Ride 795: The peak of their limits!!

Pag 1
2: Isn't there anything I can do?
3: Listen to him
4: You don't have to say anything back, you can just nod
5: Just listen to his nonsense
6: Like always
8: To... Toudou-san

Pag 2
1: He'll arrive soon
2: In just a few minutes he'll pass on this road right before our eyes
4: There's no need to stay back
5: Right now, he's fighting
6: He's running against his rival for “the last kilometer”....
His muscles are aflame, he's wiping away his sweat, and his body is screaming

Pag 3
1: His limbs are numb because the blood isn't flowing until his extremities
His heart rate is at its limit, his body feels like it's in danger and is trying to stop moving
2: He's fighting against his own body that's trying to stop, and against his rival who's moving forward
It's the “peak of their limits”
3: The peak of... their limits
4: That's the fight he wanted
5: Watch him closely
Call out to him with me and he'll be happy
6: Don't worry
Racers recognize even the quietest voice
And then

Pag 4
1: they can turn them into power!!

Pag 5
1: Sooreeeee
2: 700m left until the mountain line!!
They're lined up!! They're neck and neck!!
So close!

Pag 6
1: 600m left!!
2: The race passes through the intersections with Mt. Hiko's trailhead!!
Goo Hakogaku!!
Don't lose, Chiba!!
They're neck and neck!!

Pag 7
1: Neither of them is stopping!!

Pag 9
2: So much sweat is falling on the road!!
3: They're passing through the last intersection and then will face the final gate
4: They're entering a narrow road!!

Pag 10
1: 500m left!!
2: They're still pedaling!!

Pag 11
1: Since earlier my fingers in my right shoes
2: keep getting cramps
3: The blood isn't reaching their tips
4: It's not, but
6: I'll keep turning my legs!!
7: I'll tighten up my shoes to reduce the pain!!

Pag 12
1: Mountain King tightened his shoe's dial!!
Woah he's serious!!
2: What does it mean!?
Biking shoes have a dial
3: During a long race, cyclists' feet get thinner, so they turn their shoes' dial up to tighten and secure their feet in preparation for the final dash
Wire
Depending on the direction you turn the dial, it tighten or become loose
4: In the scene of European races, it's something cyclists do a lot to prepare for the race before the finish line!!
5: Is Mountain Kind going to attack here!?
But right now it looked like he was trying to avoid the pain in his leg

Pag 13
1: This is bad!!
It's not just my fingers
My arms have lost feeling too when I'm dancing
3: But it's okay, it's just right
My legs are moving
4: And you're next to me!!
We're still fighting!!

Pag 14
1: If my arms won't move then I can just swing my bike from my shoulders!!

Pag 15
1: Manami attacked again!!
Amazing!
He's going!!
2: In the hardest section!!
He's leaving Mountain King behind using his dancing!!

Pag 16
1: He's opening a gap between himself and Sohoku's Mountain King!!
3: Mountain King is in a tough spot!!
4: He instinctively dropped his head!!

Pag 17
1: Try to have fun, Onoda
4: Races are hard
5: When your opponent accelerates in an unexpected moment, when the attack is stronger than you had imagined
6: Remember

Pag 18
1: You can't win a race without going through tough times
2: Teshma-san....
3: “Just before” means that there are many options
Like, will my opponent get exhausted? Could he make a mistake? You'll be thinking like that
4: Surprisingly, victory or defeat depend on these little things

Pag 19
1: Well, that's just my advice though
I actually always end up slowing down at critical moments, and so I lose
2: That's not true at all!! At this year's Inter High it was Teshima-san who won the mountain prize!! Thank you so much for that!!
I get it, I get it
3: Well, you're an earnest person and won two times already, so it's like I'm preaching to the choir
4: But there are times when you're weak
5: I've seen that many times too
9: During a race, when it's “just before”, just remember this
10: When there is both a hard road and an easy road

Pag 20
1: Don't hesitate to take the hard road!!
2: Right now for a moment, I was thinking “why am I going now” and “when it's hard to breathe”!!

Pag 21
2: My chest hurts!!
3: My legs hurt!!
4: But still!!
6: I'll choose what to chase!!

Pag 22
1: Mountain King is accelerating and chasing!!
Aaaaaagh
4: Sangaku!!
5: I'm ready!!

Here's the thing. I'm a girl, and as a girl, I really like it when girls are portrayed in fiction. Especially fantasy.
But so much fiction/fantasy mixes up 'girls' with 'unstoppable forces of female badass' and there's not necessarily anything wrong with having a character who is an 'unstoppable forces of female badass'. But it gets old real quick. And it is not the same as portraying normal girls, or having good female characters.
And that's one of the many reasons I love Avatar the Last Airbender.
Because all the girl characters have flaws and weaknesses and sometimes act like idiots or jerks. They get emotional and make mistakes. They lose fights or arguments or are just wrong sometimes. Some of them are amazing warriors, and some aren't. Some are powerful or special and some are normal, with nothing special about them.
And I Love that.
I was around the same age as Katara when I first watched Atla. And I instantly connected with her as a character. I loved her optimistic attitude and her fighting spirit. And I could relate with her anger, and with her maternal instinct. I admired her fighting skills of course, but I loved how the show portrayed her compassion and kindness, the way she could both beat up a bunch of bullies AND enjoy a relaxing day at the spa. She was a baddass warrior that should never be crossed. But she was also a normal teenage girl who had a lot of the same internal struggles and problems that I did.
(I never connected to Toph on the same level, but I did relate to her on a few things. She's an adorable trash gremlin who would commit any crime for fun and I love that. But she struggles with being both independent and letting people help her, and I still struggle with that sometimes. I've learned that sometimes, you can help others by letting them help you.)
Yue is, in my opinion, a perfect example of a type of hero that seems to be disappearing. She is not a warrior. She is not a fighter. She's not even a bender.
Yue is a perfect princess, a perfect daughter. She is extremely feminine in a rather older sense.
And she was the only one who could save the world. She gave up everything for her people. She saved everything, everyone, the entire world. Without ever becoming a fighter.
Yue is a perfect example of a girl who was never more than a girl, and how that's okay. Not every girl has to be rough and tumble and fight for her rights in order to change everything. Sometimes it's okay to just be a quiet obedient girly girl. Sometimes that's all it takes to be a hero.
And I love that. Yue is strong in her own way. She is unique and interesting. She appears in only a few episodes and yet manages to be one of my favorite characters.
Song is another great example of this. Song is a healer in a small town. We don't see much of her but we see her compassion and empathy. She is gentle and generous. A healer not a fighter.
She watches Zuko steal her ostrich horse and does nothing.
Is that because she's kind and generous and knows he needs it more? Or is it because she's a healer girl who knows she can't actually stop those two from taking the horse? Maybe neither, maybe both. I have always thought that the scene where Zuko steals the horse and only the audience knows she saw it is one of the most thought-provoking in the series.
Suki is a badass warrior woman who is an awesome fighter and good leader. She is one of the best non bender fighter we see in the entire show. She was one of the smartest, most efficient, and powerful characters we ever saw.
She kissed a boy she had just met because she thought he was cute.
Now don't get me wrong I love SokkaxSuki. Its one of the best couples in the show.
But Suki totally did the old 'love at first sight' thing. And that is awesome. Because when she kisses him she delivers one of the best lines, not only from her, but, I think, in the entire show.
"I AM a warrior, but I'm a girl too."
Being a warrior doesn't mean that she isn't also a teenage girl. She might be a fighter, but she still gets crushes and likes to flirt with cute boys. And hey, she picked a good one. Not every boy is going to come break you out of prison.
Anyways, let's have more realistic girls in fiction. And please enjoy the next 24 hours.

Secret Relationships Colors
There is a lot of black in this show since everyone is holding onto secrets, so when the posters for this show were initially released, I questioned why they were PowerPuff Girls' colors, but as the show's twists and turns have been revealed, it all started to make pefect sense.

Blue - Seong Hyeon
Seong Hyeon is a loyal and intelligent man which are key traits of a Blue Boy.
The first time he rescued Daon, he was wearing blue, and he was brought to the team because he was a superstar in his previous department.
He is honest about his feelings and constantly makes sure that Daon knows how he feels even if he isn't physically there.
However, Blue Boys are prone to sadness as well, but they tend to bounce back with a little push from the right people.
And what's strange is Su Hyeon could've been a Blue Boy too, especially because their romanized names look so similar.
So just like Seong Hyeon, Su Hyeon could've been just as loyal to Daon in his blue.
But there is always something lingering around him, something boiling underneath the surface, something festering just beneath his casual exterior.
And when it's finally unleashed, it becomes a vicious monster.
Green - Su Hyeon
Green Guys, when at their best, are chill and peaceful, but at their worst, they are easily prone to jealously, they are envious, and they are rotten to the core.
Su Hyeon can act the part of a chill guy, but the moment he is provoked, the beast inside comes out just like when he was at the dinner and saw the man who assaulted Daon.
Or like when he dragged Daon inside his apartment and told him to never look at Seong Hyeon like that again.
And although I believed Su Hyeon didn't turn green until the night of the assault when he used the green bottle to attack the man in the green room, it actually started before then.
The gift Daon got Su Hyeon was green, so he must have known some small aspect of Su Hyeon's true color, right?
And he also had Su Hyeon in his phone under a green-colored contact card.
Which is ironic since Su Hyeon also has someone in his phone who lights up his screen in a decaying green color.
After all, he learned how to turn into a green monster from his father.
But the real monster in this story is the sneaky devil Su Hyeon made a deal with all those years ago.
Pink - Jaemin
Pink People are normally compassionate and friendly, but when they don't get their way, they can become overemotional and childish.
Much like Su Hyeon, Jaemin hides his true color well, but it's always been there, slowly suffocating him around his neck every time he felt his grip on Daon slipping.
And just like Su Hyeon, Daon was aware in some small way of Jaemin's true color because not only did Jaemin offer him pink coffee cups when they met in the first episode and pink plates to eat off of at his apartment, but just like Su Hyeon, Daon wanted to gift Jaemin the perfect color-coded gift.
The worst part of all of this is Jaemin really does love Daon, but pink is simply a tint of red, and we all know what Red Rascals are capable of when they lose control.
And perhaps Jaemin knows he has already lost because no matter how tight-lipped Daon may be, he always gives away who has his heart through his color, and I'm not referring to the color-coded gifts.
Daon
Daon wore a green jacket when he liked Su Hyeon, and Su Hyeon now wants to give him his ring. Daon has lived in an apartment with a pink exterior since he has become closer to Jaemin over the past seven years, and Jaemin gives him a scarf to wear. But now there is a new (blue) boy in town who wipes Daon's face with a blue cloth and reminds Daon of himself.
And not only did that Blue Boy color-coordinate outfits with Daon for work, but he came prepared to love Daon.
In all the exact ways he needs.
So let's see if Daon gives his Blue Boy the perfect color-coded gift or will this love allow Daon to finally embrace his own color instead of conforming to what everyone else wants (which I think is yellow since Jaemin has a yellow pillow, Daon was lit by yellow when Su Hyeon rescued him, and he has warm lighting when wearing blue plus countless other instances!).
But either way, I'll be delighted.
#secret relationships#secret relationships the series#color coded boys in love#the colors mean things#it hit me like a pan to the head in episode six#and I had to sit there all day to wait to write this#but once again this thirty image limit is hindering my ability to convey all my points#there are so many blues and greens but I have a picture limit!#I think Daon is yellow but I'll wait until the finale to share that if I'm right#if I'm wrong then this never happened

