first of all, there's nothing wrong with being a virgin. i hate this idea that if you're a virgin there's something wrong? sex is super weird and very intimate, and i like the empowerment that comes with talking about sex, but i hate that there's the downside of "oh if you don't you're weird" bc no??? i could give you genuinely a billion different reasons to stay a virgin for the rest of your life and just invest in really good toys lol.

second of all, don't do it with a fwb guy. i know there's this idea that they'll change their mind and want something more and it's exciting. they won't. very rarely do they ever. they'll give you attention bc it's exciting, then when you want more, they'll leave (and that's best case scenario, sometimes they stay in your life for years just to fuck with your mind). especially if he's out in the open like that. don't get attached to that. if you're just having fun talking to him, keep doing that bc you'll never catch me telling anyone not to do that lol. i love to talk to guys and never meet up with them, my specialty.

in my opinion, do what you want, but you should fuck someone you trust especially if it's your first time. and definitely if you're thinking about being kinky? especially if it's your first time, don't do that with some random person who doesn't really care about you.

But he looks more like a young 25 y/o whose attire choices change day to day but generally always gives off that Parent vibe), Virgil was turned by Patton, Logan was born Vampire, Patton was assumably born vampire. Remus and Roman are 27, Janus is 25.

Virgil was locked away for about 150 years, give or take? He missed the entire shift in society and the human experience, from how relationships are viewed/treated to longer lifespans, to cleaner hygiene, convenience, and technology, hell, even the more open existance of the lgbtqa+ community! Honestly ride or die chaos, the kinds of siblings that play pranks on one another and insult eachother but god forbid some poor outsider steps in to try and say the same thing they said abt their sibling, that outsider will have regreted it. Look they grew up in a area filled with people who dont like things out of the norm and befriended the local bullied kid who is half-covered in snake scales and speaks with a lisp due to his split togue. Yes! Infact, Roman and Logan share college/uni theatre classes together! Logans currently an astronomy major, Roman a theatre arts major(i think thats what its called?) Logan is a formidible lyrical rival and Roman finds himself constantly losing to his rival in the form of slam poetry, though every day Roman always gets a little closer to winning(Logan adores the challenge, and the passion Roman has to beat Logan at his own game is riviting to experience. Logan would def consider Roman a perfect companion, but would have never acted on it if virgil hadnt been rescued by said companions twin brother, thus gettig both trios heavily involved w/ each other.) Patton’s been alive so long that he doesn’t care too much for academia, and instead focuses on tactile learning, like pottery and woodworking. Remus himself is an arts major, known for making really hyper horror or grotesque creature sculptures/doll customization, so he kind of just laches onto this man who seems to be larger than life and is far from bothered by Remus’s ‘not safe for common convos’ way of talking and its nice not to have someone run away. (Honestly, the feeling is mutual between the two)

As for what everone looks like, I kinda just want to leave that up to interpretation? If I end up drawing any of them they’ll probably be reflective of the way that I usually draw the sides, just human or vampire-ified, and maybe have a trait or two tweaked specifically for the au? The only real thing standing out to me is that i might give Remus or Roman Albinism? Idk yet.

mike grew up being an only child, and always around the company of his mother in their house. his father was always traveling back and forth from south korea to the states for work. his parents have met at work on one of his father’s trips to the states, and they fell in love. his mother being american-born, she couldn’t really leave philadelphia. she loved it there. so they decided to keep it a long distance relationship.

sometime during those fleeting meetings, she had gotten pregnant with michael. and of course, his father spoiled them both, giving them everything they wanted. he never left them to fend for themselves. when the boy was born, his father named him myungjun, and his mother decided to name him michael for his english name. the nicknames jun, mike, and sometimes junnie were often heard whenever his parents or childhood friends called him.

up until mike was five years old in 2004, he’s lived with his mother, while his father was leaving and coming back for a week or two. but that year, he’s finally moved to the states and stayed with them for longer nights. he even finally married michael’s mother. of course, he still disappeared for a few days or weeks on end for work.

but that was also the year michael’s mother found out that her husband was with another woman. michael has never seen his mother break down like that before. sadly, the young boy was peering into the room when the fight happened and witnessed everything. his mother made her partner choose between the two women, and he eventually told her that he was going to divorce his first wife for her, and appeared to have gone through with his promise. because after that incident, he’s been around more often.

