Ep 61:

-I genuinely could not be less impressed by Kabuto as a villain

-lmao I like that Kiba is fully a Naruto fan now

-yeah I have no idea what the FUCK Naruto is gonna do to win this match because Neji is clobbering him like there’s no tomorrow

-ah yes, Naruto just “willpower”s his way through Neji’s supermove

-okay so I don’t agree with Neji trying to kill Hinata but I really wouldn’t mind if he killed Hinata's dad

-yeah uh FUCK the Hyuga clan and FUCK Hinata’s dad

-so obviously Neji’s story taking up such a big chunk of the episode makes sense narratively but within the context of the show itself, he’s just monologuing to Naruto for like 10 minutes lol

-wow Neji’s father’s death was some fucked-up shit

Ep 62:

-ohohoho really feeling the irony of this fight

-okay Hinata definitely doesn’t have a happy relationship with her dad, but Naruto saying she’s probably suffering as much as Neji is uh… incorrect

-Neji honey I’m so sorry, if you were fighting literally any of the less-important characters you would’ve won this fight

-but also yes so true Naruto, please change the Hyuga clan and also beat up Hinata’s dad after becoming Hokage

I think it’s because I’m not a fan of the “insane superpower MC has because they’re the Chosen One” trope that came into play with the Nine Tails chakra. Also I feel bad for Neji… but I guess in a philosophical sense he needed to lose this one to disprove his whole “fate” thing

Ep 63:

-awwww Naruto getting appreciation from the crowd was nice

-why didn’t Hinata’s dad give Neji the letter earlier???????

-nah it’s still FUCK the Hyuga clan

-also I still don’t like Hinata’s dad. I don’t care that he apologized to Neji and that Neji’s dad chose to die; he still talks about Hinata like she’s worthless and he just kinda let Neji suffer after his father’s death for almost a decade. Also he doesn’t seem to have done anything about how fucked-up his clan is

-god, knowing that Neji dies is making this episode HEARTBREAKING

-I know Kankuro withdraws for strategic reasons but also if I were him I would’ve withdrawn anyways because I am NOT fighting motherfucking Shino

Ep 64:

-the implication that Temari was just gonna clobber Shikamaru with her fan like a baseball bat if he hadn’t dodged her attack is pretty funny

His parents are ALIVE AND HAPPY. His siblings are with their parents and they are all a close, cute family.

Lee and TenTen:

Lee wants to fight with Neji/Naruto and win, but Neji wanted to fight with Lee and we know they were sparring frequently.

So in Lee's perfect life, he and Neji are still happy with the only difference being - Lee finally won. Sakura is in love with Lee, but she is still herself. She is doing what she is always doing - being loud and happy, SHE IS HERSELF.

TenTen is standing with Neji and doing what they are always doing - judging Lee and Guy

So in TenTen's perfect world - Neji is alive and they are all (weird) happy family like they were before.

Choji, Shikamaru and Ino:

Chiji found love and his father is proud of him. Nice, self-explanatory.

Shikamaru is watching 2 couples (Kurenai x Asuma and Shikamarus father and mother) while doing what he loves - complaining. Asuma is ALIVE and meeting his child, Shikaku is ALIVE and with the woman he loves - Shikamaru's mother.

So in Shikamaru's perfect world, they are all the same people with their loved ones. Shikamaru is complaining and happy to see them together.

Ino is with Sai and Sasuke who are fighting for her and her father is happy and proud of her AND ALIVE. Sasuke and Sai are fighting for Ino but look! They are not blushing, not doing anything OOC, they are themselves but in love with Ino.

So in Ino's perfect world, she is popular (with two guys she is attracted to), her father is happy and proud of her.

NOW TO THE SELFISH TEAM:

Kiba and Shino:

They are both successful, Kiba is the Hokage and Shino found a new species. Not much to add there.

But then, Crème de la crème, this b*tch Hinata:

In Hinata's dream, she is with Naruto (no surprises) and Neji is alive, but is it? Let's break this down:

Naruto is not Naruto. He is quiet, just sitting there. Naruto, the child with SO MUCH ENERGY he cannot stand in one place, just sitting. Naruto the child WHO SPEAKS SO MUCH is just quiet.

In Lee dream - Sakura is in love with him BUT SHE IS ACTING LIKE SAKURA, SHE IS SAKURA.

In Ino's dream - Sasuke and Sai are fighting over Ino, BUT THEY ARE THEMSELVES. They act like themselves. THEY ARE THEMSELVES.

Everyone who dreams of someone imagine them as they are. Sakura is Sakura, Sasuke and Sai are themselves. Even Temari speaking her one word in Shikamarus dream IS TEMARI. She speaks like she usually do when they are together.

But Naruto in Hinatas mind? Quiet. Stagnant. She could have imagined him as himself as a talkative, over-energized, NARUTO, but no. Quiet.

But that's less infuriating - more just annoying.

Now to the infuriating part.

WTF NEJI.

Why is he annoyed? Why in Hinata's perfect dream - Neji is mad and stalking her? Why in a world when they can be friends, when Neji can be proud of her (like fathers in Ino's or Choji's) she imagined him as unhappy?

And why is he spying on her? Why is he not happily with her, or with his friends OR HIS FATHER, but he is just sitting in the bushes and stalking Hinata?

That's again, not Neji, people who imagined the opposite of Neji saw him like Hinata wanted him in her dream.

Look at Road to ninja, a movie when they are THEIR OPPOSITES. What is Neji doing? Stalking Hinata and getting angry. Wow, would you look at this.

(And yes, that's a filler movie, and no I don't like studio pierrot, but COME ON, WHAT THEY IMAGIN AS THE OPPOSITE OF NEJI IS WHAT HINATA WANTED NEJI TO BE)

SHE COULD HAVE IMAGINED HYUGA CLAN BEING FIXED, MAIN AND SIDE BRANCH HAPPY TOGETHER.

But no, let's imagine that everything is like it is, Neji is still her slave (even after his death - she still imagine him as a slave, propably with his curse mark), he is spying on her and unhappy with it :)

Why dream of change, when you can be with your crush (who acts like a completely different person) and still having your slave, but in this world - he is stalking you! Yeey....

I can't, I can't with that character, every chance she gets to do the right thing - she keeps on proving how s*it of a person she is...

Sakura stans still message Swagkage their hate when he made the video "Why People Hate Sakura so much" that has millions of views even though this video was uploaded in 2017. They talked about how he was so biased and didn't understood her character. Guy gets harassed because they can't understand how awful Sakura's character is.

Sakura is a character they like so not surprised it made them mad. It would be nice if they didn't harass people but it's not gonna change, they harass even the anime staff.

