I have a slightly angsty headcannon about Sonic.

I know he's not normally big on touch or physical affection, but based on two scenes, there seems to be an implication that he gets more clingy/keen on touch when he's in pain. 🥲

The first example is in Sonic Frontiers. Tails knows Sonic better than anyone. When Sonic freed Tails from his cyber cage, and Tails saw him on his knees and coughing, what did he IMMEDIATELY try to do?

Run and hug him. 🥹💔

As if there were previous times when Sonic was suffering with one thing or another, and Tails's hugging him helped him feel a little better. 🥹 Of course, Sonic then tried to brush it off and hide it from Tails, but Tails's initial reaction still says something to me.

The second example is in the last episode of Sonic Prime. The set of scenes between the energy extraction and returning home is probably the most vulnerable I've ever seen Sonic act around his friends, and the most he's had to rely on them (which really says something about how bad he must've been feeling 💔). Besides a couple scenes when he was more or less standing on his own, he spent almost the whole time leaning on one of his friends. He was practically clinging to Knux at the start of it.

There were low-key moments like this later on with Thorn holding his hand and Shadow carrying him, but this moment stuck out the most to me in context of this headcannon.

It's ... both sad and sweet. I'm just glad Sonic's friends are there for him when he needs them. 💙

movie sonadow would be so l umity-coded…and i say this bc their dynamic is similar to the games but with a different and tender perspective: they both empathize deeply with each other now, and this shadow is not as reticent or closed off bc of that. that being said: movie!sonic would ABSOLUTELY 'YOU'RE the sweet potato!' the hell out of shadow

I think I get why they look so white in the Fang the Hunter series

They're in a desert, on a full moon night. If you've ever been in a desert, away from any light pollution, the moonlight makes everything of lighter tone look glowingly white

Not entirely everything, the darker shades still retain their shady color but the skin which isn't much darker, even if it's brown, looks white. Ambient reflection makes it bright enough, direct light from the moon makes it even more intense to the point you can't distinguish features without shadows of facial lines.

I just don't understand why they didn't do the same for Bark

Sonic Prime (Part 2)

I have finished watching the Sonic Prime (Part 2), and I’m losing my mind over here! Shatterverse characters interacting?! Everything about Dread?! Metal Sonic/Chaos Sonic?! Shatterverse characters travelling between the Shatterspaces?! “I heart you too, Shadow!’’?! Titan Eggman?! Sonic getting a new super form?! Nine’s betrayal?!

This show is loaded with awesome!!!

(Sonic Prime is not a multiverse story, it's one universe that got destroyed/distorted)

Sonic, you do understand that if reality gets restored, and the Shatterverse stops existing (because it wouldn't be shattered anymore), so would the shatterspaces, and everyone who lives there: everything would just go back to the way it was before.

But if you consider them real, you only have two choices:

Bring the shards together and restore your reality, bringing back your friends in the process, but the people created by the shattering of the Prism would go back to being just parts of your friends and seize to exist separately?

Or leave it be, and lose your friends forever, but their counterparts would still exist as their own entities?

So what would it be, Sonic?

Who has more right to exist?
