I was wondering how long Junho was in a coma… i thought it was a week or something… but he was in a coma for A YEAR.

Gihun going to the airport in s2 ep 1 already happened in s1 ep 9. And this happened a year after he joined the game.

To remind you of the events of the ending of s1, Gihun found his mother dead when he went home after winning the game. Then he lies down and hugs his dead mother. Then it cuts to “1 year later” and then Ilnam died. There were no time skips anymore when he went to the airport to see his daughter. He dyed his hair red first then left money to Saebyeok’s brother and Sangwoo’s mother.

Season 2 picked up where season 1 ended. Which is 1 year later. And then they show us Junho waking up. No time skips or changes or anything. His mother was frantic “MY SON JUST OPENED HIS EYES”

He was in a coma for a year yall 😭😭😭

Inho better have FELT BAD. Or WORSE. He couldn’t do anything but to WAIT. For ONE WHOLE YEAR. Is his little brother gonna wake up???? Or did he really kill him??? Did he ever visit him at the hospital discretely? And just cried there and said sorry over and over again and also begged for him to wake up even though no one could hear him???

My understanding of Jason Todd's age;

Jason dies when he's 15, 4 months before his 16th birthday. He is dead for any number of time; it doesn't count towards his age.

He's resurrected; he is in a coma for 1 year, then catatonic for another. He is then put into a Lazarus Pit. (These 2 years are practically useless, as he doesn't remember them and they contribute very little to the story. They could be condensed to 2 months and it would change basically nothing.)

He trains for about a year. You can then give him 1-12 months of prep and planning time before his debut as the Red Hood, and the story of UT(R)H, at which point he would be mentally 16-17, physically 18-19, and it would be (--) years after his birth.

I was supposed to reblog but my essay got too long. I saw a post saying that Junho could have crawled out of the water on his own because the shot Inho gave him is nonfatal.

The medical student in me is screaming so I decided to make a very nerdy essay.

Junho probably never got to crawl out of the water on his own after being shot. That could be the only reason why he was in a coma that lasted for a year. It’s either he had a concussion or he drowned for too long (more than 5 minutes). Both drowning and concussion (traumatic brain injury) can lead to hypoxia/ anoxia, which means reduced or complete cessation of oxygen in the brain.

The extent of the damage depends on how long oxygen got cut off from the brain and considering Junho was in a coma for a year, the damage was very severe.

But how could he drown if he knows how to swim? There was probably a tide? Or he was too depressed to even try to save himself? I mean did you see his face when he said, “hyung, why?” Bro looked like he lost all emotions. He probably just accepted his fate and didn’t try to fight it.

Extra note: kidney failure can also cause coma! So even if Junho didn’t hit his head nor drown, it could be because of his kidney. Note that all patients who had kidney transplant must take maintenance medications their entire life. I repeat, entire life. I’ve seen a lot of people point this out: we never saw Junho take any medicine in s1 when he is supposed to. That is actually very dangerous since his kidney could—would— fail again. Our kidneys are responsible of eliminating wastes or toxins in our body. Too much accumulated toxins (due to kidney failure) is very harmful to the brain and therefore, stop functioning properly altogether, which will result in a coma.

I didn’t mean for this post to be so long but the medical student in me just acted out again.
