Jaune: (His head on Weiss's lap as she runs her fingers though his hair) Alyx was a brat but she still was like family she didn't deserve what that cat did.

Salem: I understand life is usually cruel. Now tell me more about this Curious Cat.

Cinder: WTF?!?

Cinder stalked through the halls and corridors of EverNight Castle. Her twin obsidian blades ready to strike down the intruders... if she could find them. Normally she would have zeroed in on the sounds of conflict and combat, but there was none. The grimm she passed, when she did come across them were just wandering about aimlessly, that was if they weren't sitting or laying down.

So without the sounds of a fierce pitched battle to guide her, Cinder was forced to actually search for the interlopers... who she knew was team RWBY and their friends.

Cinder: This is RIDICULOUS! I must ask my queen for help, to locate these brats.

Cinder made a turn at the next corner and stomped her way toward the throne room. She emerged from one of the side halls into the main corridor and turned towards her destination. Five minutes later she stood there before the large double doors... in total shock.

Cinder: I...

A Beowulf, dressed in a tasteful skirt and blouse ensemble, matched with a set of sensible heels, and topped off with a pearl necklace, and a pair of wire rim glasses... stood before the doors baring her entry.

Cinder: I...

The Beowulf pointed to a sign near the door, well a set of signs in fact. It took ever ounce of her will power to draw her eyes off the figure before her, and look at the signs.

(1) If the doors are closed there is either a meeting or session in progress. Unless it is an EMERGENCY no admittance.

(2) Sessions are by appointment ONLY.

(3) This is a ZERO TOLERANCE work place. Anyone causing a disturbance, or harassing staff will be asked to leave. Failure to do so will cause the authorities to be summoned.

The Beowulf nodded its head and using a metal ruler tapped the desk name plate.

Cinder: Grendelsa Grimmsald, Executive Assistant to Doctor Salem Salem?

The Beowulf who Cinder now knew was named Grendelsa nodded.

Cinder: But, I...

Cinder: I know I don't have an appointment, but this is an emergency! The castle is under attack! I must speak to Queen...

Grendelsa pointed to a set of rather comfy looking waiting room chairs, and Cinder knew instantly she had no choice. So she sat down, and after a few seconds wiggled her butt into the plush cushioning getting more comfortable.

Cinder dozed off, and awoke with a start at the sound of the door opening.

Salem: I understand it is quiet the commute so I will have Grendelsa arrange for some accommodations for you, as in my opinion there is a need to have a few more sessions over the next week before I feel confident that we can space them out further. Is that acceptable Ms Schnee? Mr Arc?

Weiss: More than. Thank you for your hospitality, and all your help.

Cinder shot to her feet, her eyes wide in shock. Salem, her queen. Malevolent Evil Incarnate was in a black pant suit, wearing glasses and SHAKING HANDS with the SCHNEE who was holding the hand of the blond wanna-be knight from Beacon!

Jaune: I still don't...

Salem: It's alright Mr Arc. These things take time, and we progress at the pace that you set. There is no rushing this. Your mental health is very important, and with Ms Schnee's support and my assistance we will help you find resolutions.

Weiss: Can we give it a couple more sessions Jaune? I really do think this is good for you, me and us.

Jaune: Okay. I'll try a few more times.

Salem: Excellent. Grendelsa will make all the...

Twenty minutes later Cinder found herself sitting outside of the main gate of EverNight Castle, right next to Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao Long, and Blake Belladonna.

Ruby: You get kicked out too?

Cinder: ...

Okay I just had the most messed up Star Wars dream. But also it was really cool and the most screwed up scene Star Wars could have ever produced. It actually woke me up with how messed up but also kind of interesting it was. I'll post this now and then reblog later for the evening crowd.

The dream was clearly supposed to be a deleted scene from the Disney+ Obi-Wan series set at the end of the last episode when Obi-Wan is coming to visit Leia in the epilogue. 

In this version of the show Obi-Wan picks up a sidekick along the way, Nari (the Jedi killed in the first episode to show the normie audience how badass the Inquisitors are). Apparently he wasn't killed in the first episode in this version, but instead badly injured but rescued by Obi-Wan. Now he has a cybernetic hand and leg, which I'm sure didn't trigger any PTSD flashbacks in old Kenobi. 

When asked what he's going to do, Nari says he plans to go off and "continue the fight" by helping Jedi and other force sensitives escape the Empire along the Hidden Path. Leia asks Obi-Wan and Nari if they want to meet someone special. Senator Bail Organa looks uncomfortable, but Leia leads the two Jedi and the Senator  back to a hospital room with medical droids and nurses. The camera zooms in and the droids & nurses move one-by-one out of the way to reveal... (I'm building suspense here)... a greatly diminished Padme Amidala. 

