I know they said they turned off the Portal , but what if the fact it was working made Natural Portals appear more often, so Ghosts still invade Amity like once every 2 weeks
That way we still technically get Danny Phantom
Thinking about a full ghost Danny AU where he just straight-up dies in the portal. I think there should be more of those. <3
Character death, obviously.
------------
The drive back to Fentonworks was a blur in Maddie's memory, keeping Tucker on the line while he sobbed and stammered, trying and failing to keep himself together and explain what happened.
"-doesn't h-have a heartbeat and he's f-freaking out-"
"It just turned on, we don't know w-what happened, he, he said it didn't work-"
"-trying to keep Danny c-calm-"
"Please come home."
Jack's driving was even worse than usual, veering through the streets in an undisguised panic. Maddie hadn't been able to discern much from Tucker's ramble; the portal had finally turned on, but the kids had been messing around with it and Danny had gotten hurt. How hurt? Tucker didn't seem to be sure, but all three of them were in a state.
Jack pulled into their driveway and flung himself out, half the GAV still sprawled across the sidewalk. Maddie was right behind him, hanging up on Tucker with a quick assurance that they'd be right there.
"DANNY!" Jack yelled.
"In here!" Sam called back, from the open lab door. Of course.
Maddie slipped past Jack and got there first, almost falling down the stairs in her haste. What she saw there made her heart stop.
Danny wasn't there. There were three teens crumpled on the ground in front of the activated portal (a part of her sang, it worked, it worked) but Danny wasn't one of them. There was Tucker, staring blankly at the floor, and Sam, with her arm around a strange, glowing white-haired boy that was in tears - a ghost. A ghost? A ghost!
"GHOST!" Jack yelled in delight. The teen sobbed harder.
"Where's Danny?" Maddie demanded. Sam looked up sharply, her eyes wide like Maddie had never seen, her face dead pale under her makeup.
"I'm sorry!" Sam blurted out, looking nearly in tears herself. "I just, I, I thought it would be cool, it was just a picture, I, I didn't think-"
Maddie's heart skipped a beat. "Sam. Where is Danny?"
Sam looked at the crying boy next to her, huddled under her arm as if for comfort. The boy looked up, radioactive eyes swimming with tears and the water on his skin sparkling prismatically, and met Maddie's eyes.
"Mom," he croaked, his voice tripled and echoing with itself like a movie memory. "What happened to me?"
Maddie's knees gave out, and she crumpled to the floor, unable to take her eyes from the ghost in front of her. In a moment, she understood.
That was Danny. His colors had partially inverted, his hair turning white, the colors of his haz-mat suit - God, that was his haz-mat suit, the one they'd made for him and that he never used - reversing to white-on-black. He'd huddled into Sam, shaking and gasping, but now was pulling away, looking at Maddie like- like he thought she could fix this.
"I think something's wrong," Danny said, his voice trembling somewhere underneath all the alien reverberation. "Should we go to the hospital or, or something?"
"I don't think the hospital can fix this, man," Tucker said weakly, lifting his head just to stare at Danny.
The portal powered down with a whine. Maddie jerked her head up with a gasp, and found Jack at the control box, backing up silently. Jack stared into the portal. Maddie followed his gaze.
She couldn't stop the scream that tore itself from her throat. Jack yelled too, running inside, tripping over the bundled cables, and collapsing unceremoniously short of the body inside. Careless of that, Jack crawled forward the last few feet, scooped up the body, and then started to sob, cradling Danny's burnt and blistered corpse against him.
"...Do we call 911?" Danny asked, voice cracking. Maddie's head snapped back to him from the corpse, watching him stare in bleak, lost confusion at his father and the body he was hugging.
Danny didn't even believe in ghosts. Neither of their kids hid it, treating their profession with a lighthearted exasperation at home and plain embarrassment outside. Somehow, the fact made all of this worse.
"What's happening?" Danny asked helplessly. Shock, the stable part of Maddie's brain told her. He sees what's going on but his mind won't comprehend it. (He wasn't expecting to die today.)
"Y-yes," Maddie said at last, and then forced her voice to stabilize. "I'll... I'll call 911."
