Nadine Hwang and Nelly Mousset-Vos met and fell in love when both women were imprisoned in Ravensbruck concentration camp. Nelly was imprisoned for resistance activity; the reason for Nadine's imprisonment is unknown.

Nadine and Nelly were separated when Nelly was transferred to Mauthausen concentration camp. Nadine wrote this postcard after the war, desperately hoping for their reunion.

The two women were reunited, moved to Venezuela, and spent the rest of their lives together.