Obi-Wan immediately backpeddles out of the room for a quick anxiety attack.

She didn't die giving birth, but stroked out and is basically a vegetable only capable of staring off into the distance and drooling. They have Natalie Portman done up in a bunch of prosthetics to make it look like her face is drooping heavily on one side. Her hair is buzzcut (I guess narratively to keep Padme from pulling at it?) and she's connected to a bunch of massive medical equipment that makes her look small and fragile. Obi-Wan, out in the hallway and refusing to go in, is horrified because he could have sworn she was dead. Senator Bail reveals that he cooked up the whole dying story and did a switcheroo with one of her body doubles!?! WTF Bail!?!

Leia tries to talk to Padme, as does Nari. She mentions that her mother really doesn't respond but she feels like Padme is in there and listening. Nari recognizes Padme (as a politician who was friends with Anakin Skywalker, not as hi secret lover and eventual wife) and is happy to see her. He says something about how lost he feels but he's found purpose or whatever. He was just a padawan when Order 66 happened and he just knows if Anakin had been there at the Temple (evidently he was not present for the Anakin/Vader fight scene and reveal) ... 

Hearing the name "Anakin" causes Padme to snap back to reality for a second, just as Obi-Wan finds the strength to enter the room. They lock eyes as he enters the room and she slowly de-ages into a long-haired healthy looking Padme. I think it was supposed to be ambiguous whether she was being force healed or whether it was just a symbolic de-aging to what Obi-Wan sees in his mind's eye. She struggles to speak. The medical equipment bugs out. She says his name slowly. 

On Mustafar, Vader is stalking around his castle ranting about Kenobi while a little spidery robot droid walking alongside projects a hologram of the Emperor. He's ranting about Kenobi i living on borrowed time and how he'll tear apart the galaxy to find him and finish what he started and... 

Suddenly he stops dead in his tracks and he looks out a window up at the night sky. There's a lone shimmering star. Sidious tries to move the conversation forward by talking about troop movements or whatever and notices he's being ignored. Just as Vader says "Padme?" under his breath, we see Sidious flick his hand in annoyance and Vader's suit starts malfunctioning, forcing him to take a knee. Because of the timing of Vader speaking and the suit malfunctioning, the "-dme" part of "Padme" is rendered in Hayden Christensen's voice.

Sidious does the line from the original version but more annoyed in tone and with the Kenobi-specific parts removed: "You seem agitated, my friend. I wonder if your thoughts are... clear... on this, Lord Vader? If your past cannot be overcome...". 

Vader's suit malfunctions some more. Vader groans in agony.

"No. Kenobi and- Kenobi means nothing to me. I serve only you."

.

.

And that's when I woke up. Screwed up, right?

I HATE the idea of Padme being kept alive but as a vegetable, but I do like the idea of Sidious keeping his metaphorical finger on the kill switch to keep Vader in line.

Normally my dreams are extremely boring. The overwhelming majority of my dreams (80% of the ones I remember) are Grocery Shopping Simulator™ in a procedurally generated grocery store that only sells frozen food and tupperware. Just aisles and aisles of freezer sections and shelves with only plastic containers. The rest of them are either Transcribe Handwritten Table into Excel™ or the very rare Drive aimlessly around empty residential streets of my home town during the mid morning to kill time until the post office opens but the post office never opens, time doesn't appear to really be moving forward, and I just keep driving past the same few houses and sometimes my car radio will play an old rock song I like but otherwise it's just static or my unconscious mind's attempt to make radio ads™.

And then there are dreams like this!?!

⚡️west end year 8 (11/01/25):

I saw the cursed child london year 8 cast again today and made some ridiculously long notes, mainly about scorbus (because i’m obsessed)🆘 i noticed many little things I didn’t see before, so I thought I’d write them down before I forget them!

⚡️act 1:

so much finger twiddling from albus right from the beginning, i love it!

harry and ginny side hugs at the platform were so cute, they were still in so much wonder about their surroundings, it’s like they’re seeing platform 9 3/4 for the first time✨

when ron was doing the whole nose trick with lily jr, ginny gives albus a shoulder squeeze as albus was looking nervous. ginny just gets albus:)

when albus told rose he’s staying in scorp’s compartment, scorp did a fleeting slight smile. he looked like he didn’t believe it 

scorp whispering “slytherin please” during sorting ceremony 

bread scene, albus looked at scorp and puffed his cheeks, like wtf are you doing, and then looked down lol

after scorp said “come to the funeral and be my good friend” albus reached out his arm like he was going to hug scorpius 

they just in general made so much eye contact in moments of uncertainty to assure each other, it’s just the cutest! 

