Meet the Ankylosaurus! This prehistoric tank was built for defense with its armored plates and club-like tail.
What is your favorite fact about the Ankylosaurus?
im trying a new introduction post design so it is easier to post regularly and show facts about the animals like their extinction level.

I think the paint is watercolor?
Oh, that's so fun, Bubs!!
Yes, that definitely looks like watercolor.
Oh and I have the same dinosaur species in my toy collection, I think! :D
Tumblr media
This is the dino species called Ankylosaurus, they where armored tanks of a dinosaurs!!
This impressive herbivore defended itself against predators, with its clubbed tail and spike-studded body.
They lived in the late Cretaceous period.

Do drow also have tails/what is your drow lore like?
yaaa we are thinking they will ^_^ fully @wii-snorkeling2006 's idea but we were thinking them having smth like club like tails kinda ankylosaurus esque iirc ! we havent fleshed out drow very much ill be honest 😭 i was thinking for the sake of not dying in 1 million details bc sorting out the plot is already kind of a crazy task, that we mainly focus on moon and sun elves ^_^ esp bc the whole story is themed around that kind of vibe, the eclipse related title, roe being a sun elf and pewter cursed by a moon elf goddess 💫
but we have talked a bit about the drow!! we were talking about roe and pewter having to visit there at some point and it being awkward culturally ^_^ we were thinking theyre still the kind of like.. AJDKKG bdsm matriarchy misandrist vibe that they are in canon.. i think its fun + silly 💖 this is them at some drow party idk 💫

Nodosaurus. . Nodosaurus was a heavily armoured dinosaur similar to the much more famous Ankylosaurus. However it and other Nodosaurids can be distinguished from that group by the absence of a tail club, which all Ankylosaurids had. It’s one of the few dinosaur groups that we know for certain almost exactly what it looked like as a closely related dinosaur, Borealopelta, was found articulated with its fossilised soft tissue intact. . . . . . . . . . #nodosaurus #nodosauridae #ankylosaur #dinosaur #dinoart #dinoartist #dinosaurart #paleoart #dinoartwork #dinosaurartwork #prehistoric #prehistoricanimals #mesozoic #cretaceous #cretaceousperiod #stylisedart #stylizedart #dinosaurs https://www.instagram.com/p/CodRIIVqrEB/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

little!jeongyeon hc
(i caved. i just couldn’t not write them)
little!jeong is all about dinos & dogs. her favorite dinosaur is the ankylosaurus because of its club tail and the bony plates that act like armor
her most favorite shows in the whole world are paw patrol and bluey. her favorite character in paw patrol is Rex because he’s the dino pup and she thinks his wheelchair is super cool!
she absolutely has to have her weighted dinosaur stuffy with her at all times. unless she’s in the bath or walking around somewhere with her mamas, she needs it
her pacifier she uses occasionally also has a little tiny dino stuffy attached to the end and she’s got matching dinosaur jammies to go with it
she’s not a picky eater and tteokbokki is her favorite. if her mamas would let her, she would eat it for every meal of the day (they say that she has to eat vegetables though so she can be healthy)
little!jeong loves playing with tzu because tzu also loves puppies and she knows a lot of facts about different puppies
bath time (other than when it’s her birthday or she’s really sleepy) is her favorite time of the day. she likes playing with her bath toys and making up little games
if she’s grumpy, watch out. she’s usually grumpy when she needs a nap but that’s the last thing she’ll let her mamas do for her. she’ll try to whine her way out of a nap but eventually her sleepiness kicks in and she’s curled up in her mamas arms
other than being grumpy due to a lack of sleep, jeong is really easy. she eats well, sleeps well, and likes to play with all the littles
little!jeong, unlike big jeong, loves cuddles. she becomes extra cuddly and always wants her mamas to pay attention when she’s showing them a picture she colored, one of her dinosaur toys, or a new game she made up
she’s loud. she’s almost louder than hyo and nayeon but not quite. get the three of them in a room and you’ll have to wear earplugs
she knows how to get out of trouble and the easiest way to melt her mamas hearts whenever she wants something. she can be a little sneaky that way but it’s usually just to get a little extra food or to stay up five minutes past her bedtime
