Lanterns light up Mount St Christmas tree

The Mount Street Christmas tree lights switch-on in Mayfair 🎄

Hotel The Connaught were handing out sweet treats and pastries, as well as mulled wine and hot chocolate. 

Dr Barbara Sturm had anti-inflammatory hot chocolate which was also delicious thanks to Drink Tease ☕️

This year’s Nordmann Fir tree is designed by British artist Conrad Shawcross, which hosts 90 hand-painted silver lanterns ✨

September 2018 - High tea @ The Connaught

Samantha was visiting London to see her brother. She and I caught up for high tea at The Connaught. 

I really enjoyed the afternoon tea. It was unlimited cakes and sandwiches. I’ve been to a few high teas and the sandwiches here are pretty average but the cakes are outstanding. I don’t really like very sweet cakes and I think the cakes are just right in sweetness. 

I was so busy munching my food I didn’t realise I had a celebrity sitting behind me. The celebrity was Kate Moss. I only noticed her when she photo bombed my photo. At a first glance she just looked like a regular women. She was casually dressed and her friend was even more casual than her. I didn’t really think much about them. But after some thought the high tea was at a 5 star well known hotel in Mayfair. She was there having lunch. It would be considered quite posh place. I wanted to confirm if it was really her so I call the waitress over and asked. Yes, she confirmed it was Kate Moss. My first celebrity spotting. Samantha and I could not stop giggling every time we looked at the photo. 

After our high tea we do our usual high end window shopping at Chanel, LV, Dior and Gucci. 

I miss you Samantha!