someone sitting behind me gasped when harry he wished albus weren’t his son😭this scene destroys me every time ugh

when scorp tried to climb up the train albus gave him double thumbs up, but scorp failed to get to the top

THEY WERE SO PROTECTIVE OVER EACH OTHER IN THE AMOS SCENE omg 

and when amos said about “undersized teenagers”, scorpius seemed to suddenly be very self conscious about his body, and awkwardly adjusted his tie lol

when amos said “malfoy maybe a voldemort” scorp was hurt and he looked at albus, albus gave him a little smile of reassurance💕

scorpius/harry was screaming, he spat at albus/ron’s face accidentally, and albus/ron wipes his face with his sleeves💀

albus/ron accidentally threw his robe right at his own face after kissing hermione, he was so grossed out. 

⚡️act 2:

scorpius was JEALOUS AF  in the forest💀when delphi was standing between him and albus, blocking scorpius view of albus, he leans to the side and waves at albus. I CANNOT HE’S SO REAL WTF

edge of forest scene when scorp said he checked the daily prophet every day, albus did a tiny smirk. OH GOD HE’S SO OBSESSED WITH SCORPIUS

scrorbus cheering in a weird way because of course they do, they’re scorbus. and after the second cheer, albus mouthed “that’s better” to scorpius 

harry stroking albus’s injured arm in the hospital🥹

staircase ballet was perfect as always. and madame hooch looked so worried about scorpius:( 

staircase scene with scorpius and delphi , after delphi told him “you two belong together” and asked scorpius to find albus, he walked off with a grin and kept doing air fist pumps lol

when they got shushed by the teacher in the library scorpius picked up the book and pointed at it, nodding and pretending to have understood something

library scene monologue. scorpius’s crying and albus’s pained face twitches 😭they were both so broken and vulnerable:(

after they used invisibility cloak, scorpius sat on the chair, hugging himself (kind of) into the tiniest little ball like he wanted to make himself disappear from all the hurt. he didn’t took at albus for a long time. 

scorpius’s little smile when albus said you’re kind to your finger tips (my boy is so precious I wanna die, he need to be protected af all cost)

when they hugged, albus’s face squeezed/crunched up his face with his eyes closed, like he’s in so much pain and regret, but also so relieved. I think he really wanted to feel that moment. 

albus’s cute little laugh after scorpius said consider me engorg-impressed! they’re literally just perfect for each other ughh

I LAUGHED SO MUCH at this: when myrtle said she’s got a soft spot for the potters, albus awkwardly waved at her, and when she said she’s impartial to a malfoy, scorpius looked so scared and tucked in his robe to cover up his chest, like he just got violated by myrtle💀

when scorp emerged cheering from the lake and didn’t see albus, he called albus in a low-pitch,  playful way while laughing, but then immediately became so concerned when albus still didn’t respond😭and his calls became panicked

⚡️act 3:

in draco’s office, droco did the “for voldemort and valour” sign very slowly with a slow voice, he probably heard talks about scorpius doing it in weird ways, and was trying to teach him💀

scorpius’s bent knee bowing to snaps is funny af, he’s fangirlling for real

noticed how the dementor IMMEDIATELY went away after scorpius said albus😭that’s how strong his love for albus is, I literally can’t breathe

again in the lake when scorp hugged albus, albus genuinely looked so happy! my boy loves physical affection, he did a little chuckle too 

also when scorpius screamed harry, albus looked so shocked and confused lol

when McGonagall said about expelling them albus looked immediately at scorpius:(

dorm scene, albus chuckled so much when scorpius was going on about “scorpius the dread-less, malfoy the unanxious”.

when scorpius sat on albus’s bed, albus turned his body towards scorpius, then for a moment, he looked down at their hands on the bed, it’s like he was thinking where to put his hands😭 

rose and gang overhearing the conversation about the alternative reality. rose was upset, james, sitting behind rose, put a hand on her shoulders. james kept fidgeting as if trying to figure out what else he can do to comfort rose. so good to see the sensitive side of james 

i cry at the rose and hermione hug every time 

today it stood out to me about how much fun they genuinely have with each other! and now they make each other laugh all the time!

especially when they were planning different charms to destroy the time turner. they are goofy and make each other laugh so much:)

scorpius looked like he was in disbelief when delphi said albus’s weakness is love. (bruh just believe it☠️)

when delphi put her wand on albus, scorpius tried so hard to stand up from the floor to go to albus, even though he literally just suffered the cruciatus curse moments ago

⚡️act 4:

I cried when Craig died he’s such a cinnamon bun 

also the albus’s finger twiddling kind of got replaced at times by him tucking his hair in this act.