much like big jeong, little!jeong is a goofy girl. she loves making her mamas laugh and she’s able to take care of the other littles when they’re sad the best because she can always make them laugh and feel better
one time jeong was trying to get ice cream out of the freezer when she wasn’t supposed to and she used a step stool. she ended up falling and that was a whole ordeal so step stools are off limits in the house for jeong unless it’s an emergency
she snores in her sleep but it’s very quiet and cute. it’s honestly almost like she’s purring like a little kitten it’s so soft
little!jeong’s favorite thing to do with her mamas is wake them up. she’ll run into their bedroom and jump on them, kissing all over their faces until they end up tickling her to get her off
her favorite nicknames are absolutely: jeongie, bub, and peanut
her other favorite food is — you guessed it: dino nuggets! she kind of complains sometimes about how they’re not accurately shaped and her mamas have to remind her that they’re just food and not the pictures in her books or her toys so they don’t have to be super accurate
this conversation led to jeong writing a letter to the company in green gel pen. her mamas never sent it, but they do have it tucked away in their sock drawer because it was so cute
little!jeong’s favorite holiday is christmas. she loves all the lights and the snow. she likes getting presents, but what she loves is being able to be with all her unnies and eating cookies. she always bakes with tzu and momo when it’s christmas
she regresses almost the least out of the members but when she does, they all absolutely adore her. she gets so much cuddlier and she gets very chatty, saying whatever’s on her mind. no one can resist the little and her sweet laugh and smile
i have a lot more little!jeong thoughts in my head, but for now here’s a few :)

A relative of such armored giants such as Ankylosaurus and Tarchia, Anodontosaurus lambei (Lambe’s toothless lizard) is a decently-sized ankylosaur. Just like its relatives, this creature was covered in osteoderms from head to toe, and came equipped with a fearsome-looking tail club, looking a bit similar to a pointy hammer. While this beast mainly ate plants, it has been known to head into burnt forests to feed on charcoal, a very essential part of dealing with the toxins of the plants that it eats.

Granted, my idea of 'that type of stuff' seems to be most people's idea of tame, but a lot of the 'over the clothes' action, posing in Fundoshi, and the links to actual stuff (the ex friend also realllllly liked this one guy on Twitter even though they could not use that site, since he had a lot of stuff, so the point that they are trying to imitate his art style, which is disappointing because I honestly did think the ex friend's older art was cuter) were still what I would consider highly unwanted and inappropriate, especially given the context of them being sent to try and get me to do stuff.
I might be too forgiving again here, but I wouldn't necessarily blame the mutual if it was them asking about it. Like I said, they don't use Tumblr that much, so they might have just been confused. Then again, the ex friend did scream at them publicly for not interacting with their posts at one point, so they should have known something was up.
I can't believe I forgot about Parasaurolophus. That one is also one of my favorites because they look so fun for some reason. I wish we could determine what the crest was for. It is hollow, so I figure it was either to make noise, or it really was used for thermoregulation instead of the dimorphic characteristic. It could be either, since they had scales, so they might not have been able to regulate heat that well with their size, and it might be too bony to make noise. I figure the answer could also be something else, but since we only have the skeleton, there could have been a lot going on in shape and muscles that we don't understand unless we want to go full Jurassic Park somehow.
Spinosaurus has one of the biggest the 'we only have the skeleton' issues, I think, and that raises a lot of questions about how and where it lived, and its connection to water. I have seen discussions using some modern animals and how they can look vastly different from their skeletons, to discuss how Spinosaurus could be way different than we think. Like, was it more like an alligator, or a hippo? Either way, Jurassic Park memories abound.