But first, she held out her arms, and Danny all but scrambled across the room to throw himself into her arms, still shaking. He was cold as ice, freezing through her haz-mat suit, and that was before he slipped forward with a yelp and tumbled through her. He scrambled back with a cry and tried again, and this time fell solidly against her, hiccupping. She wrapped an arm around him, shushing him softly, and groped for her phone with the other hand. She couldn't take her eyes off Jack, now carrying Danny out of the portal and staring from his corpse to his ghost, looking shattered.
"911, what is your emergency?"
"My son is dead," Maddie heard herself say. Danny hiccupped and clutched at her tighter. There was a brief pause.
"I'm very sorry, ma'am. Where are you? Have you checked his pulse?"
"We're at the Fentonworks building, 18701 northwest..." She rattled off the address mindlessly, and reached down to fumble for Danny's wrist. He let her have it without complaint, too terrified to put up any resistance. She shuddered as she felt nothing, not even the tendons or bone that should be there. Then she looked up at the corpse in Jack's arms and swallowed. "Jack, h-his... his pulse."
Jack nodded mutely and fumbled for Danny's wrist, gingerly running his fingers down the burnt skin until he found the right spot.
"What do you mean, his pulse, his ghost is literally in your lap!" Sam half-shrieked, her mascara running and her fists clenched against her cheeks, her breath coming in short gasps.
"No pulse," Jack croaked hollowly, staring at Danny's ghost.
"Maybe they could..." No, it was a foolish thought, and she wouldn't put false hopes into Danny's head just to put off her own grief. She cradled him closer again, feeling him shudder. She spoke to the operator. "N-no pulse, ma'am."
"Ambulance and police are on their way," the operator said, calm and reassuring. "Can you stay on the line with me?"
"Yes." Maddie felt numb, her own hands trembling as she held Danny close.
"Thank you. Can you tell me your name? Is there anyone else with you?"
"Maddie Fenton," she said. "My husband is with me, and my son's two friends, and... and my son's ghost."
There was another brief pause.
"Alright, Maddie." Maybe it was her imagination, but she thought the operator sounded gentler there. They thought she was crazy, of course. Maddie shut her eyes. "Can you tell me what happened?"
"I, I don't know. My son Danny was home with his friends, and they called and..." Deep breath. She started over. "There was an accident in our lab. Danny was electrocuted by one of our in-progress projects."
"Is the device still on?"
"No, ma'am. We had to turn it off to remove the, the body."
Maddie continued answering questions on autopilot, most of her attention on her son, her husband, and the body. Danny had stopped crying, but remained glued to her side, shivering and sniffling. Jack continued to cradle Danny's body, but his eyes were now fixed on Danny, grief spread across his face. Sam and Tucker had both quieted, watching them with fearful, guilt-stricken looks.
It seemed to take forever for the police and ambulance to arrive. Sam got up to show them inside without being asked, staggering up to steps on obviously shaky legs. Maddie was too grateful to insist on her or Jack doing it; with Danny's ghost cradled against her and his corpse in Jack's arms, well...
The paramedics arrived first, sharp-eyed and professional, but the first almost immediately faltered as he laid eyes on the scene. But Jack held up Danny's body beseechingly, his eyes wet and miserable, and they jolted into action.
"Thank you, ma'am," Maddie said to the woman on the line. "They're here now. May I hang up?"
"Yes. The paramedics will take it from here. Take care, Maddie."
Maddie hung up, and looked at the two paramedics as they filed down. They looked at each other, one inclined his head toward Danny, and they split up, one heading for Jack and the body, the other toward Maddie and the ghost. Both of them knelt beside their chosen patient, and Maddie fixed her attention on the one with her.
"Are you Danny?" the paramedic asked, unexpectedly gentle. Danny peeked up and nodded uncertainly, and the paramedic glanced at the body before seeming to make a decision. "Okay, Danny. My coworker June is going to check your body for signs of life to see if you can still be revived. Are you okay with that?" Danny hiccupped and nodded, though a new wave of tears welled up and trickled down his cheeks. "Can you tell me what happened?"