also albus being a geek and being excited about mathilda bagshot. he’s not beating the secret dork allegations 

in godric’s hollow, when scorpius was telling albus about his plan, albus was actually so serious in the beginning, until scorpius said “scream to the baby”, albus muttered “baby??” to himself and frowned lol

ben’s draco is so soft and smiley, v different from steve’s version! he smiled at ron after ron said “you’ve got nice hair”💀

also ben’s draco smiled when he noticed the farmers market. I can just picture draco cooking for scorpius and astoria aaaahh👨🏼‍🌾

the scene where albus was asleep on the church bench made me cry. ginny understands albus so deeply. she’s just the best. I love ginny. 

i swear albus and scorpius’s hands were touching when they sat on the church bench 

scorpius looked in awe and gave double thumbs up to hermione after they answered albus’s history question at the same time. hermione looked so proud of scorpius, it’s honestly so cute. 

rose asked “you good albus”, albus looked at scorpius, then looked at rose, smiled and nodded, and looked at scorpius again. JUST TELL HIM YOU LOVE HIM ALREADY GOD

and the last scene was perfect.💕

neil josten deserves some of the hate and i'm not kidding

now, prefacing this by saying: i LIKE neil. i also recognise that he's a complete dick. i am also fully aware that i am the only person who thinks/cares about aaron minyard this much. i ALSO recognise that i have made this post 4 times already but i'm making it again

SO. i present page 236 of TKM

this scene was over the line even for neil

allow me to *cracks knuckles* Explain.

there are two foxes who, i think, would be able to actually somewhat understand what aaron's life growing up with his mother was like, and those two are wymack and renee. wymack grew up with a bad father who hit him and killed his mother, and renee grew up with her mother and her mother's boyfriends, who are all described as being heavy handed. what pisses me off the most about this scene in particular, among other neil & aaron interactions, is that neil implies that aaron could've stood up to his mother and he didn't.

aaron's mother died when he was fifteen. he had no siblings living with him, no dad, and nicky says he got involved with some bad stuff once he got to columbia, all of which points to aaron being almost entirely isolated as a kid. isolated from everyone except for his mother, who was neglectful before she got violent, but even still, that neglect would bear scars of its own. aaron probably had to learn to cook before he was tall enough to reach the kitchen counter. aaron probably had to walk himself home from school when he was too small to see over cars before crossing the road. aaron probably had to lie to his teachers when they asked to call his mother, had to forge her signature on permission slips, had to learn to shoplift young so he could still eat when they didn't have any money. and then he would have to learn how to clean a cut without it getting infected, because he couldn't go to a hospital. he would have to think about long sleeves and baggy shirts to cover up bruises, he would have to learn how to lie quickly if anybody asked why he was limping slightly, he would have to figure out any possible way to keep people from finding out what was happening, because the alternative was that he'd get taken away, and then he'd really be alone. and that's scary. when you're twelve, the prospect of losing your mom is scary. even after everything, he still didn't know what to do without her. he loved her because there was literally nobody else in his life he could love. and he was a kid.

aaron was a kid and he was scared, and 90% of his actions/reactions to things throughout the books are the actions of a kid who didn't get to do anything other than grow up too fast and now he doesn't know what to do. considering the above scene i cited is immediately after Happy Birthday Junior, aaron's reaction (which is directly confronting neil about wtf is going on) is completely justified! because another reminder that all of the trilogy is in neil's first year of PSU, but aaron and the others have been through the aftermath of kevin signing with them (which we know meant a lot of threats, fights, and other bad shit), with the addition of general Fox drama. and aaron has NO idea what's going on. all he knows is that this random kid from arizona seems dead-set on pissing off riko moriyama, one of their teammates is dead, somebody put a dead fox in their car, and now somebody broke into their locker room and filled neil's locker with blood. so, naturally, aaron's asking what the fuck is happening.

ok so now i am not 100% sure where exactly i was going with this, i am still sick and have a very short attention span so my TLDR is this: when aaron punches neil in the corridor after neil talks to katelyn (even though that happened before this), neil kind of had it coming. also i personally believe aaron deserves to punch neil just one more time. he's earned it

My kid asked me to explain blood types to her today, which made me remember the odd little fact that in the character profiles that appeared at the ends of the earliest Bleach volumes, there are blood types listed for the human characters, but not for the shinigami characters. Shinigami obviously have blood, we've all seen it, we've seen so much of it, honestly, but is it like blood blood? Is blood transfusion a thing they do?

