Lambchops - Leonard Cohen, The Flame
text under cut
thinking of those lambchops
at Moishe's the other night
we all taste good to one another
most bodies are good to eat
even reptiles and insects
even the poisonous lutefisk of Norway
buried in the dirt a million years before serving
and the poisonous blowfish of Japan
can be prepared
to insure reasonable risks
at the table
if the crazy god did not want us to eat one another
why make our flesh so sweet
I heard it on the radio
a happy rabbit at the rabbit farm
saying to the animal psychic
don't be sad
it's lovely here
they're so good to us
we're not the only ones
said the rabbit
comforting her
everyone gets eaten
as the rabbit said
to the animal psychic

Look at these #lambchops ! Tried the Lavender seasoning salt from @aklmaui Lavender farm since Keith's mum sent me some and its a really lovely counterpoint to the lamb! Paired it with some balsamic roasted asparagus and tomatoes. (at Banning, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoOxfYCuegd/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

If they were to still be around, what would Lambert's family think of their relationship with Narinder?
SEEING THIS ASK MADE ME THINK OF A COMIc that is in the works atm BUT since that is gonna take a while heres what each of them would think!
When meeting Narinder for the first time, considering their narrative, the entire fam would most likely be wary and not even let Nari into their village or house before being completely sure they can trust him But if good impressions are done...:
Rambert would likely be chill with Nari if Lambert is; he trusts his child's judgment given that they are the most skilled one amongst the others in survival and just knowing people in general If Lamby sees no reason to be wary of Nari, then so doesnt Rammy uwu
Betty is quite the protective mom so I can only assume she would be- nosy AUHUIAJSDMK Just wanting to know how this started, why they like each other, making questions like "what did you see in them" out of the blue to both, she would want to make sure her kid is with someone good to them Should there be any episodes that'd prove otherwise, Betty would be the first to beat the shit out of Narinder-
Cotton follows the personality of his mother and is quite protective as well, but is not as invasive as her. He would instead figure things out with Lambert, asking how they feel around Narinder, making sure that everything is okay and just observing them both from afar most of the time Depending on how well things go, he would be pretty chill too and even be the one calming down their mom about her worries for their relationship xD
Shaun doesnt care as long as Narinder doesnt hurt his sibling He would def be the one to tease Lamby tho, being like "gayass" from time to time or "Lamb and Nari under a tree-" kind of thing LOL But if anything happens, he would do whatever it takes to not let the cat near his sibling ever again
Wooly is likely the most curious one, from wondering how their relationship started to asking Nari why he has 3 eyes LMAO BUT def be the most innocent one to be like "oh thats so cool so happy for you both!!" They'd be the one to comfort Lambert if smtng happens
Dolly would also be just as curious but smart about it, making questions that sound like someone older than her would make despite her age (14-15) She would be fine with Narinder, but def take advantage of his feelings sometimes for shits and giggles like "oh do this or Ill tell Lambert you stink!!" smtg like that yk xD I think she and Nari could make for interesting partners in crime at some point now I think about it help thatd be funny-
ONE DAY ILL GET A COMIc done or get to this part soon enough in my fanfic Death After Life where Nari meets Lambert's family, so we shall see whether these stick til there!
For now hope this answers ur question, tysm for asking! ^^