by early 2015, when michael had just turned 16, his mother had gotten a teaching job in ashdown academy, which resulted in their move to san verto, california. meaning, new school and new friends for mike. meanwhile, his dad was still traveling a lot for business and coming back whenever he could.

michael has grown up as a cheerful and energetic child. his friends at any school he went to would tell you how much of a great friend he is, how trustworthy and caring he is. it was so easy for him to make friends anywhere. he was the type of friend who would smile at you and listen to you talk on and on about whatever you liked, and the type who would cheer you on with anything you want to achieve. he wanted everyone to feel included and loved.

so it wasn’t that hard for him to get along with new people once he moved to town. he was a very social person. 

he was also the type of teenager who was out there doing things he wasn’t supposed to. he missed his old friends and his old home, but he wanted to have fun with all the new kids he was befriending. that simply resulted in him going to house parties as an underaged teen to ‘have fun’. his mother didn’t approve of him coming home very late at night, clearly smelling like smoke and alcohol. 

internally he was a depressed mess. of course, no one is completely happy as they grow up. his family was a mess, even if it appeared as fine to everyone else. his family life affected him so much while growing up. mike sometimes could disappear for a few days in his room, and it was always during some of his bad spells.

what made it worse was the day he found out the truth.

it was 2017 when michael walked into his father’s office in their house, looking for him to ask him about something. and instead of finding the man, he found a stack of papers poking from underneath his father’s laptop. upon closer look, they appeared to be divorce papers. michael’s heart sunk, thinking his parents were breaking it off.

michael is a curious kid, he couldn’t help but close the door and read the papers. but what he saw wasn’t his mother’s name, it was another woman. his heart raced, as he put things back where they were and immediately left the room. michael had found out one of his father’s many secrets. he never divorced his first wife all those years ago. he lied and somehow stayed with both women without suspicion... well, until now. clearly the other woman was breaking it off for a reason. 

michael couldn’t help his curiosity. he came back to the room later that night and snapped as many pictures as he could of evidence he could find. he even found his father’s phone (which was easy to figure out the password of) and found a plethora of pictures of the man with a different family, different kids and a different partner. he airdropped the pictures to himself to avoid leaving any traces behind and quickly left again.

a quick search on facebook, and he managed to find the first wife. it was easy with the name and pictures he had. if anything, michael prided himself on being a good internet detective... or stalker. he spent everyday trying to find the rest of the family on the internet. he found the woman’s young daughter on instagram and twitter, along with her older son’s accounts as well. it felt weird. it was a constant “now what?” for michael. he’s found them. what was he going to do now? he couldn’t just message them and tell them everything. and he couldn’t break his mother’s heart by letting her know.

except he had to let her know. he could never live with the fact that he knew his father was betraying her this entire time. and so michael told her everything, and after comforting her all night when she broke down yet again, she immediately ended things and asked for a divorce. now it was just michael and his mother, all alone. and for once, having to get by on their own.

thankfully they were safe, with his mother’s amazing money management skills, and the job she got at the academy, they managed to live their regular lives despite the heavy feeling of a broken family looming around them. the two just wanted to be happy again.

michael spent the next few years trying to lead a normal life. his mental health had gotten worse after everything he’s found out. he went to college, and he continued trying to do well in school. he really wasn’t the best when it came to grades, but he was trying his best.

and truthfully, he couldn’t help but make a few spare accounts on some social medias to follow his father’s other family.

but he eventually decided to just let it go, assuming they definitely knew about his mother and himself, which would explain the first divorce. so he decided to put it in the past and move on.

his mother has moved on as well. she found herself someone who actually cares about her so much (mike’s stupid ass has done a secret background check to make sure this dude wasn’t another cheater lmaoo) and now mike isn’t an only child anymore. it’s been 2 years since his little sister yuna was born, and he loves her so much. he still isn’t used to the idea of a new fatherly figure in his life, but he’s.... getting there.