Emotional Growth in 9-1-1
This newest episode is so interesting, because looking at Eddie it becomes obvious that we are looking at a man who is emotionally neglected and stuck at the age that he got Shannon pregnant.
Because he is.
He had a kid so young that he never had the chance to figure out who he was as a person, and then he used his identity from the military straight into the LAFD as trying to tell himself that he's someone who saves other people.
He also felt like he was saving Christopher when he became a single father, so that was an easy transition for him.
But then Christopher goes and makes an emotional decision to leave, and I feel like a part of Eddie is only just realizing that he never had that autonomy at any point in his life and it's sort of this panicked knee-jerk reaction to go straight out to him because he doesn't know what else to do and doesn't have the emotional maturity to stand up to the consequences of his actions and try to fix himself.
We see this in the way he is doing things like growing a mustache or shaving it off and then reenacting Risky Business.
He's not facing the emotions.
He's avoiding them...
...versus Buck who has had the chance to experience a lot of the world because he was emotionally neglected. He went out and traveled the world and figured out what parts of himself that he liked and didn't like, and then became a firefighter because he knew he wanted to help people (even though that is a part of his trauma, the people pleasing, most of it is completely honest).
We see him in therapy several times, and it's obvious that over the seasons he has been trying to come to terms with the darker parts of himself.
And now he's at a point in his life where he's just discovering another part of his identity, he's now finally secure in it...and then when Tommy left it felt like part of him was leaving.
Buck's endgame has to be Tommy because it's the only thing that makes sense in terms of his character arc.
To fall in love and make that home.
Because unlike Eddie, Buck has had the chance to have a lot of different relationships in several different ways, so he knows what it's like to have an infatuation versus actually being in love, and Tommy feels very emotionally different from every single other relationship that we've seen him have on screen.
The only relationship in which we saw Buck being himself.
The only relationship where he felt seen.
The only relationship where he was happy.
The only relationship where he was finally Evan, without the trauma behind his name anymore, and not just "Buck".
...and the fact that we have seen Tommy's character in previous flashbacks as part of all of the "Begins" episodes, it would be the perfect parallel for Tommy to be where Buck ends and Evan begins.
By Eddie running away to Texas and letting Buck stay in his house, it is very synonymous with how Buck is stepping into that chapter of his life of settling down and creating his own family outside of anyone else's expectations.
Eddie was Buck's first real friend in the 118, one of the first ones to start to let him feel seen.
...but now Buck no longer needs that constant validation. He is stepping into a much more healed version of himself, even if he still is a little bit impulsive sometimes—though his impulsiveness can be good, we've seen that on the job. It's saved more than a few lives when no one else might have taken the risk.
Because of how Buck has grown, we have seen him actively learning from his mistakes—versus Eddie, who is still running from them, which is why this plot line makes a lot of sense to me.
Eddie can't grow where is.
Buck can.
That's why Buck living in Eddie's house is so symbolic, because it's a way of showing how different the two of them are now. Buck can grow and move forward in a place that Eddie was never able to.
He recognizes change and embraces it. He jumps into the unknown with two feet—it's the one thing we have seen consistently from him over the seasons, and I think this is where Buck is taking a moment to breathe and really think about what he wants next.
If the writers do it right, we will see Buck settling into himself even more...
...and then reach back out to Tommy.
Feeling more settled, he and Tommy will finally talk and all of their issues will be dragged out into the open and dealt with.
They both acted impulsively but in different directions when they broke up, and I think this season will be about Buck finally slowing down and looking before he leaps.
But he'll still leap ;)

manehare analysis i looooove this freakish duo.
on the surface this team seems very sudden and doesn't make sense i mean they were enemies for such a long time, however, i think they make Perfect Sense Actually.
manehare makes sense because both of them gives what the other wants while acknowledging the place they are coming from. they have a distrust now but i think if they play it right they can have something that lasts across seasons.
we got confirmation today manepear really just loves his little chunguses. (his comment about being a mama bear really stands out to me it was awesome). we saw it earlier in the server with zam, then later with wemmbu and bacon. but all 3 of them didnt satisfy mane in the way he wanted. zam was friendly with the brothers but he was for the most part self sufficient, mane let wemmbu into the bandits thinking he would have to be taken care of but it turns out wemmbu was secretly good at pvp and while he lazy could take care if himself in a fight. bacon never wanted to play ball with mane and refused his advances.
however kab is perfeeeect for mane, she needs his help and his protection but she isnt lazy like wemmbu was. she's intelligent, cunning, and willing to learn so he gets all if the ego boosting of taking care of someone who wants his help but none of the annoyance of a resource drainer (sorry wemmbu but its true 😭).
mane is also perfect for kab, he's filling the void clown has left.
since the start of the season kab has wanted a powerful ally who can stand beside her when she wants them to, someone who can guide her, but someone who is also willing to crush her enemies when asked. she thought clown would be that but when given the opportunity he's been lack luster in the role. she then turned to zam as a guide and a teammate, but he didn't want to be her guiding light and thought it was far too sudden to team plus he was unwilling to do her dirty work so kazam fell apart.
mane, however, has a deep blood lust (wanting to death ban all the revived people is the most notable example of this) so he's perfectly fine with carrying out kab's plans as long as it means they agree on killing. he's also willing to train kab without her having to prove herself like she has to with clown (its in my personal opinion kab would have never proven herself to clown. not because she isn't good but because clown simply isnt interested in her development but thats another matter).
in my opinion the 14 killings is actually really good for this team! it means that kab cannot idolize mane the same way she did clown or zam because she knows that no matter what, mane is dangerous, he's able to kill her and is more than willing to kill her. and for mane despite the 14 killings kab still being willing to work with him must give him a crazy amount of validation because it proves that no matter what happened before kab needs him now
i think as long as the focus on their shared goal they can build a real trust with each other. not like a "i trust you not to kill me" trust but a trust the older lifesteal pairs have, that "i know how you think i know you inside and out and no matter what happens we will comeback together" trust.
however they still have all the potential in the world to fall apart in a pretty spectacular way. like if one of them gets too paranoid and betrays the other, or if they're influenced to betray by people outside the dynamic, or maybe kab's planning to betray from the start and we're all fools for thinking manehare could ever work, or simply losing sight of their shared goal and becoming enemies again. all those things could still happen!
no matter what i just love manehare as a duo. they indulge each other's deepest desires but they have so much potential to fuck it all up it a horrible terrible way. its such a careful balance with them im so excited to see where they go from here
#i know they started as allies at the beginning of the call but by the end of stream they were referring to themselves as a team#so im calling them a team#manehare#leooart#analysis

