Fino ad ora, nel 2024, ho fatto incontri letterari con studenti e studentesse intensi, belli, centrati. Sì, ma a quale dei miei impegni rubare quest'ora di lettura quotidiana? Agli amici? Alla tivù? Agli spostamenti? Alle serate in famiglia? Ai compiti?

Dove trovare il tempo per leggere?

Grave problema.

Che non esiste.

Nel momento in cui mi pongo il problema del tempo per leggere, vuol dire che quel che manca è la voglia. Poiché, a ben vedere, nessuno ha mai tempo per leggere. Né i piccoli, né gli adolescenti, né i grandi. La vita è un perenne ostacolo alla lettura.

"Leggere? Vorrei tanto, ma il lavoro, i bambini, la casa, non ho più tempo…"

"Come la invidio, lei, che ha tempo per leggere!"

E perché questa donna, che lavora, fa la spesa, si occupa dei bambini, guida la macchina, , frequenta il dentista, trasloca la settimana prossima, trova tempo per leggere e quel casto scapolo che vive di rendita, no?

Il tempo per leggere è sempre tempo rubato. (Come il tempo per scrivere, d'altronde, o il tempo per amare.)

Rubato a cosa?

Diciamo, al dovere di vivere.

È forse questa la ragione per cui la metropolitana - assennato simbolo del suddetto dovere - finisce per essere la più grande biblioteca del mondo.

Il tempo per leggere, come il tempo per amare, dilata il tempo per vivere.

Se dovessimo considerare l'amore tenendo conto dei nostri impegni, chi ci si arrischierebbe? Chi ha tempo di essere innamorato? Eppure, si è mai visto un innamorato non avere tempo per amare?

Non ho mai avuto tempo di leggere, eppure nulla, mai, ha potuto impedirmi di finire un romanzo che mi piaceva.

La lettura non ha niente a che fare con l'organizzazione del tempo sociale. La lettura è, come l'amore, un modo di essere.

La questione non è di sapere se ho o non ho tempo per leggere (tempo che nessuno, d'altronde, mi darà), ma se mi concedo o no la gioia di essere lettore...

TRE

Era sul comodino da un po' di tempo. Non ero convinta, perché il romanzo precedente "Cambiare l'acqua ai fiori" aveva lasciato un retrogusto amaro che mi impediva di prendere in mano il successivo.

Ma poi è successo, e le 624 pagine sono volate via tutte d'un fiato.

"Tre" di Valérie Perrin è una storia toccante di amicizia, amore e qualche segreto nascosto. Ambientato tra la campagna della Borgogna, Lione e Parigi, con una piccola digressione in Italia, il libro narra la vita di tre adolescenti inseparabili: Etienne Beaulieu, il giovane ricco e carismatico; Adrien Bobin, il timido e talentuoso scrittore; e Nina Beau, dal temperamento artistico e dal passato doloroso. I loro destini sono legati da un'amicizia profonda e indissolubile, che li accompagnerà attraverso le sfide e i drammi della vita.

La prima cosa che mi ha colpito di questo romanzo è l'abilità della Perrin nel creare personaggi autentici e umani, con tutte le loro debolezze e paure, rendendoli facilmente identificabili e vicini al lettore. Le loro storie sono un viaggio emozionante attraverso forme diverse di amore: quello tossico, il puro, quello frivolo e quello famigliare.

E poi, apprezzo moltissimo la capacità dell'autrice di trattare argomenti talvolta spinosi e delicati con grande sensibilità, mantenendo sempre un equilibrio tra leggerezza e profondità.

La narrazione è coinvolgente e lascia il lettore con il desiderio di scoprire cosa sia accaduto, perché i tre amici si sono allontanati per quattordici anni e chi è la misteriosa Virginie con i suoi capelli a caschetto?

In conclusione, se cercate un libro coinvolgente e ben scritto, "Tre" di Perrin è sicuramente da tenere in considerazione. Buona lettura a tutti!

Uscite vampiresche in libreria

Un breve post per segnalarvi alcune uscite recenti in libreria che reputo interessanti se siete amanti dei romanzi con vampiri. Purtroppo sono quasi tutti romanzi YOUNG ADULT (YA) o NEW ADULT (NA), quindi con protagonisti massimo ventenni se non adolescenti. Questo mi riempe un tantino di tristezza, sembra quasi che il genere paranormal o fantasy venga considerato in Italia roba da giovani e non si pubblichino opere del genere per adulti perchè non venderebbero. Idea a mio avviso sbagliatissima.

La mia opinione: la trama è trita e ritrita, esistono innumerevoli romanzi americani dove lei vampiro deve sposare lui licantropo, sul serio (o lui vampiro lei licantropa ma più raramente) e con piglio più d'azione, o più sexy, non dico questa non sia carina come versione, ma è semplicemente per niente rivoluzionaria e molto semplice.

La mia opinione: young adult per lettori molto giovani siete avvertiti e che verte sul lutto.

La mia opinione: gli autori asiatici hanno uno stile tutto loro che può piacere o meno, ma certamente hanno una visione dell'universo paranormal molto diversa da noi occidentali che perciò può risultare molto interessante perciò questo libro è già finito nella mia lista di romanzi da leggere. Nel 2025 uscirà un suo sequel Paris Celestial. Quindi diverrà una serie.

La mia opinione: questa è una trilogia conclusa già dall'autrice nel lontano 2016, ha una sua età il primo libro è del 2011, non so perché arrivi solo ora in Italia. Ma questo non è un male, erano anni buoni per i paranormal e la trama mi sembra interessante, purtroppo è uno young adult siete avvertiti e ad un certo punto tutto si complica con viaggi nel tempo.

La mia opinione: non ho letto questo libro e non intendo leggere questa serie perché non è adulta come piacciono a me, io lo catalogherei al massimo come new adult sinceramente. Inoltre non avendo apprezzato la serie precedente dell'autrice abbandonata da me al primo libro, già so che non mi piace il suo stile. La consiglio solo a chi ha amato le serie di Sarah J. Maas come genere e stile.
