I think the paint is watercolor?
Oh, that's so fun, Bubs!!
Yes, that definitely looks like watercolor.
Oh and I have the same dinosaur species in my toy collection, I think! :D
This is the dino species called Ankylosaurus, they where armored tanks of a dinosaurs!!
This impressive herbivore defended itself against predators, with its clubbed tail and spike-studded body.
They lived in the late Cretaceous period.

Do drow also have tails/what is your drow lore like?
yaaa we are thinking they will ^_^ fully @wii-snorkeling2006 's idea but we were thinking them having smth like club like tails kinda ankylosaurus esque iirc ! we havent fleshed out drow very much ill be honest 😭 i was thinking for the sake of not dying in 1 million details bc sorting out the plot is already kind of a crazy task, that we mainly focus on moon and sun elves ^_^ esp bc the whole story is themed around that kind of vibe, the eclipse related title, roe being a sun elf and pewter cursed by a moon elf goddess 💫
but we have talked a bit about the drow!! we were talking about roe and pewter having to visit there at some point and it being awkward culturally ^_^ we were thinking theyre still the kind of like.. AJDKKG bdsm matriarchy misandrist vibe that they are in canon.. i think its fun + silly 💖 this is them at some drow party idk 💫

Nodosaurus. . Nodosaurus was a heavily armoured dinosaur similar to the much more famous Ankylosaurus. However it and other Nodosaurids can be distinguished from that group by the absence of a tail club, which all Ankylosaurids had. It’s one of the few dinosaur groups that we know for certain almost exactly what it looked like as a closely related dinosaur, Borealopelta, was found articulated with its fossilised soft tissue intact. . . . . . . . . . #nodosaurus #nodosauridae #ankylosaur #dinosaur #dinoart #dinoartist #dinosaurart #paleoart #dinoartwork #dinosaurartwork #prehistoric #prehistoricanimals #mesozoic #cretaceous #cretaceousperiod #stylisedart #stylizedart #dinosaurs https://www.instagram.com/p/CodRIIVqrEB/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

little!jeongyeon hc
(i caved. i just couldn’t not write them)
little!jeong is all about dinos & dogs. her favorite dinosaur is the ankylosaurus because of its club tail and the bony plates that act like armor
her most favorite shows in the whole world are paw patrol and bluey. her favorite character in paw patrol is Rex because he’s the dino pup and she thinks his wheelchair is super cool!
she absolutely has to have her weighted dinosaur stuffy with her at all times. unless she’s in the bath or walking around somewhere with her mamas, she needs it
her pacifier she uses occasionally also has a little tiny dino stuffy attached to the end and she’s got matching dinosaur jammies to go with it
she’s not a picky eater and tteokbokki is her favorite. if her mamas would let her, she would eat it for every meal of the day (they say that she has to eat vegetables though so she can be healthy)
little!jeong loves playing with tzu because tzu also loves puppies and she knows a lot of facts about different puppies
bath time (other than when it’s her birthday or she’s really sleepy) is her favorite time of the day. she likes playing with her bath toys and making up little games
if she’s grumpy, watch out. she’s usually grumpy when she needs a nap but that’s the last thing she’ll let her mamas do for her. she’ll try to whine her way out of a nap but eventually her sleepiness kicks in and she’s curled up in her mamas arms
other than being grumpy due to a lack of sleep, jeong is really easy. she eats well, sleeps well, and likes to play with all the littles
little!jeong, unlike big jeong, loves cuddles. she becomes extra cuddly and always wants her mamas to pay attention when she’s showing them a picture she colored, one of her dinosaur toys, or a new game she made up
she’s loud. she’s almost louder than hyo and nayeon but not quite. get the three of them in a room and you’ll have to wear earplugs
she knows how to get out of trouble and the easiest way to melt her mamas hearts whenever she wants something. she can be a little sneaky that way but it’s usually just to get a little extra food or to stay up five minutes past her bedtime
much like big jeong, little!jeong is a goofy girl. she loves making her mamas laugh and she’s able to take care of the other littles when they’re sad the best because she can always make them laugh and feel better
one time jeong was trying to get ice cream out of the freezer when she wasn’t supposed to and she used a step stool. she ended up falling and that was a whole ordeal so step stools are off limits in the house for jeong unless it’s an emergency
she snores in her sleep but it’s very quiet and cute. it’s honestly almost like she’s purring like a little kitten it’s so soft
little!jeong’s favorite thing to do with her mamas is wake them up. she’ll run into their bedroom and jump on them, kissing all over their faces until they end up tickling her to get her off
her favorite nicknames are absolutely: jeongie, bub, and peanut
her other favorite food is — you guessed it: dino nuggets! she kind of complains sometimes about how they’re not accurately shaped and her mamas have to remind her that they’re just food and not the pictures in her books or her toys so they don’t have to be super accurate
this conversation led to jeong writing a letter to the company in green gel pen. her mamas never sent it, but they do have it tucked away in their sock drawer because it was so cute
little!jeong’s favorite holiday is christmas. she loves all the lights and the snow. she likes getting presents, but what she loves is being able to be with all her unnies and eating cookies. she always bakes with tzu and momo when it’s christmas
she regresses almost the least out of the members but when she does, they all absolutely adore her. she gets so much cuddlier and she gets very chatty, saying whatever’s on her mind. no one can resist the little and her sweet laugh and smile
i have a lot more little!jeong thoughts in my head, but for now here’s a few :)