I think Ankylosaurus is really cute with the head shape and the armor. I could say the club tail is self explanatory if we actually had the full picture on their legs and feet, which I think is only an incomplete picture, as I recall. Maybe it trundled along like a turtle, or maybe Ankylosaurus could gallop like a Pristichampus for some periods of time to escape predators. It's fun to think about!
I think I saw one episode of Walking with Dinosaurs, and it was about finding the proper rocks to feed to the brontosaurus (?) to help them break down plant matter (my brain says gizzards, but I know that is not correct). Also, they used one to pull a stuck car in exchange for a 'treat' that was one of the rocks.
I am glad you found the videos you wanted! You might also like Floshark and Tiburon (I think they are the same person, and they have a few variations of Floshark) on Youtube. They make AMVs out of movies like Jurassic Park and other films, although it is a lot of The Asylum films, which is a studio that makes a lot of made for tv movies, which while very entertaining, are lower budget. They did pretty well with Sharknado, Anaconda, and Lake Placid, though. But the YouTube channels do have dinosaur AMVs as well.
It is a bit strange and intriguing that at some point you could buy and orange book with nothing on the cover. Now I want to find it.
As far as species in the streams go, some species are more tolerant of pollution that others, so the turtles/tortoises in the area would have been the very tolerant species, I would think. There might have been more around if the water was clean.
Bit of a tangent, but have you ever seen/held a hellbender salamander? They are so...bony and squirmy. Also endangered, so I'm glad I got to hold one at nature camp a few times.
No, I get what you mean. Each person has their limits with those sort of things. And sending those sort of things without asking your boundaries on them is disrespectful. Shouldn't have sent them especially under those conditions. Reminds me when they tried to pull my AU towards that too, but I told them no because it made me uncomfortable. Surprisingly, they never pushed back or anything. But it might have been since I was giving them what they wanted. Some control of my AU. Eh, whatever enough about me. I still can't believe they sent such things. I don't know how they thought it would have changed your mind. And yeah, I can also tell their art style is based off of someone else. But, I haven't seen their older art so I can't say what my opinion was/is.
True, I wouldn't be able too upset at that mutual. Mostly confused. And you may be right on that front. Too many factors into one thing. And it might be better to just leave it alone. From what I saw, nothing much came out of it (at least publicly).
Parasaurolophus' crests has always been interesting to know. I have seen most people just theorize it would have made some sort of noise. But as you said, we would need the actual muscles, tissues, etc. of their crests. Which would be impossible and like any other person who watched Jurassic Park, better stay that way. I am a fan of that theory btw. But that is probably because that was the theory presented to me the most as a kid. I hadn't done much research on them or any other dinosaurs since I was 9 (so around 14 years?). That dinosaur will always remain my favorite because I think they are a beautiful species (used to have dinosaur toys and I had two Parasaurolophus).
Ah, yes the mystery of the Spinosaurus. Apparently, they found the fossil somewhere in Africa and took it to Europe. Only for the museum that it was in to be bombed during WW2. Most of the skeleton is gone now and it seems that (based on my memory), no other fossils have been found for this species. I also heard that it could have been more aquatic/crocodile like. Which would make a lot of sense too if we were to assume that it mainly ate fish. It definitely is a unique dinosaur with a lot of mystery to it. I do find that this dinosaur is told to be a bit overrated, but tbf it has a lot of unknown to it and Jurassic Park definitely played a role with that.
I had forgotten about Ankylosaurus! Their club of a tail was always to cool to think about! I remember having a toy Ankylosaurus and always hitting its club onto my other dinosaur toys lol. Though, if I remember correctly, as a kid I found them to be ugly??? Either ways, from the skeleton, I remember most videos said they were not the fastest but could swing their tail fast and hard. And since they were covered in armor, they had pretty decent defense. So, it is plausible that the speed of the dinosaur was reduced in exchange for its armor. I think only stronger dinosaurs could eat them if they were flipped like a turtle.