What is funny about Swagkage's video about Sakura is that it's not even biased. He's way nicer to her than most other people who make videos on her. He did not even meant to make a video dunking on her, because he prefers to make videos about fights but since he made a video "top 5 naruto characters I like the least" a lot of people were protesting why he didn't include Sakura. It seems to be because he doesn't care about her much, but due to those comments he made a video explaining WHY people hate Sakura. And the reasons are valid. I would add to the list but it was still good.

He did not use any misogynist insults, he didn't comment on her looks, he didn't complain that she's not into Naruto romantically. He simply pointed out how useless and underwhelming she is when it comes to battles and how it makes her look pathetic, how she is a bad friend, how her obsession on Sasuke is unreasonable and annoying.

I can't find the original video (did he hide it due to hate or what?) but there are many reactions to the video that show the video on full in case anyone wants to see what we are talking about.

In some of his other videos he says things like he was rooting for Sakura during her fight with Ino (something I disagree with) and I never see him "bash" her so there is not much bias in my opinion.

One part of the video I'll copy here that people who compare Sakura to side characters that barely get any screentime fail to understand

"on top of that Sakura is placed in many important situations where she practically does nothing to contribute"

^^This here is something really important. Yes Rock Lee, Kiba, Shino or Tenten do not get to do much but would they have failed as massively or make as stupid decisions as Sakura has done if they were placed on the same situations? No, because the side characters use those smaller moments they get rather well, and do not do stupid things. If you look at Temari, I can't think of any stupid moment from her. Same with Shikamaru (I'm talking battle wise, you can argue about his personality all you want).

"additionally, the scope of some of the stuff she attempts to do, just to prove she is indeed useful, which serves no purpose other than to satisfy her own ego is far too massive for somebody with her capabilities. She always aims too high and still expects the best outcome"

(Repost) Naruto/Boruto Headcanon: Chocolate Flavored Potato Chips, The Marriage of Karui & Chouji pt. 6- THE NIGHT CONTINUES

As the meal is served, Karui and Chouji’s table gets to eat first. Followed by the groomsmen/bridesmaids' table along with Naruto’s since he won the UNO game tournament.

Sasuke looked around him to see many people infatuated with the high-quality beef like they hadn’t eaten in years.

“THIS IS SO DELICIOUS! I NEED THE RECIPE NOW!! I NEED TO ASK KILLER BEE ABOUT IT!!!’’ smiled Naruto as he added another piece of beef into his already full mouth. Karin and Suigetsu appeared to have put their difference aside to joyfully share a meal together. Sasuke raised an eyebrow at it.

His vision was obstructed by Shisui stuffing his face with everything on the table. He was grilling his deep-fried dough, dipping it in the soup, and eating his sauce. As messy his cousin eating was, Sasuke couldn’t judge too much because he had no clue how to eat most of those meal as well but compared to Itachi he appeared completely off track. His brother looked like he knew what he was doing.

“Sheesh, this is some good food! Rin we better get on this.” Obito commented mouth open to the amusement of Madara who always gets a good laugh out of him being enthusiastic about anything. Meanwhile, the big-haired Uchiha was too busy soliciting waitresses every 5 minutes for whatever reason.

Sakura caught herself eating way more deep-fried dough balls, than she intended.

 “I’m definitely gaining some inches to my waist tonight’’ She sighed. “It will probably go to my chest’’ she ironically thought. Next to her, Hinata was hesitantly picking her spoon in the various sauces and side dishes. Sakura took notice and reassured her;

“Don’t worry Hinata, it’s nice to try different things sometimes’’ she smiled. The kind words allowed her to relax a little.

“You need to try more dishes!’’ exclaimed Hanabi who rose from her place to support Sakura. Quickly, she handed her a bowl of spinach sauce with cassava rice “Taste that! It’s delicious!’’.

Temari frowned as she sniffed one of the bowls of sauce, she quickly put it back on the table.

“Something is wrong Temari?’’ asked Gaara as he removed eggplant from the grill. She pushed a few other bowls away from her grimacing. “There’s too much peanut butter, I can’t stand it’’ she answered. Kankuro and Gaara looked at each other.

“No need to make a scene’’ said Kankuro as he shoved a piece of plantain in his older sister's mouth only to receive a herculean slap behind his head.

The dinner went as expected, when everyone was satisfied, waiters cleared the table while waitresses distributed alcoholic beverages based on each table’s orders. Yes, in Kumo they do the drinking after the meal and it is used as prepping for the dancefloor. When cocktails (or a beer whatever pleases you) are served, each table are called to offer their gifts and envelopes (of money) to Karui & Chouji.

Sasuke watched as Naruto’s table (made of him, Lee, Kiba, Shino, Sai & Neji) got up to greet the groom and the bride. Shisui raised an eyebrow.

“Wait, Sasuke why aren’t you going with them? Aren’t you friends with them too?” He asked only to be answered with an angry look. Rin sighed at what she thinks is her husband’s cousin's ignorance and not a willful attempt to hurt Sasuke’s feelings. Itachi discretely cringed at the man’s words.

Sakura sipped on an exotic fruit sparkling water when she watched Shikamaru, Ino & Asuma offering their gifts and best wishes to the newly married couple. Shikamaru was drowning in his tears and Ino tried her best to maintain her composure but failed miserably. Sakura’s table was called next. Hinata went on a long genuine monologue to wish them a good life as a married couple. Especially to Karui who just joined her in the “Married Women Club’’ and how she can’t wait to see her become a mother one day. The others (Karin, Suigetsu & Juugo) expressed their joy for them and presented their gifts even if they were not as familiar with Chouji and his wife as much as Sakura & Hinata.

“I have to admit your marriage is already better than Temari’s’’ admitted Kankuro to Chouji, he was instantly gifted with a second slap on the neck by Temari. Him and Chouji laughed it off while Gaara was offering a few presents to Karui.

Time passed and the alcohol was flowing AND IT SHOWED. Waves of laughter were getting higher, and some were already weakened or boldened by the alcoholic beverages. Naruto felt it “It’s Coming…’’ he said to Lee. Kakashi never felt this relaxed in a while, he needed to bring a few bottles of the whisky they were serving home.

“Ok ok, I see you guys have digested well your food and some burn of impatience to show their dance moves to the world or I’m seeing double?’’ said Killer Bee. Waiters started freeing the space to make room for the dancefloor. “Fool, Ya, fool. It’s time to get funky but before the bench warmers leave in a hurry! It's time for the throw of the bride’s flower bouquet. Come on, all my single ladies. Don’t be shy, come out on the middle scene whether you’re in your 20s or 30s. Let’s get it!”

