted about all the drama on social media, so at the moment I take a bit of a break from social media and only post from time to time. And I’m of the firm believe to ship and let ship and if the art and fics are good, you can also find me enjoying ships outside of Reylo (honestly, some Kylux art out there, woah... and Finnrey is always so tender but Stormpilot has two hot guys in it... and don’t get me started about Finnrose! It all started with the prequels which I fell in love with and even wrote my first fan fic on. (I dragged it from fanfic.net to A03 for my own form of personal torture) I dropped out of star wars until I was in Japan and a close group of friends got me to watch Roque One and play a star wars based table top role playing game, which dumped me back into this fandom hardcore. I fell in love with the sequel trilogy and now I'm stuck forever. Lol

I have been writing on A03 for around 2 years now for star wars and it's been the most productive and progressive work I've ever done thanks to ya'll.

Also, hey, I created this multishippers discord, because multishipping rocks and everyone should do it. :P I know I've never active enough but I love this space and the people in it! My fav part about multishipping is how I'm always discovering yet another ship that is awesome. It never ends. ^^

i: I don’t exactly have a plan for this blog. I want to write as well as just have a random blog to worship my man but I am a bit nervous considering this is a whole new start. I am not sure where to start but I am just going to wait and see how things play out. I am so excited to get to know some new people with this new page! 

ii: Concepts are always welcome! When I do start writing I will be writing for Charlie (of course), Kylo, Flip, Adam Sackler, Paterson, and Clyde and I will be open for writing about other characters if you’d like as well but those are the main ones I like to focus on. Please be aware that I take my time with fics and concepts because I like to go all in. If that bothers you, I would suggest another blog. Just know I work really hard on everything I put out and everything is always very long. That being said: I like to think of my pages as little communities because it brings me a sense of unity - and I hope that’s how I come to feel about this page as well. My inbox is open for you guys to come and have crazy conversations, lustful conversations, just to talk. But just know concepts are welcome! if dohyon isn’t by your side

and when he’s not with these two boys

dohyon comes walking through the front door all like “sorry guys i walked past by a cat cafe and i couldn’t help but to go inside and pet some cats”

and the three of you are yelling in response (especially you through the phone) “yoU WENT WITHOUT ME???!!!!??”

such a smart little big boy

he’s always there to help you with your homework

and when you need extra help

he’s there to tutor you when he has free time

he doesn’t mind doing all of these things for you

because that’s what best friends are for!

and dohyon is glad that out of everyone on this planet

Hi! Killua is the bestest best boi and I think about him 24/7 ;-; If there’s one anime that I’d recommend to anyone it’d have to be HxH (2011), it’s a masterpiece!! I listen to all the endings and openings (yes all 6 versions) on repeat. I’ve contributed to 10+ zines and moderated the OP Feast zine and the BNHA Side Quest zine. I’ve previously tabled at several local conventions and running an online store at the moment. I don't Instagram so what happened on Ryan's alive(hope you don't mind me asking)

okay let me just start saying I DON’T DEFEND HIM BUT I’M ALSO NOT STARTING A HATE LINE HERE, OKAY? okay.

Basically he came in for like 10 minutes, said he didn’t speak before because he changed his phone and the new one wasn’t working and that when he opened twitter in the old one he got all the notifications about what was happening. 

Then he started alright saying he (and other poc/white people) coulnd’t know what being targetted for their skin would feel like and that we all needed to stand up for them. 

He started going downside when he said not all cops are bad. And then some people started telling him to call out the racists around him (meaning his wife but at first he didn’t get it) and then he did get they were talking about her and he got kinda defensive because “don’t mess with my family”. 

Then he said his wife doesn’t have a racist bone in her body and that they use slurs with all their poc friends that let them in private conversations because they’re like that?

And well, that was pretty much it. He said that everyone throwing negativity their way (either being anti blm or anti them now) would only get ignored. And that he had donated (he had to say probably more than y’alls faves) and that he was going to post the links on his bio and stuff

So yeah, not the best response. BUT ONE MORE TIME, DON’T GO HATING Y’ALL. just ignore.