I remember that episode! I saw the whole series. The ending was sad, but also made me laugh. Like, I know the asteroid was a bad event for dinosaurs. But the editing/scene, was so funny. Because the strong wind made the little baby t-rex just yeet off screen. I know I shouldn't laugh because it is sad. As much as I love dinosaurs, I am glad they are extinct. Like, can you imagine a T-rex in the area? Those guys had padded feet and you wouldn't hear it until it was too late.
Ah, I don't really watch amvs anymore. But, I will check out the channels. I only remember a handful of previous amvs or tributes to dinosaurs. Sometimes I wonder what my mom was thinking whenever she saw me watch those lol. My poor family was so confused for my sheer love of dinosaurs as a kid. But, they never said anything bad about it. Rather, they encouraged it. Except whenever I sang that one song that got on their nerves lol.
Yeah, that's why it's so hard for me to remember any details of the book. I will have to ask my mom about it. It talked about prehistoric times, fossils, and what humans were like before. It was a fantastic book that went over a lot of details. Some may be outdated, but it was written really good! Even if 9 year old me did not understand everything. I specifically remember one female paleontologist, Mary Anning's story in the book. I looked up to her lol and she made me want to be a paleontologist when I was a kid.
I have never heard or seen one. The most I have ever held were common pets. I am more scared nowadays to interact with animals, so I doubt I would ever hold one. Cause like I am even nervous around butterflies! I cannot even fathom holding a lizard. Though, I hope the salamander you mention doesn't go extinct. We have already lost too many species due to people.

Unraveling the Mysteries: The Science Behind the Most Popular Dinosaurs
Tumblr media
Our minds are still captured by the enormous animals that once roamed the Earth: dinosaurs. We explore the scientific mysteries behind some of the most well-known most popular dinosaurs on this historical voyage, revealing the traits that keep them so interesting.
Tyrannosaurus Rex: The King of Dinosaurs
The legendary Tyrannosaurus Rex, sometimes referred to as T. rex, is the most recognizable dinosaur. It is a fearsome character in popular dinosaurs mythology because of its enormous stature, strong teeth, and little arms. Scientists examine fossils to learn more about the morphology, behavior, and ecological function of Tyrannosaurus rex. Even with its intimidating image, further study reveals this enormous carnivore's more complex sides.
Stegosaurus: Decoding the Unique Features of the Armored Dinosaur
Stegosaurus is sometimes called the armored dinosaur due to its characteristic spikes and plates. Previously considered exclusively defensive, these traits are now understood to be involved in controlling the dinosaur's body temperature. The function of these plates and their importance in Stegosaurus' everyday existence are still being investigated by scientists.
Velociraptor: The Swift Hunter and Its Role in Dinosaur Pop Culture
The Hollywood portrayal of the Velociraptor differs from the popular cultural portrayal, which shows it as a quick and crafty predator. It wasn't the nimble hunter that Hollywood portrayed; it was a smaller dinosaur with feathers. Comprehending the actual traits of Velociraptors advances our understanding of the variety and development of dinosaurs.
Triceratops: The Horned Herbivore and its Prehistoric Habitat
The triceratops dinosaur was a herbivore identified by its three characteristic horns and frill. Researchers study its morphology to learn how these traits were applied in relationships with other dinosaurs and defense. The fossilized bones of triceratops provide information about its habitat and range in the prehistoric past.
Brachiosaurus: Exploring the Giant Long-Necked Dinosaur
Brachiosaurus was a massive herbivore distinguished by its long neck and massive size. Research is still being done to determine why it has such a lengthy neck and what adaptations it has made to accommodate its enormous size. Recent finds clarify the possible lifestyle of the Brachiosaurus and its contribution to its era's biodiversity.
Ankylosaurus: The Tank-Like Dinosaur with a Built-In Weapon
Ankylosaurus was armored and possessed a tail club, like a prehistoric tank. Researchers look at Ankylosaurus's defense mechanisms and how it interacts with possible predators. Researching this dinosaur that resembles a tank offers important insights into the ecosystems of the late Cretaceous.