I did not have any particular recollection of anyone ever receiving a blood transfusion in Bleach, but I looked up all the hospital scenes I could think of off the top of my head. Both Byakuya nor Hinamori have sort of a notable absence of things sticking out of them. I'm no expert and I don't even particular like doctor shows, but this is a situation where I would expect both of them to have IVs for hydration, if nothing else. Hinamori's got a respirator and some mysterious carts off to her far side, at least, and maybe Byakuya's just far enough on the upswing that he doesn't need it anymore.

Next shot was the famous Rukia and Renji sharing a hospital room scene.

Renji's respirator goes...under his blanket? Is this right? This doesn't seem right. Rukia doesn't seem particularly attached to anything, although there's kind of a bundle of wires? tubes? coming out of her right shoulder area. You can see them better in this shot:

That sure doesn't look like medical grade tubing, the lower one looks kinda like Hihiou Zabimaru, tbh. IVs usually work by gravity, no? Also those tubes are way too big to be going into someone's veins.

Finally, here's Kira, getting his dubious Squad 12 medical procedure.

More shady, giant, intestine-ass looking tubes that... go into him? wtf. They're attached to a computer. Maybe these are data cables?

The upshot of all of this is that I don't think shinigami have blood transfusions. I can't imagine that they don't know about them, so I imagine it's more of a case of their blood is just part of their soul, like, all of them is just soul all the way down, and it would be nearly impossible to accept a transfusion that was made of someone else's soul (soulmate-enjoying fanfic writers, take note). They do like sticking tubes in people, tho.

This sucks because when I was originally thinking about this, of course I was thinking about all the blood Renji has in his body and whether or not he's a universal donor, because, frankly, if he is, I think they would have a special framed painting of him at Squad 4 and let him have as much donuts and apple juice as he wants.

I think the main reason manga list characters' bloodtypes anyway is because Japanese people use it as a personality test, similar to horoscopes. For the record, here are the characters whose blood types we know:

Ichigo - AO Orihime - BO Chad - AO Tatsuki - AO Isshin - AB Uryuu - AB Don Kanonji (????) - BO

Looks to me like these blood types were definitely chosen to tie into personality at least to some degree (I'm not sure about Isshin, but he probably has fake Urahara Shouten-brand gigai blood-substitute anyway, so I am choosing not to read too deeply into that). Anyway, along those lines, judging from this chart, if we wanted to bootstrap Renji's blood type from his personality, I think he would, in fact, clearly fit into the idiot-on-a-skateboard quadrant. So he is a universal donor! (or at least he would be, if he were filled with blood instead of high-concentration ghost juice.)

The floodlights of the Yas Marina Circuit cast a soft glow over the paddock, illuminating the scene in a way that made everything feel almost surreal. The race had been over for a while, but neither Carlos nor Lando were in a rush to leave. They stood outside, helmets in hand, the heat of the desert night wrapping around them. Their helmets had just been swapped—a tradition, a mark of the end of their time as teammates.

Carlos sighed, rolling his shoulders as he looked over at Lando, who was standing beside him. They had spent two seasons together at McLaren, pushing each other, celebrating together, and occasionally wanting to kill each other. But tonight wasn’t about any of that. It was about the end of something good.

—You good, tío?—Carlos asked, nudging Lando’s arm lightly with his elbow.

Lando blinked, looking up as if Carlos had just snapped him out of a trance.

—Huh? Yeah, yeah, just...—

Carlos followed Lando’s gaze, his own eyes landing a few meters away where Amelie stood with Charles, talking in low voices. She had one arm crossed over her waist, the other holding onto her phone, and Charles was gesturing as he spoke, a smirk playing on his lips. Whatever he had said must’ve been funny because Amelie tilted her head back and laughed, a sound that carried through the cool night air.

Carlos glanced back at Lando. The younger driver had barely looked at him since the conversation started. His eyes kept flicking back to her, like a goddamn magnet.

Carlos chuckled.

—You’re staring, hermano.—

Lando snapped his head back towards him, eyes wide with something dangerously close to panic.

—No, I’m not.—

Carlos smirked, shaking his head.

—Sí, sí, you are.— He crossed his arms over his chest, watching as Lando shifted uncomfortably.

Lando let out a breath, running a hand through his damp curls. His race suit was still half-zipped, the adrenaline from the race not entirely gone yet.

—Shut up, mate.—

Carlos raised an eyebrow. —Why? Because I’m right?—

Lando groaned, tilting his head back. —It’s not like that.—

Carlos snorted. —Bullshit. It’s always been like that with you and her.— He leaned against the metal barrier, watching Amelie as she continued talking with Charles, completely unaware of the effect she was having on the Brit.

Lando scoffed but didn’t argue. He didn’t have it in him to lie—not to Carlos, who had seen it all before.

Carlos sighed, his tone shifting to something quieter, more serious. —Lando, listen to me, amigo. Just tell her what you feel.—

Lando stiffened slightly, looking away.

