My Sun, My Dear

According to traditions, the period of a solar eclipse is considered most unfortunate. It is said that no good can be done in a time deprived of the Sun. Until the rays of the Suryadeva reach the Earth for the second time that day, no dharmika deed should be done.

But what if the Sun is sure to never return?

What if, just what if, there will be no second time for the rays to strike the Earth.

Such an eclipse had shadowed the life of the eldest Kaurav prince, Duryodhana. It was close to dusk on the 17th day of the War of Kurukshetra. Duryodhana had lost his brothers —his ninety nine brothers— to a fruitless war. He had lost his family, his relatives and in the end, his teacher too. Grief sagged his heart every time he lifted a weapon.

But warriors do not wait to grieve. Grief can stop a man, not an army. Not the enemy.

Karna took Drona's place as the Commander in Chief of Duryodhana's army. So for as long as Suryen-dhanya Karna, blessed by the Sun itself, was beside him, who could defeat the Kuru prince?

Or so he thought.

The last rays of the sun were disappearing from the battlefield. As tradition wills it, every warrior had put away his weapons. Except Gandivdhari Arjuna.

For as long as he stayed alive, Duryodhana never forgot the sound of the bow string let loose. The arrow cutting through the air in the direction of Karna. The last ray of the sun glinting off of the tip of the arrow and briefly blinding everyone.

A moment later, when Duryodhana opened his eyes, the sun was no longer.

A blue sheet of dusk had settled over the battlefield as far as the eye could see. He searched the periphery of his vision for his beloved mitra. What could an arrow do to the man who wears the armor of Suryadeva himself.

He remembered the next few moments in pieces. Karna falling from his chariot. The charioteer speeding off without him. Karna in the dirt. Karna with Arjuna's arrow.

Karna with Arjuna's arrow lodged in his throat.

Karna lying still in the dirt.

Karna.

A scream ripped itself out of Duryodhana's throat, thunderous and raw as an impeding storm. The entire battlefield turned to stare as the Kuru prince mounted the nearest horse and galloped to the fallen body.

The Pandavas surrounded Karna, shocked to see their own mother weeping with his head in her lap. Arjuna's charioteer, Krishna, explained to them what adharma they had just committed, and why not to blame themselves for it. They did not weep. Even after killing their own blood, they did not weep.

Arjuna lowered his head in shame. Duryodhana wanted to cut it off.

By the time he reached Karna, the Pandavas had blocked him from his view. Yudhisthir had seen him approaching and was now standing in his way.

"Step aside, Yudhisthir," Duryodhana rasped, mounting off his horse.

"No."

He turned his full glare on him; furious, bloodshot eyes, stinging with tears. "I need to see him."

"You may not, bhrata Suyodhana. It is dusk, you should return with your army."

For one last time, Duryodhana tightened his grip over his gadaa. If they wouldn't give him Karna's body, he would fight for it. He was Duryodhana's before he was ever a brother to these sorry sobs.

"Keep your arms down, maharathi," Krishna's voice echoed off the air itself. "It is adharma to raise a weapon, for the Sun is no longer."

The Sun is no longer.

This was the exact moment Duryodhana remembered that his heart shattered. The gadaa slipped from his fingers.

He could see a sliver of Karna's body hidden in the crowd of the Pandavas' sena. Such a small army had never before seemed to infinitely vast to Duryodhana. He, raised with hundred brothers himself and not once feeling crowded, saw the bodies hiding Karna's from him and saw for the first time in his life a crowd so vast he couldn't see his path.

Hundred brothers, one by one each lost to these Pandavas. And Duryodhana never looked back to see who burned their pyre. But this, this he couldn't allow. He would sooner let them take his life than Karna.

Slowly, with the image of Karna's corpse burned into his eyelids, Duryodhana fell to his knees.

All across the ranbhoomi, not a single man dared to draw a breath. Their eyes stayed fixated on their King as he lowered his head and...

Joined his hands.

When he spoke, the ache in his voice rang through the battlefield. "Brother, they call you dharmaraja because you are said to value dharma before anything else. But I am a fool, I- I never cared for what is dharma and adharma. For my entire life I have looked for ways to make you inferior to me, but it was always I who was inferior."