Favorite character: Guy of Gisborne (who else? I blame Richard Armitage, Sarah Kennedy on radio 2 for planting the idea in my head, and my easily swayed 12 year old self. But also he's a good fucking character lol)

Least favourite character: uhhh as a *character* probably Robin. Literally such an arrogant piece of shit who rarely acknowledges his own privilege (when it comes to his gang and the fact that he's a noble and they're...not) or his own faults. And we're still meant to see him as the ultimate good guy/hero. Pass.

5 favourite ships:

- Guy/Marian (I want to be clear though, this is one of those ships where the character dynamic is absolutely fascinating and a joy to watch, but I honestly don't think it actually becoming canon would be a) a good story or b) good for either of them)

- Guy/Allan (just. I fucking love how Allan gives no shits and treats Guy like a normal fucking human. He calls him Giz! And that dream Guy has about both Marian AND Allan massaging his shoulders while sweet talking him...I'm just saying. Anyway as opposed to Guy/Marian I actually think these two are good for each other and I wish their dynamic had been explored more, especially when Guy joins the outlaws in s3 but it's not explored *at all*)

- Marian/Allan friendship (I'm realising doing this that I care far more about the friendships in this show than the romantic relationships. But seriously, these two people are in exactly the same position in opposite sides ie spies for the various teams, and that's fascinating, especially as Allan still protects Marian/has her back after he's found out. They probably kind of mildly dislike each other at first but it's bc they see a lot of their worst selves in each other. But honestly together these two can rule the world with banter and pure deviousness)

- Much/literally anyone who respects and values him as a person I'm begging you pleassssee (seriously, he gets this for like half an episode with Eve, which is lovely, but then it's back to being the butt of the Gang's jokes and Robin's punching bag/servant/""best friend"". And when Much wants any kind of display of friendship and affection from Robin, Robin makes fun of it and acts like it's such a chore. Ugh.)

Character I find most attractive: Guy of Gisborne started off my lifelong Richard Armitage obsession so it can't be anyone else. That is a beautiful, beautiful man. Marian is also gorgeous.

Character I would marry: Djaq or Much

Character I would be best friends with: literally all of Team Castle - Guy bc he badly needs /someone/ to be his friend (although I doubt he'd let me), Allan bc he'd be hilarious, Marian bc we could bitch about everyone and just have some good times. Ultimately Allan is probably the kind of person I'd be most likely to befriend irl.

A random thought: @Robin King Richard sucks bro and when he dies Prince John is gonna be king anyway, monarchy as a concept sucks anyway, consider dismantling it instead of putting all your faith in things getting better when the king returns

An unpopular opinion: I actually don't hate s3 the way much of the fandom seems to? Yes it was a trainwreck (hello? Have you watched this show? The whole thing is a trainwreck) and I hate that Marian died but I do think it went some interesting places we hadn't been before, especially re Guy (who lbr is the character I care most about). Don't get me wrong, it didn't do it very well, but I rewatch it more than s1.

My canon OTP:....uhhhhhh....does Guy/Marian count?? They're not really an OTP anymore though (although they used to be when I was like. 13.) They just have a cool dynamic.

My non-canon OTP: Guy/Allan ig

Most badass character: Marian, 100%. Especially s1 Marian. Icon. Queen of guerrilla fighting and sassy comebacks and saying fuck you to men.

Most epic villain: I guess the Sheriff? Idk about epic but he is the epitome of cartoonishly evil, which is fun to watch. Love to hate him.

Character I feel the writers screwed up: What character DIDN'T they screw up? But I feel like they screwed over Isabella the worst. They made her seem unreasonably evil when her anger was entirely 100% valid and fair.

How I feel about this character: my terrible overdramatic emo son. Wish he could have had a proper redemption arc without killing Marian.

Any/all people I ship romantically with this character: Marian and Allan. And I guess Meg for the brief moment in time where that was a thing.

