Walter Bob ending up being the heart of the story and the conclusion was great storytelling. Not only was he not incidental, but he was integral and the point. They had to trust that Tazercraft and the audience would care enough about Walter to want him to escape and that was a safe bet considering how organically the players have grown to like him. Especially with Mike having been the one to give him his new appearance. I wasn’t expecting him to be so important but it seems inevitable in retrospect. Well done.

every mmorpg in the world provided the avenues for it will have strangers that tell you that your outfit looks cool or that your character's name is awesome, will have veterans that overpatiently ferry you through advanced zones, will have people that go out of their way to raise you every time you die with no complaint even if you keep foolishly dying, strangers that gift you things, people that don't mind explaining at length mechanics that are obvious to most in attendance, people that join your party just to help you with a long and tedious instance that has no relevant reward for them. there will also always be people who get irritable when people don't intuitively know what to do even without being told, people who call everyone in their group useless idiots the second something is not going 100% optimally, trolls, people who are bigoted in shout chat. this is because a game's playerbase is a conglomeration of all kinds of people and not a monolithic culture of people who are morally better than the average population because they play the game you like

this is like the third time ive had to post something like this but you guys need to stop treating unodum like a celebrity or fangirl over him or act like its some sort of gift to be talked to by him or especially treat his friends weirdly because they talk to him regularly. ive gotten word that his friends are being treated as special just because they have connections to him and being asked to like say stuff to him or whatever??? which is legitimately very very gross behavior. cause its not only really uncomfortable for uno but it gets very awkward and uncomfortable for me and his friends. im aware my popularity in the regretevator fandom is largely because im associated with him and in all honesty from the START that concept has made me pretty upset. neither me nor his other friends want to be seen as special just because we’re close to him. its part of why i didnt make much outside of the blog AND why i just abandoned the blog and the fandom altogether. i think a lot of you guys are a younger audience and are still learning internet etiquette and social boundaries, but this needs to be a lesson in how NOT to treat others on the internet, especially content creators. this isnt to say dont attempt to build friendships with people you think are cool and feel like you have things in common with, but you cant go into that with the mindset of “i worship you notice me.” you need to understand that no matter how popular your favorite creator is, theyre literally just a person. thats it. just a person. not a god, not a character, just a person. im really fed up