Danny hiccupped again, reaching up to wipe his eyes. "M-my friends wanted to see the p-portal," he managed, voice wavering. Maddie squeezed him, her own eyes welling up while the paramedic listened patiently. "A-and it didn't work so I t-thought it would be f-fine. I went inside a-and I d-didn't check if it was plugged in or anything, a-and then I tripped and fell and I think I hit a button and it turned on!" His voice rose until he was almost wailing. Maddie's throat tightened, and she hugged him closer. Her poor baby.
"You were electrocuted?" the paramedic checked softly.
"I guess," Danny sniffled. "I dunno. It just hurt. And then I felt really cold, and then I..." He looked down at himself and sniffled again, tears slipping nonstop down his cheeks. "Am I dead?"
The paramedic looked at his coworker, who met his eyes and shook her head. Maddie had to swallow a hiccup of her own, trying to be brave for her terrified son. The paramedic did a much better job at it, looking back at Danny and speaking gently.
"I'm sorry," he said quietly. "There's nothing we can do. June is going to call a coroner and explain the situation-" He caught the other paramedic's eye, and she gave him a nod. "-and we'll have your body taken somewhere it can be prepared for burial or cremation, whichever you prefer." Danny started crying again, and the paramedic exhaled and looked up to meet Maddie's eyes. "Obviously, there's no protocols for this situation. But, as his mother, I think it would still be appropriate for you to make a decision if he doesn't feel able to."

Both Jack and Maddie stared at him, speechless. Silence blanketed the lab, everything but Danny’s strangled crying, his hand pressed over the muzzle as if to hide it. No- to hold it still, to still the dozen wicked barbs that were digging into his tongue, probably ripping it with each sob.

Bruce Wayne has definitely bought each of his kids a ridiculous expensive thing that they genuinely love but also can't help but cringe a little at because it's such a ridiculous rich person thing to do.(example a pony)
oh, for sure, 100%
Dick: he bought him an entire gymnasium and had it added to the Manor when he first adopted. Dick loves how often he can train and go back to his circus memories, but also... an entire fucking gym???
Jason: mint condition old novels, entire series, leather bound, first edition. Perfect, amazing, no notes, loves. Hates that they're so expensive.
Tim: He does not cringe at anything, rich kid confirmed, thinks its normal
Cass: has no concept of money but a tiara with actual diamonds he bought her for her first dance recital
Steph: ungodly amounts of cocaine a horse. She has no notes because she is in love with it, but it is also like a pure bred beautiful mare.
Babs: a very very expensive, homemade, imported all the parts from around the world computer that is basically indestructible (like she can hit supermans head with it and he will get knocked unconscious without it gaining a dent) that he got for her after Joker shot her
Duke: a gallon of milk for twenty bucks because he mentioned in passing he liked milk. That's just mental to him. (as it should be to everyone) otherwise.... i actually dunno what bruce might get duke
Duke: Workshop tickets. Duke expresses an interest in any skill, Bruce finds the most ridiculous high-level have-to-know-someone workshops where Duke can learn it. Leadership, writing, art, anything. (thank you @liketolaugh-writes for this add for Duke :))
Damian:... also confirmed rich kid, does not cringe at anything expensive, if anything cringes because its so cheap even when its thousands of dollars

Summary: “That was a nice thing you did today,” Hawkeye said abruptly. Ed shrugged. “I know you don’t like to share personal stories often.” “It was nothing,” Ed dismissed without looking at her. “Havoc just needed someone to tell him it’d be alright even if he did lose his legs.” ---- Ed has some experience getting used to a new disability.

So my quest to notify those (seemingly) interested that the fic I authored for Zillychu's amazing Ecto-Implosion entry is up has run into many an impediment. However, in the process it has also kicked into a unique level of sunken cost fallacy that pushes me not just to get it done but to work out the problems I had. And in doing so I think I realized that, though the web says I should be able to mention up to 50 people per post, I am not able but to tag a tenth of that - such that if I go something like "hey @cinamon98, @local-dragon-haunt, @stacysdadhasgotmedownbad, @liketolaugh-writes and @oscarat, y'all were waiting for the fic i wrote for @zillychu's EI entry, and now it's up! go click the link above" Zilly's not going to get tagged because I already tagged five people - as I confirmed through this post. The more you know.