Mapicc just left the call and I have too many thoughts to wait until after I finish the vod.
it is so Fascinating to me how 1) Mapicc is good at communication and 2) how much he patiently bides his time.
Mapicc has been not putting his own desires (bloodlust) first ever since he ended the experiments. We saw all like last week how he was willing to not kill Kab for Zam and there was so much discussion over how much he will do anything for Zam because he just wants to be around Zam again.
And so he doesn't mind putting the bloodlust to the side as long as it makes Zam happy, because that makes him happy.
But this day Mapicc, once the imminent threat and fight was over, immediately got Zam into a call and confronted him about Derap and then, in the most, like, extremely confident and clear way, explained how Zam not letting him kill Derap made him feel.
He was up front about his emotions, did not project, deflect, or throw shade at Zam at all, and basically just let him know how he was upset that Zam got int the way of his kill and how much he did not like that.
MAPICC: "hmm. Okay. I get you're mr pacifist [..] saving people, but like, my kills are my kills.”
MAPICC: “yea I- they're like my justifications. You know what I mean? So it’s like, it sucks when like, my kills are fucked”
MAPICC: "and like if I had killed him you could have had the heart and then we could have had a better chance of killing the actual bad people. And what would derapchu have done? Had slightly less of his already way too many hearts”
After each of these point he pauses, letting Zam hear what he's saying, letting Zam process it, waiting for Zam to acknowledge where he was coming from.
And each time Zam agrees Mapicc is right. He sees Mapicc's point.
And then the most devotions comment of the conversation:
ZAM: "but should I be allowed to turn a blind eye in that sense?” MAPICC: "well I don't want to be in a situation where I can't talk about what kills I'm gonna get or what I’m doing and I have no backup, you know what I mean?”
He doesn't want to not be able to tell Zam what he's up to. He doesn't want that situation, so he's getting ahead of it and letting Zam know immediately how he feels.
I can't help but feel like this is exactly the reason why Zam always ends up with Mapicc in every season. He is incredibly good at communication and making his point and his opinion clear.
And because he has such a clear opinion on how the server works and what makes it work best, he is incredibly persuasive and Zam ends up following him wherever he goes. (I've heard whispers Zam is thinking of leaving now, haven't gotten there. will be interesting)
I've thought so much over the years how Lifesteal is about convincing other people to do your thing.
Walk into your trap, show up at a fight, yap with you, join your team, stop their lore, whatever it is, the entire thing revolves around persuasion.
Which brings me to the second point, Mapicc is incredibly patient.
The week before the experiments ended, in a muted stream that was saved on the archive, Bacon and Mapicc talk about the server, and Mapicc says his one main goal is to get all the pacifists to break. (9/4/24)
And a week before, while Zam was cleaning up the burned down tree, while talking about how quickly Flame gave up on his fight, Mapicc said, “He’s never fought princezam. He’s gonna have to learn like a new, like dedication to the sport” (8/25/24)
Now, I don't actually think Mapicc had some grad evil manipulation arc to get close to Zam and get him to break (though I'll admit at the time my brain automatically thought everyone is pulling a Spoke wormhole at all times)
But it is more that he realized he would be much more effective in getting Zam to change his opinions if he was close to Zam and could build the trust necessary to get him to see why Mapicc thought his view was flawed, and as an added bonus he would get to hang out with Zam a lot for free.
And here we finally had the perfect moment. Zam died in a fight. Because he had low hearts.
So Mapicc makes it clear how Zam's actions made him feel and then drives his point home about why Zam should think differently the rest of the conversation:
MAPICC: "it’s not cause you were playing shit it's cause you have nothing bro, and it's like, you're a crutch to yourself [..] which is like, you can be a crutch to yourself, but like mapicc is the healthcare” ZAM: "I wanna beat them in pvp. I wanna be able to take them on in a fight and win” MAPICC: “you know what you have to do for that?” ZAM: "*sigh* yea I- I do” ZAM: "and the only person who died in that fight was me” MAPICC: “[sing song] and you know why bro. Like genuinely. Like you can't keep doing this. Well, you can if you want to, I mean obviously you can if your morals, but like-... I don't think it’s the best move” ZAM: "and all I can do is just stand in the destruction” MAPICC: "yup"
Mapicc's ideology for the server is that fighting is always a good, conflict and content should happen all the time. You should kill because it progresses the server forward in some way. You should always have some reason to back up your murder, but that reason can be small, the only important thing is that you have a reason and it is something you can communicate.
He also thinks power is always a reason to kill someone.
Zam on the other hand, Mapicc's beloved friend, does not think the same way, at least not in full. Zam understands conflict should happen on the server, and that the powerful should be fought, and in those situations devotions flourish.
But Zam operates from a character motivation, which he will change season to season, and from his emotions, which means his opinion about himself and his past actions has a HUGE pull on why he does anything ever. This was literally the foundation of this entire stream starting with a 40 minute reflection on s4 and vitalasy.
They are fundamentally, for their deepest core perspectives, ideologically opposed for their opinions on how to act on the server.
Idk if they'll ever be able to be on the same team forever. Sometimes, for brief moments, everything lines up and their devotion runs wild. They work the most synergistically of any duo on lifesteal ever.
But then Mapicc's bloodlust gets too strong and Zam's emotions get too loud and things fall apart.
At least, historically.
(oh, and felt the need to add at the end here that operating from emotions is not a /neg statement. It is entirely /neutral in my mind)

Since no one else is doing it, let me do the job for them
May I ask for Nathaniel's relationship headcanons? Please keep it sfw!
We are the same, we're both down bad for this man 😄
RELATIONSHIP HEADCANONS: NATHANIEL
Alipede version
Fandom: Killer Peter
Pairing: Female reader x Nathaniel.
Ohhhh to date this man, it’s great, but also very difficult. It is worth it, though… Right?
A nerd at heart.
He’s an incredibly smart man, which was actually what caught your attention the first time you met him.
He’s just the kind of person who knows a little bit of everything. You can have a conversation with him about any subject and he’ll be able to follow.
It’s just sooo attractive to you to hear him speak on those things that he’s passionate about.
I also picture him as someone with a great sense of humor, maybe a bit dark sometimes, but he doesn’t fail to make you laugh.
The thing is, the more you get to know someone, the more you get to know the bad sides as well, and Nathaniel is not perfect.
He’s a very ambitious man. His ambition tends to be his main focus occasionally, which is a recurrent problem between you.
I believe that before his fight with Peter, he wouldn’t have been able to have a partner. His whole life revolved around getting stronger, so he didn’t even had the time to meet people, and no girl would want to date a guy who clearly doesn’t prioritize her.
With this, I don’t mean that he never had a partner, he had his good times back when he was younger, before obsessing with evolution and stuff. He’s a handsome man, women have always been interested.
But after the fight (and assuming he may be alive) he realized that he would never be the strongest human ever, it was a hard pill to swallow, but he’s not stupid. He knows that’s the way things are.
He probably had a lot of time to reminisce on his whole life, on his rights and wrongs.
And he realized that none of the things he had been missing out on had been worth it. That’s when new things started to come his way and he met you.
Meeting you after this realization of his was actually really good for him. It’s not easy to learn that everything you have worked for your whole life was for nothing, you know? This was a very dark time in his life.
In his mind, he had justified all the lives he had taken by pretending that it was for a greater good, for research and science.
But now he had the cold mind to understand that he had fucked up.
Having you around, someone who appreciated him despite who he was and what he had done was the only thing keeping him sane.
In case you met him without knowing of his past, he took a looong time to tell you himself. He was convinced that you would hate him and leave, and more importantly, he was incredibly, deeply, ashamed.
But just when he thought that he couldn’t love you more, you stayed even after knowing the truth.
You just saw things as they were, you know? The man you knew had a good heart. You had seen him taking care of his pediatric patients, taking care of you… he wasn’t a monster.
But good people do bad things too, and bad people can become good.
You truly changed his perspective on life. You showed him what the things that actually mattered were, and for the first time, he was no longer living just for himself.
Now, no one changes overnight. He’s still a proud, ambitious man. But he wouldn’t be himself if he wasn’t.
Sadly, you don’t get too see him as often as you’d like. He’s still a doctor, after all. His shifts are looooong, you can go full days without seeing him.
He’s a total workaholic. He sometimes even forgets to eat, but thankfully, that’s the perfect excuse for visiting him.
You have this little routine where you bring lunch to him on his breaks, and he loves it.
Those 20 minutes he gets to have a meal with you and talk are the best part of his day. Besides, it really warms his heart to know that you care that much for him.
And he also feels superior than all the other doctors who have wives who hate them or are already divorced
He can feel their jealousy.
I believe his work mates don’t like him very much to begin with because of how young he is and the fact that he’s already so high up.
Speaking of jealousy… yes, he is very jealous. Being confident in himself has never been his thing, you know? It might appear like it, but he has always felt less than others. Weaker, weirder… just not normal overall.
He’s just scared that you’ll realize this and understand that he’s not a good fit for you.
He feels like it’s quite the miracle that you’re with him, like it’s some kind of dream that could be over soon.
On the other hand, you also get a bit jealous sometimes. All the nurses are in love with him. And the mothers of his patients too.
He’s actually a very romantic man, by the way. Might not seem like it, but he is. Nathaniel has no problem with telling you how much you mean to him, nor with having any sort of gestures with you.
He loves to take you out on dates and bring you flowers, and he loves being affectionate in public.
Plus, he feels the need to compensate that he doesn’t see you much on weekdays.
It’s so cute to see how all of the kids at the hospital love him, they always want to be around him.
He’ll cook for you when he has days off, believe it or not, he’s fairly decent at it. He has lived by himself pretty much his whole life, so he had to learn.
He just doesn’t do it often because of the hectic environment at the hospital, instant food is easier.
Back to the kids thing, he really wants to have children. It’s a complicated subject for him, because he doubts of his capacity to be a good father while at the same time he’s dying to have a family with you.
He has talked to you about it. Would not put pressure on you if that’s not what you wish, but it would make him incredibly happy if you feel the same as him. There’s still a lot of time to figure that out, though.
He likes to plan ahead of time a lot, always prepared for everything, always thinking about every single thing that could happen in the future. This may be what made him buy a ring after less than a year knowing you.
He just knew it. Still waiting for the right time, but he knows who he wants.
Getting sick while dating him is more of a good thing than a bad one. He’ll take a couple of days off to take care of you, it doesn’t matter if it’s just a cold. He’ll make sure you are warm and take your meds, and he’ll bring your meals to bed.
Overall he’ll treat you as if you were incapable of anything. He’ll even bathe you and change your clothes for you.
Being a caregiver is carved into his soul.
It’s is no news that he is STRONG.
He lifts you up as if you were a sheet of paper, no matter how much you weight. And you love it.
Whenever he comes home from work, he’ll greet you with a hug that lifts you up in the air, he can’t help it.
He likes to tease you, too. It is way too fun for him to lift you up very high and pretend that he’s gonna let you fall.
Though he is very careful with his strength around you, would never actually intend to hurt you.
Drama queen. Will make a fuss out of everything. You burnt yourself while making eggs? He’ll have the first aid kit ready.
He thinks you are very fragile, tbh. He doesn’t say it because he knows you’ll get mad, but that doesn’t change the fact.
Loves to see you walking around in his clothes!!!!
He misses you like crazy when you are apart. Spends his long shifts counting the hours to see you again. He also tells his patients about you from time to time.
The kind of man to keep your picture in his wallet.
He is a rare species of men who love to go shopping with you, walking that much is worth it when you model your new clothes for him.
Will buy you some stuff for himself too, if you know what I mean…
He’s just someone who’s very dedicated on everything he does, while at the same time he is a perfectionist. Nathaniel rarely does something that he knows could affect your relationship, which turns him into a great partner.
You won’t be disappointed , and more importantly, you will never feel unloved.