—It’s not that simple.— Lando’s voice was quieter now, his fingers tightening around the edge of his helmet.

Carlos tilted his head, watching him for a moment before shaking his head with a small laugh.

—It is that simple. You’re just making it complicated.—

Lando’s jaw clenched. He wanted to tell Carlos that it wasn’t that easy. That Amelie was the one who always pulled away when things got too real, that every time he got too close, she reminded him that they were just friends. That she was the one who had kept this whole thing undefined for so long, and yet, he was the one feeling like an idiot, hopelessly caught in whatever this was between them.

Carlos watched him, eyes sharp despite the exhaustion of the day.

—Lando, tío, I’ve known you for two years. And I’ve known you’ve been in love with her for almost as long.—

Lando flinched.

—You think I didn’t notice? You look at her like she’s the fucking sun, hermano.— Carlos let out a dry chuckle. —And the thing is, she looks at you the same way.—

That made Lando pause.

—No, she doesn’t.— He shook his head, the words bitter in his mouth.

Carlos let out a sigh, his expression softening.

—Yes, she does. You’re just too blind to see it.—

Lando exhaled sharply, shaking his head again.

—It’s complicated, man. It’s always been complicated with her.—

Carlos hummed.

—You’re making it complicated. If you love her, tell her. If you want her, fight for her. Stop standing in the fucking shadows waiting for her to figure it out.—

Lando swallowed, looking down at the ground. His grip on his helmet was white-knuckled.

Carlos clapped a hand on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze.

—Just think about it, okay? Don’t waste time. You never know when it’ll run out.—

Lando exhaled through his nose, nodding slightly.

Carlos patted his shoulder before pushing off the barrier.

—Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go find some beer before I have to leave this team forever.—

Lando let out a small laugh despite himself.

—Yeah, go do that.—

Carlos smirked.

—And you... stop being a pendejo and tell her.—

Lando rolled his eyes, but Carlos didn’t miss the way his gaze immediately flickered back to Amelie as soon as he turned away.

—Just friends don’t look at each other like that, mate.— Carlos muttered under his breath as he walked off.

Lando stood there, staring at Carlos as he walked off, his words echoing in his mind. Just friends don’t look at each other like that. He couldn’t shake the thought, couldn’t shake the way his heart had started pounding as Carlos had talked, as if everything about his feelings for Amelie had been laid bare. But was it really that simple? Was it really as clear-cut as Carlos was making it out to be?

His eyes found Amelie again, her laughter still ringing in the air, and something inside him twisted painfully. She was everything to him—always had been, even before things had gotten complicated between them. She was his friend, the one person who understood him without needing words, who had been there for him when he felt like no one else was. But somewhere along the line, somewhere in all the late-night talks, in all the stolen moments, things had shifted.

Now, she was more than a friend.

But even now, as they spent time together, as they navigated this unspoken, undefined thing between them, there was always that underlying tension. The uncertainty. The fear of saying too much and pushing her away.

He clenched his fist around his helmet, the cool metal comforting against his palm.

What the hell was he supposed to do?

Lando’s gaze flickered back to Amelie. She was talking to Charles again, the two of them laughing about something. The look on her face, the way her eyes lit up when Charles spoke, it hurt. It hurt more than it should have. Because in that moment, Lando knew that no matter how much he liked to pretend they were fine, no matter how much they acted like they were just friends to the world, he knew she wasn’t just some girl. She wasn’t just another person in his life.

She was the one. And the longer he waited, the more it seemed like he might lose her. And that terrified him.

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a soft voice, pulling him out of his head.

—Lando?—

He turned and saw Amelie standing a few feet away, a curious smile on her face, her eyes sparkling under the lights of the paddock. She was looking at him like she always did—half amused, half knowing, as if there was some inside joke between them that no one else understood.

—Hey, Ames.— He gave her a small, forced smile, his stomach flipping as she walked closer.

She tilted her head, her expression softening as she stopped in front of him.

—You okay? You look...— She paused, searching for the word. —Like you’re thinking too hard.—

Lando let out a dry chuckle, shifting his weight from one foot to the other.

—That’s dangerous, huh? Me thinking too much?—

Amelie smirked, nudging his arm lightly.

—A little. You might hurt yourself.—

He exhaled, glancing down at the helmet in his hands before looking back at her. She was standing so close, close enough that he could smell the lingering traces of her perfume—something light, familiar, something that reminded him of late nights and whispered conversations.

This was it. This was his moment.

Carlos’s words echoed in his mind. Tell her what you feel.

Lando swallowed, his heart thudding against his ribs.

—Ames, I...— He hesitated, shifting under the weight of his own emotions.

