BBU Community Days 2024! In April!

Thank you, BBU community, for existing! To celebrate this community and our shared universe, I'll host a second instance of the BBU Community Days.

The event is open to everyone who enjoys the BBU. You don't have to be a writer or a long time participant, or anything, it's enough to just be someone who is fascinated by the universe! There's also no need to fill in all the prompts; no completionist badge will be awarded. The only "rule" is: if you want to boost your own content, please always boost someone else's too.

This year's prompts are in parts similar to last year's, some even stayed the same due to their success and popularity. Looking forward to seeing your new takes to it.

okay i NEED to know about fight so firty but you love so sweet, banger title, fall out boy beloved (also w(erew)olf in a christians clothing, gotta be about grace, incredibly excited about that that sounds intriguing as fuck)

OKAY so one is fic one is original fiction that i kinda realised i wanted to write. from that fic.

fight so dirty but you love so sweet is what i often refer to as siren au (bc that's a really long title), it's my longfic (ongoing we're at 60 chapters) that's jagertitty, starts with max becoming a siren when basically instead of dying at the waylon place he gets killed by the jocks!! and then eventually grace becomes a werewolf. and when that happens they (and the gang) begin to uncover a werewolf conspiracy which began because of someone grace and max killed together <3 there are also ghosts who haunt whoever killed them, but in a different way depending on what supernatural creature they are. very bisexual, very christian, monsters, fun times, there is a lot of murder!! the laws of the universe are considerably different bc i didn't wanna put the lib in there so they aren't!! one of my favourite chapter titles is chapter 38: lore drop 2: the seqwolf. yeah :)

then w(erew)olf in a christian's clothing was me going "oh i actually find this very cathartic to write about but i don't just wanna write ab it with grace bc she's an established character with certain pre-existing things and i want to figure out an oc with this stuff etc" if that makes sense. also it's set in australia because i cannot be arsed to look up the us education system for the billionth time. so!! mina (who this moodboard is ab) is at uni studying software engineering, she has a perfectly scheduled life, and wants to maintain that into her adulthood. thinking about her, she doesn't like change. when kalyani, someone she knows from some fucking christian group or Bible study, asks her very desperately to help her with this camp, she ends up helping. when we meet her, she begins to realise that she has a massive crush on kalyani (she thinks it just appeared then, but mina doesn't like kids and she doesn't know her super well like 83% of why she helped was because she was already crushing on kalyani). bc she realises this one night + someone else is being kinda a bitch, she goes into the bush behind the cabins to calm herself. and gets attacked by an animal. but when she wakes up in a hospital bed, her senses are working overdrive and she feels... fine?? not how she fucking should. eventually, she Werewolfs TM (bc of course that's going to happen when you get attacked by a wolf wolves aren't even native to australia) and tries very hard to repress or cure it, her bisexuality, and her anger at the situation. it Does Not Work. we follow her as she learns to accept herself and unravel her feelings in contrast to what she thinks is right and how she combines her morals with where she Is. i have like a 7k doc on mina alone from an early (majorly different) idea i had on her i love her so much. so still bi still christian still monsters, just (in my mind at least) in a different way with a character who has a different way of seeing the world. and also the narrative doesn't really have a Conspiracy or whatever it's just Her <3
