@TheFourthPeriod: The Amazon NHL docuseries, “Faceoff: Inside the NHL”, premieres Oct 4.

Season 1 has six episodes. Some of the featured talent includes Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, William Nylander, Quinn Hughes, Matthew Tkachuk, Jack Eichel, Filip Forsberg, David Pastrnak & Jeremy Swayman (among others).

Paul Martin, Executive Producer of Drive to Survive, is also an EP for Faceoff.

They started to meet & chat with the NHL athletes in Feb in Toronto during All-Star Weekend. They’re going to show a type of authentic access we don’t often get or see.

Leon pulls the hood of his sweater over his head, burying his hands in the front pockets. He gives himself a critical once over in the hotel room mirror. His clothes are clean and unobtrusive, no Oiler logo in sight. The sunglasses are huge and cover half his face, the other half is covered by his bushy playoff beard. He’s pretty sure no one will recognize him once he steps out of the hotel.