The Pandavas looked at each other in shock. They had not expected him to kneel, let alone plead.

"Be the righteous King you were always meant to be, Dharmaraja, but grant me this one thing. Give me my mi-tra. That is- That is all I ask of you. If not your brother, then as a supplicant." Even the breaks in his voice echoed. His tears wet the Earth below him.

"Let him have it, Dharmaraja."

Yudhisthir looked at Krishna, as if expecting him to come to his senses. "But he is our brother, Vasudeva. We are the ones who shall perform his last rites by dharma."

Duryodhana opened his mouth to speak, but Krishna spoke before him. "What kind of brother, Dharmaraja? The one you didn't even know about this morning? The one you were preparing to kill for days? The one you called sutaputra?"

If he wasn't wrecked inside with misery, Duryodhana might have enjoyed the shame on Yudhisthir's face. But all he felt was hope.

"Let him have Angaraja's body. It is he who deserves to perform his last rites, for they loved each other over karma and dharma. It is hard to see the one who hates you as someone capable of love, but is it fair to deny him his love, Dharmaraja?"

Yudhisthir only looked at his pleading brother.

A funeral pyre was to be prepared for Karna after the Pandavas left. Duryodhana's army gathered wood and oil, someone stitched a shroud out of the dead warriors' clothes, nobody dared to disturb the grieving prince.

Karna. Karna. Karna. He chanted till it was not a name but the sound of his tears falling on his armor. It was not a word but aching devotion.

He lifted a bloody hand to cup Karna's cheek. The warmth should have gone out of it long ago, but he was Suryaputra. He burned until there was nothing left to burn but his body.

He still couldn't wrap his head around the truth in his grief. Karna －brilliant, quick-witted, unyielding Karna－ was dead.

He clutched the body in his arms. The body that no longer belonged to his lover. A shadow. A torture.

Karna. Karna. Karna.

His Radheya. His Angaraja. His Karna. His Priye. His Sun.

Duryodhana felt as though all the light had gone out of his life. He carries the embers of it to the pyre, lays him down as gently as one would to a newborn instead of a corpse.

With shaking hands, Duryodhana carried the fire and lit the funeral pyre. He couldn't bear to watch as flames engulfed his beloved and turned his head to the sky. The scream that followed was a living thing, clawing its way out of his throat.

For the last time in forever, his lover burned as bright as the Sun.

And the smoke swirled in the night sky, carrying the prince to a land of eternal eclipse.

"it-it's so sad! she had to g-go back home, and he was sooo.... sad!" you rubbed his ears as you pursed your lips together, trying your best not to laugh at the amusing sight you were seeing.

kitty hybrid! san peers up at you with sad eyes, more tears spilling out of his eyes as he sobbed quietly, "n-no, sannie! baby, you're just- you're so adorable..." you smush his cheeks together before pecking all over his face.

kitty hybrid! san pushed you away, whining. "n-no, stop! this is supposed to be sad...! you're so evil... you shouldn't be smiling,,, wahhhh..." he began sobbing upon seeing the main leads get back together in the end, the movie ending with a true love's kiss.

kitty hybrid! san flops back into the couch as he sobbed into his hands loudly. "waahhh! they-they got back together.... even though his parents refused to!" the kitten kicked his feet in the air as he shook left and right. you almost burst out laughing at his childish behaviour.

you snorted as kitty hybrid! sangot up and glared at you with glossy eyes, "you're laughing? are you laughing at me right now!?" you cooed at the angry expression he was trying to maintain, cupping his cheeks in your hands.

"i hate you..." kitty hybrid! san pouted as you only smiled happily at the boy, "i know... i know... i love you too, baby."

What I want to get Eve is a whole new wardrobe, she has terrible taste in clothes and also a mansion and also a very nice car, she deserves all of those things, but if I ask, it is all 'no, Villanelle, you cannot do private murder for hire because you want a mansion' and I try to explain that it is a mansion for her! But it is Eve, so she never listens.

What I did get her is a very nice coat. It is very warm, and expensive and she looks great in it. Also it mostly stops her stealing my coats, though somehow not all the time? She says she likes wearing them, which is very cute but she does spill things on them, she is a little clumsy. Still, I mostly do not mind.

