The fact that Logan is called a newbie is extremely fascinating to me. I'm sure he means new to missions, but I chose to believe that's not the case.

Instead, I like to think that Logan joined the academy in a similar way and reason that Taylor did.

He wasn't part of the bionic soldiers little group, he was taken in by a family, and when the virus thing happened and he died for a minute, his family was like "yeah... maybe we should talk to someone about this."

His family kind of accepted the things he could do, especially since he already had a pretty good handle on them. Hence why he had a name, even when Taylor was just getting hers figured out. (side note, isn't it weird that she lived with her host family for like at least a month, and didn't get a name?)

I like to think he keeps in touch.

one quirk of adapting logan's run from a movie to a tv series is that they were clearly trying to emulate the look of the movie, and that included logan's iconic sandman uniform. in a movie it makes sense that he wouldn't have time to change, but in the show we can see that they have down time between adventures, and they interact with people who could certainly provide them with new clothes, but despite the problems his being dressed as a sandman continually causes for them, at no point does anyone even suggest that logan maybe put on a different shirt

1. Won’t Roux Be My Neighbor | louigan | rated T

If you want a classic romcom, then the Neighbors AU is for you. Louise and Logan are neighbors in a rundown apartment complex full of characters who don’t make their lives any easier. It’s not told in chronological order, and each piece can be read on its own. My favorites are Turn Down Corn-Nut and but it’s (yukon) golden ……. because there’s kissing.

2. Logan’s Run (-ning away) | louigan | rated T

Is accidental road trip a trope? That’s what LR is. An accidental road trip where the road’s not so straight and narrow. This romantic dramedy follows Louise as she hitches a ride to New York with her old arch nemesis. Or so she thinks.

3. Old Cape Bob | boblin | rated G

This fic celebrates a decades-old love and all the quirks that come along with that during a simple walk to the beach. I’m kind of in love with the descriptions in this one. It’s everything I want for Bob and Linda—relaxing on a beach and enjoying each other’s company with a bit of heavy-handed nostalgia.

4. Honey Pie Sugar Pumpkin | boblin | rated G

Pre-canon boblin fluff where first-time parents fuss over baby Tina and her new word. This one is short, sweet, and supposed to make you go awwww. It was written in a trance before Caroline could write it, so I can’t tell you a thing about the fic besides I blinked and it was there all of a sudden.

5. It’s My Party (and I’ll fry if I want to) | louigan | rated E

This one’s the angst fic. The “yes I would like to feel something but not in a good way” fic. It looks at the subject of infidelity and asks what brings someone to that point, what’s deserved, what’s right and wrong. And then there’s smut.

so making that post about meif'wa in headscarves and such made me think about religion in my rewrite and i remembered that i haven't spoken about religious headwear at all, so here is some stuff for Avra. I might post about other religion stuff for LR at some point too.

These are mostly aph-specific since no one religions the way she does lmao. Except for the coin-chain, that's a little something she starts doing that ends up being a cultural thing for Phoenix Drop because surprisingly the way rulers dress does persuade their people to dress similarly.

Coin Scarves are a Scaleswind thing, and quite an old-fashioned one. You're more likely to see a little old lady (or man, it isn't gender specific) in church wearing one than your average individual. Only hair that is longer than shoulder length is typically put beneath them (hence Avra's little microbangs being out) however in some parts of Scaleswind it is seen as more proper to cover the entire top of your hair regardless of length.

Different colour + metal combos refer to different divine, and multiple can apply to a singular Divine. People often wear them based off of the divine they follow most of all (Irene, for most), however those who only wear them for prayer will wear them according to the divine they're praying too. Pre-O'Khasis/Scaleswind war, royal-blue and gold was the most common combination as those were the colours most associated with Irene, however they're also associated with O'Khasis, so it changed to white and gold when the war began.

Avra gets hers during her little excursion to Scaleswind. Those who worship the Destroyer often thought of her quite highly for reasons, and she is quite recogniseable, so when she was just walking around a little old woman pressed a red and cold coinscarf into her hand and walked away. Red and Gold are colours associated with Shad only by his worshippers, however black and silver is more often used by the gaggle of elderly folk in Scaleswind that dare to worship him as they aren't ashamed of their religion. It is however seen as heresy, so any youth that continue the practice + worship Shad will often wear the red variant.

Avra honestly just thinks its cute (she is wearing it in my recent Shadmau/Shavra drawing :})

This is a coin veil, inspired by catholic veils because they're so goshdarn pretty. They're the predecessor of coin scarves and while coinscarves are made with opaque, typically thicker material, coin veils are made with lace or sheer fabric.

It is not practiced anymore, it kind of went out of fashion when the elaborate worship of the gods was replaced with the more humble and accessible worship of the divine. Coin scarves were kind of made so the church could try and make those that were fond of veils convert away from the gods, under the idea that 'they're basically the same thing anyway!!'.

Avra gets hers because it was a practice she partook in during her life as Irene, so she kind of was drawn to it. For Donna and Logan's wedding, she had an excuse to wear fancy stuff, so she asked Cadenza to help her make a coin veil. She doesn't remember what it's meant to actually represent, she just thinks they're pretty and comforting. Cadenza makes her a red one, using a bunch of lace she had already made, and it is very long. Avra only typically wears it for events or whenever she's stressed and needs to chill out.