Her gaze softened, her brows pulling together slightly.

—What?— She tilted her head, watching him closely.

Lando inhaled sharply.

—There’s something I need to tell you.—

The way her expression changed—just for a fraction of a second—made his chest tighten. She knew. She had to know.

And then, before he could say another word, she let out a soft sigh, her voice quieter now.

—You know... I'm really glad we're such good friends, Lan.—

Lando felt the air leave his lungs.

Just friends.

His stomach twisted violently, his heart pounding for an entirely different reason now. The words hit him like a gut punch, like she had unknowingly reached into his chest and squeezed.

He let out a strained laugh, masking the way his hands tightened around his helmet.

—Yeah. Me too.—

Amelie smiled at him, completely oblivious to the war raging inside his head. She rocked on her heels slightly, her hands slipping into the pockets of her team-issued jacket.

—Anyway, I should probably go find Stella before she starts sending search parties. You coming?—

Lando hesitated for half a second before nodding, forcing a smirk.

—Yeah, let’s go.—

But as they started walking, side by side, Lando couldn’t shake the suffocating weight pressing against his chest.

Carlos had been wrong.

She didn’t look at him the way he looked at her.

And he was too much of a coward to tell her the truth.

A protagonist of a cdrama taking psychiatric meds? Miracle land.

Something that really gets me about this whole sequence is not even that he sees her distraught and comes up with a way to cheer her up for even a little bit (despite the fact that he himself is even more destroyed than she is, his innate kindness is so deep set and his care) but that he does it without letting her know it's him - earlier he texted her if she's fine and she lied she was and he let it be even though he saw with his own eyes it was a lie.

And so he follows her lead - he accepts her lie and texts back accordingly, and then the panda thing? He never removes the mask so she assumes it's a random stranger who knows nothing about her or her woes and it's just a random act of kindness from a stranger; she can accept this and cheer up precisely because it doesn't seem personal and targeted. What strikes me about this scene is not his kindness or concern but his delicacy. He lets her have her privacy and her pride and takes her lead in how much she wants to share. And it's such a contrast with his "friend" who follows him to that school and pushes and pushes and breaks through all the boundaries, boundaries set by a traumatized and very private man, because what he wants/thinks is more important than the person he cares for would like. Zan, on the other hand (perhaps because he's had his privacy invaded), gives Song Ran all the privacy and dignity he can.

Oh sweet! Looks like Trimax vol4's when Vash actually starts calling Meryl by name on a regular basis

As before--for context, he'd typically used the more distant, but still respectful 'insurance-san' to refer to the girls, but Trigun vol2 (right before Fifth Moon) was the first time he ever said her name so seriously, which was a very Big Deal to her, and their last exchange for 2 years.

That upon their hospital reunion scene in Trimax vol3, genuinely happy and relieved but still awkwardly not quite knowing what to say to each other after all this time, she bonks him for trying his 'old' way of address--denied! No more of that please; say her name!

So aha, here in Trimax vol4, after Zazie captures Meryl as a 'weakness' to bait him and things get personal...there it is. Now he's quite direct and no-nonsense about it! Surprising Milly and shocking even his opponents (in a 'whoa wtf, he behaves nothing like Knives!' kind of way by jumping out of a window for her) with his immediate 'cut the bullshit; I don't care about your games, I'm only here for Meryl; give her back' >:[ attitude!

(For reference, Milly generally calls Meryl 'sempai' while Wolfwood calls everybody nicknames, referring to the girls by their big/small heights. So Vash asserting a First Name basis for her is pretty significant.)

Thoughts on My Adventures with Superman S2 episode 5

I love how Wholesome this Clark is, at 1st it looked like he wasn't really into attending the contest, but as soon as he heard that it was going to be Donating money to the children's hospital, he immediately made up his mind, Showing us once again Why this Show is Amazing, Because they Know how to HANDLE Superman

Aaaaahhh!! We're Finally being introduced to Kara, Omg She looks Soooo good I can't wait to see how they handle her and her relationship with Clark, maybe we might actually get see the "Sibling" Dynamic I talked about not to long ago ^^; (also is it me or does kara look kinda familiar, I don't know she just looks someone I've seen before I just can't put my finger on it, hmmmmm 🤔 eh it's probably nothing )

Annnd just like that Love at 1st sight, in all seriousnes I really love Jimmy's character and how he's handled throughout this show, It's clear that he does feel Guilty for What happened last episode, after all He was the one who gave Lex the "motivation" to do what he is doing So I understand that he does feel responsible in someway, plus he did bring Clark to Expo in the 1st place which led to Superman being framed when the Villains attacked, but C'mon, you Didn't know that would happen or that Lex would be there, or that you guy's would have a TED TALK discussing the "Dangers" of Superman, You have No reason to feel guilty or have any obligation to Fix this because it wasn't your Fault, just sit down and talk to your boy and for crying out loud Omg 😫