My favourite non-romantic relationship for this character: I know we only get a hint of it (and she dies) but I love Guy's relationship with Ghislaine. I just feel like they had such a loving relationship and then it all went to hell :( I also kind of think both Guy/Marian and Guy/Allan might work better/be more interesting as friendships

My unpopular opinion about this character: tbh in this fandom even liking him is an unpopular opinion to a lot of people 😂 I think if you took away the sheriff, he'd treat Marian better than Robin treats her (I mean, in some ways he already does but also like...he burns her house down soooo)

One thing I wish had happened with this character in canon: oh boy so many things. But the two places my mind goes most often are 1. Escaping the castle (with Allan and/or Marian), probably after Treasure of the Nation (ie my favourite RH episode of all time) and either joining the gang (equal parts hilarious and angsty) or starting a life somewhere new, away from all this bullshit and 2. Just more gang shenanigans after he joins them in s3. We had some, which was great, but I would have love to see more, to see him grudgingly becoming the weird ex villain friend and then actually building relationships with some of the gang

My crossover ship: Guy + therapy (also I'm sure I've thought about this before but I really can't think of a good answer). Maybe Eleanor Shellstrop (as friends)? I feel like that would be a fun dynamic to explore.

You stayed silent, swirling your fork continuously in your plate of spaghetti as you watched your roommate sniffle roughly for the tenth time, his eyes fighting to stay open. It really didn't make sense for him to be fighting his fate with sleep, yet here he was ... holding back yawns and rubbing his nose roughly with the back of his hand. "Well that's ... disgusting." You mumbled, sighing heavily as you reached over to grab him a tissue. "Why don't you just take some medicine and sleep it off?"

You really had no idea why this man insisted on being stubborn. You figured you could just ignore him for the rest of the night and go on about your business, but you knew you were way too nice to do that. Snapping out of your thoughts, you blinked quickly and look back at your food. Another sniffle met your ears a second later, this one making you cringe at the sound of thick mucus filling the kitchen.

You moved towards the cabinet and opened it, hoisting yourself up on your tippy toes as you tried to reach for the top shelf. You really weren't thinking when you allowed him to talk you into getting this fancy ass condo together. In the back of your mind, you figured he had purposely chose this apartment because it would allow you to need him. He was weird like that. As much as he would huff and puff when you would ask for his help with a simple task, you knew that he liked the feeling of being needed.

When you came to the conclusion that you were just embarrassing yourself, you plopped back down on your feet and looked at him.

"Are you gonna even help me?" You rolled your eyes, watching as he stared at you with a half bored, half amused expression.

I’ve been in this weird flip floppy mood lately…not awful but not entirely okay, just kinda. here. March always kinda gets me that way for a lot of different reasons.

Which is like, an extremely embarrassing thing for me to say bc it’s just a name, what a little thing to blow up into a big deal. I guess it’s an overwhelming gesture to me that people know my name and use it, and even remember it or think of me long enough to remember it. I think it all kinda ties back together to being like, anchored. There are times where I don’t feel real? I’m not sure if there’s a word for it. Like I’m so convinced that if I just disappeared very few people would ever say anything, and if they were sad about it it wouldn’t last long bc I don’t make a big impression in peoples lives 🤔 and then I’d be easily forgotten bc that’s just how I’ve always felt.

