LINKTOBER Day 16: Lanayru Wetlands

Rumors have it Zora’s Domain is besieged by caustic rains. As travelers leave Lanayru’s capital in troves, two plucky (or foolish) adventurers swim against the muddy tide in hopes to learn more about the unnatural phenomenon.

Loosely inspired by the lawlu/lulaw fic “Broken Heart Syndrome” by Callunar on ao3! Law knee deep in denial about being friends with Luffy and the others, opposed by Luffy’s clear interest in him, is one of the funniest depictions of them tbh. Bonus points bc Zoro is a menace in this one for the good, good cause of teasing his friends. 😂😂😂

i take great interest in geography-related games and sometimes i open google maps and zoom into locations to help better my knowledge. while looking around the middle east, i found the top photos. afterwards, i looked the location up only to find out it had been destroyed. i've stated that i do not like, nor do i plan to go into politics, (i am quite young and feel that im not mature enough to fully understand them) but i really felt that i had to share this

An old observation from a japanese youtuber that I've been withholding for this episode's release,

The difference between Law getting bloodied up until now and his loss against Teach is that this time, Law is completely silenced.

Law's cheeky pride is usually full on display when he's down and on the brink of death. Because everything would still be under his control - his plans in motion and his important people away and safe. But this time, Law had no comeback to Teach's taunts. His comfort place and comfort people were taken out in his presence.

It's his first physical and psychological defeat.

I've been considering this feeling lately...

Ever since I was a kid, I've been drawn to whump and angst/comfort, especially with found family. I mostly chase it when I'm feeling ill or scared or down in some way. Maybe I like to see people hurt in the eays I feel hurt. Maybe I crave the comfort afterward. Maybe being hurt on the outside as much as I hurt inside would result in being hugged, reassured, cradled, etc.

I always thought the craving might go away with age, but I'm 30 now, and it's still here. Is it something to be ashamed of? I don't know. I don't judge others for it, so why judge myself?

tl;dr: I draw angst when I feel bad, and it makes me feel better for some reason.

ANYWAY! Context: This is for the @hotgirlsunny Server!!! The weekly challenge was time travel, and I basically created a love letter to Ikkaku :P

She's traveled back into the past with some magic rings and joins up with the Heart Pirates. (Nami x Ikkaku towards the end of it lol)

Parts of this are definitely left up to interpretation/not super concrete. I might write a fic later and didn't want to flesh out finer details I would inevitably forget...
