It was a dual redraw of/homage to my first ever fanart from the day the pilot episode aired (below the cut), but this time done right after the show ended and with Eda's updated look! Though I lost steam fast I kinda like it this way lol, one of those things that probably would have lost its energy if I tried to line it yknow

Everything about The Owl House finale was spectacular and I loved it so much, but one smaller thing I enjoyed was that they continued in the She-Ra tradition of affirming all their gay couples and having them kiss in the finale while having their male-female relationship (though obvs Huntlow is queer too) be left technically ambiguous

I HATE how ppl treat the werehog as if he was some feral werewolf monster that needs to be tamed when he isn't

Like he's literally a subversion of the trope where a character becomes a completely uncontrollable beast that must either be controlled or killed

Like I love the idea of him having his feral freaky animal moments but he does not need to be tamed or controlled. Like his ENTIRE arc in Unleashed and more prominently in post-sgw Archie was that he needed to accept and learn how to live with his new form so that he can save the world. Literally the exact opposite of control

Nearing the endgame of Unleashed Chip literally TELLS him that his will is too strong for him to be consumed by the dark energy inside him like others have. And like when Dark Gaia took its energy back it HURT Sonic bc he'd ACCEPTED the werehog as a part of himself. He was willing to live with it!! And I'd even go as far as to say he WANTED to keep it bc of how much it hurt having it taken away!!

Like. Tell me you don't actually know the werehog without telling me

but also IMAGINE if he told her the king thing. imagine luz walking up to the owl house, covered in belos goop, looking like that. and telling eda "hi! your son is a god and i have a message from his father, god and the ground we stand on! i just killed the emperor btw :3" top ten ways for eda and luz to either become besties immediately or eda to try and kill her immediately. and the message is "i loaf you."

it's sound weird, but i have headcanon that Hunter didn't go hexside, because he too old to shool(according to my feelings, at the end of the he is 16-17 y.o (except for the post-credits scene), and at that age it is already too late to go to school):p

i mean, well- in my opinion he rather certainly did go to hexside, since one of the things he'd said during his TTT monologue was "i'd like to attend hexside like a normal student and play flyer derby with my friends" and all of his "wishes" were supposed to sort of foreshadow his goals and his future (carving palismen, studying wild magic, etc etc) so i feel like it's safe to say he succeeded in becoming a hexside student as well. we also know he attended grom with the rest of his friend group, and like- since he's 16 before the timeskip (no canon certainty whether he's recently turned 16 or is going on 17 already though, but like... around 16 canonically) that means he'd get at least 1 year of school, but most likely 2+.

my personal headcanon is that he went to hexside for around 2 years (full or not quite, depending on when the school year starts in the boiling isles and how long it lasts; possibly even 3), and during that time he picked up a mentorship/apprenticeship at del's palisman carving shop, and after he graduated from hexside he started carving palismen professionally with the clawthornes (i like to think that he also takes some courses at eda's wild magic university in his spare time, simply cuz . funny uni hexsquad shenanigans)

I know I've written a lot of uh... "bondage" fics. A lot of fun, hard-core stuff

But realistically I think Eda would freak the fuck out if someone wanted to put a collar on her or put her in rope or chains. Bbg would have a panic attack

So like, it's fun to ignore that fact when writing fics because fics are fics and you cherry pick what you want to be true inside of it

But I do think Eda would still melt if Raine petted her hair or stroked her back, or cooed at her and talked the talk without walking the walk

Like, she's not a monster. She's just a sweetheart for the sake of the scene

About Hunter and Amity. There are some mixed perspectives about them. Some people think that they don't like each other and some people think they are friends.

I think only judging the show without relying to headcanons or something, they are pretty much an acquaintances relationship where they help and tolerate each other just for Luz, Gus and Willow but they don't hang out or share anything because they bring each other toxic's traits because they reminds them their past dark times. At the end of the day, they mind their own business and try to be cooperate as much as possible for their friends but once the groups breaks, they will do anything in order to save their friends like how Amity threw a fire ball to possessed Hunter while everyone else were defensive.

Despite having an entire episode dedicated to each of them Amity is the only one in the Hexsqaud (not counting Vee) that Hunter doesn't have any bond with.

But because they're the most popular characters fans wants them to have the deepest bond. (I think they're the only one's of the Hexsqaud to have a friend-ship name. Rose Gold.)

You don't see anyone mourning over the fact that Amity and Gus interacted like twice in the entire show.

Or because of the similarities between Hunter and Prince Zuko, people want Hunter and Amity to be like Zuko and Katara.

Now I think the jokes about Amity having beef with Hunter are hilarious but if I'm being honest it's because it's the only interesting thing about their canon dynamic. And it isn't even accurate outside of one singular episode.

The Collector to some extent does have a concept of what parents are, so it was kinda natural for them to start calling Belos papa.

Ofc, Belos denied it at first but slowly it just kinda stuck (and let me tell you, Hexsquad did find out about it through Hunter snd they lost their shit 💀)