I know other peoples opinions aren’t important and it’s never a good thing to hinge yourself on what other people think. But it’s important to me 😫 I hold up a mirror to myself and I go ? Am I thoughtful? Am I kind? Am I overbearing and annoying? Are people too nice to stay things to my face and pity me? And then I almost want people to say bad things about me, what they really think, so I can feel some relief that oh god okay good, I was right to be so anxious and worried and I WAS being annoying or something and then fix it. Even if there is no problem! Like girl wtf LOL. And then when people do say nice things I’m like, oh they don’t actually know me…they’re just saying that bc that’s what they’re supposed to say. Like my brain…..why….It’s so humiliating to want to know so badly what ppl think of me but idk! I just feel like no one ever says stuff like that to me out of the blue so I’m always left wondering….and I know other people have different love languages so I’m probably really missing blatant signs but I need words, I’m as dumb as a fucking rock and need shit spelled out for me 🪨 and the at the same time I suppress myself SO MUCH when it comes to giving love to my friends. I dunno…..I’ve been trying to be positive lately but it’s way too much to do that. I’m so used to being so vicious and awful to myself that it’s like, idk, a vampire being sprayed with holy water. I both want to be kind to myself and also take a flail and flay myself till the flesh sloughs off my bones bc I hate myself but also don’t?? I’m so mad at myself all the time. I’m not excited about graduating- I’m neutral at best, more ashamed that it’s taken me so long for degrees that are useless. Ashamed that I’m 25 and still so slow with getting started in life. I know things have been really bad for me. My 20’s have been so incredibly miserable, and each year usually gets worse and I shouldn’t be hard on myself bc of that but I don’t feel like I can or should use that as an excuse. I know I should be kinder to myself. But even thinking “I’m trying” is a thought I can barely handle and I have to quickly get rid of that thought like I’m taking my hand from a hot burner. I hate how I look, I hate how pathetic I feel, I hate how helpless I am and I hate not having any control in my life right now. I hate admitting to myself that I am a profoundly lonely person despite having a decent amount of friends and I am terribly ashamed of being in my own skin and just being myself. I don’t get why people like me when I don’t even like myself. I think “I wish I had a friend like myself” and then also think “you are not a good friend at all are extremely annoying” at the same time 😵‍💫 like I can’t make up my mind. I have enough shame about myself that I can rival any Catholic guilt. Even with my birthday coming up I just feel shame about my age and shame for wanting the day to be about me. I hate my birthday so much and at the same time I want to feel special. But then I’m like it’s fake cuz it’s your bday people are obligated to be nice and then I’m like GRRR!!! Who cares about bdays when you’re getting older. But also all I’ve ever wanted for years is just a little love. A surprise, that someone thought of me without me like…instigating anything. And even then the thought embarrasses me bc I can’t TELL people I want that cuz that’s obligation and pity, and they’ll only remember I said it. I want someone to do it cuz they thought of it or something without me having to feel like I’m begging for it. Which is stupid and makes no sense. It’s so embarrassing to crave even the smallest amount of friendship or thoughtfulness like I do. I even feel awful for thinking that cuz I know there are people who love me and think of me as a friend and yet I don’t see it and can’t believe it most times. ahhh man this is a tough one friend i’m so sorry you’re in this situation. it’s really difficult when you have a really close friend who disagrees with you on topics that are this touchy. and i know it’s sometimes really hard to keep friendships with people who maintain opinions that make you anxious and uncomfortable. 

i think you’re doing everything you can, sharing information and trying to educate. but the fact of the matter is that some people don’t want to learn and don’t want to change and sometimes there’s very little we can do about that. oftentimes trying to force people to see things the way we see them can be more trouble than it’s worth. it’s always good to try and it’s always good to defend what you believe especially when you know it to be right, but it sounds like your friend isn’t really interested in learning. 

i can try to find you some reading to give her that might help sway her but i think it’s also good to think about how many spoons you have when you have these conversations with her and what you value in your friendship. like i have some friends who i disagree with on pretty major things, but it’s very rare that you have friends who agree with you about everything. but i feel that our friendship is more important than those disagreements. sometimes that’s not the case. there are racist friends i used to have that i could not keep bc their racism was a deal breaker. 

so it really depends on you and where your comfort lies. i don’t think engaging in conversations like this with this friend would be the best for your comfort and happiness. she may be a very very good friend but it might be best to sort of disengage whenever these conversations come up especially if she’s not interested in changing her mind. value yourself. if she talk about this a lot on tumblr, yes perhaps unfollowing is best. perhaps avoiding this conversations if at all possible with her would be best. i know our instinct is to bring people around to our side of things, but i think sometimes we lose sight of how much more upsetting it is for us to do all this defending rather than stepping back and not bothering to sway people who don’t want to be swayed.

sometimes when seyren goes to kathryne for advice things get a reversal: sometimes it’s him giving advice to her bc poor girl tries so hard to be so above it all when she’s honestly breaking inside and it doesn’t make her feel any better that she’s venting it out to someone it just makes her all the more frustrated at herself

no, it doesn’t help that the first time kathryne vented everything out to was to seyren bc he was somehow the person she was trying to be: composed and never failing

seyren honestly doesn’t understand kathryne’s frustrations completely, but he tells her truthfully that he doesn’t have the slightest clue on why she would try so hard to keep herself invulnerable - she may think differently, but to seyren emotions are not a sign of weakness but strength, no matter how ugly or beautiful a person driven by its influence would turn out