All the single women were encouraged to go to the middle of the room so one of them could catch Karui’s bouquet. Ino happily grabbed Sakura, Tenten & Temari and placed them in the center of the crowd of women. She couldn’t stop giggling in excitement. Then even Naruto, was shocked when the entire crowd (from Kumo) started counting as they all knew what to say in such a weird fashion only for a song to start when Karui threw her flowers.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEARRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of all people, Sakura caught it. “Whoops..’’ said Ino when the room was completely silent.

Itachi who just got out of the bathroom and luckily caught the scene pointed his brother from across the room ‘’SASUKE, MARRY HER NOW!’’ he yelled.

Suddenly a frenzy broke out in the room and a large group of men (including Naruto and his friends) seize the raven before he could escape and started throwing the Uchiha in the air repeating the command of his older brother.

MARRY HER NOW! MARRY HER NOW!! MARRY HER NOW!!

If Shisui and Obito could, they would mop the floor by rolling in laughter. Meanwhile, Madara was collecting blackmailing material with his phone widely grinning.

“Ok Ok leave Sasuke alone and let him go! If not, he might destroy all of you guys with his Susano!” laughed Killer Bee interrupting the chaos with the stage microphone. Sasuke adjusted his clothes while standing back up and lightly smiled to hide the flaming radioactive anger inside consuming him. He never thought he would have to thank Killer Bee out of all people but first, he made a clear mental note to burn all of Itachi’s books when he got home. Sakura blushed at the situation not thinking things would go this far.

Since the mood was hyped, the DJ took the occasion to play the first song of the night. Quickly the lights were dimmed, and the song was danced with the marrying couple, it’s tradition. When the music started, the room turned into a nightclub in a snap of fingers and most people joined the dancefloor to dance to a choreography popular in Kumo, a classic for any reunion/celebration. Neji used the situation to finesse his way out of the venue.

Sasuke stayed longer than intended because Suigetsu wanted to stock on the quality grilled beef while Karin was slowly realizing that there were other attractive men in the world aside from her precious Sasuke.

This probably won't get many views here or Twitter, but I'm genuinely thinking of writing my own version of Naruto.?? The relationships won't change. So Hintata will still get together with Naruto .

I have ideas based on interviews with kishimoto. Like Team Gai and Team Kurenai being sand Ninja (yes, that means the Hyuga , Inuzuka, and Aburame clan won't be leaf ninja) . Had the idead since I read Gai in particular wasn't originally planned to be a leaf ninja. That he and Lee where made on the fly for the exams.

One thing to mention is that all teams have four students. This is to include the filler students like Sora , Yakumo, and Yagura (yes, gai had a student named Yagura)

Team Gaara also has new people from the chunin filler being Shira , Sen, and Yami.

But what happened to Kankuro and Termari? Well, dear reader, that will come in due time..

Here's the major changes I have in my head so far, starting with Team 7.

Naruto

He's still an orphane born of the 4th homage minato. He's maybe a year older than Sakura and sasuke . Due to flunking the graduate exams . He was adopted by the third Hokage. In this version He's younger and much more naive than the original. (More on hiruzen later)

Sakura

She was a girl who witnessed her parents constantly fight . They both struck at each over multiple times, and eventually, she was but in foster care. Not really being taught violence wasn't the way she'd often lash out at people, including her teachers. When being put into team 7, she was scared of kakashi after some of the stories she'd read about him. She actually sometimes tries to hit Sasuke , Naruto and Sai

Sasuke

He's still the same, only real difference being that he looks more like Fugaku . He's still broady and crabby even more so with Sai.

Sai

Joined Team 7 much earlier on and is one of the reasons Sasuke left the village. Being a spy for Danzo, he worked with orochimaru closely and slowly wormed his way into Sasukes mind convincing him to accept the sound fours offer.

Kakashi

Born of a Samurai clan, that later fled to the leaf and a Inuzuka / Hyuga (haven't decided) mother from the sand . He's much the same man from the series except he's got a secret pacht with the sand due to his mum being from there.

Team Asuma

Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji are pretty much the same. I really don't see any change Nessasary .

Asuma

The brother of the third hokage it inst until after the sand attacks the leaf he fall head over hills with kurenai yuhi of the sand . At first, he has no idea she's a sand Ninja. When he initially finds out her secret he's of course, horrified . Kurenai was from the village that tried to destroy his home and ultimately took his brother from him. During the time skip they do make up and eventually start dating in secret..

Sora

Same as filler exept hes the new five tails after it recarnated, he just joins the team early on . He's constantly worried because he doesn't fit in with Ino-Shika-Cho formation. Asuma tries to help him .

Team Kurenai

This is where the divations really begin .. as Said before Major clans now live in the sand village. Hyuga , inuzuka, and Aburame. Inspired by two things . The concept of gaara owing a dog and the interview stating Gai was from another village.

Hinata .

Apart from location a lot hasn't changed. She first met Naruto in the Exams and really liked his energy and will never give in. The thing that made her mind up was the fight with Neji. The Cousin she was going to be forced to Marry eventually. Naruto does the same shouting. But this time, her motivation is based on 'why does this stranger I've maybe met one or twice cheer me on?' She actually goes on the journey with Jiriya, Naruto , Sorra, Neji, and Gaara. (Three jinjurki and three people to sort out if anything goes wrong)

Kiba

He has a strong rivalry with his Twin Gaara and says he's going to beat him at being kazakage. Gaara doesn't really care but later on indulges him and challenges him to see who gets stronger during the time skip.

Shino

Same as canon just more dessert like bugs

Yakumo

Uses paintings much like Sai, but instead of physical . They trap people in genjutsu, which are much like in her filler episodes.

Team Gai

It's pretty much the same, except Lee now has two brothers. Yagura and Shira . Both whom he likes to to one up. Gai was 16 when he had a one night stand, resulting in Lee and his brothers. He never really knew their mum. He's regretted ever since. He has a major Crush on a certain Spikey haired leaf shinobi. Whose to say that man doesn't share the same feelings .

Team Gaara

The filler characters are the same

Baki is the sensei.

Gaara is the twin of Kiba, and he's pretty much the same as canon . The biggest difference is his dog. Don't hurt, or else shukaku will come out. After the Konoha Crush, he softens quite a bit and looks very different from how Naruto met him.

Temari and Kankuro are Sand Anbu like shinobi that are the older siblings of Kiba and Gaara. They resent Hana at first for caring about their brother, whose only seen as a weapon. It's not until rasa dues do the realise that Gaara, if taught correctly, can harness his powers, so they set up a meeting with the leaf village . As long as Gaara is safe and cared for, then could he train under Jyriya. Tsunde reluctantly agrees... that's all I have so far...

As the sun rises and the birds begin singing

You wake up to the sunshine gleaming into your bedroom window

You groan and sit up in your bed

Then you get up and get dressed for the day

After you tie your headband on your thigh and then you go to the kitchen to eat breakfast

after you eat breakfast you grab your lunch and walk out the door and go to orientation

As you sit down next to Hinata you look around the classroom

and you see Naruto?

