When I was in the 3rd grade the teacher asked each of us for a family recipe in order to make a class cookbook. My mother donated her lemon meringue pie recipe. It was one of her best recipes. Still is! The one I have been making all my life. The recipe for this mom treasure is in the profile and on my website. Once again, I found myself diving into the magical world of digital art, and this time, I took a whimsical trip down memory lane with a fan art project. As I gazed at my completed work, a warm nostalgia swept over me—it was Lemon Meringue, the bubbly and charming character from the beloved 2009 series Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bitty Adventures. It had been years since I last watched that cheerful, pastel-coloured show, but the characters had always held a special place in my heart. Bringing Lemon to life through art felt like rekindling an old friendship.

This rendition of Lemon Meringue wasn’t just any random depiction; it was based on her iconic design from the 2009 series, one that had charmed a generation of viewers. She stood there, radiant as ever, with her fair skin glowing like morning sunlight and her bright blue eyes sparkling with curiosity and cheer. Her blonde hair, flowing down to her waist, framed her face perfectly, with her signature bubble braids tied neatly on either side. Each braid was held in place by two vibrant green ribbons, their cheerful colour complementing her lemon-themed outfit. Tucked just above her left braid was her trademark lemon-slice hairclip, adding that playful, citrusy touch.

Her outfit was a delightful burst of colour, a testament to her sunny personality. The yellow sweater she wore hugged her figure comfortably, its elbow-length sleeves adorned with soft, white ruffled cuffs that added a touch of elegance. Yet, beneath the layers of bubbly charm and relentless positivity, Lemon Meringue harboured insecurities that made her deeply relatable. She often worried about her place in Berry Bitty City, her mind swirling with questions about her worth and her contributions. What if her friends didn’t appreciate her efforts? As I prepared to share the artwork with the world, I knew that somewhere, in the heart of Berry Bitty City, Lemon was smiling, her bright blue eyes twinkling with delight, her bubble braids bouncing as she exclaimed, “I knew that!”

The Amazing Digital Eclipse Festival Lol

Alllrighty, sorry if this is a bit late, I had things to do. So here’s the deal:

Every once in a while, an eclipse happens. In the digital realm, they’re decently more common than in real life, and EVERYWHERE is in the path of totality. They can last for a few weeks, and the day-night cycle is heavily messed with.

I love giving characters unconventional weapons or weapons that make sense in context but don’t on the surface

short ramble about lemn and scythes

Lemon uses a scythe because he’s, at the end of the day, a gardener and something of a farmer. That thing is a tool of his station, especially because he represents spring, and Antiquity is stuck in eternal “harvest season” because of him.

On a slightly more symbolic level, the scythe is associated with death and reaping what you sow. He’s surrounded by the dead and (for reasons you’ll see very soon) is definitely in a “reap what you sow” situation in some regards. He pushed people away, and now he’s alone.

anyways most of my other characters have reasons for why they have their weapons so I’d love to ramble more heh qvq