kathryne tells him it’s not that easy for her but seyren says that he + bio 3′s there for her and whatever she may be going through, he would be always a listening ear

he may not understand her completely, but it’s better than just bottling herself up - he even goes as far to say that perhaps the reason why kathryne struggles with her emotions is because she never bothered expressing them completely + she’s kept them away for so long that she never understood why she felt those emotions in the first place

she gets terribly salty at seyren for days but actually that proves seyren right, at first kathyrne’s so annoyed that he has the gall to say all that to her + acting so high and mighty like he understands her but over time she realizes that she’s being petty and well hot damn, does she feel sheepish about that

that argument resolved and put aside aside seyren takes this as a good opportunity to get to know her better, he was a bit unsure on how to approach her at first but now he sees that at least, kathryne wasn’t as desensitized as she would appear

seyren makes it a point to ask how she’s doing at least once a week and kathryne’s a bit miffed bc she feels like a child but honestly she does feel a little better when they have their talks

the ‘composed + never failing’ image that kathryne has of seyren eventually breaks, bc she realizes that during their talks, seyren is also overcome with emotions at times but he handles it differently, at least way differently from how she’d handle hers

they enjoy each other’s company at regular intervals and while they would usually talk about serious stuff they also enjoy playing a fair amount of board games

kathryne has a lead by a slight margin

the most cryptic words seyren ever said to her remain to puzzle her tho

kathryne’s little on the words but that doesn’t bother seyren much - but when they actually do get to talking he really appreciates kathryne’s honesty and is very interested on how she sees things - bc face it man, logic is sometimes so illogical but she makes things so… logically simple.

he’s not an idiot really but he just sometimes asks kathryne about random complicated stuff - he even asks her about how she’s able to conjure her spells once, and he listens to kathryne on the whole thing

she’s very impressed on how… logical seyren’s questions are (she’s not insulting seyren’s knowledge rly it’s just kathryne’s just… really well-read), especially concerning magic. even she has to ponder about some of his questions a bit, that’s why she finds talking to seyren a challenge. he sees things clearly for what they are without personal bias + judgement, which is like hard when magic’s the case

and even harder, supposedly, for someone like him who’s in the chivalry whose hearts are sworn to God / Odin

the q&a stuff’s bound to give someone a nosebleed but they’re really reasonable when they talk: they make sure to listen thoroughly before putting in their opinions and queries, like a really polite debate

when they do get to talking about sensitive stuff aka morals + faith + all that seyren’s built on, she can obviously see him struggling with himself and he even declares with a wry smile that he’s a hypocrite

what he does everyday to adventurers + corpses + his sword + his armor are a living testament of his failure + blasphemous actions - he even admits to kathryne that looking at them - she, margaretha, cecil, howard, eremes - furthermore twists the knife in his stomach

the guilt’s like the stench of blood he’s never going to get rid of from his hands + armor + pretty much his whole self

the nightmares are as often as the times he has to draw his sword in a day + as loud and piercing like the screams of the nth adventurer he’s slayed in the day

he’s a damned failure and he brought all of them down with him

it gets worse when he meets bio 4 bc they were sent shortly after seyren’s party went missing

Snk Positivity Day 6: Love Your Series

Im gonna put this under a read more because I cant think of express my feelings on something without turning it into a full length incoherent ass essay so!!

I’ve been in the snk fandom since I was like 12 lol - Im 16 now so that’s like, five years?? I can still remember like I’d see a lot of gifs n stuff of it going around tumblr and for some reason I just really felt I wouldn’t like it like I had smthing lowkey against it?? But then I decided to watch it one day, n i still remember, I was just chilling on my laptop watching it in the sitting room, my family around me and stuff and goddd it was soo good... but it made me tear up... n bITCH I was NOT! about to cry in the sitting room around my family. I was not! prepared for that. That night I stayed up till possibly 1 or 3am just watching it, I must’ve gotten to like around episode 6 I think? I loved it so much I rlly fell in love, I finished it all in just three days.... three days of which I also went to school and stuff and had to go to my friends party.... bitch i was pissed i didnt even like that person....i just wanted to finish snk lmaooo 😭

Im pretty sure Id spend sm of my time invested in snk and looking through snk tumblrs and stuff and other fandom stuff of it, I loved it so much!!! like!! thats all I did and even then I was still forcing my friends to read/watch it. I was really cringey in 6th class wow lmaoo I would literally go around during break with the snk manga like xD!!! eren is my baby!!! saying shit like that yikes.... bitch first of all hes 4 years older than you...your literally 12.....