The best thing that Eve could get me is illegal, so I probably should not explain it in great detail here, but you know, right? It involves Eve and a knife and some person and a great deal of blood. I am also there. It is very romantic. We kiss so much afterwards.

She did get me something very nice, though! We are going to a spa together, we will do face masks and massages and everything. Eve keeps complaining about it even though she organized it, she says she knew I would like it if we did something as a couple, but that she's 'not really a spa person'. I do not mind, the complaining is very cute.

Also, she said 'as a couple' and I really liked that.

Chapter 1:Bro is lowkey wild for that

Chakotay was extremely enraged as he watched Tuvix step off the transporter pad. “GRRRRR!!!” he exclaimed. “First, our helmsman and captain become lizards, and now our security officer and lunch lady became one person!!!.”

“Erm…ackshully,” Tuvix said, “Neelix is not a female, and he does a lot more than prepare lunch.”

Chakotay hissed. “I DID NOT ASK FOR YOUR OPINION.” He proceeded to throw Tuvix against the wall.

“Not nice, man.” Tuvix said. “I was like, just born. Can’t you cut me a break?”

“NOOOOO!!!! GRRRRRR!!!!”

Kes nonchalantly entered the transporter room. She looked at Tuvix and started blushing. He’s such a rizzler, She thought.

“ARGGHHH YOU STUPID FURRY!!!” Chakotay yelled at Tuvix.

“Erm, what the sigma are you doing?” Kes asked.

Chakotay turned around and realized she was there. He started blushing kawaii like a schoolgirl in an anime. “Erm, I was just chatting with my new friend.”

Kes looked at him in disbelief. “Bro stfu you’re not an alpha. Also The Doctor asked me to take ermmmm….Neebok to sick bay.”

“Erm…ackshully, my name is Tuvix; a combination of the names of my fathers.”

“Wait,” Kes said. “TUVOK AND NEELIX ARE MARRIED!? AND THEY HAVE A CHILD!?”

“Um no,” Tuvix exclaimed in a rather annoyed tone. “I am a unique person with the combined DNA, knowledge, and memories of Tuvok and Neelix. I call them my fathers because they did create me using their DNA, so it would only be logical to do so.”

“Just put the fries in the bag, bro.” Kes said, “It’s time to go to sick bay.”

Chapter 2: wtf moment💀

As soon as the turbo lift doors closed Kes started moaning violently and Tuvix was lowkey a traumatized mf at this point. “Hrrrnnbhhhfggggggg.” Kes mumbled. “Finally, someone lowkey chill as Tuvok, and as much skibidi rizz as my alpha Neelix.”

“Erm,” said Tuvix, “I’ll have you know that I have only been living for about twenty minutes and I am too young to lose my virginity.”

Kes looked at Tuvix in a sarcastic way. “Bro lowkey forgot I’m one year old. Imagine, could never be me.”

Tuvix was concerned. “So you’re telling me you’re not a virgin?”

“Erm, I thought you said you have the combined memories of Tuvok and Neelix.” Kes bombastic side eyed.

Kes didn’t care so she continued moaning violently. I need to get him pregnant. She thought.

Finally, the turbo lift doors opened and B’elanna Torres was standing outside.

“Oh, skibidi!” Kes said in a frustrated tone indeed. “I forgot to halt the doors. No wonder it was hard to looksmaxx.”

B’elanna nonchalantly looked at Kes, then at Tuvix. “Who tf are you!?” She asked him.

“I’m Tuvix.” he said.

“Bruh.” B’elanna exclaimed and then she proceeded to enter the turbo lift.

“Whoa buddy, who do think you are?” Kes said in a preppy ahh way. She pushed her.

“Chat, aren’t you going to sick bay with this beta?” B’elannna growled. “Cuz sick bays on this deck, y’know.”

Kes hissed. “HOW DARE YOU CALL MY ALPHA SIGMA DISCORD KITTEN A BETA!!!!” B’elanna rolled her eyes and yeeted Tuvix and Kes into sick bay. B’elanna barked at them to make sure they didn’t come back into the turbo lift.

