personally i hc that her name is rebecca and she's surprisingly good at video games (i know you didn't ask but felt like i needed to say it lol)

Well, anyway. I find it a bit weird to make headcanons about the "real girl" because I don't see her as a fictional character. A real woman was in that stock video. Same reason I'm probably never gonna write any headcanons about Cartoon Wax, as he is technically fictionalized in the YFM universe but is still pretty much a real actual guy in our world. So I'm gonna have to decline. Sorry.

In-universe, they have an animation team. A lot of the art style swappery unfortunately didn't happen.

The lyrics actually started off as a stupid pretentious poem by Benatar.

But unfortunately Ben had a cold, so he made Puff sing his stupid love song.

Axel draws. I like to think he actually did most of the cartooning that transpired in the video. (Benatar draws too but he does more realism.)

Who keeps asking me for these. When did I become the headcanon guy. What.

Okay, I have a few in the doc.

In-universe, they’re only modestly successful. The “soul-crushing gigs at dive bars” usually sell out but most of the time when they play big venues there’s like a bunch of empty seats.

The crowd, however small it is, gets super into it. Puff has lost a few shoes because of these freaks.

Sometimes they'll give autographs afterwards. Depends on how draining the concert is.

… the collective autism I gave them kicks in at the concerts, too.

They make sure to limit the lights so it’s not super bright in their eyes. 

When Epileptic Techno gets performed, they point the strobes at the audience. At least one seizure has happened because of that.

Benatar packs snacks to bring backstage after shows.

On occasion, instead of a normal encore, Puff just goes out by himself. What an asshole.
