Hello!

I've never posted on Tumblr, but I think right now might be the right time to.

First of all, I will very briefly introduce myself:

I'm Kei, I'm 21 years old. English isn't my first language.

I'm an ex-writer, and I have 7-years of roleplaying experience under my belt.

With that being said, here's why I'm posting this:

I've been looking for a roleplay partner (no minors) , who can play the role of Lan WangJi.

Info:

I'm literate, and I can roleplay on any platform, even if Discord or Instagram are preferred.

My response time is usually very fast, because I'm usually absolutely free and bored to death, however there might be times I can take longer to reply, due to mental health and personal reasons.

My response length can vary: it depends on how much I can work with, my partner's responses, if I can go on for a while without needing your character to step in...

I would play the character of Wei Wuxian, and my portrayal of the character is quite canon. In facts, I lean to roleplay along the novel storyline, but I'm not completely against different AUs. I can be convinced with a good ted talk.

I do write NSFW content, so, again, minors do not interact. In case I find out you're a minor, you will be immediately blocked. Please respect this warning and don't play with me.

I absolutely despise having my partner roleplay as my character in their replies unless it's strictly needed to make your actions make sense or to carry the roleplay. Before you include my character's actions or quotes in your reply, ask me if it's ok. I might not like how you portray my own character.

Disclaimer:

Even if I'm free and willing to roleplay, and even if Wangxian is canonically a ship, it doesn't necessarily mean my Wei Wuxian will jump onto any Lan WangJi out there. It depends if your portrayal of the character is loyal to the canon characterization, and if your writing style is engaging.

one of the things that makes mdzs SUCH a great story is the fact that it's a tragedy with queer protagonists, but their queerness isn't the cause or the center of the tragedy. it's not even related, really. it's a story about love and loss and wrong and right, about what we owe each other and what we owe ourselves, about how you can find joy even amidst chaos and grief; its complexity and tragedy is what makes it so profound and touching. sure, there's 'casual' queerphobia in the story, but with everything else going on, it's not really relevant- wwx's mostly like, 'oh, i like guys? i like lwj? i love lwj? fuck, what if he doesn't love me back? am i being presumptuous to think he returns my feelings? what do I do now?' followed by 'wait, he loves me back??? we're getting married IMMEDIATELY', and that whole attitude is very refreshing because sometimes you just want to read a queer story that isn't about queer suffering but that's still incredibly miserable, and i think we as a queer community deserve it

I want to do more Wangxian or other MDZS roleplay where I can play Wei Ying/ Wei Wuxian. Would anyone be interested in doing a discord RP? You can play Lan Zhan/ Lan Wangjii if you want a shipping RP. Or you can play another character for non-shipping. I’m 18+ so I’m fine with adult content but it’s not mandatory.

Here is a sample of my roleplay style:

Wei Wuxian pouted. “So harsh, Lan er-gege! You’ll hurt my feelings.” He flopped onto the grass beside him, lying on his stomach. “I can wait for you to be done meditating! I don’t mind! Or how about archery? We can compete for shots!” He swished his tail back and forth at the thought. “Or, how about this, you can show me the best books in the library! There must be thousands! I’m sure you don’t want me rummaging through all of them. A guide would be indispensable, Lan er-gege!”

Wei Wuxian continued to suggest ideas. Like going exploring together or Lan Wangji showing him the prettiest spots in the Cloud Recesses or going into town with him and showing him around. Every time he finished one idea he had already come up with another.

��Come on, Lan er-gege! I’ll repay the favor. You can come to Yunmeng and I’ll show you all round. You can have my undivided attention for your whole visit! I know all the best places and foods in town. I can show you the warmest waters when swimming in the lakes and where the best tasting lotus pods grow. We would have so much fun together, Lan er-gege, but we should start hanging out now if we’re going to be close friends. Everything is more fun with good friends around, and I’ll only be here for so long. We should really make the most of it!”

Wei Wuxian talked like his mouth didn’t know what else to do. The concept of silence seemed to distress him too much to even risk finding out what it sounded like.

However, talking didn’t seem to keep his wild brain completely busy. Because he also picked up a stick and started drawing talisman designs in the dirt.

The designs were not ones that already existed, but instead trial-and-error concepts for new talismans he was coming up with on the spot. The one he was toying with at the moment had something to do with making things waterproof— more specifically, quankhun pouches. It was an idea that occurred to him the hard way the last time he’d gone swimming.
