8 Popular Men’s Fashion Styles Seen In K-Dramas
1. Kim Seon Ho
In Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Kim Seon ho’s fashion is casual and practical. You will often see him wearing a t-shirt, plaid shirt, and jeans.
The main point of his style is that he rarely buttons up his shirts. Because the checkered patterns are colorful and diverse, it never gets boring.
2. Park Seo Joon
In Itaewon Class, Park Seo Joon often wears oversized items, especially bomber jackets in deep tones, that show his masculinity.
He completes this edgy, street look by layering with dark hoodies and wearing combat boots.
3. Park Seo Joon
Unlike the stubborn, hard Park Saeroyi, Park Seo Joon plays a seemingly narcisstic chairman with a luxurious, clean style in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.
He often wears a full suit with a tie and completes the look with a very fancy pocket scarf.
4. Lee Min Ho
Lee Min Ho often plays a chaebol, a word used to describe the super-rich in Korea.
In The King Eternal Monarch, he completes this look by wearing a long coat or trench coat paired with a turtleneck sweater, creating a classic and luxurious style.
5. Gong Yoo
In Goblin, Gong Yoo also dresses luxuriously in long coats and turtlenecks.
Unlike Lee Min Ho, Gong Yoo is portrayed more warmly, and you will see many scenes of him wearing sweaters and cardigans to create a sweet, friendly look.
6. Cha Eun Woo
Cha Eun woo’s image in My ID Is Gangnam Beauty is a gentle, sweet, and almost perfect guy. That’s why his fashion style in this drama is quite simple and causal.
His most worn outfit is usually slacks and a button down shirt. The shirt is neatly tucked in, making him look and professional.
7. Hwang In Yeop
Hwang In Yeop perfectly portrays the bad boy in True Beauty with his big leather jackets, chain necklace, and silver earrings.
He looks extremely trendy and sets the standard for the bad boy style.
8. Lee Do Hyun
The drama Youth of May is set around an extremely important event in Korean history - the democratization of Gwangju in May 1980. Lee Do Hyun recreated the style of the youth at that time.
The most typical of Lee Do Hyun’s retro outfits is jeans with a button down shirt and belt.

An extension for library and book lovers
Library Extension allows you to see if your library has a book you're interested in and put a hold on it without having to go to the library site to do it.
They have extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.
The extension works for several dozen countries, so it's worth checking if your country is included.
You then select which country subdivision you live in and which library systems you want to add the extension to.
Once the library is added in, when you go to shopping sites like Amazon, you should see on the side whether the library has any copies of the book!

Simply because he spoke against I*rael. He's an activist who came from humble background and speaks against injustice. Of course they put him under hit list. Hope he recovers soon.

america has spent the last several decades with its focus on the middle east. i'm hoping in the coming years we see a shift in focus to the americas (north and south) and asia.
monroe doctrine 2.0
#america on its own is already an impenetrable autarkic fortress#but if we can secure all the americas? we'd be doubly set for eternity.#gotta secure the northwest passage and the panama canal and even the straight of magellan and drake's passage#then rebuild our relationships with latin america#imagine it -- two whole continents abundant in resources united in peace and commerce#it would be a great blessing#and then we could focus energy on containing china and securing our asian allies -- japan and south korea and the philippines and taiwan#and we have to strengthen our relationship with india#it's good right now but tenuous#and india stands to be a most critical ally in the coming decades#europe can handle russia and the middle east#with our support obviously#but i think it's time we hand them the reins

Hello, family member of survivors of communism and people who actually lived in public apartments here.
THEY WERE SHIT.
I cannot express to you how much living under communist rule is shit. It doesn't matter if the IRL regimes didn't live up to the ideals -- SO MANY human rights have to be trampled over and so many people have to be hurt for the system to even be ATTEMPTED in the first place (and revolution mostly just KILLS PEOPLE and replaces who's at the top for a while -- the elites in China these days may often have peasant ancestors but look at the way they live, and look at how the rest of the country lives -- the inequality is still staggering, and it was even before the PRC opened up to market economies again).
Communism is nice as a theory, can be useful for looking at and understanding systems in the world, but it is ultimately unsuitable for governance.
I am a leftist in America and support socialist-leaning policies but dear fucking gods DO NOT bring up communism like it's an actual fucking solution to me. It's like telling a Jewish person to give fascism a try.
companies really have got to be okay with stagnant profits. what is wrong with earning the same amount every year? why does it always have to be more? it’s not sustainable. there are only so many people on the planet you can profit from 😭
#i am pro regulating the stock market#i am also pro finding an alternative to late stage capitalism#but fucking hell im sick of people talking about communism#when they did not have their own family members starve to death because of so called#'collective farming'#sure cuba has a great literacy rate now#but think of all the people who had to have their lives derailed as adolescents to make that happen#no choice. humans being managed like just another resource.#nobody outside china seems to remember the mass starvation that mao caused which killed millions upon millions of people#this happened in the soviet bloc too!#xi jinping is a disaster re: geopolitics partly bc this man is ruling china like a gangster#he was sent to the farms as a youth and never completed education beyond elementary school#like yeah school isnt everything but this man is running china like a schoolyard bully#he literally does not understand more sophisticated tactics or politics#and that is a direct result of communism!#before china opened up to capitalist markets#i wont deny communism has done SOME good things#china is better for womens rights (well. when the women are born and not aborted) than korea or japan bc of communist rule#but as a whole the people are so fucked over by the state#you can't trust what any person in china says in public about their politics -- not even the most famous or rich people#they can and will be purged.#richest man in china got all his assets seized#my dad's classmate just disappeared the other month -- its made all the headlines#bc he was so high up in govt and suddenly he's just GONE#nobody is safe. that's not a fucking solution to capitalism