Hi, I'm bored and have decided to share some fics I really like, from multiple fandoms and stuff, in no particular order. Also, these aren't the actual summaries of the fics, just what I remember.
The World's Greatest Undercover Wizard by M_Mint - Tim Drake is going undercover as a fifth year wizard in Hogwarts to gather information on Dumbledore, Harry and the upcoming war.
Dark Matter by mysterycyclone - Peter Parker dies in Avengers Infinity War and wakes up in a Lazarus machine in a different world where he tries to find a way back home.
Literally anything by Bergen - lots of Spider-Man stuff, specifically Irondad but it's not cringey like a lot of them are. Well written and lots of the dry deadpan type of humor which I love.
The Blue Food Project by liketolaugh - Percy Jackson meets the characters of the Daredevil show and then later on the Avengers and becomes part of the team. Theyhelp him out with the Great Prophecy stuff and the Battle of Manhattan. Incredible writing, awesome plot, just love it. It's also Percabeth obviously.
Falling For You by 1967HogwartsGoddes - Percy saves Annabeth from falling into Tartarus but he couldn't save himself. So Percy's alone and Annabeth isn't there when he gets some morally ambiguous ideas. Dark Percy, Percabeth, lots of violence and bloodbending.
Harry Potter and the Welcome to the World of Grey by sobsicles - Voldemort succeeds in possessing Harry in the Department of Mysteries at the end of the fifth book and he starts to realize that not everything is always black and white. Morally grey Harry, Drarry but it's not the main focus of the story, Voldemort is still evil but you won't be able to hate him anyway, bizarre I know.
Peter the Pizza Guy by Irisen - Strange sends Peter to another universe instead of erasing everyone's memories of him. He arrives in Gotham and picks up a pizza delivery job.
Three's Family by darkbluedark - Harry and Draco are accidentally sent back in time to 1979 during their fight in the Room of Requirement in the last book and are found and interrogated by the order, specifically James Potter, Sirius Black and Albus Dumbledore. Harry and Draco spent most of their 'captivity' bickering and the rest being suspicious of the people they know to be dead. Not Drarry, one of the funniest fics I've read and there's a good sequel too.
While Mighty Oaks Do Fall by WitchofEndor - Ozai sends Zuko to work in the Fire Nation temple and Zuko becomes a Fire Sage and uses knowledge learnt there to fuck up Ozai's plans while travelling with the Avatar. Sokka/Zuko, one of my favorite ATLA fics.
Mountains and Badgermolehills by Glass_Onion - Zhao captures Zuko after he breaks Aang out of the Pohuai Stronghold for treason and while captured, he meets another prisoner, our very own Sokka of the Southern Water Tribe.
That's it I guess. But these are all some of my all time favorite's. Most of them are pretty long but the time traveling hp one is a one-shot. Hope you enjoy!

Fandom: Danny Phantom Length: 27min Summary: And what if, when Danny transforms on the dissection table, they do believe him?
I posted a new podfic - this time it's a oneshot Last Chance by @liketolaugh-writes
It's my first time recording a oneshot, it feels a bit strange (in a good way) to finish it so fast. I hope I was able to capture the feel of the story well <3

Stars on the Water
By liketolaugh @liketolaugh-writes
On Archive of Our Own
Status: Complete; 116,462 words; 1st part of Constellations series
Summary: "I dunno, I just think it would make a lot of things easier for a lot of people," Percy said to Thalia, when she just stared at him. His cheek rested in his hand, a rare pensive look leaving his eyes distant and unfocused. "Mom has Paul now, so it’ll be easier on her if she doesn’t have to worry about me mucking things up. Dad won’t have to keep threatening war every time Zeus gets his toga twisted. The prophecy’s done, so I won’t be bringing it down on Nico. And no one will have to worry about me blowing up another volcano."
My thoughts: Really dives deep into Percy’s thoughts, the little hints of suicidal thoughts in his narrative and how Gabe has impacted him. Basically Percy goes to therapy and I’m very proud of him.