Especially then, when I was younger it brought me sm happiness like when little me was going through shit then little insecure young me, you know how people say u use entertainment to escape or whatever, a distraction, idk.... like that was rlly it man idk ho to describe it without sounding weird i swear it was like my main source of happiness omg lol

Almost always, its very rare like I’ll be watching a movie, listening to music, anything like that just consuming some piece of media or literally just like. living my life and I see something and im like. omg snk au in which.... or I just somehow relate it back to snk or some of its characters lol. Like even when I was on holiday in Venice last year I was literally like thinking of a fanfic of like, the 104th on holidays in Venice like how wholesome...

Like I really do love snk I think about it every day without fail, and I honestly think I’ll always always always love it, and even if I don’t, it’s always gonna have a special place in my heart. Like, I liked it since i was literally 12 years old and it helped my through shit and I just have so much good memories associated with it. I honestly rlly do picture myself being like a 40 year old woman and still loving snk but like the fandom is dead or something... 😭 I rlly hope that never happens.....bc that will happen my 40 year old ass will b like boiis whens season 10 coming out ? Like I really hope snk is one of those series that kind of just lives on forever, or atleast for a very long time - Like Harry Potter for example

Okay, all that was really personal and I’d be surprised if anyone is reading this anyway, but I love looking back on it and talking about snk like this, I love it :) Butttt, getting to one of the reasons why I think I might love snk so much, and I mean, I can’t really pin it down why I love it so much, I dont think anyone can pin down EXACTLY why they love something, especially a series, but I think one thing I really like, and it becomes really apparent when I look at other series is like, they have a good balance between male and female characters if that makes sense. Like theres not way more men in the show than there is women, like how it is in some series or like, theres not way more men in the show than there is women, and the female characters in the show aren’t just like background characters pretty much, and they’re all good fleshed out and developed characters n shit. I think people have talked about this before but yeah.. And the female characters aren’t sexualised or anything like that and like, theres basically little to no fanservice at all which is nice. Supereyepatchwolf said something about it in his video about snk, how it can appeal to everyone because anyone of any age and gender and such can be in the survey corps n stuff... :P

And the characters just in general of course :) I honestly think the characters is one of snks strongest points, like... im not about to do a full on character analysis on anyone here lol but they’re just so amazing. Like I think on first glance it can probably be easy for people to sort most of them into like a trope or something or just write them off as cliche - mostly eren is victim to this bc people are like typical shounen boy !!! but like. you know anyway. I wish I was better at expressing my feelings and thoughts lol. Like god idk i feel like its so easy for someone who idk might just be a casual fan or smthing to just kinda see the characters on their more surface level without seeing how much depth they actually have - and I feel like that could also easily happen with anime only ppl. Like snk really does have so much great n complex n developed characters, especiallyyy now with the timeskip, more so now than ever. Like you know when you love something so much that you cant just pin point one thing about it... because its like.... everything about it i love n everything within it works to like compliment everything in it if that makes sense u get me?? like i cant just pinpoint ONE THING its the whole thing.... why i love snk? *directs u to link of readsnkmanga.com* or something lol