“What are you doing here,Naruto?” Shikamaru asks

“This isn’t for dropouts, you can’t be here unless you graduate”He states

You hold in your laugh as you and Hinata continue to watch the scene in front of you

“Oh yeah do you see this, do you see this” Naruto asks annoyingly

“Open your eyes, Shikamaru, it’s a regulation headband” Naruto says sarcastically

“For once he’s not wrong” You mumble to yourself

“We’re gonna be training together” He says cheerfully

You just hope you two aren’t in the same group

“How do you like that?” He asks smiling

You turn to Hinata as the boys continue talking

“Are you excited that Naruto graduated?” You ask Hinata

“Yes! I-i mean no” She says blushing and looking down

“It’s so obvious you like him” You tell her

“Is it?” Hinata questions quickly

“Yes” You say telling her the truth

You immediately turn to the door as Sakura and Ino walk in together yelling “I’m first”

“I won again, Sakura” Ino says breathlessly

“Give it up i had to look back to see you” Sakura says breathing heavily

“My toe has at least a tenth of an inch ahead” Sakura continues

“Have you always been this delusional?” Ino asks

You watch as Sakura runs to Sasuke and shoves Naruto out of the way

“Good morning, Sasuke” She says nervously

You blink as Sasuke continues to stay silent

“Do you mind if I sit next to you?” She asks

Ino rushes over saying “Backoff, Forehead”

You chuckle at the insult

“I’m sitting next to Sasuke” Ino continues

“I was here first” Sakura argues

“I walked into the classroom before you did, everybody saw it” Ino argues back

“Dream on” Sakura scoffs

“Actually, I got here before either of you did” Another girl adds to argument

You start to tune them out because they’re giving you a headache

You eventually look back up and see Naruto squatting on Sasuke’s desk

“Naruto, Hey stop glaring at Sasuke” Sakura shouts

As Naruto glances at her then back at Sasuke

The (fan)girls start shout at Naruto

The guy sitting in front of them bumps Naruto and then Naruto and Sasuke kiss

You and Hinata look at the scene dumbfounded

“Now I won’t be Naruto’s first kiss” Hinata mumbles quietly

“This hardly counts as a first kiss” You turn to her and reply

“Your right” Hinata sighs

Then Iruka Sensei walks in

“As of today, You are all ninja” He begins

“To get here, you faced difficult trials and hardships” He says

But that’s nothing, what comes next will be far more difficult” He continues

“No your only genin—first level ninjas” He says

“All the genin will be grouped into squads” He says getting to interesting part

“Each squad will be led by a jounin—an elite ninja” He says almost done talking

Your eyes widened in excitement

“We want the teams to have a balance of strengths and abilities, so that’s how we set them up” He explains

“I will now announce the squads” He adds

“Squad seven : Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, And (Y/N L/N)”

“Aww your so lucky you’ll be with Naruto” Hinata says gloomily

“I guess, i just hope Ino won’t be mad cause i’m on a team with Sasuke” You say resting your head on your hand

“Next squad eight : Hinata Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, Shino Aburame” Iruka Sensei calls

“That’s definitely a group” You say sarcastically

“Yeah it is but Kiba and Shino are nice so I can’t complain” Hinata smiles

“Now squad ten : Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi” He calls the next squad

“Those are the squads” He finishes

“Iruka Sensei, Why does a great ninja like me have to be in the same group with a slug like Sasuke?” Naruto asks

“Sasuke had the best score of the graduating students” He states

“Naruto you had the worst score” Iruka Sensei adds

You feel kinda bad that Iruka Sensei exposed Naruto like that

“To create a balanced group we put the best student with the student” Iruka Sensei says doubling down

“Eek!” You say to yourself

“Just make sure you don’t get in my way, loser” Sasuke says rudely

“Hey, what did you say” Naruto shouts back

“Hard of hearing?” Sasuke says calmly

“Knock it off, Naruto sit down” Sakura reprimands

“Didn’t Sasuke start it?” You ask Sakura

“Yeah, Sasuke started it” Naruto replies

Sasuke looks up at you and furrows his brows

“Ahem, After lunch you will meet your new jounin teachers” Iruka Sensei informs the class

“Until then, class dismissed” Iruka Sensei finally says

“Sasuke, where are you?” Sakura calls

since you were all in the same group you invited Sakura to have lunch with to better get to know each other

“Why’d he go running off so fast anyway?” You ask

“I don’t know but thought we could have lunch together” Sakura says defeated

“Hey Sakura and (Y/N), since we’re in the same group, I was thinking we could have lunch together” Naruto says walking up to you both

“Why would we eat lunch with you?” Sakura ask rudely

“Yeah sure!” You say at the same time as Sakura

“Um..so can I” Naruto asks

“No” Sakura says rolling her eyes

“But we’re all in the same group, so y’know i just thought” Naruto explains

“Naruto, you’re annoying” Sakura says bluntly

“Sakura don’t say that, Naruto didn’t even do anything” You say defending Naruto

“Yeah, Yeah” Sakura says dismissively

Sakura then walks away looking for Sasuke

“Sorry about her” You apologize to Naruto

“No, it’s fine” Naruto smiles weakly and walks away

You sigh and catch up to Sakura

“Why’d you say that to Naruto?” You ask catching up with Sakura

“He is annoying” Sakura says frankly

“Yeah I understand why you think that but you didn’t have to say it like that” You say

“I guess you're right” Sakura admits

“Did you find Sasuke?” You ask stopping in front of a bench

“No” Sakura says looking at ground

“Maybe we should eat without him” You suggest

“Fine” Sakura says sitting down

You and Sakura both finish your food and just talking

“Oh, look it’s Sasuke” You say pointing at him

“O-oh Sasuke” Sakura blushes

Sasuke walks over to the both of you

“(Y/N) can you leave us alone for a bit” Sasuke asks

“Oh um yeah sure” You say

You get your bento then bow at them and walk away

You decide that you’ll just go find Naruto since he’s probably sitting alone

On your way to find him you past by a room and here muffled screams

You immediately stop and knock on the door

“Hello, is anybody there?” You ask before opening the door

The first you see is Sasuke tied up

“Sasuke?” You ask confused

You walk over to him and take the tape off of his mouth

“Can you untie me” He asks ignoring your confusion

“Sure” You say as you crouch down to untie him

As you start to untie him you ask “How are you with Sakura and here at the same time?”

