Listen I feel the need to laugh because I just saw someone on Twitter call this fandom weird because someone wrote a may/Buck fic.

That’s what y’all think is weird????

“They’re siblings!!” Eeehhhh 9-1-1 is very found family, so I get why you don’t like it, but like no they’re not. People ship actual siblings all the time; that has to be much weirder than may/buck, sorry.

I think this fandom is so dominated by certain ships that any other ship, no matter what, gets side-eyed regardless of what it is. I’m honestly shocked at how strongly people stick to those ships (Madney, Henren, Bathena, Buddie) that any other ship that involves one half of these pairs just doesn’t have enough ground to get a real foothold.

Bucktommy is the ship that’s pushing this the most at the moment, but as evident by the current ship war, is still getting significant pushback.

I wasn’t in the fandom before January of this year, so I don’t really know what the environment was like. I do not know if there were ship wars or whatever during the previous seasons.

I just think it’s interesting how seemingly cohesive the fandom ships were before 7x04.

Also May/Buck is not the weirdest this fandom could do and I’m disappointed anyone thinks so.

This deviated I just think it’s funny/interesting. lol

For now Jian Li will carry Katara's basket all the way to the Kyoshi Warriors' dojo and, once there, they'll mercilessly tease Sokka when they see him in uniform.

and he's not sure what to do but surely sending him to cang qiong will fuck up something in the plot and he can't come under even more investigation and cang qiong tryouts dont happen for months anyway and his system would probably never allow it (it doesnt. it would interfere with yue qingyuans story) but shen jiu is refusing to stay anywhere near this place and wants to learn cultivating to protect himself make sure nothing like this ever happens again and sqh panics harder and

okay. on second thought, maybe this was a bad idea. but he stumbles over himself and shushes baby shen jiu's very understandable freaking out and asks his king for the first thing hes ever asked for other than his own life.

You know, it’s an extremely likely possibility that if you romance Lae’zel, the first people she’s exposed to for a significant amount of time that are in a romantic relationship (other than her and you) would be Isobel and Aylin

Which just leads to an increasing amount of hilarity because by the end of her Act 2 romance arc, Lae’zel is like actually acknowledging that she’s in a romantic relationship and happy about it and she’s probably gotten to the point where she’s at least a lot more comfortable showing affection in front of people before Isobel and Aylin join you, but she’s still likely extremely unsure about how your whole relationship works

So like, I could totally see Lae’zel just like silently noting that Isobel and Aylin have a “flesh-bond” and absolutely not commenting on it at all but spending the next several days very closely watching them and like furiously taking notes

OR I could see her being just comfortable enough with showing public affection that she’s like “we must not allow them to appear to have the stronger flesh-bond. We must show that we are stronger” but then utterly panicking if you try to take her up on that in any way

either way Lae’zel is seeing Aylin loudly proclaim every emotion she has and is sitting there writing down everything and underlining the word “loud” several times OR she’s trying to match Aylin who is again loudly proclaiming every single thing she and Isobel does or thinks and telling you to begone every three seconds so that she can stare at Isobel and fuck her

But most likely it would be Lae’zel trying some combination of these two things so it’s just chaos
