This is Zu—I mean, Jian Li and Katara's second meeting in the Kyoshi Warriors AU. The first proper one, anyway.
Once they get through a minor difference of opinion or two (“I can carry my own basket!” “Never said you—” “I'm not weak!” “I didn't—” “Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean—” “Would you listen for once, woman?!” ) they'll become nearly inseparable.
For now Jian Li will carry Katara's basket all the way to the Kyoshi Warriors' dojo and, once there, they'll mercilessly tease Sokka when they see him in uniform.

Agni bless the child.#And then poor Zuko offers to carry her basket because he's seen her do all the work alone and the freaking Avatar has just refused to help#And momma Ursa raised a gentleman. So of course he wants to help!#But Katara's had to deal with Sokka's “traditional views on women” all the way to Kyoshi and Aang is busy with his little fanclub#And now this extremely handsome stranger who's really just trying to be nice (he's also so awkward it's adorable) offers to carry her basket#And he's being really nice and sweet and considerate about it damn it#Of course she snaps!#She still thanks him for his help tho. Once they absolutely murder Sokka with their teasing they become a package deal.

When Ember asked him to be her duet at a concert, Danny didn't think it was a good idea, but the ghost insisted and said she was sure he had a very good voice. In the end the halfa accepted, and they passed off their ghostly appearance as some kind of exotic make-up. They were Phantom and Ember, "Ghost Stars".
Oddly enough, that was how Danny discovered that his voice was...strangely good for singing. The people around him seemed vaguely hypnotized before Ember snapped them out of said state with a solo on her guitar. People said it was an amazing experience.
Danny decided to accept more of the ghost invitations and in a very short time they had become very popular musicians - they even toured! but when they were passing through Gotham, they were stopped by the dark knight.
Batman was very concerned about the mind control he had noticed at several concerts and decided to confront the source. It was best to thwart their plans before they happened. His sons were not convinced about his deductions.

it’s not a coincidence that season four, the season where debbie hits puberty, is the season where the fandom starts to gang up on her.
#even in season three#she starts to hit puberty and is no longer a cute little girl so she’s now ruined#in season four she didn’t even do anything bad she just had a little more attitude#which makes sense considering how in every episode of season three she endured a traumatic event#and in season four frank’s dying- fiona’s in prison cus liam did coke- lip’s at college- and ian’s missing#of course she’s upset she has a lot going on#she used to be the optimist- sure- but frank destroyed that along with her project#and that’s really the only part of her personality that drastically changed#so if that’s the thing you don’t like your hate should be directed at frank and not at her#i’m sorry she snapped at fiona a few times and was a bit cringey#but she was also literally thirteen#shameless#debbie gallagher

idk i just think it’s a little weird that almost every character who gets the “innocent baby” / “little ray of sunshine” treatment usually ends up just having neurodivergent traits and actual negative traits in the show that nobody pays attention to. like idk man it just feels like diet infantilization to me and it’s a teeny weeny bit uncomfortable to see all the time

there’s a question to be asked i think about to what extent “getting out” can be conflated with “being saved” in this show, and what freedom actually means to any of these characters.
like you can argue that shiv saved ken by voting against him on gojo, but what if your intent behind saving someone is to inflict a worse punishment than if you’d just left them trapped? can a child weaned on poison survive on milk, or are you just sentencing them to a death by inches, starved of the only thing they know? and if you save someone specifically because you know that being saved is the worst thing that can happen to them, is that kindness or cruelty? at what point does a good thing become a malicious act?
and you can say that roman is finally free, but what exactly is he free from? the company? his father? does unlocking a cage mean saving a dog, or are you allowing him out on the street knowing there’s a kill shelter nearby? if the driving anxiety behind roman is that he’s an idiot and a failure—that he’ll never amount to anything, and trying will only lead to pain—and he’s finally cut loose once all of those anxieties have crystallized into cold hard fact in his mind, what has he actually escaped from? if the cage is in your mind, is it even possible for somebody else to unlock it?
the fundamental truth of a tragedy is that even being saved can be a death sentence, if the characters are incapable of escaping the thing doing them the most harm (themselves and their childhoods)

#got conjured up by a student witch#cute as a button#they don't make em like that in hollywood#great chef too#i was some kind of wolf-me but not a wearwolf#she tasked me to hunt invisible critters#kinda like rats or other pests#that only I could see (shimmering)#great fun#when I caught one I wrung it till it snapped#and then I tossed it to Pepper who bit them dead#while I was rummaging through her bed looking for critters#I found an entire live cow under her mattress#she said: off course there's a cow. then you sleep better#which I found made incredible sense#weird magic like that was all around#they also used rams to send messages#beasts would just run you over if you weren't careful#I think I was invisible to the headmistress too#and when witchgirl spoke to her all I heard was jibber jabber#but when she spoke to me I could understand perfectly fine#I love dreams wherein I am a beast#agile and fast#jumping around (from great heights!)#twas fun#lots of scary stuff went on#but you'd be surprised how fun scary stuff is#when you were conjured up by a witch#for the sole reason to take care of said scary stuff#oh and then the food

ive seen so many posts complaining about how "the datv companions are Too Nice to eachother", but the moment taash is rude or blunt or selfish or stubborn everyone starts losing their mind. i thought we wanted characters with flaws lol

#houndshowlings#fuck u mean it’s up to interpretation?#i get their relationship is strange & there’s no boundaries & silco enables jinx (likely out of fear of losing her just like he manipulates#her)#but i thought it was clear their relationship was father/daughter#even if jinx is adopted & never calls silco her father directly#like yes the writers purposely made it uncomfortable#but it was to subvert expectations.#many feared Silco was sexually grooming her bc their weird interactions#but it was to subvert tht fear#while still showing how he grooms her to be his weapon#and yet is far too permissive with her.#he doesn’t discipline her and allows her to get away without consequences when she fucks up.#he encourages her to be fearless and strong#yet at the same time isolates her and shields her from criticism & consequences#which encourages her codependency on him and her need for his approval#both r afraid of abandonment and betrayal#silco is trying to foster a ‘us vs them’ mentality in jinx so she won’t leave#which means not doing anything like a proper parent should bc snapping at her or punishing her too much could push her away from him#which he doesn’t want#so of course he allows her to do what she wants#and this has instilled in jinx a disregard for privacy and boundaries#pls the straddling & invasion of space was to show they’re relationship is fucked#but not in that way

#bridgerton#yes every Bridgerton lost their father and Violet lost her husband#but all of them expect for Anthony had been able to morn#while Anthony had to snap into the role of Viscount#imagine at 17 having to choose to save your mother or your unborn sister#man has severe PTSD not only from watching his father die but from that as well#I imagine that he will be extremely overprotective of Kate when she’s pregnant#of course Kate will know why Anthony told her why#also his mommy issues#how Violet had resented him for years#you can see it in s1 how she talks to him#it’s better in s2 but they still never got that closure until Kate’s accident#I love this man so much#every Bridgerton has had it easy (FIGHT ME) because of Anthony and I hate that they don’t see it#yes he’s cold towards his siblings WELL GEE I WONDER WHY#I hate their attitudes towards them EXCEPT for when Anthony paid for Ben to get into school that my dude was fucked up#you could have recommended him without the money and that would have been great

I like tarot because when I can feel in my gut, that something isn’t right, the cards give me insight on what it is that’s being hidden under the surface that I can’t see yet