A relative of such armored giants such as Ankylosaurus and Tarchia, Anodontosaurus lambei (Lambe’s toothless lizard) is a decently-sized ankylosaur. Just like its relatives, this creature was covered in osteoderms from head to toe, and came equipped with a fearsome-looking tail club, looking a bit similar to a pointy hammer. While this beast mainly ate plants, it has been known to head into burnt forests to feed on charcoal, a very essential part of dealing with the toxins of the plants that it eats.

favorite extinct animal? 🦖
OMG THANK YOU SO MCYH FOR ASKINF my favorite extinct animal is my favorite animal overall and it is the ANKYLOSAURUS!!! and since i am 7-year-old boy levels of dinosaur obsessed i'm gonna hit you with some ankylosaurus facts whether you like it or not
1. ankylosaurus went extinct near the end of the cretaceous period, about 66 million years ago -- it was one of the last non-avian dinosaur species alive! this also means it lived alongside tyrannosaurus and triceratops.
2. ankylosaurus was an herbivorous species, so to defend itself, it had a tail with a club that looked similar to its head! predators would bite down on the tail instead of the head and then get clubbed! it also had full-body armor in the form of fused bones (mainly in its skull) which is where it gets the name "fused lizard".
3. ankylosaurus lived in modern-day wyoming, montana, and parts of canada like saskatchewan. it mainly ate low vegetation, as it did not have the power or ability to reach tall trees, so it was suited for the grassland the area is known as today!
i hope this has convinced you to love ankylosaurus as much as i have because they were beautiful and i love them <3