Hiya!
I’m not sure if you’re in need of more requests, but if you are, I was wondering what your take on a mute!Reader might be.
I don’t have specific characters in mind except for Fresh, Blue, and Fell. However, if this prompt gives you ideas for other characters, feel free to add more!
(P.S. I saw your account a few days ago, and I was SO happy to find someone who writes under these tags. They can feel like a ghost town to scroll through!)
As always, am happy to provide some content for any of my boys. I kept this request for simply these three for now
Blue, Red and Fresh x Mute! Reader
Underswap Sans:
Mweh he heh! He actually already knows sign language!
A part of it is his whole "must be perpared for everything and anything" mentality but also I think he was just already genuinely interested in the topic to begin with, so you officially have an ASL buddy
Admittedly he's not 100% perfect at it, there are some words he messes up
But make no mistake! He's always willing to learn more!
You two have the most epic of secret conversations as half the friend group just watches you two non-verbally ramble at each other with Blue being the one to relay any information
Speaking of, he's already a yapper in any relationship he's in but especially more so now
He'll happily translate or help with any accommodations you need on the day to day, especially whenever you need to communicate verbally
Literally just that one "they asked for no pickles!" meme lmao
Of course this man is loud and loves to talk a lot, that is never going to change but I think spending some time around you does make him appreciate the quiet moments more for sure
Underfell Sans:
He knows of monsters similar to this and aside from tactless "what? cat got your tongue?" jokes it's not a big change to your relationship
He'll....attempt to learn ASL, he's clearly trying and does pick up on sayings over time. Not gonna be a quick process though by any means
Very "confused but he's got the spirit" type of energy lmao
The first thing he asks to learn though is curse words and insults though
This is Red we all knew it was coming
It definitely makes him a bit more....protective in a sense, he doesn't see you as weaker necessarily but he comes from a world where everyone is a straight up asshole and inherently believes that if others can take advantage they will
And he's not letting that happen with you, as long as he's alive that is never happening to you
This man is very afraid to get into a verbal lashing on your behalf
"You mad at that guy? Want me to yell at him for you? Want me to punch his face for you?"
Fresh Sans:
Honestly your first meeting was....an interesting one because well, it took awhile for him to understand that you couldn't really speak and that's a thing for some people
He's pretty ignorant about most stuff, he's very worldly yet also somehow does not know jack about shit
It doesn't take him too long to understand the concept though thankfully
While I can sorta see him being down to learn ASL (hope you're patient as fuck though) I think he would get you an erase board with various colored markers for communication
Or better yet one of those portable sound boards with 1000+ sound effects options
Fresh: "what chu' think boo?" :D
Y/N: *making direct eye contact as they press the button for the loud booing sound effect*
Honestly largely due to you being mute he does learn to better read subtle facial expressions and other non verbal cues probably better than anyone else can
Also you're very much welcome to borrow his air horn if needed, you have dated the loudest mofo in the universe LET YOURSELF BE HEARD SOMEHOW
#💙💀🌮 your magnificent hero (underswap sans)#❤️💀💢 your guard dog (underfell sans)#💖💀🎊 your cool lover (fresh sans)#underswap sans x reader#underfell sans x reader#fresh x reader#asks#requests

SPOILERS FOR S2 EP7 OF SCHOOL SPIRITS
Mr. Martin rowing away with Janet is so ominous…
His acting is SO great. His mannerisms and the way he speaks is so perfect. “We deserve this.”
“It makes me sad.. That we couldn’t have gone to any of these places together.” NO one can tell me Maddie doesn’t like Wally as much as he likes her. That girl is in love.
I genuinely didn’t expect everyone to be right about Yuri and Charley! They recreated that pottery making scene!! I did not expect them to get freaky, but i’m NOT complaining.
IM GONNA SCREAM. The way Wally hooked his finger in her bra strap??? My heart is actually beating so fast..I know i’ve said this before, but the tongue is INSANE.
I love how the ghosts are having sex with each other while the living kids are literally crashing out.
I really wish we saw Quinn going into her scar for the first time… I really wonder what it would’ve looked like.
IM ACTUALLY CRYING. I did NOT expect to see Milo’s bare ass today, but DAMN… My jaw dropped to the FLOOR.
“It’s kind of hard not to think about everything that’s waiting for me here.” Ugh, don’t make me cry today PLEASE.
I’m a little surprised there was no talk of Maddie begin a virgin, since that seemed fairly important to her in the first season. I’m not complaining at all though, because WOW..
“Oh, god! I’m gonna need to guys to peel yourselves off each other and come down to the library stat.” The way Maddie nor Wally didn’t even TRY to cover up is killing me. They genuinely don’t GAF.
They were planning on torturing the other ghosts?? This just keeps getting worse and worse the more we learn.
“I’m glad it was you, too.” Please don’t make me like these two together…
‘Notice of suspension’??? God, i feel so awful for Simon. I never even thought of how this affected him. He’s missed so many classes countless times.. What about his future? He flunked that one college admission interview, too. If anything bad happens to Simon, i’m throwing a tantrum.
Oh my god… Poor Rhonda. I love her so much. Knowing she was alone with Janet and Mr. Martin for so long is just so horrifying.
I didn’t expect Dawn to be so involved! I love how she’s really not stupid or airheaded. She’s just a little eccentric. I’m so glad we got another scene with her.
This show is honestly a horror movie at this point… ‘Mr. Anderson’ being soaking wet, covered in mud with his head gushing blood walking around with a fireplace poker is terrifying. My heart is beating so fast.
Mr. Martins manipulating Janet is infuriating. I don’t even have the words to express how much I hate him.
Poor Quinn! I feel so bad. “I died knowing that everyone was mad at me.” My baby 😞💔💔.
“You can’t just leave me now.” STOP. I love them so much it hurts so bad.
I really didn’t expect Simon and Maddie to argue but it was bound to happen.
“Is this because of Wally?” I called it. I fucking called it. I KNEW this was going to come up. Kristian’s acting always gets me. I love Simon so much.
Patrick Gilmores acting is amazing. He somehow even sounds like Mr. Martin and it’s terrifying. Also, he’s lowkey hot and i’m not sorry for saying that.
Mr. Martin forcing Janet into the hellscape made me sick to my stomach.
This fandom is so smart it blows my mind. Everyone said Mr. South must know more about the scars than we had thought. I kind of thought he was just being melodramatic, but the more we saw the scars I changed my mind.
Everyone was right about the scar being Mr. Martin’s. This makes a whole lot more sense. The woman could’ve been his finance, considering the fact that we haven’t seen her before.
This episode was genuinely insane. I still haven’t even fully processed anything.

