Will answering “part of me will always want to” when Jack asks him if he’ll slip away with Hannibal is actually an insane thing to say cause at any other point during the show before that episode Jack would not have wanted Will to get this close to Hannibal. But now he needs him to!!!!!!!!!!!!! So he is forced to accept the part of Will that is fascinated by the very reason Hannibal is supposed to go to prison, his cruelty & violence, and therefore also that part of Hannibal. Will might as well have said “I wanna eat people with this guy and that’s the very reason why you need me to help you”. And the next scene is him being petty and jealous towards Hannibal’s wife. How did Jack not quit after one single day of working this case

THANK YOU for explaining the Louis/Armand fight with such clarity. Like obviously Armand has the ultimate power over the relationships here and the way he behaves in this episode is world class terrible, we can all see that, but I feel like I've been going crazy when people are softening Louis's words as light banter while Armand responding somewhat in kind is framed as malicious suicide baiting.

It's not my take but I would understand if people were approaching this as "Armand sucks so bad and technically can leave whenever so I give 0 fucks what Louis does or says to him," but "Louis was just being mean" doesn't track for me. He is at this point in his life using regularly enough that Armand's first response when he gets vicious is a bitter "here comes the drugs." He's used to this. Addiction is a complicated and terrible disease but Louis is Armand's partner, for whatever reason, apparently (big caveat) of his own volition and he responds to Armand being upset about his cycle of risky drug use and insincere apologies with a "you're boring and smothering" speech before turning on a dime to "cringe of you to be a victimized. it's given you a real victim mentality" when Armand says he's boring too. It's legitimately reprehensible behaviour! And that's fine. I will continue making heart eyes at him whenever he appears on screen undeterred.

i have a lot of feelings around awards shows/season/in general and they basically boil down to this: i don't like awards for art. i believe we make art to express ourselves. and awards shows are basically massive faux performances saying: Who Is Good At Expression, And Who Isn't. What Is A Good Way To Express Yourself, And What Isn't. Who Looks Good While Doing This, And Who Doesn't. and that sucks to me. and is entirely arbitrary and made up and fucked. idk.

Lestat is a vicious horrible thing with his teeth marks on every part of Louis and yet even with decades of freedom, a new partner, the ability to recognise and condemn cruelty and abusive actions, Louis still wants him back. Knowing what he is, what he can do, Louis wants him back. It never mattered if vampires can dream, for Lestat haunts his waking days, a torturous vision of the only living one Louis really loves.
