because even if no one else is interested, YOU are. you enjoy this idea. you're passionate about this concept. you should write for YOU, not for potential critics.

and even besides that, i guarantee you that there's at least 1 other person out there who would also enjoy your fic. it's essentially statistically impossible for you to be the only person on the planet who thinks the way you do, and enjoys the themes and ideas and characters and settings that you do.

write it. post it. take pride in the fact that you created something that you value. your fic exists, and that in of itself is amazing.

why do anti-jason fans always have an opinion on his characterization and how we write him in fanfic as if they've read anything beyond comics where his character is completely assassinated and written by individuals who despise him?

answer me truthfully: would you accept a comic as canon if it was written by someone who hates your favourite character? i'm not a tim fan so i'd mess up his entire storyline if i wrote a comic for him. would you read that and happily accept it as canon? because i assure you that i'd purposely mess his entire character up just because i dislike him. it would be full of bias because i don't understand his character as well as an actual tim fan does. would you still accept this comic as canon?

literally the majority of jason comics are written by people who don't like him and don't even know his source material. why shouldn't we nitpick what we wanna accept as canon??

okay I’m gonna say it. the timeline(s) “inconsistencies” (although I really don’t think they’re entirely inconsistent, just jumbled and out of order with each chapter’s release) needs to be addressed in an incredibly long and detailed masterpost that outlines all the current facts/theories/hints and gets updated with every future timeline chapter so that we know the true order of each chapter. now who’s gonna do it

Scoria and Sakura are best friends! It's so cute when I see the things they do together, and it makes me so beyond happy that they both came to live with me so that they could share their lives with each other. They absolutely insist on it, and does so much good for the other.

I can't imagine how else they could have found happiness if things hadn't worked out exactly as they did. Scoria has basically been Sakura's "emotional support snake" while she worked through things from her past I'll never fully know that caused her a lot of issues with panic and fear. Sakura knows this too, and looks out for her sister, the only one she truly trusts and feels completely safe with.

The moment they wake up they both want each other to snuggle and play with. Scoria loves to be affectionate with both me and her sister who seems to have not had this earlier in her life- but Scoria is showing her how nice it is not only directly but demonstrating with me and Sakura also trying, copying what she has seen her sister do.

Sometimes when one goes to check on the other they'll join in on... I'm not even sure what they were doing. But they had a good time while taking a mandated union break from digging tunnels for the isopods.

So happy I get to share in the adventures of these two best friends! It makes me so happy to see them living their best lives together, and being beyond content snuggled together with their found family.

There is currently a rather large discussion ongoing about the RW fandom behavior, drama, etc. I am not going to talk about the specifics of whats happened for a number of reasons. But what I do want to say is that if at any point you've harassed people over it, whether that be through anon asks or public posts- you did nothing but damage the ability for people to correctly process what is happening. You contributed nothing but harm to an already delicate situation. It does not matter what "side" you were on and I will not tolerate further interaction with me or my work if I found out you did such. If you let your personal hate for anyone boil over into threats, wishes for long term harm and petty comments meant to contribute nothing but slander or mental distress for the individuals involved who were already distressed (or acting irrationally) you did nothing but make it harder for people to process their emotions, thoughts and behaviors constructively. Regardless of who you think was in the right, who fucked up, whatever. It doesn't matter if they deserved it, or earned it, or if its an eye for an eye. Its difficult enough as it is to think clearly when presented with any kind of stressful situation and heckling people does nothing but make it worse and harder for them to explain themself in any capacity. I don't want you anywhere near me if you think that is an acceptable way to act.

One of the fun experiences I’ve had with the dragon age fan base here on tumblr.com in the last 10+ years is that folks put their vent/hate posts in that character’s main tags. It’s only after I reblog it and I get the vague post/rb about how something I was excited about and thought was being celebrated was actually getting shitted on by someone who spends their day being angry about a fictional man 🫳🌱

Controversial Opinion:

I hate when people go "well actually batman is really like in canon", like no be quiet. One canon can throw itself out the window. And two, batman is like the oldest super hero there is. Odds are that anyone's headcanon/thoughts about him is true considering there's so much media about him and the batfamily. Honestly this is why I don't want to get into comics. Everyone in comics for the most part (not everyone but from my point of view so far) has a higher than though/I'm the only real fan type vibes. I hate this view on fans that have different opinions/hasnt read comics. It sucks so much fun out of everything. I rather read webtoons or watch a fun cartoon/TV show or movie about batman than read comics at times because at least there's character growth and new things and no one is jumping down your throat going 'no that's wrong actually in canon'. Fandom media is for everyone and it's valid no matter where it comes from whether it's from comics or cartoons. That person is a fan, and stop shitting on them if they don't read as much comics and media as you. As long as no one is hurting anyone in real life, let people have their opinions about fandom, especially batman.

I really, genuinely hate the argument that Elphaba was just as selfish to ask Glenda to come with her, as Glenda is asking her not to start a revolution.

Like- the argument is that Glenda has shit to lose, right? That being a revolutionary takes away shit like shelter and food and water-

But. Even if she didn't go with Elphaba when asked. She didn't have to help the wizard. You can make an argument that she was in the perfect position to be groomed into it- but herein lies the issue.

She knows what is happening. She doesn't do a single damn thing to help. She tells elphaba to drop it, to be happy that the establishment chose her. Then refuses to go with. Its heartbreaking BECAUSE she has chosen a life of comfort, and privledge, over helping the animals (a very explicit metaphor for oppressed people) and her best friend, who is now being treated as a villain.

She spreads propaganda. She doesn't do shit from the inside. She actively fuels the fire for her best friends persecution and then cries because she feels bad about it. (While making very very minor chances at humanitizing her to the people WAY too late)

She IS the rich white woman who chose the system over everyone else. Because she was too scared to do anything.

This isn't to say she's an outright villain, because that's not my point at all- I just think we can acknowledge Glenda's privledge in the situation. (Also keeping in mind that she's being coerced by older/more powerful people she looks up to. I'm not ignoring how pivotal that is to the plot, it's just a lot to cover in one post and my focus is on this specific aspect of a take I've seen repeatedly in multiple forms)
