Adam - Adam is the #1 babysitter of all time. he loves spending his free days with his nieces and nephews, and loves his siblings too so is more than willing. he's also SUPER protective of the kids. he was always protective of his parents/siblings, so that more than doubles with the kids. he's a staple around Chase and Kaz's home specifically, both to take care of the kids when they can't and because he just likes hanging out there lols. he also brings Otis III to play with the kids. when Chase or Kaz comes home during the afternoon, there's a good chance they'll find him sprawled on the living room floor playing with the babies without Adam telling them he was coming over. when Amelie was a kid, she'd always come excitedly screaming toward the door if the bell rang because she thought it was him (traumatizing several mailmen). he's a great uncle in summary

Bree - Bree isn't inherently good with kids, but she adores her nieces and nephews and spoils them completely rotten. she's the definition of the rich wine auntie who's super cool in their eyes and gives them whatever they want. even though Kaz and Chase were trying to teach Amelie to be gentle with her when she was pregnant, she shooed them off to cuddle her lmao - in essence, she's the cool wine aunt

Leo - Leo lives a little further away than Adam (who's like 30 minutes away) and Bree (who lives in the manor when she's pregnant and not far after) so he doesn't get to hang out with the kids as much, but when he does he brings out the chaos (that often leaves all of them being lectured by Chase lol) when he isn't encouraging their chaotic impulses, he (along with Logan) takes them to comic shops, swimming pools, anywhere he loved when he was a kid. despite costing Chase several gray hairs, he too is a great uncle

Skylar - the kids absolutely love her. she's great with them. and the one Chase specifically trusts the most to not wreak havoc with while he's not supervising, pretty high compliment. Skylar is a natural with kids, and gives Bree hope back when she's pregnant that they can actually be parents (whole thing there) Skylar is absolutely the one the kids would call to drive them home if they're drunk at a party too

Oliver - even though he isn't related to the Davenports at all, he's not only family with Kaz and Skylar by the end, but also Chase and Bree, so they absolutely consider him an uncle and invite him to be in their kids' lives. Oliver has adamantly stated that he doesn't like kids, but that rule doesn't apply to theirs (even though he acts like it does to the parents to save his dignity) they often catch him cuddling with the kids on "Uncle Oli's couch". he spends a lot of time at the mansion as well, and allows the kids to play around the new Philidelphia Mighty Med lobby, which they love bc they get to see heroes flying around and doing wacky stuff

Kaz/Chase - when Bree is pregnant Chase heavily "suggests" that she stay with them because Skylar was gone on missions and her bionics automatically made it high risk. he wanted his sister to be in a place where there was an ex-doctor and sometimes a current doctor at all times, even when Skylar took a leave from hero work to stay with Bree. they converted one spare room for the two of them on the bottom floor and a nursery right next to it for the baby. when he was born both of them took off work to take care of him with Skylar so Skylar didn't get overwhelmed (it was a very hard birth) and Bree could heal. they took care of the baby for a month until Bree was back to full strength, then offered them to stay longer. they moved out a little later anyway, but bring their son by to play with specifically Anisa all the time. now that they've gotten older, the nursery was made into a kid's room for sleepovers, which are common

extra - Oliver, Adam, and Leo have all argued to no end about who's the favorite uncle (Logan abstained out of fear), as well as have blubbered and sobbed meeting every single kid (7 total lol) they love those kids and would die or kill for them

also yes Grandma Tasha would absolutely spoil the hell out of them with her divorce money lmao

Leo rebellion arc/J ( honestly maybe)

I had an idea /fic idea where Leo sneaked out of the bionic island after having a bit of a argument .decided to take Logan and Taylor along (because um they’re a team Hshshs) with a bit of convincing which I don’t think Leo would have any trouble with it >:3.(I would like to think that this would be during when Leo created the team and before Taylor became blind). Just imagine them arriving at the mainland and having fun? Maybe going to a park or getting late night ice cream? Or doing anything dangerous >:]( i would like to think they would bring Marcus along as well ) ( he’s been rebuilt and reprogrammed because yes) the only problem would be chase waking up due to his senses/bionic hearing .I absolutely love those fics where the bionic siblings are protective of Leo ( I know they’re protective of each other and I know Leo can protect themselves) (he/they pronouns for Leo because yes) ANYWAYS i just find it very interesting when reading things like that . Very wholesome. I would like to think that Douglas would be the first one to catch Leo trying to sneak out ( probably due to staying up late to work on a project)but doesn’t say anything instead he would try to cover for leo ( he understands the kid )So obviously when chase notice that Leo is gone , Douglas immediately would come up with something to cover leo absence.( oouh Leo gonna be in trouble/J)

I plan to have Logan in The L in LREF Stands for Leo, but... lowkey, Leo be having chemistry with Skylar. I'm here for it. And Leo's definitely going to play a role in getting her powers back, 100%. Chase is gonna be like "Heyyy... Leoooo.... I need help researching Skylar so we can try to get her powers back." And Leo's gonna be the one who comes up with the idea, Chase is just gonna do the sciences.

Basically Oliver has no role in it whatsoever. Because LREF Oliver needs humbling.