as for the characters themselves, obviously u can tell, with my url, u can take a guess at who my favourite is :) since the timeskip, i dont like him as much - not that i dislike him, i could literally never - but timeskip eren is basically a whole new person - and im not saying that in a bitter tone or anything, if anything its cool and i appreciate it and i understand why eren is like this now, all the shit hes been through- stuff so singular that barely anyone else would be able to understand, no one, if anything. So i understand why hes like this, and as i said earlier, this’ one of snks strong points its complex and rlly developed characters... The things I admired about Eren is just like... his good and bad, everything. How passionate he is, how he wears his heart on his sleeve - that of which being his most notable quality imo, and he expresses himself in an unapologetic manner like.... the courtroom scene... he rlly shouted that in front of all those people... how headstrong, stubborn and impulsive he is. I relate to Eren alot, thats part of the reason why I love him so much because I think I can kinda see myself in him.. but on the same hand, I think it’s also because he possesses a lot of traits I admire. Eren never backs down even when the whole world seems to be against him. He holds on firmly to what he believes in and never gives in, even when literal guns or canons are being pointed towards him. He’s full of determination and will power and he knows what he wants, and he’s also not afraid to express his opinion, even if he knows that he’ll be laughed at or be largely disagreed with.. And I admire his impulsiveness too. Those are all things I admire and other things I didn’t mention.. like me, I’m a very non confrontational person, I always feel things out before getting to it, and even then a lot of the time I just don’t at all. I might second guess my emotions and feelings when it comes to relationships with people especially, and I can a lot of the time stifle or keep quiet about my own beliefs, not completely keeping quiet, but not speaking them out as firmly as I believe them in my own mind, yielding? more I guess, if people disagree with me, I might step down a little - Which isn’t a completely bad thing, it’s good to be openminded and to see other sides, but when it’s coming from a place of embarassment or insecurity, not so much. So I really admire those traits in Eren :) I relate to him a lot, but I also know that in a lot of ways too, we are veryy different. I’ve even thought before, if I knew someone like Eren irl would I even like them lol?? Who knows lol. But as a character, I love him :) My other two favourtie characters after Eren, Levi and Jean, I won’t go into them as much as I did Eren but with them, and not just that, all of the other reasons they’re my faves.. I have like more of a ‘crush’ on them lmaooo like with them i could read so much /reader fanfic lol... but even though Eren is my #1 I could nEVER...god NO lol. And I think thats also down to the fact, as I’ve been saying I seen myself in Eren... rather than the other way around :))))))))

Like god there have been so many times I’ve laughed, cried at stuff in this fandom, made good memories as a result of it irl too... bullied my friends into watching it.... Like I have nothing but good memories. I really can’t express enough how positively snk has impacted my life like I genuinely can’t, it’d be impossible.. I seriously love it :) I’ve made friends bc of it, gotten closer to friends bc of our mutual interest in it, stuff like that...:) And even if those things didn’t happen, I’d still love the series and its fandom itself. :) I seriously can’t thank enough, the ppl that contribute to this fandom, I really can’t. Everything, and everyone to small and big creators, thank you so much. Well known and lesser known creators, like just everything and everyone, seriously. Everyone is just why this fandom is so great and!! Like I just think how lucky am I to have smthing like snk have such a big fandom and stuff and so many great people in it. Like y’know when you see your favourite fanfic update, you see your favourite artist has put out smthing new, even just see a funny snk text post or something, it all can really brighten and even make your day, and its so good :) There are so many amazing creators in this fandom, fanfics that are honestly better than published books I’ve read - like seriously, some of this stuff seriously deserves to e published or something!! And the fact that so much of these creators are putting their work out there and sharing with us for free, is just so great, and I’ll never not be grateful for it :)

Like seriously, returning back to when I was like 12-14, some days back then when I was younger it really felt like y’know the only things I could take comfort in was this series and its characters and stuff yknow.... and maybe im just being and emo teen but im getting kinda emotional thinking about it just now :’) Like seriously... I feel like im maybe being too much in this post lol but seriously this series means a lot to me.. as I said, I can honestly really picture myself being like 40 and still rlly loving snk like no matter what, whatever happens, wherever the series goes, whatever the hell, it’ll always hold a special place in my heart, because its helped me through a lot, a lot of bad days, I have nothing but good memories associated with it, made friends, seen some of the most beautiful art and read rlly great writing!! Just like yeah. Thank u Isayama and this entire fandom.....

and I was gonna peace out but I also want to appreciate and throw some love @ Isayamas art and art style. Obviously, Isayama was a bit infamous in the earlier days for his art not looking so great (Which also is amazing bc like a manga with not so great art like his in the beginning... grew to become so BIG!! like who would’ve thought) - even so the character design and stuff was all really good?? Like I also think thats a strong point he has too!! And all those years of practicing really shows, because damn!! look at his art now!! It’s really damn nice and im not just saying that lol :P
