The first time she went "quack quack quack quack" and only four little ducks came paddling back she should have kept those kids safe and reported the other one missing. But did she? Oh no. Still she sent those little ducks out each day, over the hill and far away. Why, it was only a matter of time before she went "quack quack quack quack" and NO little ducks came paddling back.

This isn’t MLP related necessarily, but I figured my followers on this sideblog are more likely to have experience entertaining kids.

I am looking for fun, kid-friendly songs to learn on my ukulele. They can be from anywhere! I’ve adapted Make a New Friend Every Day already because, since it has no mention of pony-specific stuff, it’s just an adorable song about friendship for any child. I’m also learning some Veggietales songs— even though I’m not Christian, I grew up with it and my neighbors are Christian, and I Can Be Your Friend is an adorable song for Christian children. If it didn’t have a mention of God, it would be fun for any child, too. Maybe I can find a way to modify the lyrics.

So, to anyone who sees this, what songs do you recommend? They can be nursery rhymes, clean radio tunes, songs from TV and movies you like, anything! Please share your favorite songs from when you were a young child :)

OK, as an early-mid Australian Millennial There's some things I have to get off my chest.

Some of the songs we used to sing as kids absolutely boggled my mind then and continue to do for the past 30 years

Lets start with "Mr Clicketty Cane"

It's a song about this dude who likes to do all kinds of crazy shit. An excerpt from the lyrics. The singer sings then the kids repeat the words:

and I'm like...why is belly flopping in a pizza where we draw the line?? this mother fucker is out here washing his face in orange juice and cleaning teeth with bubble gum (Even though he clearly owns a toothbrush but uses it on his hair) and trying to fry an egg on a metal slide in the middle of summer. Belly flopping in a pizza is the worst thing? it makes no sense

or the other one "The Little Green frog" this is the version I remember