“The Sasuke with Sakura is Naruto” He explains

“I’m still confused” You say indirectly asking him to explain more

“Naruto jumped through the window and he immediately attacked me so we began fighting” He recalls

“After i won i tied him up, but then he used a replication jutsu and then a lot of clones came out of nowhere” He says as you finish untying him

“And then he tied you up?” You ask

“Yeah” He says getting up

“Where are you going?” You ask getting up too

“To find Naruto” He states

“Oh bye then” You say nonchalantly

“Thanks bye the way”

“Huh, no problem Sasuke”

How far apart do you think the two classrooms are? Cuz if they’re right next to each other, imagine Sai, Sakura, and Sasuke having a hard time focusing on the lesson cuz they can hear the bad class fighting each other (again), and it gets to the point where Sai and Sakura are like… “I think Kiba is biting people again,” and Sasuke lets out a prolonged sigh cuz that means the rest of the volleyball team is gonna show up with bite marks.

Cute. And yes. Right next to each other. But the division is more based on grades like

Class 1 - Sakura, Sai, Sasuke, Shino and Hinata.

Class 2 - Shikamaru, Ino, Chouji, Kiba and Naruto.

IM CRYING, IM GLAD YOUR OPEN TO MY SHIKANARU CAUSE EVERYBODY I TRY AND TALK TO ABOUT THIS SHIP DOESNT CARE I actually am making a story i just got to get it all together. IMA SHARE IT WITH YOU WHEN I GOT IT TOGETHER it's really just me changing some events in the story and making it where Naruto and Shikamaru end up together. My plans are to have Naruto end up with Shikamaru, I love Sai/Sakura but Ino loves Sakura and i don't understand the Ino/Sai i'm still watching the anime it's just i never finished my run so i started reading the manga back to the part im at and im at ep 145 of shippuden i think? I'm not allowing myself to finish watching it until my story is caught up to where i am. Back to what i was saying I'm thinking of making it Ino/Sakura/Sai but it's more of "This is my girlfriend Sakura and her boyfriend Sai" my reasoning for this is when Ino witnessed Sasuke pull that guys arms out the socket as a kid it traumatized her, made her scared of him and Sai apparently looks like Sasuke, they were saying he looked like Sasuke a little bit in the anime if i remember correctly. it just creeps her out. I don't think Ino really ever liked Sasuke she just liked him cause that's what was cool when she was a kid so the whole rivalry with Sakura was just built on that idea. I was rewatching some scenes and i think, ok i gotta back track a little bit. I headcanon Ino's famliy is the most chill with same-sex stuff, so like if their daughter was gay they wouldn't mind. Ino puts this thinking in Sakura's head but Sakura's not as understanding as a kid and thinking it's weird cause different households (Not saying her parents were homophobic, it's just never been brought up to her before) Ino finally realizes she's in love with Sakura after she comes to her rescue when he hair gets cut that's the whole of what i wanted to say. So from that point on Ino likes Sakura, Sakura still has her feelings for Sasuke and Naruto's crush on Sakura has gone. I noticed he still asked her on dates but ultimately before and after Sasuke leaves it really hits Naruto that Sakura holds something special to Sasuke. Tsunade even notices it when she watches him leave the room to give them a moment after she heals him, Naruto walks out the room and says he wants her to look at Lee but his body language said "Oh im not needed here" and his feelings looked a little hurt. Another thing Neji developing a crush on Shikamaru before and during the timeskip because those two are the smartest in the group meaning they must work together alot even if they weren't in the same squad, Chunin Neji and Chunin Shikamaru being paired up alot is something i look at with shining eyes. But Neji, he notices Shikamaru's crush on Naruto so backs off, this leads him to back to Lee cause i'm a huge Neji/Lee shipper as well. As for Hinata i'm not throwing her away, just changing her motifs a little i guess? She has a crush on Naruto yes, after him being away for so long she has time to work on herself and find herself more. She does like him but it isn't what's going to make her happy. It isn't because i don't like Naruto/Hinata it's cute it's alright but it doesn't make sense even if i haven't seen the movies or episodes that show it. I feel like Hinata needs to do some self reflecting. Naruto is a huge inspiration to her, she's watched him train, become who he is but those two with a family together isn't something i can see happening even if it canonly happened, when i first got into this i didn't see it coming. So in my story Hinata is happy living her best life being single, watching her friends be happy together has brought her so much peace, even watching Naruto be happy with Shikamaru. (I wanna plan a talk she has with Shikamaru about his crush on Naruto and them discussing their feelings about Naruto so Shikamaru doesn't feel like he just took Naruto from her since from his point of view it looks like she liked him first but Shikamaru's had a crush on Naruto since he meet him, Shikamaru met Naruto first. ) I also have an idea of Hinata just wanting to be a single mother in Boruto, and Naruto/Shikamaru adopting and teaching a orphan both their Jutsu's turbsdfuvbhrsu IT'LL BE SO CUTE

I feel pretty neutral about Sai/Ino, not because I think they are madly in love or anything but in Boruto I like the dynamic I saw of them, plus inojin is my favorite kid so I'm biased here… But I'm also super down for a Sai/Sakura/Ino, with mostly Sakura being the bridge between them!!!

For me, Ino would be a lesbian who had to deal with a lot of compulsory heterosexuality, so she forced herself to have a crush on Sasuke when they were kids because that's just what girls are supposed to do, but after a small breakdown after a fight with sakura she talks to her parents and surprisingly it's them that tell her that she might have a crush on her and they tell her that it's okay if she feels that way and that there is nothing wrong with her.

I think it's pretty accurate that Sakura would be a little reluctant to accept that, but eventually, she does understand that she's bisexual and things become a little easier for her to figure out what she wants and who she wants to be! [Discovering non-monogamy/polyamory is a whole other can of worms so I'm not gonna get into that here unless you want me to!!]

I'M SO GLAD YOU BROUGHT UP NEJI AND SHIKAMARU. Okay I know they're not your main pairing but a few years ago I read a fic of them that to this day has a place in my brain, I will leave linked it here if you're interested

But yes, for our shikanaru endgame purpose, Neji is very perceptive so he kind of always knew he never really had a chance here, he backs off, and eventually, his feelings for someone else grow which is how we get to neji/lee!!

Also thank you for the fic rec, I'll try to give it a read soon <3 Sasuke and suigetsu is such an interesting ship, I never got into them fully but their dynamic is so fun!

I like your take on Hinata, for me, i ship her with Kiba, he was so in love with her it's crazy, I don't know if you noticed the signs but they would have so much potential, honestly a throuple with shino would work too. But I also really like your take on her talking it out with shikamaru and realizing that her feelings for Naruto lean more toward admiration than actual romantic love, would love for her to have a happy life, would also really adore seeing her become the head of the Hyuuga clan and start making the changes Naruto promised Neji he would do it (and he never actually did it)!!

“hi, welcome in! do you have an appointment with us today?”

he sighs as he slips into the chair behind him.

sakura’s lucky he loves her.