Flufftober Day 11: Ingredients and Spells
@flufftober
Fluff
Choso Kamo x gn!reader
Warnings: none
I have no idea what to do.
Choso slumped back against the sofa, his hands pushing his bangs off his face in frustration. He was a man of action; he was tired of sitting around and not chasing after his goal. He was a natural leader, as most older brothers are, and he wanted to set a good example for Yuji by never giving up. He’d been told he was personable and easy to talk to, and was a person with an especially honest disposition.
Why was it this impossible for him to ask someone out?
The person Choso had his sights set on was you, a teacher at Jujutsu High and the object of his (secret) affections. Every time he’d come visit Yuji at school, he’d always be sure to stop by your classroom and say hello, making small talk and slowly getting to know you through curious questions. There was a lot more he still had to learn about you: your hopes and dreams, your greatest fears, whether or not you returned his feelings…
I seriously need to get a grip.
Choso’s self pitying party was halted when he was interrupted by the buzzing of his phone.
Yuji: you know you’re the best big brother ever, right??
Choso: Did you get in trouble?
Yuji: no i swear ! i just forgot my lunch in my room :(
Choso: Okay? That’s a five minute walk to come get it.
After he sent that text, Choso quickly sent another one.
Choso: Never mind, I’ll bring it to you. I need the fresh air anyway.
Yuji: THANKS 😄
Choso stood from his spot on Yuji’s couch and searched the small dorm room for any sign of a forgotten bento box. He couldn’t find one, but he did find a crumpled up paper bag lying empty under his bed.
“He must’ve forgotten to pack it, too,” Choso mumbled under his breath, placing some snack packets inside. He was about to leave the dorm when he was struck with the sudden thought of potentially seeing you on his journey across campus. Running around the small room frantically, he was starting to feel frustrated.
Doesn’t this kid own a mirror?!
Not wanting to waste anymore time, he settled for using his phone’s selfie camera to check his appearance. Sprucing up his double buns a bit, he was content with how he looked and exited the dorm with a newfound sense of confidence.
All that confidence went down the drain the moment Choso spied you walking his way.
He had almost made it to Yuji before he saw your smiling face waving at him excitedly. He gulped as you practically bounded over; he had never seen someone look as amazing as you did, or have such a perfect voice that said his name with the most beautiful lips, and being surrounded by the signature scent of your perfume absolutely entranced him-
“Choso! How are you doing today?” you asked kindly, knocking some sense into the awestruck man.
“Oh! I’m, uh, I’m good,” he stuttered out, wincing at how utterly pathetic he sounded.
You pointed at the bag he had clutched in his strong grasp. “Whatcha got there?”
“Yuji’s lunch.”
Choso felt like he couldn’t breathe around you, like your very presence caused his lungs to seize up and his throat choked on every word he tried to say.
“That’s so sweet of you to bring it for him! You know, I actually just saw him with Fushiguro and Kugisaki over by the vending machines. I was heading over there if you want me to drop it off.”
What he should’ve said would be along the lines of “That sounds like a great idea, why don’t we walk over there together?”
What he actually said was:
“That’s perfect. Thank you so much.”
Choso flung the paper bag into your hands, basically running away from you, to find refuge in the nearest building to calm his racing heart. He looked beyond stupid, that he knew for sure, and he didn’t know how he could ever face you after embarrassing himself that badly. After taking a moment to catch his breath, he realized he was in the school library. Not wanting to risk seeing you again right now, he decided to browse through the endless option of books he was surrounded by.
“Ancient civilizations, huh? Sounds interesting,” he said, pulling the book off the shelf and taking a seat at one of tables in the empty room.
The book wasn’t terribly boring, but it wasn’t piquing his curiosity as much as it normally would. His thoughts kept drifting back to you and he couldn’t concentrate on any of the topics being presented to him. Turning the next ink filled page, he covered a yawn that tumbled out of his mouth. Soon enough, though, right as he was about to shelve the book once more, his eye caught the title of the next section.
“Love spells of the old world?” he read aloud to no one.
That would definitely be helpful.
He rolled his eyes, not believing what he was thinking. A love spell? Really? There was no way those could work. Besides, it’d be totally unethical and morally wrong to cast a spell on someone to change their personal feelings.
It’s a lot easier to mix some ingredients together than confess you have a crush on a person…
He decided he would read through the section just for the sake of learning something new, not because he was considering trying one on you or anything.
Nope. No way.
“All you need is honey, fresh fruit, and a candle?” he wondered, brow furrowed. “That seems too easy.”
“What seems too easy?”
Choso slammed the book shut at the sound of your voice.
“Y/n! What are you doing here?” he squeaked out, palms sweaty from nervousness.
“I work here, remember?” you answered cheekily. “Actually, I saw you come in here and I wanted to talk to you about something. If you’re not busy, of course,” you added, sounding strangely cautious.
You gestured to the book lying in front of him. “That’s one of my top choices to read in my downtime. What part were you on?”
“Mesopotamian culture,” he said hurriedly, not meeting your gaze as his face burned with shame.
God, Choso was a horrible liar.
You, however, didn’t seem to notice, or if you did, were gracious enough to ignore it.
“That’s actually right before my favorite part of the book,” you told him. “It’s a little embarrassing but I’m a romantic at heart I guess.”
Choso inadvertently sucked in a breath. “Wait, you mean the-”
“Love spells,” you both said at the same time, causing you to laugh a little bit while Choso looked dumbfounded.
“Do you… believe in those?” he asked hesitantly.
“Kind of? I mean, I could see the validity in it. I prefer to keep my love all natural, though. There’s something special in those moments between two people when they’re trying to figure out if the other feels the same.” You looked deep into his dark chocolate eyes, slightly leaning in closer to him and gently grabbing hold of his hand. “Do you know that feeling?”
Choso‘s mouth went dry as he wished he found a section in the book on how to not make a fool of himself in a situation like this.
“I’ve really liked you for a long time.”
Maybe there’s a potion in there to create a hole in the floor to swallow him up?
Your eyes widened in surprise at his unexpected confession, but you couldn’t reply as words flowed from Choso like an unstoppable stream of water.
“I’m sorry that was so sudden but I’ve been wanting to tell you that for months now and I haven’t found the right time because you just made me so nervous and I was too scared to ask you out but then you caught me reading about the love spells and I freaked out and-”
“Can I kiss you?” you interrupted his rambling. Like a deer caught in headlights, Choso just silently stared at you for a few seconds. All of a sudden, he closed the distance between you as his lips pressed into yours, giving you a loving kiss that wasn’t the result of any sort of incantation.
Little did you two know, you had an audience listening and watching the entire thing from the library door that was left ajar.
“Wasn’t this the cutest thing ever?” Nobara exclaimed.
“I can’t believe Choso finally told L/n-sensei,” observed Yuji, taking a big bite of his lunch.
“The only ingredient they both needed was a dose of reality,” grumbled Megumi, grabbing his friends by their schoolbags and pulling them away before they got caught.

"I like it. The look on people's faces when they decide to stop holding back"
In case you don't remember that iconic line from Tsukasa, allow me to make sure you never forget it.
The way that both Tsukasa and Amane love people and each other is such a beautiful and intriguing concept and I need to yap about it: Tsukasa loves people no matter what, no ifs or buts; he embraces the ugliness within them and cherishes it like it’s something precious. What he hates about Amane is also what he loves because he wouldn’t be Amane without all his flaws (honestly, that's surprisingly mature coming from Tsukasa)
Tsukasa is basically saying that he likes seeing people at their worst, and he likes knowing that someone would feel comfortable enough to be that vulnerable around him. He personally saw Amane at his rock bottom, overcome by rage and insanity, but he still loves his big brother more than anyone else in the whole world. It is such a sincere and powerful kind of love which you can only give to a few people in your life and it would break you if it went away.
Understanding this makes you see how alike the twins really are, because Hanako does the same. Hanako is a lot more careful when it comes to love; he has been hurt and lost people in the past and doesn't want to experience that kind of anguish ever again, so he tries to keep it under control. We saw how he tried (and failed) to keep his distance with Nene only to end up caring about her even more than he previously did. The nail in the coffin for him was when he tried to move on to the afterlife and take her best friend with him, only for her to find a way to reach him and stop his plan completely. Oh, furious and confused didn't even begin to cover how he was feeling then, but this was the face he was making as he told Nene that she was childish and too idealistic for her own good
He embraces and looks at her like all her flaws are something precious he needs to protect. Barely 30 minutes before this, he told Aoi that he loved everything about Nene, and now here he is, seeing her at her worst; desperate, naïve, stubborn and reckless, but he couldn't be more smitten if he tried. He knows her better than anyone, better than he knows himself and his own feelings; what a vulnerable thing it is to be perceived, to be seen and loved for who you are.
Circling back to the twins, here's another thing I've noticed. Hanako, throughout the story, gradually got more comfortable around Tsukasa (mainly because the initial shock of learning that his brother was close to him this whole time wore off but there's more to it). Encounters with him didn't leave him in a near catatonic state anymore, they even fight together in perfect sync whenever they need to team up; a very low bar, I admit, but it's a start. Hanako's relationship with Nene actually greatly improved his relationship with Tsukasa, in the sense that he could understand where his brother was coming from better. Obviously, Hanako's relationship with Nene is different from the one he has with his brother; what I meant was that Hanako was able to feel what it was like to love someone so intensely again which brought him closer to his brother for better or worse. He loves Tsukasa so much, but recently, he was forced to confront the source of tension between them that drove him to murder, making their relationship do a full 180 and end up right back where they started. Can't wait to see more of how their relationship will progress after this hellish arc is over. And on that note, I'll see you all on the 18th, toodles