Pterosaurs: Flying Reptiles of the Dinosaur Era
Pterosaurs were flying reptiles that were frequently connected to dinosaurs. Our understanding of prehistoric skies is aided by our comprehension of the differences between dinosaurs and pterosaurs and their different species and flying capabilities. As avian residents of prehistoric ecosystems, pterosaurs had a special function.
Spinosaurus: The Aquatic Dinosaur and Its Mysterious Lifestyle
The dinosaur that adapted to water the existence of Spinosaurus challenges the idea that dinosaurs were terrestrial creatures. Research into the potential aquatic behavior, diet, and habitat of dinosaurs adds to our understanding of the variety of dinosaurs and the environments they inhabit.
Dinosaur Extinction: What Caused the End of the Age of Dinosaurs?
Theories about impact events and environmental modifications that could have aided in the demise of dinosaurs are currently being investigated. Understanding the circumstances leading up to the end of the Mesozoic Era can help us understand more about Earth's past. The current study aims to unravel the riddles surrounding this significant period in the history of the dinosaurs.
Conclusion
We learn about the most recent advancements and discoveries in paleontology by exploring the science underlying the most popular dinosaurs. The remarkable diversity and adaptability of these prehistoric animals are better understood by researchers who can bring dinosaurs back to life via cutting-edge scientific tools and fossil analysis. Scientific research into the past broadens our comprehension of the planet's prehistoric inhabitants and their persistent mysteries.

🔑 Mrugjara Lightninghorn
Report:Thundersaurus. (Private no. Don't call him that.)
He is a 14 foot tall anthropomorphic genetically hybrid of a Triceratops, a Nasutoceratops, an Ankylosaurus, and a Zuu crurivastator He has a rather large head, a short, thick neck, a large roughly barrel-shaped torso, two thick muscular arms, two thick muscular legs and a long, thick, muscular tail that is tipped with a large club(feels like a rock-Private). He also has broad shoulders. The sides and back of his neck and his back, sides, limbs, and tail are covered in large osteoderms. He does not have osteoderms on his chest, stomach, and the inner sides of his limbs. The club on the end of his tail is 36 inches long, 34 inches wide and 30 inches thick at its thickest point, and his tail club weighs nearly 90 pounds. The osteoderms on the sides of his tail are roughly triangular in shape, and they point towards the end of his tail. The osteoderms on his limbs are wide and flattened. The osteoderms on his neck, body and tail are pointed and very sharp, and the osteoderms on his neck and torso are all very large, while the osteoderms on his tail get smaller as they get closer to his tail club. His skin is mostly a stony gray color, and his osteoderms are covered in black keratin sheaths. The skin on the underside of his neck and the inner sides of his limbs is light gray, and the skin on his chest, stomach, and the underside of his tail is also light gray. He has five fingers on each hand and four hoofed toes on each foot. His entire tail is quite flexible. His head very closely resembles the head of a Triceratops, but he has large nasal passages like a Nasutoceratops. He has neon blue eyes that glow in the dark. He has two 5-inch long tusks on his lower jaw, right in front of his lower teeth. These tusks are fully exposed, and they are rather thick and end in rounded tips. His frill is 4 feet long and 5 feet wide, and each of his brow horns is 4 feet long. His nose horn is 14 inches long. The last 6 inches of all his horns glow bright neon blue, and all his horns resemble the horns of a Triceratops. He has small triangular spikes on the edges of his frill. His fingers are tipped with blunt hoof-like claws. He weighs just over 23500 pounds. (The claws seem good at digging)
He is 55 years old. He is highly intelligent, and he speaks English, French, and Spanish. He has a very deep, somewhat imposing voice. He is surprisingly agile despite his size and armor, and he is also incredibly strong and highly resilient. He has an excellent sense of smell and excellent hearing, and he also has binocular vision. Although he has binocular vision, he also has mild nearsightedness caused by an astigmatism in his right eye, so he has to wear custom-made prescription glasses to see clearly. Mrugjara can produce large amounts of electricity within his body, and he can electrify his horns and osteoderms.(note to self do not let near magnets) He can also electrify his fists and shoot orbs of ball lightning from his palms. Mrugjara is generally very kind, compassionate, and willing to listen to people, but he has a fairly short temper, and he can be fairly passive-aggressive if he is in a bad mood. (So Basil?-Moontear) (HEY!-Basil)

favorite extinct animal? 🦖
OMG THANK YOU SO MCYH FOR ASKINF my favorite extinct animal is my favorite animal overall and it is the ANKYLOSAURUS!!! and since i am 7-year-old boy levels of dinosaur obsessed i'm gonna hit you with some ankylosaurus facts whether you like it or not
1. ankylosaurus went extinct near the end of the cretaceous period, about 66 million years ago -- it was one of the last non-avian dinosaur species alive! this also means it lived alongside tyrannosaurus and triceratops.