Two Of Us T-8 DAYS

Today at dotd we give thanks for, above all, my convenient fucking time zone wrt the rise of King Louis, thank the gods above for that. I can't tell you every little thing it's TOO MUCH but some highlights of today's barrage of lontent in roughly chronological order... Louis Instagram and twitter profile pics changed, there was a very clever tweet that you had to retweet to unlock the ToU cover art so yeah, boom, trending immediately, followed shortly after by Two Of Us official art and presave links and release date posted (Mar 7! It's moved up a day!) across every platform known to the modern world, trick tweet deleted, Louis' spotify instantly crashed under the weight of people trying to presave and stayed intermittently crashed for like an hour, Louis' website and twitter and everything else updated with the new art theme featuring Louis' handwriting for everything, a handwritten letter emailed out, label and team and colleagues all publicly showing up to support... then a lull. We relaxed, and appreciated the truly astonishing amount of very fast fanart that posted. But then! House of Solo new issue with Louis cover! Presales up for about two minutes, immediately taken down and put back up at a higher price due to demand (:/)(but also now available internationally), sold out, restocked, sold out again, restocked again, idek now go check for yourself. And then! Sun exclusive with preview material from the House of Solo interview- quotes about the song being about Jay! It's Louis, talking about the music!! THE LYRICS OF THE CHORUS. Then more pics from the HoS shoot like every half hour, THEN people discovered a bts photo from that shoot that had been sitting on ig, tagged and everything, since EARLY DEC! Then Louis popped into a Twitter chat ("Thank you for being such a loyal fan base...lots of love") good god I would die. Louis trending for like the third time today. Louis employee Jessie Martin out there liking memes about record labels screwing over clients, lol.

Takeaways and discourses in brief- Jordan Green says Louis was very involved in all the creative and more importantly that this is the "first single of the new campaign" NICE. The release date being moved from Fri to Thurs, which worried some as Fridays are the traditional release day for chart action but Billboard tells us "Thurs is the new Fri" for getting lots of attention. Twitter bio updated but the '1/4 of One Direction' still there, aww. Biggest takeaway of the day though, team Louis is KILLING IT, promo is ON POINT and we are absolutely living for it!!! And, possibly we're about to fucking die of it, this is a lot. Still to come probably in the next few days, Line of Best Fit interview or tease, MeRCh??, more video snippets? They've posted starting at exactly 5 pm GMT the last couple days, it seems totally possible that's going to continue all week so clear your schedules and brace yourselves!

In two of the HoS photos we've seen Louis is wearing a very distinctive shirt that was also worn by Rami Malek to the premier of Papillon, in which he played the character of Louis. Papillon, of course, is the story of two men, Henri and Louis, who are locked up by tptb and plotting to escape together: the 1973 Steve McQueen version of the movie was the inspiration for many of Harry and Louis' tattoos, including the butterfly and the card suits. Maybe it's unrelated! But I personally really hope he wore it as a coded message cause tbh wtf is that shirt, it looks like a 90s lesbian sitcom character promo photo top. Yeah yeah I know y'all love that I'M SORRY I just CANNOT

Some discourse about appropriate things to post about this very personal song/topic which I absolutely do not have space to cover but everyone seems to agree that we should tag for death and grief warnings and some are already having a hard time, so let's go with that?

Phew okay. Listen Niall's really out there making a bid for headlining these updates but dude, this is Not the time for your antics! Not till after the 7th! Sheesh. Still, props, getting drunk and getting papped being ridiculously handsy with your PA is a damn good bid for attention, I'm listening... So, "oops I was drunk and getting sloppy with a pal?" Cynical bid for media coverage on the heels of the recent "mystery girl" articles about them being papped so much together? Trying to tell us he's actually dating his employee? This seems the least likely scenario but Niall is a dark fucking horse, who the hell knows. Anyway to be fair he was also being handsy af with some blond dude, covering all the bases?

And finally Harry was spotted lunching in London. I don't know what this fandom's coming to when Harry news is the most relaxing and straightforward part of it, honestly. Again, get it together Niall - that's supposed to be you! I don't even know which way is up anymore I swear.

Lysander came to slowly, groggily. His training kept him from making a move, from tipping off his captor that he was conscious. Simply continuing to put on the façade of unconsciousness as he tried his best to make sense of his surroundings in his current state.

The first thing he noticed was the rustle of paper as if someone were turning the pages of a book and identified the familiar scent of English breakfast tea. The clink of china confirmed that fact. Was the knave really sitting there reading and drinking tea while he was lying there captive?

He tried to ease his eyes open, staring out through his lashes when he realized something else. Something moving against his side. He froze, his breathing hitching in surprise before the thing seemed to simply leap onto his chest, digging something sharp into him. Lysander tensed, almost not wanting to look.

“Unless you want to keep pretending, I know you’re awake, so you may as well get up and have a cup of tea. I’m sure it will help your head,” a familiar voice said.

Lysander opened his eyes and found himself staring face to face with his attacker: A black cat with green eyes, staring at him reproachfully, flipping its tail, claws digging through Lysander’s clothing and into his chest. He turned his head, confused, to see Eidolon. The other man was sitting comfortably in a chair to the right of the sofa Lysander was lying on, a pair of reading glasses perched on his nose, a cup of tea in one hand and a book in the other, balanced across his knee to hold his place.

“What is this?” was all Lysander could ask, still muzzy from the drug.

“My flat, which you broke into, in case you don’t remember,” came the rather defensive reply.

Lysander huffed indignantly, reaching up to feel the side of his neck, which smarted from the dart. “You drugged me.”

“You should have knocked like a civilized person,” Eidolon replied. “It’s quite rude to just go breaking into people’s residences willy-nilly, King’s Righteous Man or not.”