So … I was right?! Suga was a dad once upon a time and everything he’s done in the past 20 years of the story up until this point was inspired by the great loss of his child?! I WAS RIGHT!!!
Let the record show that this squiggly Gavvian was right about Suga’s backstory. THE SUGA DOCTOR WAS A SUGAR DADDY! I WAS RIGHT!!!
I mean it makes perfect sense after all given how paternalistic Suga treated the Bitt-Brats and Hanto. This actually makes me feel sorry for Suga. Oddly enough, the Gavv story just sorta fast forwarded past Suga’s story.
I mean, yeah sure --- today was more about Hanto and Shouma reconciling their friendship (FINALLY) and debuting Hanto’s true form - Frappe Custom. But even still, there was enough details about Suga sprinkled throughout the episode that I kinda wished we could’ve slowed down or paused a bit more during those moment. We finally get the Sugar Doctor’s backstory and it’s in the episode where he dies … kind of (I'll talk more on that later).
I think on some odd level, Suga DID care about the Bitter Shoumas/ Bitter-Brats to an extent. Despite being his home-made sacrificial lambs for him to further test his “ultimate lifeform” theory, the fact that the Bitt-Brats were born and housed in the same secret room that that one Bitt-Brat claimed to Vram was precious to Suga, says something to me.
While he may not have allowed them to call him “dad”, Suga did care for Bitt-Brats like his children, to some extent.
Even when scolding them, he was never malicious towards them. Like I said, despite being a mad scientist, Suga’s paternal mannerisms was surprisingly the more humane part about him, ironically.
And now … his story has ended. Sort of. I’m sticking a pin in that for now because even if Suga is technically dead (and his actor will no longer be in the show), that doesn’t necessarily mean that the character of Kento Suga is gone.
After all, we still have the mysterious Baby K.
As we know, Suga had three candidates in his “ultimate life form” pet project. One was Hanto (the golden boy), another were the Bitt-Brats and the last one was Baby K.
My question after today’s episode is … Where is Baby K?
We saw Suga eyeballing data taken from his three test subjects, Baby K included. However when Vram discovered the secret room, all he found were more Bitt-Brats.
But no Baby K. So where is Baby K?
Does Suga have another hidden lab somewhere inside his same building or in another location? Another secret room that Lakia missed cause he only focused on the one room that the Bitt-Brat sort of led him to. Perhaps that Bitt-Brat even sacrificed himself (and his other unborn brothers unfortunately) to lure Vram off the true trail.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Suga had other bakeries secretly hidden in the city and one of them is probably where Baby K is.
After all, in the last episode, Suga showed 2 new Bitter Gavvs.
Assuming that the one we saw fight Lakia in today’s episode is the SAME one who assisted Suga in holding Shouma hostage in the last episode, where’s his twin?
If Suga entrusted one Bitt-Brat to protect the “nursery” where his unborn brothers were still sleeping, then it wouldn’t surprise me if somewhere else in another part of town, there’s another nursery where that other Bitt-Brat must be housed guarding the container holding Baby K.
Suga is a smart man. Surely he must’ve predicted that he was on borrowed time following his first Bake transformation.
So it wouldn’t surprise me if Suga foresaw his own death and put things in place to ensure the continuation of his experiments which included Nyelv carrying them on in his place.
So my new hunch here is:
Baby K is a possibly a clone of Suga - his true son - and everything that Nyelv does moving forward will be done in Suga’s name to fulfill the birth of Baby K or rather … the rebirth of Kenzo Suga?
Speaking of Nyelv, let me talk about him for a bit.
Bouche Stomach probably wasn’t the best dad. I mean, granted he didn’t exactly learn from the best dad himself given the fact that his own father didn’t seem like a good guy either since he technically was the one who brought the first sample of human to his brother Dente to turn into Dark Treats and begin the Dark Treat business.
If I had to guess, Nyelv probably struggled with his relationship with Bouche as the second eldest son behind Lango and the middle child.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Nyelv never quite got the attention he desired out of Bouche which was made worse by the fact that they didn’t connect on an intellectual level given Nyelv’s aptitude for science.
If anything, it wouldn’t surprise me if Nyelv shared a closer father-son relationship with his Grunkle Dente since he was his mentor.
But all that changed once Shouma was born and Bouche tasked Dente with aiding in his modification. Then, as we know, after his first attempt at helping Shouma failed, Dente left to live in the Human World as a way of gaining knowledge to further help Shouma.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Dente’s departure left a sour taste in Nyelv’s mouth and further strengthened his distaste for Shouma. Despite Dente’s compassion for Shouma, this sentiment was not mirrored by his grand-nephew and former mentee/successor.
Around the time Dente left for the Human World was probably around the time, Nyelv first encountered Suga, who in turn, probably became like his replacement Dente.
If I had to guess, Nyelv is probably going to harbour a strong sense of hatred and jealousy towards BOTH Shouma and Hanto.
After all, technically, the Chocogummy Duo stole both of Nyelv’s surrogate “dads” from him with Shouma taking Dente and Hanto taking Suga since he was his “golden child” up until the point he died.
That being said, it’s going to be truly interesting seeing Nyelv’s interactions with Hanto and Shouma moving forward as he’s now taken over from Suga.
Up until this point in the story, there isn’t much to say about Nyelv. Outside of his intellect and scientific prowess, personality-wise, he seems to be quite stoic most of the time. Very rarely expressing much emotion outside of an eerie calmness about him.
Since Nyelv is going to continue Suga’s experiments, it would be also be intriguing to see what Nyelv’s relationship with the Bitter Gavvs is going to be like.
Surely, Bitter Gavv BreaCookie and Bitter Gavv BakiBaki Sticks are going to be Nyelv’s creations based off of Suga’s experiments, right?
Or perhaps Bitt-Brat Brea and Bitt-Brat Baki were the twins we last saw Suga with. (the one in today’s episode might’ve been another one born recently).
Like I said, it would be interesting to see Nyelv interact with the Bitt Brats. Perhaps Suga entrusted Brea and Baki to safeguard Baby K and Nyelv just shows up to them out of nowhere to take over Suga’s work. But while Brea and Baki agree to work with Nyelv, they don’t exactly trust him and only do it out of their promise to “their master” which was to protect Baby K.
I can actually picture Nyelv and the Bitt-Brat Twins butting head because Nyelv will see them as copies of Shouma and his resentment towards them would probably mirror that of how Nyelv secretly feels towards Shouma.
Poor Nyelv --- forever being the “better child” forced to clean up the messes of his elders but never truly being loved or respected enough to be seen as the favourite child no matter how hard he worked or how much better he was than the so-called favourite children.
But then again, this is all just me speculating here.
Overall, today’s episode was FANTASTIC! It dropped so many details that leave me interested to see how things are going to move forward. Especially with the intro of new characters and the return of another.
But as far as Nyelv and the Bitter Gavvs, this is my hunch for now.

But Then I Saw You: Adam Warlock x Reader
Summary: Adam can’t take his eyes off you and he doesn’t understand why.
Words: 0.7k+
Warnings: SPOILERS!!
-
-
-
Adam was slowly but surely learning to navigate his new life—a far different one than he ever thought he’d be living.
Between missions with the other Guardians, his new home is Knowhere. He has his own small apartment with an overlook of the city, and he’s been trying to inegrate himself into the community. It’s difficult, considering he violently destroyed the place less than a year ago, yet he’s made a decent amount of friends.
There’s one person he still hasn’t figured out how to talk to, though, and that’s you.
Adam sees you around town nearly everyday, and the sight of you always makes him feel something different. He doesn’t understand why he can’t just talk to you like he does everyone else, the nervousness always stopping him. He’s been made well aware that he left his cocoon too early, and therefore isn’t fully developed, but this feeling isn’t something he ever heard mentioned by his mother or his people.
“Ya know, it’s a good thing you don’t have laser eyes or something, because they’d be dead from all your staring,” Rocket jokes, catching Adam looking at you again.
“I don’t know why I can’t stop looking at them,” Adam says.
“Sounds like you got a crush, golden boy,”
“I am Groot,” Groot agrees.
“What’s a crush?” Adam asks, intrigued.
“Oh, geez, do I have to be the one to explain it to him?”
Groot steps up, wrapping a vine around Adam’s shoulders, “I am Groot. I am Groot, I am Groot. I am Groot! I am Groot?”
“Yeah, that makes sense. I guess we just don’t usually have those romantic type feelings in my species. We reproduce through genetic engineering and birthing pods, so we don’t have the need to be attracted to each other like that,”
“Okay, so what’s wrong with you then?” Rocket laughs.
“I don’t know,” Adam catches another glance at you. “But maybe it’s not a bad thing,”
“I am Groot?”
Rocket cackles again, “No way am I giving him dating advice, Groot. Go ask Drax or something, he’s the one who’s been married before,”
-
Adam doesn’t waste much time, so later that day he asks Drax how he should talk to you. Of course Draw tells him about how he met his wife, talking about his attraction to her in graphic detail. Adam hangs onto every word, taking everything in as if he’d be quizzed on it. He asks lots of questions, trying to figure out how best to express his interest in you. Eventually he thinks he has it down, so next time he sees you, he’s determined to make his move.
Fortunately, that time comes pretty fast, and he sees you sitting in the main square on his way home. He sits beside you, attempting to be somewhat covert and casual.
“Hi,” he says.
“Hi,” you reply with a smile. “You’re Adam, right?”
“You know who I am?”
“Well, yeah, everyone here knows who you are,” you shrug. “Plus I see you staring at me a lot so I’ve asked some people what your deal is,”
Adam loses his entire train of thought, quickly realizing his plan had already failed. He clearly already weirded you out by his behavior, and he didn’t want to further discomfort you.
“I’m sorry,” are the only words he finds to say.
“Why?” you laugh. “I’m not mad, I’ve just been waiting for you to actually talk to me,”
“Really?”
“Yeah, I’ve been wanting to know what’s so interesting about me. Do I look like someone you knew or something?”
He’s relieved to know you’re not upset with his terrible social skills, but he still doesn’t know quite how to respond. How is he to explain how seeing you makes him feel?
“The truth is,” he starts, “I thought my people were supposed to be the most beautiful and perfect species in the universe...but then I saw you,”
Now it’s your turn to lose all words and thoughts from your mind. Is the Adam Warlock into you?
“I never meant to scare you, and I understand if you don’t feel similar feelings towards me,” he stand up, “I hope you have a lovely evening,”
“Wait, hang on Adam,” you stop him from leaving. “Why didn’t you just ask me out?”
“Out where?”
You laugh, his confusion endearing, “Anywhere, goldie. I need to get to know you better before I decide if I like you too, don’t I?”
“Ah, yes! Great idea,” he nods. “I will ask you out tomorrow, then,”
“Not now?”
“I need to go home now to feed my pet,”
“Of course,” you smile. “Tomorrow, then,”
He flies up into the air, leaving you to look forward to whatever he comes up with.