2. ankylosaurus was an herbivorous species, so to defend itself, it had a tail with a club that looked similar to its head! predators would bite down on the tail instead of the head and then get clubbed! it also had full-body armor in the form of fused bones (mainly in its skull) which is where it gets the name "fused lizard".
3. ankylosaurus lived in modern-day wyoming, montana, and parts of canada like saskatchewan. it mainly ate low vegetation, as it did not have the power or ability to reach tall trees, so it was suited for the grassland the area is known as today!
i hope this has convinced you to love ankylosaurus as much as i have because they were beautiful and i love them <3

Montana, 108 million years ago; it's the middle of the dry season and a lone Sauropelta edwardsorum calmly makes it's way down to the shallow water way that meanders it's way through the land. At just under 20 feet long, it has little to fear from predators, its body hardened by thick scales, boney protrusions, and massive spikes. As it reaches the water, it is confronted by another local resident, one sporting armor not dissimilar to it's own.
S. edwardsorum was a member Nodosaur family, a group of armored dinosaurs that belonged to the same sub order as other armored dinosaurs like Ankylosaurus. Nodosaurs and Akylosaurs differ from each other in a few key ways, possessing narrow skulls and lacking their cousin's famous tail clubs, usually sporting large shoulder spikes in their place.
Sauropelta was discovered in the 1930s by Barnum Brown, but wasn't named until 1970 by John Ostrom.

Ooooh my God this made me so incredibly happy thank you thank you
LONG ASS POST INCOMING!!!
So
As much as I tried I could not free my brain from the clutches of wings of fire, so you will find elements of that in every dragon. I did get the tail idea from sandwings, but spy's tail is not venomous, just very sharp and painful with the barbs, and yes it's definitely used like a whip!! His tail is also prehensile, so he can grab and hold things.
Heavy is definitely damaged by the heat more than others, and dislikes the desert where they fight. But that's pretty similar to normal heavy. And yes, the ice club on his tail is used as a battering ram, similar to ankylosaurus, however its not actually ice. It's made of the same material as his horns and teeth, so if it shatters (ow) then it can be fixed by the medigun.
Thanks!! I love demo's wingfins. He can't propel himself through the air, but he can glide long distances and of course is an extremely powerful swimmer. When he charges, he uses his wings to direct himself so he can go quite high.
Medic was definitely made to be very dove like, and yes Archimedes and his other doves are present in this au. They like to nestle in his feathers :). The thing on his tail is the syringe gun!! Because he carries a lot of equipment, his hands are full with the medigun so his tail aims the syringes.
Ahaaa pyro is definitely a hairless chihuahua, think perrito from puss in boots lmfao. The fire primarily comes out of the front snoot of his mask, but can also come out of the two sides if he wants to go big. Maybe smoke could come out of the mask if he's happy or excited.