Did I hear you mention something about a good-mentor-vlad au @liketolaugh-writes? *smirks* I absolutely love this idea and I've even written similar scenes in some of my other fanfics where Vlad falls back on his old habits to teach ghosts/people a lesson about messing with his little badger. @muku-gc Doodled this for my very own Good Vlad AU ages ago based on a meme I borrowed to portray how I re-imagined Vlad's behavior around Danny.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Original Meme (with my edits):
Tumblr media
I have tons of stuff about this au I'd love to share with you along with my genderbent Danny series, which gets a little darker from time to time as far as how far Vlad's willing to go for her sake kind of like you described with Spectra. But going back to the Good Vlad AU, just to summarize I got this idea in my head wondering how much things would have changed if Jack and Maddie apologized for the portal accident sooner before Vlad went off the deep end and became the crazy fruitloop we know now. He even adopted a black cat named Madison (so-as to not be confused with naming them Maddie after his former college crush lolz.)
In this AU he's more of a spoiled rich guy who doesn't understand that some problems can't be solved with money or intimidation using his ghost powers, although thankfully this time around its directed more at bad ghosts/people who actually deserve it. From time to time though he still causes a lot more problems than he solves...
If you'd like to learn more I have a plethora of Good Vlad AU content on my tumblr! And once again, love your idea of Vlad really ripping into Spectra. XD
Also want to say that a key point early on in this good-mentor-Vlad AU is Vlad absolutely DESTROYING Spectra for upsetting Danny.
Danny tries to play it off that she just called him a baby and a loser, but admits when Vlad pushes that she asked him ‘if I was a ghost pretending to be human, or a kid with freaky powers.’ And, being Danny, he doesn’t really know how to hide how much that hurt.
Vlad is of course LIVID and takes the thermos she’s in to the Zone himself and beats her hard enough to permanently damage her ability to take on a human disguise (a la the ghosts in Dan’s time) which. Definitely gets across the extent to which Danny is under his protection. He makes an Example of her.
(Vlad is far too secure in himself, at least in that regard, to be hurt by her words, but is seething at her sheer gall.)

For what it's worth - Chapter one (Danny Phantom fanfiction)
Helloooo! It's been so long since I've written fanfiction, it's crazy! However, I'm sick right now and I went on a random reading spurt for the first time in years and basically inhaled all of liketolaugh's Danny Phantom fanfiction on AO3, which heavily inspired me to write down this idea I've had for a while. So I guess this is also somewhat of a gift for them? I'm struggling a lot to write a fanfiction with OCs, being scared of negative backlash. But I'm too sick right now to care, so let's gooo!
Also, typical: English is not my first language, please let me know if you find any mistakes!(again..also sick as hell right now, so that might make matters worse oops). If you want to read it on AO3, you can do it here!
Summary: Reyka Dup would do anything to get away from her family, that is obsessed with the occult. After having been used for all types of experiments all her life, with the cliché excuse of being "the one", she manages to flee, ending up in the Fenton's residence in Amity Park. However, she has changed in a way that is irreparable and she has to learn how to deal with that, on top of her trauma. The realization that she might not even be from the same dimension only makes matters worse for her.
Tags and Warnings: Mention of Abuse PTSD Swearing Blood mention Heavy Trauma Suicidal Mention
"If you push this button right now-...no one knows what could happen!" "Anything, and I mean anything to be free from this rotten nightmare of a household!"
A click. A moment of silence. Then a flash of green and a bang.
______________________________________________________________
Amity Park, the Fenton Familie's House. Jazz was there by coincidence, more or less. It was the end of her first Semester, so for her vacation she decided that a family visit would be the best way to kill time. Less because of her parents than for her brother Danny. What wasn't a coincidence however, was the fact, that her parents had to run off for an "urgent task" only a few minutes after Danny sneaked off to fight one of the many ghosts that decided to plague the town today. Almost as if the ghosts could smell it, vacation and holiday time was the ghosts favorite time to be a pest.
Not in the mood for this stress, Jazz decided to stay home. By now she knew that Danny was capable enough of handling these things himself, and if he needed help, he would find a way to contact her. Their parents, even though they knew about his not-so-secret anymore identity, still worried for their son and always followed close too...even though they might not be the biggest help possible. But it's the thought that counts, right? So she was sitting on the living rooms couch, reading one of the few books from the old dusty shelves, when she heard a loud bang coming from the basement. Her mood told her to ignore it and deal with it later. Instinct and experience however, urged her to get up and check out what was going on. Sneaking off to the kitchen, she grabbed a spare Fenton Thermos Can that her parents "hid" right next to the microwave, only to take a deep breath and make her way down to the origin of the noise.
