#posted one oc drawing of the main five late at night so heres one of these two early in the morning lol #finn's ocs #finn's art #but i tried something slightly different w the background on this one w the pixels #i didnt do full pixel shading it was just a way to kinda have things blend into each other in the darker corner #but no pixel shading on the two of them. im hoping this makes them pop more bc i do have an issue where bc its lineless the characters #sometimes blend into the background. maybe this is the solution we'll see lol #anyway i have no clue what theyre looking at. perhaps vela saw dolphins and was like ran wake up NOW and take in the majesty of the ocean #its like 5am but theyre both early birds so its ok #drawing ran is fun bc shes like ◕ ◕#anyway yay

HA uh it's not a real cult! it's more like a cult following if anything, the Guys™️ are just dramatic / passive-aggressive about it

a 'cult following of what' you may ask! well! it's a cult following of Wally! or more specifically, Wally's art. it isn't like, Famous or anything, but there's a niche group of art enthusiasts/snobs/etc that are borderline Obsessed with it (in my mind his art Is pretty funky! i like to think that he has mild associative synesthesia, which bleeds into his work along with his disregard for art 'rules' and the like)

it's not a huge problem? just a minor nuisance. and as a plus, it means that those people will pay absurd amounts for Wally's pieces when he sells them (or is doing commission work)!

Wally has mixed feelings about it. on one hand, he does Not mind attention & loves to talk about his art and meet new people. on the other hand, a lot of his "fans" are overbearing / over-familiar and blatantly misinterpret him and his art. so while Wally loves attending art shows etc, whenever he recognizes one of his "fans" walking over he'll often make an excuse to leave for a minute (or one of his friends will act as sort of a bodyguard lol)

#but yeah the context for the tidbit eddie heard #was that a 'fan' happened across one of wally's pieces hanging in poppy's tearoom #(bc he gifts his friends art yk! they all have ~Darling Originals~)#and the person started being a snob about it and tried to be like 'how much will you pay for this'#despite poppy saying that its not for sale and will Never be for sale #her friend made that for her :(#thankfully it doesnt happen often #since wally is a very private person and does not let Anyone know the area he lives in #to the corner of the art community he's in he just kinda Shows Up and then vanishes #which adds to his 'mysterious' reputation lmfao #rambles from the bog #wh modern human au #i have this funny scene in my mind of that one 'fan' bring one or two friends to see the artwork in poppy's tearoom #but wally's already there #and poppy notices before he does so she literally hauls him over the checkout counter and hides him behind it #but yeah Those People will wax poetic about wallys art right in front of him #theyre all 'ah yes... an apple representing blahblahblah shaded with cool colors to symbolize blahblahblah and a worm to signify blahblah'#while wally is internally like 'i just like apples and wanted it to have a friend <3'#he doesn't say anything but hes Tired lol

thank you!! and im sorry to say i do not! im very bad at coming up with ideas but i would love to hear others ideas on anything, though i will say when i started posting about it i had a brief thought of flora, florin, and talon taking melia and the protag with them to terajuma when they cheak out the tyluric temple as like a way for them to. get to terajuma. but idk how well thatd work out continuity wise. or what the whole terajuma arc would be like because of it

#i have two pillars of driftwood and rocks and they love hanging out in the branches because with the plants #this includes my java loaches / chocolate kuhlis #and my pygmy cories they like hanging out on the rocks and branches too #i love kuhlis so much and theyre so active even with the lights on even though theyre nocturnal #but my tank is also really shady on one side because my light is tiny lol. the wood also blocks quite a bit of light on #both sides of the tank though so they always have a shady place to hang out where i can see them #ive been thinking about putting tiny flowerpot hides since im getting a bigger light soon though. maybe i'll put a stack of em in my filter #corner to kinda hide them and keep the natural look ive got. i could use more porous stuff in there for BB.#yall would never be able to guess how many filters im currently running on it lmao its so many. theres gonna be another soon too #anyway ignore me i love rambling about my tank and fish n stuff