Chapter 3: Tuvix meets lizard Janeway

Tuvix was rather annoyed indeed that Kes kept touching him. Not as annoyed as The Doctor when he entered the room.

“Oh,” said Kes, “Hi, doctor.” Tuvix could see her blushing like Chakotay did earlier. Bruh, he thought. Why is blud like this? “This is my alpha, Tuvix. Tuvok and Neelix got in a transporter accident.”

“Argghhh,” said The Doctor. “No one ever tells me what’s going on around here.”

Suddenly, Tuvix’s ears bled. “ERMMM!!!! WHAT IN THE ACKSHULLY IS THAT SONG!?”

The Doctor was super pissed. “I’ll have you know that this is my favorite song.” He said angrily. He sang, “FROM THE SCREEN TO THE RING TO THE PEN TO THE KING WHERES MY CROWN THATS MY BLING ALWAYS DRAMA WHEN I RING!!!!!”

“Bro actually thought he ate.” Tom Paris said while laying on the bio beds. He still had some lizard characteristics, such as the tail, so it was really hard for him to mew without having to change his gyatt position every 5 seconds. Janeway was there too, and as Tuvix looked at her, he realized he was blushing in the same way Kes and Chakotay were.

“Hey you beta!” Janeway called to The Doctor. “Who is this mf?”

The Doctor sighed. “Tuvok and Neelix got combined bruh.”

“Bro…that sucks.”

“REAL!” The Doctor exclaimed. “He doesn’t even like my music taste!”

Janeway mewed. “Blud no KSI song is a bop wtf man.”

Tuvix tried not to giggle, because Janeway was so rizzful.

“So, when are we gonna get Tuvok and Neelix back?” Janeway asked The Doctor.

“Soon,” he said, with a huge smirk on his face.

Chapter 4: THE EPIC EDGING BATTLE pt 1: Tom Paris is moaning

Janeway lowkey didn’t really care cause she was just a chill guy who lowkey didn’t really care.

The Doctor looked at Tom Paris.

Tom Paris moaned, “If you don’t hawk tuah, then I won’t talk tuah.”

The Doctor sighed and then proceeded to spit on that thang.

The Doctor looked at how dry and sad his toes were. “Only if it gives you aura.”

Meanwhile, Tuvix was watching Janeway and Kes fight. “THATS IT!” Janeway announced. “I CHALLENGE YOU…..TO AN EPIC EDGING BATTLE!!!”

The Doctor gasped. “Did I hear what I thought I heard?” He smiled. “Ah, I remember the first edging battle on this ship.”

Kes rolled her eyes.

The Doctor continued, “It was when we first lost our aura-“

“GRRRRRR!!!!” Janeway screamed. “SILENCE!!!” Tuvix watched quietly as Janeway and Kes edged violently. Kes moaned….Janeway moaned….they both moaned…. The Doctor was still getting Tom Paris oiled up. Tuvix was still worried about his aura points.

“Gyatttttt.” Said Tom.

“Bruh,” said The Doctor.

“Shush.”

“Okay…..Alpha.” Tom moaned freakily.

Suddenly someone yelled, “SKIBIDI TOILET!!! ENSIGN KIM IS PREGNANT!!”

Chapter 5: THE EPIC EDGING BATTLE pt 2: Ensign Kim is pregnant

“But how?” The Doctor asked. “He can’t be pregnant, he’s a man.”

B’elanna explained, “So you know that Quinn guy? Well it turns he and Harry Kim secretly fell in love and so Quinn used his magic aura points to make him pregnant.”

Harry Kim was furious. “Doctor, B’elanna is lying. Chakotay is the father.”

The Doctor lowkey didn’t really care, because he was still in the middle of massaging Tom’s lizard toes.

“Bruh,” Tom said to Kim, “YOU MOG SOMEONE ELSE, HUH?! YOU STUPID BETA! THATS IT, WERE NOT RIZZING NO MORE!!!”

Kim looked at him awkwardly, “Erm, we were never dating, what the sigma are you talking about? Also, why is The Doctor getting you oiled up?”

Tom was cooked.