Jazz wasn't sure what exactly she was expecting. A ghost causing havoc? A burglar? Equipment randomly deciding to blow up due to faulty wireing? What she wasn't expecting however, was a girl (or woman? hard to tell in this situation) laying on the floor against the wall, blood running over her neck down to her shoulders. Without a second thought, Jazz put away the Thermos, grabbed the nearest first-aid-kit and ran over to help.
Or well. She tried. The moment her hands got close to the girl, it started to faze in and out - though it looked more like...glitching? That is probably the best way Jazz would describe it. Unsure what to do, Jazz called for drastic measures and pulled out her phone, punching in her moms number, in hopes to get her to pick up on the first try.
______________________________________________________________
Pushing the button was a last resort. Reyka wanted nothing more than to get away from her crazy family, obsessed with the supernatural. All the experiments done on her for "the greater good", leaving her without food for days, using her blood in hopes to summon a deity...all of that and more. It was just too much. When her oldest Cousin suddenly forbid her from entering the attic, she knew something was off, even more than her whole life had been so far. Usually her family would beg her to go into the attic, to pray and to offer, to study the occult and find even a glimpse of proof. Why now, would they suddenly try to keep her from there? The attic was the only place she could be alone for a while. The place closest to all the weird stuff done to her, but ironically enough her only safe space in the house.
"...the portal..." "...green glow..." "...mystical..." "...scared." Those were only puzzle pieces of a conversation she listened in on. "Portal?" No. More importantly "scared" ? So far in her life Reyka has never heard of any family member being scared of anything. Not even back when they were sure of having summoned Chtulluh. That was a first. Just as much as it was a first for anyone keeping secrets and for Reyka to be curious about whatever her family was up to. If there truly was a portal, then that meant there was a chance for her to get away. She didn't spend a second to think about what might be behind the portal. It didn't matter. Any place must've been better than "home".
The only way for her to get into the attic was stealing the key from her oldest sister, pretend to go to the toilet at dinner and quietly make her way up. Dinner time was the only time she could be sure, that no one was guarding the attic, as it carried a lot of importance to her family, that everyone sat and ate together.
Step one, getting the key, was the hardest part...she thought. As it turned out, her sister really didn't believe in Reyka's intelligence a lot. Carelessly leaving the keys in the unlocked key safe by the main door, thinking that Reyka wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the house, bike, car and attic keys. By evening, she had easily aquired the keys to the attic without anyone noticing. So she put it in the pocket of her lavender blouse, hiding it behind a mint colored handkerchief she neatly put in there as well.
After about 10 minutes, she excused herself to go to the bathroom. Her family were monsters, but at least they didn't question her on having to go to the toilet. “5 minutes...”, she thought, “5 minutes is all I need, to be gone forever.” Slowly, quietly and carefully, she made her way up the stairs, careful not to trigger even the slightest creak. All those years living in this household taught her how to step on those stairs in the perfect way to avoid any extra noise.
“First flight done, another one to go.” It felt like forever. She counted the seconds, the minutes in her head. One steps, two steps, three steps-! Suddenly a shriek, Reyka stumbling down all three steps again. A rat ran past her, startling her far more than it should've. “Reyka?!” “Shit...”, a mumble.
Downstairs, she could hear someone get up while her name was called. And then steps. Slow. Then faster. Suddenly running up the first flight of stairs.
“Shit shit shit!”, now more an exclamation than a mumble. She fumbled the keys out of her pocket, dropping the handkerchief, running up the leftover stairs, struggling to get the door open. “Goddamn old rusty door! Open up, come on!” Turning her head for a split second, she saw her oldest brother dashing up the stairs as if his life depended on it. Behind him her father and her uncle. Just as she was ready to give up, the door clicked, flying open and exposing the attic. It looked so familiar...but also so different. Across the room, at the big window, the curtains were drawn and a ring of metal, softly glowing green, on two stilts were right in her line of sight. Next to the ring of metal, the portal as she assumed, was a little crafted pedestal with a bunch of open cables and electronics connected to the portal and more buttons than she felt was necessary.