Unraveling the Mysteries: The Science Behind the Most Popular Dinosaurs
Our minds are still captured by the enormous animals that once roamed the Earth: dinosaurs. We explore the scientific mysteries behind some of the most well-known most popular dinosaurs on this historical voyage, revealing the traits that keep them so interesting.
Tyrannosaurus Rex: The King of Dinosaurs
The legendary Tyrannosaurus Rex, sometimes referred to as T. rex, is the most recognizable dinosaur. It is a fearsome character in popular dinosaurs mythology because of its enormous stature, strong teeth, and little arms. Scientists examine fossils to learn more about the morphology, behavior, and ecological function of Tyrannosaurus rex. Even with its intimidating image, further study reveals this enormous carnivore's more complex sides.
Stegosaurus: Decoding the Unique Features of the Armored Dinosaur
Stegosaurus is sometimes called the armored dinosaur due to its characteristic spikes and plates. Previously considered exclusively defensive, these traits are now understood to be involved in controlling the dinosaur's body temperature. The function of these plates and their importance in Stegosaurus' everyday existence are still being investigated by scientists.
Velociraptor: The Swift Hunter and Its Role in Dinosaur Pop Culture
The Hollywood portrayal of the Velociraptor differs from the popular cultural portrayal, which shows it as a quick and crafty predator. It wasn't the nimble hunter that Hollywood portrayed; it was a smaller dinosaur with feathers. Comprehending the actual traits of Velociraptors advances our understanding of the variety and development of dinosaurs.
Triceratops: The Horned Herbivore and its Prehistoric Habitat
The triceratops dinosaur was a herbivore identified by its three characteristic horns and frill. Researchers study its morphology to learn how these traits were applied in relationships with other dinosaurs and defense. The fossilized bones of triceratops provide information about its habitat and range in the prehistoric past.
Brachiosaurus: Exploring the Giant Long-Necked Dinosaur
Brachiosaurus was a massive herbivore distinguished by its long neck and massive size. Research is still being done to determine why it has such a lengthy neck and what adaptations it has made to accommodate its enormous size. Recent finds clarify the possible lifestyle of the Brachiosaurus and its contribution to its era's biodiversity.
Ankylosaurus: The Tank-Like Dinosaur with a Built-In Weapon
Ankylosaurus was armored and possessed a tail club, like a prehistoric tank. Researchers look at Ankylosaurus's defense mechanisms and how it interacts with possible predators. Researching this dinosaur that resembles a tank offers important insights into the ecosystems of the late Cretaceous.
Pterosaurs: Flying Reptiles of the Dinosaur Era
Pterosaurs were flying reptiles that were frequently connected to dinosaurs. Our understanding of prehistoric skies is aided by our comprehension of the differences between dinosaurs and pterosaurs and their different species and flying capabilities. As avian residents of prehistoric ecosystems, pterosaurs had a special function.
Spinosaurus: The Aquatic Dinosaur and Its Mysterious Lifestyle
The dinosaur that adapted to water the existence of Spinosaurus challenges the idea that dinosaurs were terrestrial creatures. Research into the potential aquatic behavior, diet, and habitat of dinosaurs adds to our understanding of the variety of dinosaurs and the environments they inhabit.
Dinosaur Extinction: What Caused the End of the Age of Dinosaurs?
Theories about impact events and environmental modifications that could have aided in the demise of dinosaurs are currently being investigated. Understanding the circumstances leading up to the end of the Mesozoic Era can help us understand more about Earth's past. The current study aims to unravel the riddles surrounding this significant period in the history of the dinosaurs.
Conclusion
We learn about the most recent advancements and discoveries in paleontology by exploring the science underlying the most popular dinosaurs. The remarkable diversity and adaptability of these prehistoric animals are better understood by researchers who can bring dinosaurs back to life via cutting-edge scientific tools and fossil analysis. Scientific research into the past broadens our comprehension of the planet's prehistoric inhabitants and their persistent mysteries.

🔑 Mrugjara Lightninghorn
Report:Thundersaurus. (Private no. Don't call him that.)
He is a 14 foot tall anthropomorphic genetically hybrid of a Triceratops, a Nasutoceratops, an Ankylosaurus, and a Zuu crurivastator He has a rather large head, a short, thick neck, a large roughly barrel-shaped torso, two thick muscular arms, two thick muscular legs and a long, thick, muscular tail that is tipped with a large club(feels like a rock-Private). He also has broad shoulders. The sides and back of his neck and his back, sides, limbs, and tail are covered in large osteoderms. He does not have osteoderms on his chest, stomach, and the inner sides of his limbs. The club on the end of his tail is 36 inches long, 34 inches wide and 30 inches thick at its thickest point, and his tail club weighs nearly 90 pounds. The osteoderms on the sides of his tail are roughly triangular in shape, and they point towards the end of his tail. The osteoderms on his limbs are wide and flattened. The osteoderms on his neck, body and tail are pointed and very sharp, and the osteoderms on his neck and torso are all very large, while the osteoderms on his tail get smaller as they get closer to his tail club. His skin is mostly a stony gray color, and his osteoderms are covered in black keratin sheaths. The skin on the underside of his neck and the inner sides of his limbs is light gray, and the skin on his chest, stomach, and the underside of his tail is also light gray. He has five fingers on each hand and four hoofed toes on each foot. His entire tail is quite flexible. His head very closely resembles the head of a Triceratops, but he has large nasal passages like a Nasutoceratops. He has neon blue eyes that glow in the dark. He has two 5-inch long tusks on his lower jaw, right in front of his lower teeth. These tusks are fully exposed, and they are rather thick and end in rounded tips. His frill is 4 feet long and 5 feet wide, and each of his brow horns is 4 feet long. His nose horn is 14 inches long. The last 6 inches of all his horns glow bright neon blue, and all his horns resemble the horns of a Triceratops. He has small triangular spikes on the edges of his frill. His fingers are tipped with blunt hoof-like claws. He weighs just over 23500 pounds. (The claws seem good at digging)
He is 55 years old. He is highly intelligent, and he speaks English, French, and Spanish. He has a very deep, somewhat imposing voice. He is surprisingly agile despite his size and armor, and he is also incredibly strong and highly resilient. He has an excellent sense of smell and excellent hearing, and he also has binocular vision. Although he has binocular vision, he also has mild nearsightedness caused by an astigmatism in his right eye, so he has to wear custom-made prescription glasses to see clearly. Mrugjara can produce large amounts of electricity within his body, and he can electrify his horns and osteoderms.(note to self do not let near magnets) He can also electrify his fists and shoot orbs of ball lightning from his palms. Mrugjara is generally very kind, compassionate, and willing to listen to people, but he has a fairly short temper, and he can be fairly passive-aggressive if he is in a bad mood. (So Basil?-Moontear) (HEY!-Basil)
Threat level:HARMLESS