Meanwhile, Janeway and Kes were still doing their epic edging battle. Janeway was edging so fast barely anyone could identify her aura. Kes got blinded by the light of her mewing. “NOOOO!!!” Said Kes, “AHHHHHH!!!” Janeway’s streak of edging light was so powerful that it lowkey ate and left no crumbs. Kes died.

“NOOOOOOO!!!!” B’elanna cried, “MY UWU COTTAGE CORE DISCORD KITTEN!!!!”

Harry smirked. “Maybe you shouldn’t have lied to The Doctor about who the father to my child is!!!”

“The gacha heat is wild.” Tuvix exclaimed.

“SHUT UP, TUVIX!!!! NO ONE LIKES YOU!!!” B’elanna yelled angrily.

Tuvix lost so much aura that he never won a dress to impress game ever again.

Chapter 6: Tuvix gets unalived I think

“Golly gee,” Janeway announced. “Looks like I won the epic edging battle.”

Tuvix blushed. “Now we can get 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂.”

The Doctor sighed. “Well, sorry to burst yer bubble, but I have just found a way to bring Tuvok and Neelix back. And also to make you lizard folk human again.”

“GRRRRRRR!!!!” said Janeway.

Tuvix knew what he had to do because queen never cry. “WAIT! THEY DONT LOVE YOU LIKE I LOVE YOU!!!!!!”

The Doctor side eyed bro. “Chat, I barely know you.”

Tuvix was lowkey cooked. He looked at the dead body of Kes. “Erm, shouldn’t we have a funeral for bro or smth?”

B’elanna blushed kawaii just thinking about her. Tom Paris started hitting the griddy. Harry was in labor. The Doctor was rewriting his program subroutines to emit the perfect jawline.

Tuvix sighed. No one cares about me. “Do it,” he said sadly, “Kill me. I deserve it. I’m a mistake.” He said to The Doctor.

“Just put the fries in the bag bro.”

Bro did the transporter thing and now Tuvok and Neelix are mewing again. The Doctor also cured Janeway and Tom’s incurable beta disease somehow.

“Erm, hi Mr. Vulcan, I mean…alpha male…I’m your discord kitten, right?” Neelix said in his gacha life male anime protagonist ahh voice.

“No, wtf-“ Tuvok was cut off as he heard Harry moan violently.

This Is What Happens When You Leave Two Crackshippers Starving and High on Copium

Summay:

Basically a brainstorming session between me and my friend that took a straight nosedive into complete lunacy that all began with a "Hey! Why don't we just give Wei Wuxian a high school reverse-harem AU? Wouldn't that be hilarious?!"

This was essentially the very first WWX-centric reverse-harem AU Heiyu (who you'll find on AO3) and I ever discussed. After checking the word count of that WHOLE freakin’ discussion, what led up to it and what conclusions were drawn, here are the results:

It had reached 6K+ words. We ended up crossing over with other danmei (TGCF, SVSSS and Word of Honor). The amount of pairings that would be produced if all the men in the harem decided to play human musical chairs would be 100+ pairings.

SO!!! Without further ado, I’m gonna go ahead and show anyone who's interested the whole discussion in its entirety, as well as the lore additions and you can all decide if you wanna pitch in, leave it be, or call Heiyu and I insane.

Here it is, the WWX-centric reverse-harem in Modern AU that nobody asked for!!! I hope you enjoy this!!!

Important Note: To anyone who's reading this thing, please bear in mind this is a DISCUSSION about a fic idea I had with a friend, Heiyu (also known as Jinyu). I just copy pasted our convo and you can see how that new verse expanded and was talked about. I briefly thought of writing an actual fic for this, but decided against it because it would just be so freakin' long!!! You'll understand what I mean in a minute.

Jinjin: SY and WWX are out there in the corner huddling over a book they read exchanging critique while SJ is in the walk-in closet obsessing over clothes. Once in a while he makes wwx stand in the centre of the room to see if the combo fits wwx's physique or not. 

Sylvie-Laoshi: First day with the three of them together and they've already got a nice and comfortable (almost domestic you might say!) dynamic down. 😂 😂 😂. 

Jinjin: The next day, everyone is blown away when wwx comes to school the next day.

