heyyy tumblr,
class of 2024 law student here. no offense but you know things are bad when i take it to tumblr. law school really does something to your psyche and i hate to say it but despite this whole movement on social media to be more transparent, i don't believe anyone will be completely honest about their experience when their words can be traced back to them. being believable as 100% genuine & honest while being anything less than to followers that cling to every syllable of yours does more damage than good imo.
ill start this page with some honesty that i would label as a 6/10 on the "how embarrassed would i be if someone from my post-grad job were to see this" scale i just made up.
my first semester i felt like the smartest version of myself i had ever been because i got 1 online award from a fake company (seriously what business does this "computer-assisted legal education" company have hosting awards for schools around the country & why are they receiving our grades to begin with) for having the highest grade in my class. mind you, this company/award is not at ALL affiliated with my school, its literally made up. but its something that is made PUBLIC (as in if you knew my name you could google me and this stupid award shows up), and so many schools still acknowledge it to, idk, create further divisions between students that i guess the whole system of making everyones grades 100% based on their finals and curved (not in a good way) doesn't do enough for?
now here i am, having finished my 6th semester & walked the commencement stage a few days ago ugly crying over a grade because i might have just lost my honors status. when in actuality .... ~ kim, there are people that are dying ~ why does any of this matter?? this is what 6 semesters of slowly having your confidence in your own intelligence chipped away at does to a person.
its not over yet though - bar prep starts last week :). actually it starts on may 20th officially, but no ones being honest about the fact that they really started studying the day after their finals ended, if not earlier.
so i've decided to document my experience for you all here. with bar prep & my foray into big law (you know this field was meant for babies because that's what we unsarcastically call a career at a top law firm) on the horizon, & 6 semesters of pure chaos behind me, i have a lot to say!
im not sure who this is going to reach because, again no offense tumblr, but i doubt this site has the reach it once did. maybe this will just end up being a time capsule for myself, which i would love. or maybe this will help 1 person cope, which i would love even more.
regardless, if you read this far, thank you & tttys. going to throw some random hashtags in now don't mind me.

ik that its exam season and a lot of us girlies have exams coming up (me included) so i made a plan for how to prepare so that u all can SLAY your exams, so lets lock in 🎀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
WORK WITH THE SCHEDULE ;
look at ur exam schedule and the exam that u have to take the soonest is the exam that u should be studying for the most. when ur doing exam day study sessions, study for all ur exams but give urself extra time to study for the ones that u have the soonest.
EXAM STUDY SESSIONS ;
put ur phone on do not disturb and lock IN. try and find a different place to sit and study because a change of scenery helps so much, plus ur like a billion times more productive when ur not studying in ur bed yk? find a place like a coffee shop to have a study session.
use bright colors to distinguish between topics and the main thing to remember when studying is what do i know already? what do i still not know?
study in specific time intervals (30 minutes of studying -> 20 minutes of downtime) that way ur not burning urself out too much. i have countless resources and posts about how to study, study methods etc on my blog so check those out if u dont know where to start.
FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO STAY FOCUSED? ;
when i find myself getting side-tracked and not being able to focus on my studying i make one of those sped-up study videos because i love to watch them. whenever i watch them i feel so motivated to study so to make my own forces me to lock in.
studying does not have to be boring! sometimes when im forcing myself to study i'll imagine that studying is a job and im working agreed hours. that gives me something to occupy myself with while i study.
lastly, if ur stressed about exams coming up just remind urself that you've GOT this and you're going to do amazing because you are smart and talented and absolutely glamorous! ✨🎀

Marikata power couple ending where Catarina inherits the duchy. She's married to Maria (they legalized gay marriage in Sorcier because too many nobles wanted to make Catarina happy). Catarina isn't good at doing paperwork and logistics but Maria is so she takes care of that while Catarina helps her manage the duchy as she can. Catarina takes care of anything that requires interacting with (charming) people. Which is a lot.
Since old man Luigi isn't planning to retire (or die) soon, they have plenty of time to prepare.
"Where's keith in this scenario?" You might ask. Well, he married Geordo and now he resides in the palace as prince consort...

do you ever wonder whether Ichigo had dreams as a kid? did he ever lay in bed, after being tucked in by his loving mother, and imagine his future? and do you ever think about Ichigo, right after his youth, spent being a weapon of war, has ended? about him coming home after a tiring day, filled with what is, in comparison, trivial human matters, and just sitting there for a moment? and then coming to bed and trying very hard to not imagine anything at all? do you? because I don’t!

So going back on my "What if Robin and the Riddler had to team up because Batman was incapacitated?" bullshit again. But since the original image that inspired it was the one of Riddler and Molly (in disguise as Robin) wearing helmets in the car, I am now envisioning this:
Riddler: *Giddily climbing into the driver's side of the vehicle*
Robin: "...Are you sure you should be the one driving?"
Riddler: "Of course. You don't have a license, do you, Boy Wonder?"
Robin: "I have a learner's permit."
Riddler: *triumphantly raising a finger.*
Riddler: "Ah, but you do not have a licensed driver in the car, and unlike you, I have no qualms about breaking the law!"
Robin: *snaps fingers in annoyance*
Robin: "Holy misdemeanor!"

maths study tip:
do a past paper worksheet for each individual maths topic in your course, if you get a question wrong screenshot it and then insert it onto a word document under the maths topic heading. after you have covered the course create a priority list of topics, the first topic should be the one with the most screenshotted questions. once you have corrected all areas you can move on to memorising necessary formulas and formal past paper practice.