Furthermore, archaeological research in Haiti has been less rich than other parts of the Greater Antilles, so who knows what may be buried under Leogane and Port-au-Prince that could shed light on the indigenous past of the region? NPC’S: Iosef

The first nonhostile npc we encounter in Bloodborne 2 comes only shortly after we first arrive in Elpium and encounter Nicehis the Flenser. Whether she slays your character or you manage to defeat her and later get pushed into the Flooded Chapel by Leogan, you are immediately brought to a dark screen as your character loses their life, and you are faced with the fist of many “YOU HAVE DIED”’s.

As the black screen slowly fades into a cutscene, the sound of dripping water can be heard, and a distinctly masculine voice greets you in apathy.

> “Ah. Good Nicehis sends her regards once again. Come then, and partake. Let your newfound hunger guide you.”

The scene gradually comes into focus, revealing your character in what seems to be a flooded cistern, on their hands and knees in the water. Though the water is dark, the area around them it is tinged with a vivid, bloody red. The camera follows the red up the side of an altar, where blood spills down and into the flooded chamber below.

On that altar lies Iosef. A dark haired man decked in near pristine holy robes, laying flat on his back atop the stone altar in an area that the game will helpfully inform you post cutscene is called the Flooded Chapel. Iosef has no limbs to speak of, though his clothing, with its empty sleeves folded carefully over his chest and the trousers tied off at the legs, suggests that he once did. Pure white in color and adorned with gold thread and lavish gems of a deep amethyst hue, his garb suggests that he is a clergyman with a high position. Yet here he lies in a crumbling chapel, seemingly abandoned.

The only blemish to break the illusion of his pristine status is the wound in his side, which appears in game to be a large gash from which blood seems to flow in an endless, free stream down into the waters below the altar upon which he lies. As your character stands, the cutscene pans back to show the rest of the Flooded Chapel. Above Iosef’s altar is a headless statue of what seems to be a large, six armed creature draped in coarse fabric. Two of the arms grasp at either side of the altar, whilst the other four are raised to the heavens above and the hole you previously fell into the Flooded Chapel through.

Behind the statue, piles of corpses prove that you are but one of many who have been flung down below.

Here, the cutscene ends, and if the player lingers long enough, or interacts with Iosef, he has the following to say.

> “Hm? What’s this? You’ve your wits about you still? Ha.. [laughter that begins slow and builds up heartily, almost to the point of hysteria] hahaha…I see. You’re an unlucky one then. Not from around here, either. The name’s Iosef.

> “Well. I’ve no idea what nightmares have called you to Elpium, but you won’t survive here long as you are. Not to worry, I still have my uses. Venture forth, and bring me the echoes that linger in the blood of those above. I shall make them into a fine feast for you. A proper Hunter needs be fed, after all.”

If the character interacts with him again, the following dialogue triggers.

> “Oh? Yes, worried about going to face the night unarmed? Worry not. Surely you see the other gifts Nicehis has brought me. A great deal of them were better prepared than you, for all the good that it did them. See if you can’t find something you like.”

Iosef serves the same function as the Doll in Bloodborne, turning blood echoes into power to fuel your characters level ups. The animation for this action is your character dipping their hand into the floe of blood that spills off Iosef’s altar and bringing it to their mouth, presumably in order to drink it. By feeding Iosef Blood Echoes, you therefore empower his own blood, which you can then consume to empower yourself. This suggests that in some way, Iosef is a catalyst for the power of blood.

Upon leveling up with Iosef for the first time, he says the following.

> “No need to be squeamish, come now and sup your fill. There is power in transfusions like this, don’t let anyone fool you.”

Further level ups with Iosef prompt one of two dialogues.

> “Very well, you may Partake.”

> ”Partake in thy sacrament, for your own well-being.”

For now, Iosef’s origin, his relationship to Nicehis, and a large amount of his lore remains a mystery, but this first string of early interactions proves promising.

Do female Legbas exist? Likewise, would St. Benoît Joseph Labre be a Legba-like figure in your opinion? What of St. Drogo (a Legba, Kouzen, or Gede figure)? On a different note, does St. Francis of Assisi have a corresponding lwa? What about the different baby Jesus images like the Divine Child Jesus, the Holy Infant of Atocha, Prague, etc.? And considering how rare St. Ulrich images are, is St. Brendan the Navigator or St. Nicholas of the Sea used for Agwé by many in the American diaspora?

No, female Legbas are not present. Legba comes with his wife, who is by the gate with him. Labre and Drogo are not saints found within Haiti, really. Haitian Catholicism and Ginen are very specific for a variety of reasons.

St Francis is usually venerated only in church, but specific lakou may have different relationships. I know of one lakou near Leogane who have a unique relationship with St Francis.

Images of the child Jesus are not used super often. The infant of Atocha walks with Jean Petwo in the lineage I am initiated in.

No, those saints are not given to Agwe as they have no real presence in Haiti. If people want an image of a saint and can't find a paper one easily, they'll paint them or commission them.

A Florida couple visiting Haiti was kidnapped nearly an hour after landing as their captors demand $200,000 for their safe return.
