I just want to say that I liked your first story so much that in the middle of you making the second one, I started to read your story out loud to my family. And my step mom also loved it! I looked forward everyday to reading it to her your story is probably a big reason I get along so well with my step mom too! I plan to start to read the second book out loud after finally settling down from a few rough years and I'm excited to start reading the third! Keep up the amazing work!

Still thinking about none houses left grief, and while I understand where people are coming from, "it took me out of the world" is just... Really not a relevant criticism here. Like, that line is SUPPOSED to be jarring. It is supposed to be kind of darkly funny, but the point isnt for you to laugh. Its not trying to be a punchline. The point of that line IS to "take you out of the world" because the point is that *this world isn't what you thought it was.*