“I really needed this today. this week has been so stressful.” he hears the pinkette before he sees her, coming into view with her instructor trailing behind her. naruto huffs and rises to his feet.

and then he sees her.

“I’m glad. you did well today.” a gentle voice that pairs with the most beautiful face he has ever seen. soft features, ivory skin, framed by long, sleek black hair that is pulled back into a ponytail.

ino leads the group, walking on her toes. just in the next room, they can hear the boys shouting and cursing; an uproar of name calling and playful threats with evident homoerotic undertones. they see a fighter pulled up on the tv, half of them standing while the other half remain seated. shikamaru stands by the couch with his arms folded across his chest; chouji and kiba are seated, leaned forward and animated — with snacks.

naruto and sasuke are standing, game controllers held tightly in grip. no wonder they’re shouting. naruto versus sasuke — a showdown for the generations.

karui walks up behind chouji and leans over on the couch, smoothing her hands over his broad shoulders. at the feel of her presence returning, chouji leans back so she doesn’t have to strain herself too much.

ino slips in beside shikamaru and cannot wait any longer. she puts an elbow on his shoulder and her free hand on her hip, smirking up at him expectantly.

he turns. “hey! what the hell?”

“ino?” that is chouji. “what a minute…” he looks up now, he and shikamaru finally aware of their surroundings. the group of women burst into a fit of cackles, waving shamelessly, sticking out their tongues; varying responses.

“what the hell are you guys doing here?” kiba protests. “this is supposed to be—” he then spots his childhood friend, “hinata? you too? c’mon!”

“hinata?” and that was naruto.

“hi,” the woman in question waves feebly, now meeting the eager eyes of her boyfriend. a moment’s distraction, and then —

“I win,” sasuke smirks with finality.

“FUCK ME.”

and sits the pinkette in question, one leg crossed in front of the other as she appraises her friend, almost akin to a parent catching their child sneaking back in the house past curfew. “keep your voice down! you wanna wake up the whole house?”

fuu does not like the look on her friend’s face right now. her choice of words in this moment should be coming off more stern than how she is presenting it; almost as if she’s trying to hold back a hidden satisfaction. almost as if, she might as well have said, yes, fuu. wake up the whole house. let everyone see you make a fool of yourself. I’ve got my popcorn ready!

fuu can’t believe she got caught. twice.

first was with ten — and technically speaking, ten found out on her own — but fuu cannot come up with any reasonable excuse to lie to sakura, even as she desperately grasps for any remaining straw she has left. there is none. 

especially when she was clearly wearing the man’s clothes from last night.

a universal sign of clearly you’ve been fuckin’.

“where’s, uh…where’s kakashi?” fuu asks, hoping to divert her attention for a little longer. she takes another look around herself, half-expecting to see him pop up from around the corner and go, yo, fuu-chan! want a sandwich? turkey’s your favorite, yeah?

What a drag…

For everyone, but Shikamaru, it seemed that life happened as it should.  You turn 14, you display your secondary gender, and then get lumped into nice, pretty categories.  Ino, to no one’s surprise was an alpha.  It fits rather well with Sakura’s secondary gender: Omega.  And to no one’s surprise, the two were one of those special cases of ‘fated mates.’  The kind where as soon as they touched, it was instantaneous.  They fit, and it was beautiful.

Choji became a beta.  Calm, sweet Choji was balance and everyone of the Ino-Shika-Trio expected Shikamaru to become an omega.  And yet, nothing happened.  Two weeks after his 14th birthday, Shikamaru was still just a teenage boy who preferred looking at the clouds and was too smart for his own good.  There were jokes of course.  ‘Shikamaru is so lazy, that’s why he hasn’t expressed yet,’  It might have been funny if it hadn’t caused concern in his own parents.  

A month after his birthday, Shikamaru found himself in a private room at the hospital with both the Hokage and her apprentice.  He couldn’t look at Sakura, whose bright, green eyes shined at him with pity.  At least Tsunade seemed to hold some air of professionalism.

“It’s rare, but there are some cases in which someone never expresses.”  She said, her blond brow furrowed in concentration.  The rest of the room fell into silence.  “It happens often enough that they’re filed as a neutral.”  Another pause as Tsunade looked around the room.  “It’s a benefit for shinobi.  Their biology doesn’t plot against them and they’re not influenced by hormones. It’s not a bad thing, Shikamaru.  At least you won’t have to buy scent blockers.”“Of course, Hokage-Sama, Thank you,” Shikamaru replied thickly and pushed himself off of the bed.  No one really stopped him as he left the room, though he knew his parents and the Hokage would continue to talk.  Before he reached the stairs, he felt a smaller hand around his wrist.  He didn’t turn.  Her chakra signature was familiar but she was foreign enough that she didn’t know he was on the verge of breaking.

“It’s far less troublesome this way, Sakura, trust me.  This is the best I could hope for,” he laughed and felt the light squeeze on his wrist.  “Being driven by hormones would cut into my cloud watching time.”

“Okay Shikamaru.  Ino and I are going to eat barbecue later.  You should join us.  I think Choji will be there.”

“Yea, okay,” he shrugged and she finally let him go.  He didn’t see them that night and his friends accepted the excuse that he fell asleep.

Contrary to what anyone else would say, Naruto knew that Shikamaru Nara was going to be an important person in his life for a long time. Afterall, it had been Shikamaru and Choji who were the first to treat him as a friend. At first, Naruto hadn’t been sure what to think of the lazy boy who complained more than even the adults who hated him, but after a while, he came to realize that Shikamaru wasn’t complaining about circumstances, but how he felt about them. He’d realized it during the disaster of his first chunin exams when Shikamaru, Sakura, Pakkun and he chased after Sasuke, when Shikamaru had told them neither of them were anything special and it would have to be him.

“The Shadow Jutsus were originally delay tactics anyway.” He had said and it took years for Naruto to realize what that had meant at the time. Shikamaru hadn’t expected to live past that day, but to go after Sasuke, to help his friends, he had been willing to do whatever it took. Luckily, Asuma had been there that day to save him, something Naruto would only be grateful for after they got Sasuke back to the village, but then, Sasuke was taken and Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba and Neji were once again by his side and Shikamaru was leading.

Then Naruto had left for three years, presented as an Alpha and he didn’t get a chance to look at his friend for a while. And then, they had gone after Sasuke again only for the blond to realize that his Rival, His Best Friend, His Mate, was also an alpha and destined to be his. How could he focus on Shikamaru when Sasuke was meant to be his?

