Obi wan suddenly, dramatically throws his robe down and yells into the skies: WHY IS EVERYONE IN THIS FREAKING GALAXY A KRIFFIN LUNATICK EVEN THE FORCE?! *sinking his shoulders sadly* why am i the only normal reasonable adult here? *sniff*

His robe then is picked up by a pair of gloved hands. Cody, picks it up and hands it to him then calmly crosses his arms behind his back.

Cody: Here you dropped this sir :) My name is marshall commander cody, i am assigned to you as your commander :)

Obi wan:

Obi *whisper*: a normal reasonable adult?!

Cody: oh thank the maker i didn't want to be so forward at our first meeting but yes oh finally A NORMAL PERSON. *leans in and whispers behind held out hand* these lunaticks here all all out of their minds aren't they?

Obi with teary eyes: YESSSS!

Moon-jo took a seat beside you, stretching his long legs across the narrow space that separated you from the room’s exit, and opened up the plastic food container, extending a pair of pristine metal chopsticks to you.

You slowly took the chopsticks, your body hair standing on end from either the cold of their metal, or from how vividly red the meat inside the container was.

It coruscated red with life as soon as he popped the container open and a sheer metallic scent exploded through the room. Like a lamb that just got slaughtered and drained of its blood, but stronger.

With Moon-jo’s muted but still obviously expectant eyes on you, you positioned the cold chopsticks in your fingers and picked up a slice of the moist meat. You seated its cold slab on your tongue and got instantly assaulted by its flavour profile: acutely bloody, raw and fleshy.

It reminded you of the contrast you’d observed between store-bought chicken eggs versus the duck eggs from your aunt’s farm: the duck eggs tasted way earthier, more like eggs, and were that much more filling.

Eggs that tasted more like eggs.

And here, meat that tasted more like meat.

Suspicion reared its bloody head in your mind, but no suspicion is ever truly heeded until it is confirmed. So you chewed and chewed, swallowing down the fleshy chunks, with Moon-jo following every nodule that slid down your throat with half-lidded eyes and visibly dilating pupils.

“What do you think?” he asked, holding up the container for you, daring you to try some more.

Pinching another slimy slice in between your chopsticks, you looked at Moon-jo more closely.

the ending shattered me, as i expected, and it has restored my faith in humanity, as i also expected.

i love how i understand now much more about the cosmere than i did (checks calendar) a month ago, i just love acquiring knowledge like a Keeper. I would've been an incredible Keeper.