[BSD 120.5] Theory/Analysis
NOTE BEFORE READING: 90% of this post was written on the day of the chapter's release but got forgotten in my drafts. As I'm too lazy right now to read through and edit, expect things that: make no sense, are worded as if the chapter came out today or recently, stop in the middle of the sentence/incomplete etc. Also for some reason I added stuff not directly relating to the chap...I'm sure I wanted to lead into a bigger point but by now I have no idea what I was going for.
I realised it's almost time for the new chapter and that's how I remembered this was still in my drafts...
So I'm posting it more for me rather than anyone else (which I sort of already do anyway).
─────────────✧
Well well well...it's been another month so I'm here again to put my 2 cents in on this month's chapter.
I'm sure there's no need to say it but the following will contain spoilers for BSD chapter 120.5.
And as always with my long posts...expect me to sidetrack a lot.
This includes a deep dive into Fyodor's title as well.
Today's Topics:
Humanity & Fyodor's outlook
Fyodor's title
Fyodor's humanity
Ability Users & Humans
The page isn't with Fyodor
Thoughts on Fukuzawa's "death"
─────────────✧

Humanity & Fyodor's outlook
Today's chapter gives us a great insight on Fyodor's goal, or at least confirms the one we already knew of and bathes it in a new light. But let's first start with what his outlook on humans is.
"An unlearned outlook befitting of your short lives."
"Your" = humans "Short lives" = human lifespans
This is basically saying: "You haven't lived as long as me so you don't know/understand" Or better yet, "You will never have enough time in your short lives to learn like I did."
Fyodor in his immortal life has seen things, witnessed eras come and go, same with wars. He has had nothing but time to observe humanity and their many flaws.
He believes no one with a short life-span (humans) will understand his learned outlook.
Note: We don't know how old Fyodor actually is. I personally believe that he's over two thousand years old but I only have one small piece of unrelated evidence that supports this. Though, no matter the age, he has lived a long time, that doesn't change.
Fyodor looks genuine in this scene. The look of "acceptance". Accepting the fact that humans won't understand or change, no matter how many centuries pass.
Note: It should be remembered that acceptance does not mean compliance. Fyodor is the perfect example of this.
It honestly feels lonely. Trust me, I don't even like Fyodor but this is just depressing, even for the villain. Imagine your ability has made you pretty much immortal and you watch humanity make the same mistakes, have the same flaws, see them drive themselves to ruin multiple times and no one will ever understand you as they haven't lived as long as you. (Arguably, I'd say Dazai got close)
TLDR: Imagine living forever and watching humans ruin themselves repeatedly and having no one who will understand what you're thinking. That's Fyodor's life.
He lost faith in humanity a long time ago.
Anyway...on a different note (slight backtrack), our boy Atsushi seems to agree or at least understand that "Humanity cannot bear such enormous virtue." Based on his expression here and the panel.
It's like his expression is saying, "Damn, he's right, I've gone through so much to stop this but it's just way too much even for me (an ability user)." or something...idk honestly.
Atsushi is emotionally tuned in with the world so maybe he just saw Fyodor's expression and was like: "holy shi-" again, idk.
"Pure evil"...not like anyone has said otherwise about Fyodor.
His calm yet determined(?) expression when Fukuzawa tells him this shows that he finds what he's doing as necessary and planned.
What Fyodor wants is a world war. Specifically, one that will eliminate all ability users. Instead of getting his hands dirty, it'll be done by humans.
Now, I know that ability users get separated a lot from your every day average human but Fyodor's choice of words shows that he doesn't view ability users as humans at all.
Though, the way he uses the word "humanity" may be more as in those of the greater population, or just "The ones without abilities."
With [One Order] though, does "humanity" include ability users? In theory it should, and yet it doesn't seem that way.
Fyodor believes there will be peace if ability users are gone...Looks like he either has never seen a world without ability users or there's more to this plan than he's letting on.
"What...are you...? I can't possibly see you as human."
Fyodor has never once claimed to be human. Or at least he has never seen himself as human.
And he clearly separates himself from those with short lives (humans) as a different being.
He has been considered a demon throughout the whole series.
Now for my monthly: "Analyse the original Japanese even though I don't speak it."
Today's segment will mostly be my curiosity taking word form, so feel free to skip to the next part or enjoy.
─────────────✧
██▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
Fyodor's title
First off, I didn't manage to get the raws to see the spelling of the title. I only heard the spoken Japanese version in the anime, which was "majin".
[ Dazai says it around 12:33 in Season 3 Episode 8 ]
So feel free to interpret it as either [魔神] or [魔人] (both are pronounced as "majin" but have different meanings).
Due to the official translation calling him "conjurer", I thought that maybe it was [ 魔人 ] but the fact that the fan translation calls him "demon", points closer to [ 魔神 ].
Left: Fan translation (DazaiScans) | Right: Official English translation
When you break it down more into individual Kanji, you start to see the difference and similarities.
Both are pronounced as "jin" when in "majin".
[ 魔 ] / "ma" is in both [ 魔神 ] and [ 魔人 ]. And it's from "ma" that we get the more demonic/evil meaning.
So, in a way, even [ 魔人 ] could be seen as "demonic person".
[ 魔 ] / "ma" is in "majin" and "akuma"
Now, when Dazai was called a "demon" he was referred to as "akuma".
As you can see, [ 悪魔 ] is way more serious than [ 魔人 ] or [ 魔神 ] .
This obviously gets lost in translation, as both become "demon".
One instance where Dazai is being referred to as 悪魔 is in the 15 light novel and manga adaptation. For some reason, it's not in the anime.
I'm not here to talk about Dazai's humanity though. I just wanted to show the difference in seriousness of "demon" between the titles*.
*Correction, "Demon" is not Dazai's title. While he has been called as such, his only known title was "Black Wraith" (Kuroi Yuuki - 黒い幽鬼).
Yuuki [ 幽鬼 ] - ghost; revenant; spirit (of the dead); departed soul
Kuro [ 黒 ] - black (as noun) - Kuroi [ 黒い ] = black (as adjective)
So back to the topic at hand!
─────────────✧
███▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
Fyodor's humanity
Fyodor being referred to as "majin" instead of "akuma" makes a big difference even if both can be "demon".
In this chapter - as I stated earlier - we see Fyodor talk as if he isn't human. Akuma would refer to a demon - not human, but majin refers more closely to an "evil being", and if it's [ 魔人 ] it can especially be seen as a "demonic/evil human".
Therefore, Fyodor's title shows that he is human, no matter how much he separates himself and the rest of the ability users from the greater human population.
...Wait a minute...just remembered something.
I should have trusted my memory and checked the raws from chapter 120 earlier...it was literally only a month ago and yet I almost forgot Fukuzawa literally used Fyodor's title at the end of the chapter!
So Fyodor's title is [ 魔人 ]
[ 魔 ] for "witch", "demon", "evil spirit"
[ 人 ] for "person"
...Remembering this earlier would have saved me so much time ;-;
I will still keep what I wrote from earlier - my rambling about wether it's [ 魔人 ] or [ 魔神 ] - as I spent way too long on it and don't have enough mental energy to change it.
─────────────✧
████▒▒▒▒▒▒
Ability Users & Humans
(Specifically in the eyes of Fyodor)
Now that we know it's [ 魔人 ], I can analyse further into Fyodor's view on ability users.
In short, Humans are...humans, I won't go into the foolishness and ugliness of humans, because in life there's death just like there's pain in love, it's yin and yang. Basically: where there's good, there's evil.
人類 - mankind; humanity
異能 - unusual power; superpower; ability beyond that of humans
者 - person (rarely used without a qualifier)
I understand 者 as the user in "ability user"
So 人類 vs 異能者 = Humanity vs Ability users.
[Section Incomplete] - I remember wanting to talk about how Fyodor sees himself and then talking about how that shows how he views humanity and ability users. First off, he doesn't care what he becomes or is seen as. He is the type to "willingly become a demon for future peace" (at least "peace" in his eyes). I remember having a plan (in my head) for this section but...by now I've forgotten and are too lazy to continue it.
─────────────✧
█████▒▒▒▒▒
The page isn't with Fyodor
This may sound strange since we see Fukuchi hold the page too but remember: we never saw them actually use/write on the "page" that we've seen. It's basically just a normal piece of paper.
Fukuchi claims the paper he's holding as the page. [Chapter 83.5]
There's no proof of it actually being the page though.
Fyodor offers the page to Atsushi [Chapter 119]
This was Fyodor's plan to show Atsushi that the page is there with them. So that he has no reason to question where the page is.
If you see an apple in front of you, you won't be thinking "I wonder where the apple is" but instead believe that it's right there.
I had a far fetched thought that maybe the page was with Fyodor in the prison and then made to be found by Sigma in the guise of the note claiming he needs help:
When Sigma picks it up, it looks like there are two papers.
And yet, when he shows it to Fyodor there seems to only be a one:
Now of course, this could just be artistic error or even mere perspective but I don't think so. Every detail is usually intentional.
So what's the second paper?
The page.
...possibly
"How did Sigma not realise?" I don't know...Maybe it's been changed to appear as a blank page somehow.
This would tie in with my theory from last update that Fyodor is in a rush to get to Sigma before he wakes up.
Atsushi thinks Fyodor has the page and that he'll have to take it off him (steal it) somehow. He has no idea that the page isn't even close by but instead in Meursault.
A lot of people think "How could Atsushi's day get any worse?"
Well...fight a literal god-like-level being who is controlled by a 2k+ old evil mastermind who wants to get rid of all ability users by manipulating the general public and then never even get the page that you were fighting for because you were being manipulated this entire time and the page was never there...
─────────────✧
██████▒▒
Thoughts on Fukuzawa's "death"
First off, I don't think I've mentioned it in my theories so far but I don't believe that those "killed" by ame-no-gozen will stay dead. At some point, all of them will be alive again with no issues.
Anyway, Fukuzawa's "death" reminded me of Rampo after the "Kamui is Fukuchi" discovery. Is this a sign that we'll see him in the next chapter? ...probably not, but it did feel like a parallel, at least to me.
Also, I know last time I said "maybe next chapter he'll die" but no, this is not the death
Btw, this feels like a parallel to me even if it's not exactly the same:
─────────────✧
██████████ Complete!
Note: The following segment was written around a week after the chapter released.
The moment I finished reading the chapter (a few hours after it released) I started typing this immediately. So I've been writing this on and off for a week now...
First, I was tired IRL, then the next day was busy, and the next and the next and...you get it. I probably wrote most of it on the first day while tired so don't mind if anything makes no sense.
This must be the longest theory post I've written for BSD so far...
Should I stop doing long posts? Would you guys prefer short ones? I try to do one long post per chapter, but I feel like not many people read them, precisely because they're long. I like doing it like this as it's more compact (in my opinion) but if you guys would like me to stop the long posts let me know.
─────────────✧
To the people who actually read this post, if anything doesn't make sense or seems incomplete, it's because I wrote all this while tired (35% with a headache) and whenever i came back to write more I couldn't remember what I was trying to say...
It was in my drafts partially incomplete so since we're expecting the new update soon, I remembered this and posted it.