“Reyka!” She bolted, running over to the pedestal. Shit. She was no engineer. No electrician. No expert. The only person that could possibly know how to work this was her uncle. As she stood there, her father, brother and uncle stopped in their tracks. “Easy there, honeybun”, almost a whisper from her uncle, “you don't know what you're doing there.” That sentence fired up so much rage in Reyka's chest. So much, that she felt the adrenaline rush through her whole body. “That's what you always say, right before you abuse me for your crazy believes! 'You don't know what you're doing' or 'it's for the sake of a better world' or stupid shit like that! Fuck you! Fuck you all!” She hovered her hand above a random button, and her uncle flinched. “Jackpot”, she whispered, a soft grin rushing over her face, “you've never been scared of using me for your experiments. But now that I'm in the mood for it, you don't want me to? You're a bunch of hypocrites. Always calling me the “chosen one”. What, just because I have grey eyes and the rest of the family doesn't? Ever heard of traits skipping generations? Or maybe, just maybe, HAH now wouldn't that be funny! Maybe Mom was such a whore, that she cheated?” Reyka's body was shaking. She didn't know if it was the adrenaline, fear, excitement or all of the above. Her hand twitched, inching closer to the button.
With a shaky breath she curled her fingers into a fist, ready to smash the button to pieces if she had to, to make it work, and screamed:”I hate you! I hate this family, I hate this world, I hate my life, I hate everything about existing! Guess what! It's a win-win! I push the button and everything blows up, I die and take you all with me, that's a win! I push the button, run through the portal and never see you again, that's also a win!”
“Reyka-”, her brother started, but got interrupted by her father.
“"If you push this button right now, no one knows what could happen!" Another laugh, this time out of desparation. "Anything, and I mean anything to be free from this rotten nightmare of a household!" Her fist flew downwards, hitting the button.

Autism/Autistic Masterlist
3 Times Tony Told Someone He’s Autistic (ao3) - Strawb3rryBoba pepper/tony N/R, 3k
Summary: There isnt enough neurodivergent Tony stories out there, so here I am writing one. Hope you enjoy!
5 Times Ned Didn't Ask (ao3) - liketolaugh T, 3k
Summary: And one time he did. (Even before he knows what's going on, Ned helps Peter manage his powers.)
Artificial (ao3) - MycroftRH G, 1k
Summary: People say a lot of things about Tony Stark; not all of them are true. The people who say he's weirdly intimate with his bots may have a point, though.
(About Tony growing up autistic, and how that affects his relationship with his bots, his father, and himself. Not AU.)
Blessures (ao3) - especiallythezefronposter T, 5k
Summary: Peter wasn't always on his own, not really.
Or, Peter makes a friend.
Don't Say It (ao3) - bibliomaniac bucky/steve/tony T, 35k
Summary: Tony Stark is autistic and nonverbal. Which is fine, obviously, except for it means that Steve and Bucky don't have his words, and it only takes him a few minutes to decide they don't need to know he has theirs.
That's also totally and definitely fine, until he goes and falls in love with them.
hence the balloons (ao3) - iron_spider_suit pepper/tony G, 12k
Summary: “What does that mean? Au-tis-tic,” Morgan asked, stumbling over the pronunciation, looking from one adult to the other.
-
Morgan’s birthday party leads to some important and long delayed conversations.
Intuition/Assumptions (ao3) - salvabon G, 2k
Summary: Clint is surprised to find out the others don't know that their ally, a vigilante named Daredevil, is blind. He is pretty sure though. And he really wants to make sure he's being inclusive when making a sign language for work.
Okay, So Being Kidnapped is (Arguably) Worse than Plane Rides (ao3) - dragonfishwrites N/R, 4k
Summary: Peter's eyes were on the other vacationers, scanning the crowd for the person that was making him feel so unsafe. This part of the beach was mostly deserted, though. Someone looked to be asleep on her beach towel, someone else completely lost in a book. No one was looking at them. He spied a leisure boat nearby, and for some reason that made his heart thump hard in his throat.