Montana, 108 million years ago; it's the middle of the dry season and a lone Sauropelta edwardsorum calmly makes it's way down to the shallow water way that meanders it's way through the land. At just under 20 feet long, it has little to fear from predators, its body hardened by thick scales, boney protrusions, and massive spikes. As it reaches the water, it is confronted by another local resident, one sporting armor not dissimilar to it's own.
S. edwardsorum was a member Nodosaur family, a group of armored dinosaurs that belonged to the same sub order as other armored dinosaurs like Ankylosaurus. Nodosaurs and Akylosaurs differ from each other in a few key ways, possessing narrow skulls and lacking their cousin's famous tail clubs, usually sporting large shoulder spikes in their place.
Sauropelta was discovered in the 1930s by Barnum Brown, but wasn't named until 1970 by John Ostrom.

A New Species of Armored Dinosaur Discovered in Chile
It had a weaponized tail not seen before in any other dinosaur.
Roughly 2 meters (6.5 feet) in size, the small armored dinosaur called an ankylosaur dates from the late Cretaceous period, around 71.7 million to 74.9 million years ago. Its largely complete fossilized skeleton was found in Magallanes province in Patagonia, Chile's southernmost region.
Chilean paleontologist Sergio Soto was the lead author of the study.
The dinosaur, named Stegouros elengassen, had evolved a large tail weapon unlike those seen in other armored dinosaurs such as the paired spikes of Stegosaurus and the club-like tail of Ankylosaurus.
While its skull had features in common with other ankylosaurs, its tail weaponry was "bizarre," according to the study, which was published in the journal Nature on Wednesday. The dinosaur's tail had seven pairs of flattened, bony deposits fused together in a frond-like structure.
"The tail is extremely strange, as it is short for a dinosaur and the posterior half is encased in dermal bones (bones that grow in the skin) forming a unique (tail) weapon," said Sergio Soto Acuña, main author of the study and a doctoral student at the Universidad de Chile, via email.
He said it resembled the tail of a rattlesnake or spiny-tailed lizard. But unlike these creatures, the dinosaur possessed true bones under the scales. The most similar feature would be the tail of a giant armadillo, but they are also extinct, he added.
Stegouros, which means "roofed tail" in Greek and "elenggassen" is from Aonikenk, the language of the original inhabitants of Patagonia, and refers to a mythological armored beast. The fossil was found in 2018.
The study noted that very few ankylosaurs had been found from southern Gondwana -- the lower part of the ancient supercontinent Pangea.
"Unlike the ankylosaurs of the northern hemisphere, our new dinosaur possesses light armor, slender legs, and a smaller size," he said.
The fossilized plants discovered in the same region indicate that the climate was warmer when this dinosaur inhabited the place -- very different from the current cold climate prevailing in Patagonia.

Ooh, that's a good choice. The fused lizard, or Ankylosaurus, is very good at defending itself with its club-like tail.
What's your favorite dinosaur.
-🦖
( @awesomesaurus-rex )
Oh finally, an easy thing to answer! I'm partial to any armored dinosaur of course but my personal favorite is the ever popular Ankylosaurus.
