#knitted worm

Hi! ^^ I thought it would be fun to share some pics of my Hypno and Warren inspired plushies :]

The hippo is a weighted plushie from the Etsy shop, CuddleCalm. I spool knit the worm with soft yarn and used a pipe-cleaner to make him pose-able and sewed him a tiny outfit. I also made the top hat and jacket for Hypno :]

(Note: my version of Hypno has a top hat not a turban since it was confirmed canon Hypno was not wearing a turban for religious reasons. His turban is a costume, and that is culturally insensitive to put it mildly.)

I gave Hypno’s jacket lapels; though they’re hard to see when he’s wearing it so here’s a picture of the jacket (and hat.) Also here’s a couple close-ups of Warren and a picture of them with me.

Watched various videos by Lixie Pig Crafts on YouTube to help figure out how to make the jacket and assorted videos on collars and lapels, plus lots of puzzling together pieces of paper while making a pattern. Watched a video called DIY mini top hat tutorial by Fleece Fun on YouTube for the hat, but I sewed instead of glued.

Also, if you happen to be interested in weighted plushies, I definitely recommend the plushies Stephanie Edmonds makes for her Etsy shop, CuddleCalm <3 The ones I’ve bought seem like high quality and are super soft. There is a long wait time though, usually a couple months. But they are hand made and she offers a bunch of different kinds of animals (and blankets too) plus lots of fabric/color options and other customization options. (She is dealing with some medical issues in her family, so I’m sure she could use the support.)

finished this beast of a shawl earlier this year and i am so proud of how it turned out holy shit

i had so much fun working on it! there are i think around 2800 beads and over 85000 stitches in this bad boy

“Let me see.” Worm Man looked over to where Evil X was holding a snarl of yarn looped over two knitting needles, which he looked like he was about to break. “Ah, still having trouble casting on, then? Here.” Worm Man put down his own knitting and moved closer.

“It's no use,” Evil X lamented. “This was a stupid idea you had.”

“Nonsense, you'll get there.” Worm Man’s hands hovered over Ex’s. “May I touch you?”

“.........Yeah.”

Worm Man guided Ex’s hands through the motions. “Loop it here, see, and then...”

When little hen asked toucan to come over for dinner, he had no idea it would still be moving! She mentioned that worms were her favorite childhood treat, but toucan might have to politely decline.

This time: The Corruption!

The pattern features worms, flies, ants, honeycombs, and mold motif that is knitted with two colors held together to give it that sickly, mottled appearance.

recently finished what i’ve been calling my wizard socks!

Foetal movement is so fucking weird!!!!!!!! It's so strange!!!!! I knew it was going to happen but this time last month it was an odd little ripple, like a little wave passing across me but now it's definitely a whole entire little body fidgeting around and stretching and moving and kicking my bladder and it's!!!! So!!!!! Weird!!! It's near constant but unpredictable so I'll be chilling and all of a sudden it's like there's a frog jumping around in there. Absolutely insane that bodies do this. Who decided this is how reproduction works I didn't sign up for this