6 K-Pop Idols Who Break Korea’s Beauty Standards
1. Jessi
Jessi would be the last person to play by anyone’s rules. Jessi is bold and beautiful and people love her for that. With her tanned skin and voluptuous body, she adheres to no Korean beauty standards and is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. She has even spoken vocally about her cosmetics surgeries and is loved by fans for being raw and unapologetic in her approach to life be it on or off camera.
2. Stray Kids Changbin
Nothing wrong with Chang Bin’s visuals but sometimes it’s not acceptable to the current beauty norms of K-pop. His sharp chin gives him a killer jawline but the people still say it’s too pointed. Even his short height makes him not fit into the ideal Korean beauty standards but nevertheless, he is still one of the best rapper of this generation.
3. Mamamoo Hwasa
Hwasa is a powerhouse on stage with her beautiful curvy body. It is no surprise that she is on the list due to the backlash she receives for her bold outfit choices. She may not have the ideal slim body, pale flawless skin, or big eyes, but it is her unique look that makes her even more attractive.
4. Seventeen Woozi
Woozi doesn’t fit into the Korean beauty standards with his 164 cm of height. His noble size difference when compared to his other members is actually quite cute and endearing, plus he is extremely talented and an excellence performer. You clearly don’t need to be towering over other idols to prove your talent.
5. Twice Jihyo
Jihyo wasn’t spared. Due to having a slightly large frame than her members, she was called fat even though she was far from that and her tanned skin was not appreciated too. But now this girl is going against all odds and embracing her body and giving us god-tier visuals in every comeback.
6. BTS Jimin
Jimin is known for having small eyes. He’s shown fans that he’s not handsome despite them, but rather because of them. While having big eyes and double eyelids is the standard in Korea, Jimin is one of the few idols who have small, monolid eyes.

Wait we had a war with Korea??
In all seriousness though, it is hard for people to learn about something when they don't know it happened. And not many people think to research this kind of thing, even if they should!! History is a sort of non-tangible idea to many people rather then the very real reality that impacts all of us. And people will often prioritize their daily lives over researching something they view that way.
This is of course, me being very charitable. I just want to highlight that it can also be out of lack of access to information/resources and having different priorities. It is still VERY important to educate yourself on what you can and we want to encourage learning about things like this even on a surface level!
There is obviously people who don't want to learn or see it as irrelevant which is equal parts sad and Incredibly frustrating.
And then there's people like the Twitter OP. People who KNOW at least the base level of the war and choose to be obtuse and daft about it. I think we can ALL agree on throttling them because
ALL WAR IS BAD, DIPSHIT!
every day i feel driven insane by the self assured incurious cruelty of liberal americans lmao. is killing literally 1/3 of a countrys population with carpet bombing somehow a good war? a huge portion of american society is completely incapable of perceiving the rest of the worlds population as human in the same way as them
#anyways#encourage curiosity and educating people on even a basic level of events#dont be like me! the local fool who had no clue we even WENT to war with Korea#despite watching MASH as a young child with my war buff dad#i was focused on Klingers dresses okay#also thank you miss ruisa for the resources!!! Thats very helpful and your effort despite frustration is greatly appreciated

8. August - Successful room temperature ambient-pressure magnetic levitation of LK-99

Buy me a coffee ❤️
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The heavily armed DMZ separating North and South Korea has become a wildlife haven | CNN
CNN — Between North and South Korea lies the demilitarized zone (DMZ), one of the world’s most heavily armed borders. The 160-mile stretch is barred with fences and landmines and is largely empty of human activity. But that isolation has inadvertently turned the area into a haven for wildlife. Google released street view images of the DMZ for the first time this week, offering a rare glimpse…