Scout I imagine is like one of those dogs that rubs so fast their claws skid on the floor, he has terrible grip. Crashes so much, especially with his speed. The uncontrolled fire mimics his play style, close range and packs a punch. Think his scattergun. But it could also be his personality :) and his bag is the same as the satchel on his back on the normal design.
I was definitely trying to go for a griffin vibe on sniper, so thanks for noticing!! He does make his own arrows, it's just a power move to skewer someone with an arrow from his own feathers. He has very good balance and can stand on his hind legs for long periods of time. And omg he so does hang upside down, that's perfect.
And you pretty much nailed soldier!! I thought about making the helmet fit around his horns but having it dangling is just more him. His powerful wings are meant to mimic rocket jumping, so he would 'market garden'you by bashing you into the ground.
And ooooh man you interpreted engie perfectly, like you noticed everything I would want someone to notice. Yes, he's very strong and sturdy, yes it hurt to remove his wings but he's gotta do what he's gotta do, plus they would get in the way. And YESS he uses his breath for welding and such, he can also concentrate the jets in his hands to assist as well. They would get dirty but he'll probably invent a cover for them so they stay clean. His tail is the same case, he removed it for something more efficient. It's a welding tool, emits electricity (think a taser) and other functions.
And yes, I always thought that engie and spy seemed to have the most contact with administrator, so they have elements of purple in their design :DD
Thank you for the questions I love talking about them!!!!
You [points at you]
You're very cool, I love your TF2 Dragon AU- can you share some fun facts about the AU?

Me 😳
Ok ok ok so
There’s a lot of things about spy that I didn’t mention on the reference post. I was considering making him use a cloaking device like normal but it would be so much cooler if he just had that power, so spy can become invisible by appearing to dissipate into smoke. And, another thing, the reason why he has none of the normal merc gear on his body is because his weapons are his teeth and his tail. It’s not very noticeable, but his tail is sharp and can be used to stab people in the back in place of his knife, because it would be hard to use a butterfly knife with those hands. And his teeth, when he opens his mouth, are long and pointed like a vampire and are very venomous. It’s where he gets the nickname ‘snake’ from :>
Spy also passed his blue tone down to scout, but not his venom. Scout, spy and medic are all bipedal because I feel like spy and medic would rely on their hands a lot and being very precise, while scout is among the smallest and fastest so it would make sense for him to be bipedal. (I’m really wanting to draw scouts ma now I’m thinking of it)
It took me a bit to puzzle out the value of double jumping if every dragon (almost) can fly, so I’ve made it so that scouts double jumps are more of a speed boost. Like, he flaps his wings to get extremely fast for a bit. Scouts legs are also modelled after the dinosaur gallimimus, which has very short calves and thighs but long feet to lend to speed and agility.
It’s obvious, but sniper, soldier and medic are all bird-based. Because how could they not be. Sniper’s back legs are also those of a dingo and his bushman nature would lend to his patterns and colours being mainly for camouflage in the Australian landscape, so red dirt and brown. Dragon sniper uses his bow a lot more than the gun, as it works better while he’s flying. Soldier has very powerful wings that he uses to fly higher and at faster speeds than others. Medic has a very high endurance and often hovers behind others. Also, medic’s ubercharge briefly replaces the torn wing on heavy so that heavy can fly for the duration.
Fire breathers: Scout (sharp, uncontrolled bursts of fire), engineer (extremely hot flame, can produce magma), pyro (alllll the fire. So much fire in very large quantities)
None breathers: Medic (just sharp teeth but no venom), spy (potent venom), demoman (however, demo can breathe underwater) soldier (mouth’s just for yelling) and sniper (fire danger in the bush)
Misc: Heavy (breathes an icy vapour, which can shoot small ice crystals to harm enemies or just freeze them on the spot)
OMG IM SO SORRY MY DEMONS TOOK OVER AND I WROTE A FUCKIN PARAGRAPH