It had been when his mentor, Jaraiya, had been killed that Naruto found reason to look deeper at the Shadow-user. Of all of the people who had attempted to give him a pep-talk to cheer him up, it had been the silence that Shikamaru brought with him that spoke the loudest. A kindred spirit, someone who had felt exactly what he had felt, and in the same way. Shikamaru’s sensei and mentor had been taken from him only months prior and the Nara just knew what he needed, it seemed. Even the metaphorical kick after they had spoken to Kurenai helped spur him into moving on. Yes, he was still sad over Jiraiya. Yes, he still mourned him, but knowing that his sensei had given him building blocks for the future made it feel like he was still there with him.

Watching Shikamaru after that had begun to let Naruto read him. The Nara genius had always held his emotions close to his chest, adopting bland expressions only tainted with boredom most of the time. He rarely got angry, his smiles seemed few and far in between, and if it required effort, Shikamaru was likely not to be found. Lazy, they had all said, including Naruto. Emotionless was another term, and Naruto might have agreed had he not been looking.

For the longest time, everyone believed Shikamaru to be a beta. It wouldn’t be until later that Naruto found out that only a select few knew differently. Shikamaru didn’t give off emotional scents because he didn’t have a secondary gender or the pheromones that everyone else did. A neutral, Shikamaru had informed him one evening with a small shrug. His organs didn’t work the way everyone else’s did because he had both Alpha and Omega. They cancelled each other out. He could be happy, angry, or sad and no one would ever know unless he displayed them on his face and the Nara never portrayed anything but boredom, not unless you were looking. Naruto finally did. He noticed the softening of his eyes when he fondly called him an idiot, or when Naruto did something to make everyone else laugh. Naruto noticed the clench in Shikamaru’s jaw when someone insulted one of his friends, and he noticed the downward tilt of his lips when someone brought up Asuma or Shikaku. They were subtle, but they were there, and Naruto found himself looking for those just to know what the genius was thinking.

Naruto knew Shikamaru was going to be an important person in his life, but he didn’t know he was going to fall in love with the shadow user. It wasn’t instantaneous and Naruto wasn’t sure when his feelings went from friendship to something deeper, but by the time he finally realized he enjoyed those small smiles, the warmth he felt in the other man’s presence and the conversations that were both teasing and informational, he was head over heels.

For Sasuke, caring about anything other than getting power and revenge didn’t matter until after the war. Orochimaru had been his path and even when he’d run into Naruto again, he didn’t care that the part of his soul that he had buried with everything else called out to the blond. When the blond wouldn’t give up, and Sasuke found himself dying on a battlefield with his mate by his side, The Last Uchiha realized he might have made some mistakes. If it hadn’t been for Sakura, he never would have been able to make things right.

Sasuke started by letting himself be imprisoned in Konoha. He even let his eyes be covered and his body bound though he had no desire to be too far from his mate at this time. It was then that he took notice of one Shikamaru Nara.

It was the smell of cigarette smoke that alerted Sasuke that someone was in the cell with him. The Uchiha’s head raised in response, even as he took a deeper breath. Odd… There were no other defining characteristics other than that smell.  It was…unnerving.

“They’re letting you out today.”  The voice was soft, spoken just loud enough to be heard. It prickled in familiarity, but the Uchiha couldn’t place it until one side of his bandages was removed. “I want you to turn on your Sharingan for this because you’re not going to forget my face.” The pineapple hair was as telling as his lazy stance. Nara. Sasuke remembered one being in his class. Shikamaru. The teenager in front of him was about his age.

In school, Sasuke had no use for the Nara Heir. He was lazy and slept in class. How the man managed to become a ninja and the first chunin in his class was beyond him. Sure, the guy was smart, but his taijutsu needed work and his chakra reserves were low. Intelligence didn’t make a ninja, or at least that was what Sasuke had thought until he heard of the Nara killing the immortal Akatsuki member. It wasn’t until his one exposed eye shifted to red that he finally understood how dangerous Shikamaru was.

Shadows danced in what little light was in his prison, yet Sasuke’s attention was focused solely on the teenager in front of him. At first glance, it was hard to believe this was a threat. Shikamaru seemed bored with his hands thrust deep into his pockets, his body leaning against the only exit, and his feet crossed at the ankles. He didn’t seem prepared to fight but the intensity in his gaze seemed to take Sasuke apart piece by piece. Finally, Shikamaru broke the silence between them, the intensity of his soft voice breaking into the tension like a sharpened kunai.

“You’re going to be on your best behavior when you get out of here. Don’t talk-” he barked, causing Sasuke to snap his mouth closed, and finally he moved. The brunette’s gait was that of a predator as he stepped closer to him, the threat imminent though as Shikamaru continued to talk, the Uchiha could detect a waver in his tone. “You’re not going to hurt him again. If you do, you won’t live long enough for the bond to burn you alive.” 

Sasuke inhaled sharply and for once believed that this man would be capable of finding a way of beating him. His sharingan captured the Nara’s resolve as clearly as it captured his face.  “You love him, too.” The wave of desperation in Shikamaru’s told him that.

“Impossible. I’m incapable of it, but he is the future of the Hidden Leaf, and I made a vow to him.”“What do you mean incapable of love? If you were incapable, you wouldn’t-”

“Do not mistake loyalty for love, Uchiha. Enjoy your freedom.”

3 years later

“You’re staring again, Dobe.” Naruto blinked away, feeling a flush on his cheeks that he had been caught.

“Maa, Maa Sasuke, Sakura’s all grown up, don’t you think? She looks so pretty.” In fact, their pink-haired teammate looked beautiful in her wedding dress with her alpha, Ino waiting for her at the altar.

“We both know you’re not staring at Sakura. Or Ino,” Sasuke quickly added when it looked like his mate was going to argue. Naruto followed Sasuke’s gaze to the man to the right of Ino. Shikamaru Nara hadn’t grown much in the last three years. His face had become more angular with the loss of baby fat and his hair had gotten longer, but Naruto had grown taller than him, as had Sasuke. However, despite the fact that Naruto could not take his eyes off of Shikamaru, the Nara Head had a different blond on his arm. Temari of the Sand had followed him to the Land of Silence six months ago and the two had been dating ever since. 

“You know it’s not abnormal for two alpha mates to find someone who balances them out, Naruto.” It was a talk they had had before but it had come too late for either of them to make a move on the Nara.

“It is when he’s already dating someone, and he’s not an omega. What if it happens again? What if I-”

“What if you never try?” Naruto’s mouth clicked shut, his blue eyes traveling from Shikamaru to Sasuke.  Onyx met his and the blond alpha huffed, his lips forming into a pout. “Doesn’t have to be an omega, Dobe. Just needs to balance us out.”

“You barely know him. What if I like him, but you don’t?”

“We could play the what if game all day, Naruto.” “He’s still with Temari.”

“And did you smell her earlier when you went to say hi? She’s full of anxiety and we can both smell that she’s been mated. The only one who can’t is Shikamaru, though with the looks he’s sending her, she’s going to spill soon.”