How Do Record Of Ragnarok Characters Deal With Turkish Women?
(The reason why the reader behaves annoyingly towards the Greeks is because of the confusion of food and culture)
(Actually, they can't cope, but that's a secret. Also, the nationalist cat in me is acting, don't blame me)

THOR
You look at his damn face and think he's calm, right? You're absolutely wrong.
You're not much different from a pair of rabid dogs. Thor isn't much of a social God, and no one can figure out how this guy came together with a chaotic leg.
He saw a lot, he didn't think he would be surprised by anything for the rest of his life... Until I met you.
You howled as you gave the middle finger to the Greek Gods??? Like a real wolf??
Really, truly in his immortal life, he had never been so surprised. He wasn't very interested in races, but when he learned that the Turks were descended from wolves, that strange gesture made sense
He observed that he was a very passionate person. You were proud to be proud of your culture and treated your ancestors with great respect.
You also said that you were going to make him eat a weird thing called kebab once and if he didn't like it you would shove the skewer used to cook the dish called kebab up his ass??
LOKİ
A scary couple that you have to run away from no matter what.
Similarly, he found you eating fish and grinning wickedly in front of Poseidon. You were eating while looking Poseidon in the eye, and Hades had to intervene to prevent Poseidon from killing you
FOUND IT VERY FUN
You are such a chaotic couple. Even Loki is sometimes very afraid of you, though. I mean, what madman would have a big 'National Anthem' painting made in the room and then have the entire Scandinavian Pantheon read it at knifepoint?
Whenever he doesn't like any Turkish food, you recite an epic of Turkish profanity to him, so he has learned to go to your senses.
Your favorite activity is to make people hell with life.
You speak so much Turkish that he knows all the Turkish swear words thanks to you.
BUDDHA
The love of his life.
Buddha always does whatever he wants, similarly you are the perfect couple as your favorite activity is breaking the rules.
Because his stomach is a black hole, you and your whole family are constantly cooking a lot for him. Your possessive attitude towards food surprises him a little, but at the end of the day, he doesn't care much because it's profitable.
You drive him crazy by speaking in Turkish. Really... You grin wickedly after saying a lot of Turkish things to kill him out of curiosity.
.... After a while, he ate so much lahmacun that his stomach hurt for a long time.
POSEİDON
The funny thing is that you do everything to drive Poseidon crazy, and what's even funnier is that you're married.
He might actually laugh if he stopped freaking out because of your disrespect, but for Atlantis' sake, why look at the sirens and "If we cut this, we'd make 2 pounds of anchovy pan... I'm craving it." What do you need to say?
(In Atlantis, everyone runs away from you because they're afraid you'll grill them)
He decided to stay away from you because you broke the painting 'Gençliğe Hitabe' to Apollo in his head.
... He is scared and aroused.
APOLLO
You broke a painting in his head and told him, and you said 'Yavşak piç'
He later found out that it meant "Squirrel bastard" and was defeated because of your audacity.
No one knows how you came together, but they're most surprised that you treat Apollo like shit.
"How are you today, little bitch?"
Although Apollo was partially accustomed to your chaotic behavior, what surprised him was that you loved each other by beating each other. When your best friend hit you on the buttocks in front of everyone, you tore her hair out and then hugged each other on the floor???
Also did you love each other by swearing???
Strange, but Apollo liked it

hi! so, i want to know. what’s your opinion on feyre being crowned high lady in acomaf? do you think it was too soon? in my opinion, i really think sjm should have waited. they were in the middle of a war, and sure, rhys swore her in as high lady— because he loves her. and he saw potential. but part of me still thinks it was too early. now i’m not sure if sjm did it to pull some power feminist move but i wish we could’ve gotten a scene where rhys taught her or showed her the ropes of politics, and she could be actively learning about her court— the people she’s now ruling with rhys. and we could see her ruling, or governing. i think the most she’s done is surface level stuff, reports or paperwork, volunteering etc etc.
did the people of velaris get a say? or what were their thoughts on the matter, in regards to this twenty/twenty one year old woman now being in charge of their entire lives. we know how the people in hewn city / court of nightmares feel about them so we won’t delve into that. but do you really think the IC take feyre seriously as their high lady? i remember in the high lords’ meeting when eris sl*t shamed mor and then azriel beat him, rhys just nodded to feyre and then she went to stop him and he just did? was that intentional, or was that to show everyone that “she is a high lady, she has authority just as much as rhys”. or that time when they both told azriel to pull all his spies out (i can’t remember the context but it’s somewhere in acosf) and azriel looked to rhys when feyre commanded something, as if to say “are you sure?” it’s like they look to rhys for confirmation and then he immediately shuts them up with “she is your high lady. her word is law.”
what are your thoughts on this? i mean they aren’t perfect people. they’re flawed and i still like them don’t get me wrong i just.. i think they make questionable choices. like when they stole the book of breathings from tarquin. i mean they couldn’t have asked? or when feyre told him to tend to his wounded and tarquin snapped and then rhys said “she’s the high lady of the night court, she can do as she wishes.” …yeah, of the night court. but they’re not in the night court, they’re in tarquin’s court, the summer court, and imo that part just rubbed me the wrong way. it gave a sense of entitlement.
Hello,
One of the most polarising topics in the fandom: Did Feyre deserve to be highlady. I would say Feyre becoming Hl made 100% sense and was fitting for her storyline as well as what was expected of the fantasy genre at the time. Was it too soon? Absolutely. It was something that should have had more build up and happened in acowar, not acomaf. This is a slippery slope considering the acotar series is YA. Its not going to delve or put too much thought into things like actually fleshing out the politics and logistics of the world especially when you consider how acotar focuses more on romance. Looking at it in a surface level way, the way Im sure Mass intended: Rhys crowning Feyre Hl was the big romantic gesture, what set him apart from the other acotar men - it put him leagues above everyone else, he became the “IT” boyfriend for showing how much faith he has in his wife etc. Feyre showed she was fit to be a leader throughout acotar and acomaf. When her family was thrust into poverty, who stood up and led them when they where scared, confused and lost? Feyre. Who was brave to hunt for them - essentially being a provider? Feyre. Who stood by her father and protected him when he was being attacked? Feyre. Who is now easily one of the most powerful characters with powers of all 7 HLs? Feyre Archeron. This way, yeah - Feyre being HL so soon made sense because she has already shown the traits for it and how fitting for the role she is. Now, looking at it in a deeper level: Does Feyre know much about the politics of the court as well as her own? Not really. Is she updated on the law? We dont know therefore we can’t say much as Mass herself never fleshes out these points. Its all surface level: Mass showing us Feyre looking over reports and whatever else is her way of telling us that feyre is right for the job and is doing great. We arent meant to actually care or read about Feyre learning about the politics or how she’s contributing to the community- bcs its not the point. Mass gave Feyre her big arc - becoming Hl, its now done and dusted. She isn’t going to go into it in-depth bcs thats not where Mass’s interest lies, why? Bcs its YA and a romance heavy series. I think reading the series as an adult is more frustrating as your quick to point out how certain things are bushed over and bit too unrealistic as well as you might want to explore or have an expanded view on the world but for the og series we have to remember its written for a younger audience who picked the series up to get lost in a magical fantasy world filled with good looking men, pretty places and badass characters they can self insert with.
As for your second point: I think you make a fair observation. It does seem like the IC find it hard to take feyre seriously straight away which gives the illusion she doesn’t truly have power/a say or isnt as equal to Rhys as we were led to believe defeating the point of her being the first HighLady which was a huge deal. If you want to give the benefit of the doubt: The IC can be adjusting to them having a new boss that they have to listen too. That period where you have a new leader alongside your old one, is always a bit awkward and filled with uncertainty. Hopefully this is something Mass fixes in the next book where we see the IC obey Feyre without hesitation or looking to Rhys for reassurance. Alternatively, bringing back a point you’ve made: it could be due to Feyre’s young age. Sure, Feyre is aged up and maybe a few hundred years old after becoming fae but she is still technically 22. That is her maturity level. All the experience she has - which has nothing to do with actually ruling and making political decisions- can be fit into less then 22 years, 14 yrs if we’re being more realistic and count from the age of 8 where her ability was tested. That is nothing compared to the years of experience everyone else in the IC has, especially Rhys. Her young age or lack of experience can cause doubt/hesitation. For example, when Feyre made a command but Az looked to Rhys first, you could take it in a “are you sure about this? Do you approve of this? Am I doing the right thing? Is Feyre making the right decision?” Kind of way. It’s definitely something that would be very interesting to explore. Maybe Feyre notices and begins feeling frustrated which can lead to her developing more into her leader role and being more assertive.
I get you anon, I love these characters even if they’re not perfect. Its totally valid to question and wonder about certain aspects of the series - thats what makes it fun and can lead to such insightful discussions. You’re right, lots of these characters make questionable choices but truthfully I think it comes down to Mass not caring enough to flesh certain subplots out. Its like she just wants to go from point A to point B without explaining too much on how you get there. Which is expected and fine, her choice.
The whole sunmer court scene was sketchy and could have been handled better. It showed that Feysand arent that much of good rulers and need to work on politcal relationships. I think Mass wanted to give Feysand that air of importance and power - unstoppable by anyone and a couple that doesn’t follow the rules making them superior but when you actually think about it - it is unrealistic. Unless they want to start a fight - feysand have no control, say or power over what happens in someone elses court, they’d have to behave and show Tarquin he has the power that they respect. It does give a sense of entitlement and “im better then you” energy but ig thats what Mass was going for.