Also Clark using his X-ray vision to immediately see who was running is extremely funny to me for some reason idk why lol 😅

Ok 2 things, 1 Lois throughout this episode was really infuriating to me, Lois's ego was really shining here I mean she really feels that there's Nothing Specail about her, and that it would be completely unlikely for a guy like Superman to ever be interested in a person like her, because "who would ever be interested in the reporter right" even though they made entire episode last season focusing on the LOL/ League of Lois Lanes and how Lois lane is DESTINED to be with Superman in every reality, so it really Grinds my gears when she starts getting jealous when she sees Superman acting single around other contestants/girls, and wants act all salty and question if they're even "right" for each other and that maybe he should be with someone who is more Special than her when in reality that's exactly WHY he fell for you in the 1st place, because you are Different and because you Makes him feel Normal, also you're the 1 that Told him to "act" single in the 1st place like Wtf!? Also I find it hilarious that Clark immediately waves as they're talking about who could Superman's identity be, like it's LITERALLY right in front of them 😂

Judging by this scene it feels like she's never been on Earth before whatsoever, from her being to foriegn to stuff like what Ice cream and hot dogs are, to earlier with her wanting to immediately square up with a Truck, It's pretty clear that THIS Is her 1st time being on earth, leaving the question Now to where has she been all this time, and who is her father? Because as far as I'm aware I thought only her and Kal were last 2 kryptonians that made it off Krypton, So who could her "father" be? Well there's only 1 option, but I'll save that for a later scene ;)

So as I was watching this I kept wondering on who the heck the other contestants were, as far as my knowledge of comic books go it's Not really that good, since I mainly grew up with cartoons and only read a few comics from time to time and Superman was the 1 thing that I Never really kept up with all that time, So forgive me I don't really know who most of the people are on here other than Hank Hanshaw AKA Cyborg Superman, if y'all happen to know feel free to lemme know in the comments or just Ask me in the submissions Thx ^^;

Since you watch lone star too, you saw the whole kidnapping thing in ls 4x04. If 911 did something like that, how would it play out? Who would even get kidnapped? I mean, it's different that being held hostage like in ls 2x08 (in the empty restaurant) or 911 5x06 (in the ambulance itself).

4x04 is one of my favorite episodes and my most rewatched one! I just think Rafael is an incredible actor, and should lone star get cancelled I would fully support him moving to LA and Carlos teaming up with Athena to fight crime (TK can come too).

But getting to your actual question, my buck loving heart would love to see him be the one in peril. He suspects something after a call in a mostly abandoned neighborhood and goes back after work just to have a look around. Bobby’s gone back to a scene before, and that’s why buck feels like he could do it too.

Cue the drama. Cue the kidnapping.

He was supposed to meet tommy after work and he told him he’d be a little late but didn’t say he wasn’t coming at all so now tommy is worried. They’re not at the phase of having each other on find my friend or anything like that, and buck’s not answering so he calls maddie. She hasn’t heard from him but he doesn’t want to worry her so he ends up saying “oh, just got a text! traffic, of course!”

He picks up eddie, then he calls bobby, who tells athena, and the four of them go on the search of a lifetime looking for buck. They call Josh at dispatch and have him ping buck’s phone (and tell him to NOT tell maddie!!!). he does what he can, gets a last known location, but not an exact.

Maddie’s suspicious of course. she talks to chim who talks to hen who calls bobby and when bobby fills her in she tells him about the call at that creepy subdivision that buck wouldn’t stop talking about afterward.

All this while buck is going through it with the kidnappers.

Tommy is on edge. He’s snappy and scared and cuts through every piece of red tape that stands in Athena’s way. Doesn’t care if he can’t legally enter a house, Athena will have to arrest him to stop him. Goes into full interrogation mode with people who may have seen something. Bobby has to hold tommy back once, but eddie just takes over for him.

Athena, Bobby, Eddie, and Tommy find Buck just in time. At the hospital, bobby tells buck the way tommy reacted- that could only be love. The deepest, craziest, most heartfelt love. Bobby knows buck loves tommy too. He should tell him that. Life’s too short not to. The episode ends with tommy coming into the room. Bobby walks out but looks back at them through the observation window as tommy runs his fingers through bucks hair and gives him a kiss on the temple. We don’t hear the I love you’s, but we see buck say something that can only be “I love you” by the way tommy looks at him, then tommy smiles and we see him say it back. They kiss gently as tommy holds onto buck like he’s made of the most precious gold.