Naruto sighed and looked down because he knew Sasuke was right. From the moment Temari had stepped into the wedding reception, Naruto had known. Hell, everyone had known judging by the looks that were sent her way. She belonged to someone, and it wasn’t Shikamaru. He wanted to hurt her for what she was going to do to him.

“Hey,” fingers snapped in front of his eyes and pulled his attention back to his mate. “You’re growling out loud. Do you really think that’s a reaction for a friend?” Sasuke turned back to watch the Nara and inclined his head. “He’s very protective of you, you know. He threatened me when I was cuffed in T & I.” The blond alpha raised a brow, waiting for Sasuke to go on. “Said if I tried to kill you again, he’d kill me and you know what? I believed him. If anyone could find a way, it’s him. ‘I’ve kind of wanted to get to know him ever since.” “I wouldn’t let him hurt you.” “No, probably not, but I have no doubt he could. We should try. With him, I mean. I think he might be our missing part.”

“What makes you say that?”

“Because ever since you told me about him, and he threatened me, I can’t help but imagine how much I want to see you hold him, how much I want to come home from a mission to see you two curled up on the couch or in bed together.”

Naruto wasn’t sure what to say because he wanted that too. “Okay, so we’re both wanting this then? With him? If he lets us.”  Sasuke inclined his head before nodding. 

Naruto looked back to Shikamaru who stood next to Temari and smiled. Second chances were few and far in between in their world, but he wasn’t going to take this one for granted. Chapter 2

Ep 41:

-puppetry has gotta be one of my favorite ninja techniques so far ngl

-again, Sakura has a far more compelling relationship with Ino than she does with fuckass Sasuke

-I think it’s funny that Lee just drifted over to hang out with Kakashi and Naruto

-ngl Ino losing her hold on Sakura was COMPLETE bullshit, Ino absolutely should have won that match

-ngl I’m really annoyed by the results of this match

-but anyways Gai and Lee cheering for Tenten was wholesome. Team Gai supremacy

Ep 43:

-okay Temari’s voice isn’t as bad as I initially thought it was

-rip Tenten, I get that they have to set up the threat of the Sand Siblings but Tenten deserved a little more of a fair fight rather than just being fodder for Temari to take down

-but also holy shit Temari’s takedown was fucking brutal

-Lee I fucking love you

-I also kinda love Ino now

-Naruto istg you better not beat up Kiba’s dog

Ep 44:

-not the first time I’ve noticed them but I like Kiba’s fangs

-I don’t really like Kiba’s voice

-if I was Naruto I would have forfeited the match immediately, I’m not gonna fucking fight a puppy

-ah yes the greatest jutsu of all, Furry jutsu

-Naruto kinda wasted his shot by biting Kiba while disguised as Akamaru, he should have tried to do more damage and punch Kiba in the face or something

-I love how everyone was commenting on how Naruto’s jutsu usage was more impressive than they thought and meanwhile Neji’s just like “I can’t believe he bit his opponent”

-why isn’t everyone just taking food pills during this exam if they’re so useful

-Kiba honey I hate to break it to you but you are not, in fact, the main character of Naruto

-respectfully both Naruto and Kiba should never be Hokage, it should OBVIOUSLY be Lee

Ep 45:

-NOOOO AKAMARU BBY

-I’m not gonna lie I don’t really believe Naruto has the chakra control and intelligence at this point in the series to pull off the trick he does with the double transformation jutsu

-I find it both amusing and annoying that Kiba (and also Shikamaru and Choji) calls Naruto “kid”. Like y’all are the same age lmao

- yeah no same as Ino, Kiba kindaaaa should have won. I’m more okay with this outcome than the Ino-Sakura result because Naruto’s the MC so he’s obviously going to win, but that fart was utter bullshit

-also I get that Kiba probably would have wrecked the clones with his human drill shit but why didn’t Naruto just try spamming shadow clones from the beginning

Ep 46:

-Team 8’s dynamic intrigues me. I want to see more of them

-why was ANYONE surprised that Hinata and Neji are related. Like were their eyes not a dead fucking giveaway???

-Kurenai is so mother

-anyways fuck Hinata’s dad

-between this match and the Sakura-Ino match, why did no one tell Naruto to not interrupt the matches

-okay so this confirms that Team 8 is the Konoha team that I would LEAST want to fight, purely because my options are (a) getting my chakra devoured by a swarm of bugs, (b) getting mauled by the human equivalent of Drill Run, or (c) suffering organ failure. Yeah no I’d rather get punched or stabbed by the other teams, thank you very much

Ep 47:

-with his level of precision and the Byakugan, Neji should quit the whole ninja thing and go be a doctor

-oh Naruto you sweet oblivious child

-I am absolutely not sold on Naruto and Hinata as a ship yet btw

-ngl if I was the proctor I would have yelled at Naruto to shut up and stop interrupting the matches

-Lee and Gai continue to be the best duo in this entire fucking show

Ep 48:

-I’ve heard that Gaara vs Lee is amazing, so I’m going in with high expectations

-Gaara is so fucking small next to his siblings

-Lee is so goddamn cute. I love my son

-you know you’re terrifying when SHINO is afraid of you

-Lee is so happy that he gets to go apeshit lmao

-the moment when the leg weights drop was amazing

-also it’s the first time we see Gaara look surprised and off-guard, which really hammers home just how insane Lee is

-I’ve seen it before but the effect of Gaara’s face cracking is so cool

-also it’s funny that Kankuro has fully just joined the Konoha peanut gallery for this match

Ep 49:

-welp Gaara’s gone completely off the rails

-Lee is officially my favorite character rn and it’s not even close

-if Lee can only do taijutsu, how did he pass the academy test and become a genin? I mean maybe it was a Naruto type of situation where other shit happened, but he wouldn’t have been able to pass the test normally, right?

-Leeeeee my silly badass son I love you so much. Peak character of all time

-again, the way Gai says “kaKAshi” cracks me up

-so like is Gai not gonna get in trouble with the ninja government for teaching Lee forbidden jutsus? Like Lee is very blatantly using the Primary Lotus and Hidden Lotus in a government-run exam and it’s pretty obvious who would have taught him those

Ep 50:

-holy shit Lee is fully just going Super Saiyan

-even Neji is shook by Lee lmao

-NOOOO LEE

-Gai stepping in and the background music and noises cutting out was such a good moment

-Gai is legit Lee’s dad and I’m so here for it

-Lee has Naruto solidly beaten for the title of “most tenacious motherfucker in the show”

-that moment with Gai hugging Lee’s unconscious body was so good, my heartttttt 😭

-the medic telling Gai that Lee will never fight again would be much more heartbreaking if I didn’t know that he’s literally fine later on

-the strings instrumental that plays after Lee’s defeat is so good