On that same day, LQG was supposed to have a fierce training session with a champion from a rival school at the same time as WWX's tennis lesson, but the rival delayed (and nobody told LQG)....So! LQG goes to the tennis court, on his A-game, thinking that the raven head on the other side was his opponent, served......and knocked WWX to the ground, giving him a concussion because he hit the ball too hard (WWX didn't see it coming). LQG had to carry him to the nurse's office. 🤣 🤣 It's soooooo dumb. But also soooooo LQG..... 😂

Jinjin: This would be so precious 😂 LQG would feel so very guilty after this!

Sylvie-Laoshi: HE WOULD! The next few weeks, WWX keeps getting mysterious packages of spicy snacks in his school locker and doesn't know who keeps putting them in there! (LQG asked around and found out that WWX likes spicy food. This is his way of apologising). 🤣

Jinjin: He is a bit emotionally constipated and can't say sorry to his face thus begins the take of the secret snack provider. One day wwx gets to school early and hides behind another row of lockers just to see who was leaving him snacks. When he finds LQG he shouts "it's you!!". Maybe both of them like spicy snacks and that becomes their bonding point.

Sylvie-Laoshi: Yeaaaaah! New head-canon for LQG!!! 🤣 🤣 Now for LBH, I think I FINALLY have a meet-cute for him....

One day, WWX woke up REALLY late (maybe it was right after the concussion episode and his body-clock hasn't fully recovered yet). He runs to the kitchen to prepare his own lunch-box (usually his mom would help him with that, but she already went off to work, probably thinking that WWX's ALREADY at school and not over-sleeping). During recess, WWX goes to the school's rooftop for some peace and quiet since his head was still pounding (cliche as hell, I know). He sits down there and cracks open his lunchbox, about to start a meal, when he hears a new voice exclaiming: "HOW did a simple congee came out to be THAT shade of red?!" WWX snaps his head in the voice's direction and finds another kid, just huddling there in his corner, several books open infront of him (doing HOMEWORK during recess! WWX thinks disbelievingly), inspecting WWX cooking style (or lack thereof). 

LBH nods to himself and asks: "You have anything after school?"

WWX: "No...?"

LBH: "Good. Meet me in the cooking club once you're done with your last class."

Jinjin: Cliche but nice!! 😆 Wwx was so bewildered with this person suddenly bossing him around and LBH was dying inside with each bite wwx takes of that red monstrosity.

Sylvie-Laoshi: LBH is probably thinking to himself that WWX has no taste buds. How else could he eat that and NOT gag?!

Lan twins are old money which comes with responsibility. Same for Shen twins. They will no doubt make time for wwx but work is not going to leave them be. WN is probably going to pursue a medical degree and we know the condition of medical students. He will be there but mostly tired. HC is new money and needs to keep up with his company and YY is of course with him. HX will have the same problem and he is alone so that's a greater problem. SQX is either going to be an actor or a model, both of which will take a lot of time. WKX (is he old or new money?) has a lot of open options but I think he will open a bookshop maybe with a dream of owning his own Library. LBH is definitely going to become a cook and his most time out of all of them.

Sylvie-Laoshi: Hmm. Both of WKX’s parents are doctors (since they were healers in canon) but WKX didn't wanna pursue the same career-path as his parents. So yeah. Let's go with the bookshop option. ❤️

Jinjin: Sweet XL is definitely going to be an activist with the UN or something. He is also old money.

Sylvie-Laoshi: That suits him so well! ☺️

Jinjin: All this to say they are all very busy and won't be with wwx at the same time except for maybe new years and Christmas and such festivals. They buy a big house contributing their own share from their first salaries and live in the same place (for wwx of course) 

Though we can say this harem has side canon pairings too. Or fanon.

