Today I learned that men are fucking stupid and useless even when women ask them for help because I just went through a scenario where 3 men couldn’t trust for like three seconds that a woman knew what she was doing (It’s giving Rick Flag Sr) and were just no help at all

So my mom came into my job and asked for help getting the coolant cap off for my grandmas car so she could put a new bottle in because she has arthritis in her hands and types for like nine hours a day and it went like this

My mom: Hey, where’s one of your male co workers ? I need help getting the coolant cap off on the car and my hands aren’t working

Me: I’ll get it mom, don’t worry about it

My mom: Okay thanks

Male co worker out of nowhere: Don’t open it, it’ll burn you !

My mom: The car is turned off and I made sure it was cold, I know what I’m doing I just need help getting the cap off-

Random male customer in line: You’re putting coolant in your car ?

My mom: Yes I-

Random male customer: Don’t do it, it’ll burn you !

My mom: I know what I’m doing, my husband taught me how to do this, I just need help getting the cap off

Random male customer: I’m just trying to tell you to wait lady, it’ll burn you

Me: I’m going to grab a heat resistant glove just in case

So we go outside and it goes like this

Me: This isn’t hot, right mom ?

My mom: No it’s not hot

Me, discards glove and starts opening the cap: Yeah you’re right this is stuck

Random man at gas pump, rolling down his window: Hey are you putting coolant in the car ?!?

My mom: Yes, but we’re having trouble with the cap we need help opening it-

Random man at gas pump: Don’t open it, it’ll explode in your face !

My mom, getting tired of explaining herself: I know what I’m doing the cap is just stuck !

Random man: It’s hot, don’t touch it !

Me, who opened the cap and even got coolant on my hand which in fact wasn’t hot: Here you go mom.

My mom: Thank you

And then I went back inside and it went like

Male co worker: Did you get it ?

Me: Yeah

Male co worker: And it wasn’t hot ?!?

Me:….

Like she blatantly told these men what she needed help with and how they could help her and instead they stood there fucking useless and acted like she didn’t know what she was doing like they knew better

If men aren’t going to be useful when we actually tell them what we need they can all just die because why are they so wrong and so fucking useless ?