"May," he whispered, panicked and frustrated that he couldn't identify the source of the threat. "Somethings-"
White hot pain exploded at the back of his head, and for a split second terror took over his entire being. Then, everything stopped.
Or: Peter and the terrible horrible no good very bad vacation
Sensory Overload (ao3) - Quiet_reader G, 1k
Summary: An autistic Tony has been running himself ragged trying to organise the Maria Stark Foundation's charity fundraise/ball for New Years Eve. Having exhausted himself in the run-up, he finds the atmosphere too much with too many different stimuli. Steve notices, and takes care of him.
So Much More (ao3) - TheDoctorIsIcecube T, 2k
Summary: Everything being loud and bright had always been a problem for Peter, but it got worse very quickly after a very strange day.
Survival (ao3) - asdPawprint T, 5k
Summary: Peter is in college, and it's really hard. He can't remember the last time he went to class and didn't have a panic attack (or several). If that ever happened at all. Simply surviving is so difficult, Peter isn't sure if thriving is even possible. Until a golden retriever on the internet catches his attention.
The Sanctuary (ao3) - CaptainJimothyCarter bucky/clint G, 4k
Summary: Clint is autistic and he's designated one place in Avengers Tower to become his sanctuary, his safe-space for when he needs to stim. No one is allowed in there, but it doesn't surprise anyone when Clint offers his safe-space to Bucky to use when they're both overwhelmed.
Villanelle (ao3) - Magi_Silverwolf G, 1k
Summary: Tony wasn't good with kids. In general, that just wasn't a thing he was. So imagine his surprise when one snuck into his lab to make a demand.
you're so golden (ao3) - An_Abudance_Of_Stories peter/gwen G, 458
Summary: Self-indulgent fluff about Petergwen.

So uhh, I noticed people in the replies who were asking to be updated when the fic dropped, which, given Zilly's reblog of this did not do the same numbers as the original post (though part of that may be that it invites people to leave the platform), made me worry that some of those who saw the original art and were looking forward to the fic drop could have missed this update. SO i decided to do the totally normal and not deranged thing of going through every single reblog to find people who were waiting for the fic, like those of @sleepypyromancer, @souptimewithfrogs, @drivingmebonkas, @nerdyartisandrittin, @meltingpotofinterests, @animal-123-crazy, @lovelesslittleloser, @cookiejar614, @luminanightfall, @silversaucekai, @thesunmakesmetired, @ghostboymp3, @jaewritesfic, @maramagpie, @happyfoxx-art, @contraryphantom, @agentsquirrelsgotrobots, @healthysharkshealthyocean, @spacentimecreature, @cinamon98, @local-dragon-haunt, @stacysdadhasgotmedownbad, @liketolaugh-writes, or @oscarat, and tag them in a post. If any of these people have since seen the fic, I'm sorry to have bothered them needlessly! (I then decided, to try and be extra helpful, to also lump in people like @astravis, @octubreazul, @ghostpebble, @ectoentity, @kuckookat, @bloggerspam, @void-of-unparalled-chaos, @chaos-bringer-13, @boopjuice, @a-whumply, @noooodle-snek, @detectivedarling, @fridurwrites, @spocksbedsidemanner, @oliocelottafanfics, @phantom-phrases, and @half-deadmagicperson, which in my eyes indicated interest in the fic. If I was wrong about any of them, again sorry to have bothered!)
Also, I saw @sleepy12ftpanda's reblog adding some fight music...
youtube
...which prompts me to add that, while most of the music involved in coming up with the fight scene came from Hadouken!...
youtube
youtube
...in my eternal commitment to stomp any sprout of credibility growing in my wake, I will also mention the Imagine Dragons track that starts with ten seconds of unaccompanied kazoo.

YAHOO IT'S @ecto-implosion TIME!!
I got to work with the very awesome @tumblehcendrum for this one! I'll update this post when they have their partner fic up :) ehehe I love a good dramatic identity reveal

Summary: Connor has a hard time expressing his emotions - it can make him seem cold and unresponsive sometimes, which is the last thing he wants. On the other hand, he does have a helpful mood light in his temple that he’s rather fond of, and more than any other part, Josh thinks it would be easy to upgrade…