Similarly to coinscarves, colour and metal indicate certain gods, but so does lace pattern and veil length. Worship of Judgement/Death (The destroyer/shad) was often indicated with long black veils with golden coins and the lace covering the face as well as the hair, with the lace usually having patterns of wilted flowers and animal skulls to represent the very decay they worshipped. Of course, this could only be afforded by the very rich, however the rich were often patrons of his temples in larger communities and would supply them with veils for the worshippers to wear. The addition of coins to veils was thought to have started with Judgement/Death worship, as it was believed that if someone was buried in their veil and brought back, you would be able to hear them by the chiming of the coins. Which was good because you didn't want an SK sneaking up on your ass, even back when Shad was thought of highly.

Worship of The Mother (Irene) was done through medium-length white-lace veils which were usually not adorned with coins (though were still called coinveils) but had beads instead, and were typically tied or pinned closed around the chest. The lace usually had floral patterns on it, though not always. Irene herself wore one, however due to lace being very hard to carve, most of her statues depict her wearing a hood instead.

I could get into the impacts of Avra wearing her red little coin veil but naaahhhh.

Hey! Ty for the ask!!

I've talked a little about it before, but the gist is I got back into the LR fandom after a decade and immediately started stanning an unpopular character and shipping a rare ship. So I decided to rewrite S4 to suit my own whims.

The plot--Everything up until Bionic Rebellion happens as usual. I'm counting Sebchase relationship as usual because we all know it was happening. The Hydroloop tunnel still blows up but Chase swoops in and manages to explain what Krane really was before the other students start rebelling. This is the start of the Sebastian redemption arc.

So it's technically a "Bionic Island but ft. happy Chase" AU, but I didn't stop the rebellion completely because I love drama. I'm also using it as an excuse to really dive into the students trauma, like the little snippet I wrote about how Chase's override app in that one episode probably triggered them.

In addition to the Sebchase goodness, the AU also features

--Seb and Adam sharing custody of Bob while hating each other

--The Mighty Med universe gets tied in when the League of Heroes comes looking for Douglas. He's done some things.

--Skylar comes to hang out at the academy to see about getting her powers back. Brylar ensues.

--Sebastian, Taylor, and Logan being the next generation of bionic siblings

--My personal crackship: Adam x Experion. It started as a joke now I can't get out

--Tasha being the best mom ever

--Marcus redemption at some point probably

Logan's Run and Mad Max

It's crazy that it took America 250 years to build the greatest most modern nation that's ever existed, but this generation is proving how quickly the entire social cohesiveness of society can be destroyed. The careless disrespect of others is like nothing ever seen before in history. It's clearly contagious, and spreading like wildfire. It's very ugly to watch. It's the saddest time in modern American history. Get your popcorn ready because this is just the beginning. The next 27 years will be total insanity, Mad Max and Logan's Run are coming...I just don't know which one comes first. It might be LR on the Inside and Mad Max on the Outside

Need to see a fic where Leo learns Logan has a good relationship with Spin (like a closer sibling relationship) and kinda has to cope with that.

Like, Logan is a bit protective of Spin, but more realistically than how Janelle was since Logan knows his skill level, and so Leo doesn't know how to behave around Spin since he doesn't want Logan to dislike him (not that that's possible)

alright so i may add onto this but here are some of my possibly controversial disney opinions

• i don’t ship anyone in girl meets world. not one ship besides katie x shawn and cory x topanga i like, but those are adults and married couples

• kc cooper is lowkey selfish and her perfectionist self makes her toxic. i know she doesn’t try to be but she feels like she needs to have control of everything and always thinks she knows best. i get that she’s smart and knows how to complete missions but she like never gives someone else a chance

• elite force ruined everyone’s character development like?? oliver became super creepy towards skylar, bree is like more of a brat, chase becomes extra annoying in a way? like i don’t hate any of the characters and i still love LR: EF but they ruined everyone’s development through lab rats and mighty med

• liv and holden should have been endgame and i blame maddie for their breakup. i mean liv wanted to make things right with holden but maddie stopped her just because she didn’t want diggie to know that she had moved on?? i feel so bad for liv and holden. they were right person, wrong time, but maddie shouldn’t have done that to liv

• why did they all of a sudden add this random ship to i didn’t do it with logan and jasmine? it came out of nowhere and it just went way too fast. disney has a way of pushing ships like that

• i’ve said this before and i’ll say it again. out of all the lab rats and mighty med characters, chase is the least fruity. i don’t understand why people make him trans or gay. just because he gets along well with kaz doesn’t mean he has a crush on him. to be honest, chase would have started out the show being homophobic but end up being an ally in the end, but i don’t see an ounce of gay in him

• i actually really like artie from liv and maddie. he adds a dynamic to the show that just makes you laugh and it’s hard to hate him even though that’s the point of his character. you can tell he and joey love each other deep down but they compete a lot and claim they hate each other. andy, artie, josh, holden and willow are some awesome characters and were such great friends to the rooneys

• not an opinion but i have never hated a character more than bree from zombies. like she just annoys me SO much