Sylvie-Laoshi: Yesss! Let the HuaLian, Beefleaf, Bingqui (he can have both twins if he wants), WenZhao ships thrive at the same time! (And maybe they can mix it up a bit too! HC & HX, XL & SQX, LWJ & LBH and so on and so on. I feel like we're gonna need to make several charts JUST to keep track of all the pairings.... 😂

Jinjin: I think so too 😂 They’re all gonna be a big happy gen z family 😂

Sylvie-Laoshi: Also, I counted how many harem members (if you include SWD, XY and ZZ) then that would be 19 boyfriends/lovers/husbands for our dear WWX. I do NOT feel an ounce of pity whatsoever!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

Further Lore for the Other Harem Members: 

1. Zhou Zishu (Word of Honor): Jinjin suggested that WKX and ZZS could be one of the few established couples before any of the reverse-harem drama happened. WenZhou were childhood sweethearts that officially started dating while in middle school. WKX was the one who introduced WWX to ZZS, after they both start catching feelings, they decide to ‘experiment’ by having an open-relationship (they are oddly one of the few ‘mature’ members of the harem). And thus starts the arc of the most ‘experienced’ couple in the harem taking turns wooing WWX. Sometimes double combo-ing by smoothly inviting WWX to after school hangouts. Since WenZhou lived their whole lives in that town and they’re just tryna show the ‘new kid’ around~

ZZS can be the head of a fencing and/or mixed martial arts club. Unfortunately, I don’t think there would be a club for alcohol brewing. Not in a SCHOOL!!!)

Also, ZZS can drink WWX under the table. I’m SURE of it!!! )

2. Mo Xuanyu (MDZS): Jinjin had the brilliant idea of making MXY an underclassman who joins a year after WWX and was bullied in his previous school for both being gay and having a teen single mother. It keeps to his canon-pathos, but thankfully he’ll find acceptance in the harem/this lunacy of a group.

3. Xue Yang (MDZS): It was suggested that XY could be a foster kid/orphan who got into the school via a scholarship. It makes him the odd one out who had to use his wits and genius and claw his way up to where he is now. He’s a loner, a guy who just likes to unsettle people with dark ‘jokes’ for shits and giggles AND is the head of chemistry club. Makes perfect sense, the most dangerous place in a school that one can imagine are near acids, fire, reactive metals and what not. And maybe he has a similar obsession with chemicals and explosions like Maomao from Apothecary Diaries. Could be a nice zainey reference to his canon insanity. The only other thing he would be obsessed with is WWX and maybe Meng Yao/JGY.

4. Nie Huaisang (MDZS): Another friend made a hilarious suggestion, where NHS is the one who shows up to meetings, but has no official job. Everyone wonders why he is there and when asked he says: “Da-ge is my ride.” (or something equally ridiculous). Everyone assumes since he’s the lazy little brother who has average grades and whines whenever he’s given any sort of task, that he’s just an unambitious wimp. But as it turns out he was behind several betting pools about who would date WWX first, what kind of dates they would be, who would start in-fighting within the harem first, who would WIN in a fight and so on. NMJ still wonders to this day how NHS made so much money (their parents refused to give him any more pocket-money as punishment for his shit grades). Also, imagine everyone's shocked expressions when they find out NHS sideled his way into the harem with hardly anyone noticing (he just couldn't standby and watch from the sidelines anymore. )

5. Shi Wudu (TGCF): Jinjin and I decided on a very (un)subtle canon reference by making SWD head of the swimming club. One of the most common clubs in schools + it TOTALLY won’t leave room for very wet and juicy descriptions. (Jinjin said it, not me ). For added tension in the harem, SWD was gunning for head of the fashion club, but Shen Jiu beat him to the punch and now SWD has a SJ-sized chip on his shoulder. Plus, SWD has been dubbed the school’s resident ‘bastard’ and ‘unapologetic villain’. 

This is due to what he apparently ‘did’ to He Xuan’s sister. Soooooo, anyways SWD used to date HX’s sister (briefly) THEN rumor had it that they had this big dramatic breakup where the sister ended up heartbroken, all these allegations would start circulating in the school’s rumor mill. How SWD would often blow off HX’s sister, forgetting to pick her up for their dates, if she sends him a text, he’ll respond hours or even DAYS later, how he keeps forgetting what her favourite snacks and one time gave her a candy that she was apparently allergic to. 

Essentially, the rumours say that he was a SHIT boyfriend and that resulted in all the girls and guys in the school saying that SWD is a “ No-go Zone”. Basically a “date at your own peril” kinda person. Aaaaannnnnndddd. Of course HX has a huge, deep seated hatred over the guy who ‘seemingly’ treated his sister like shit. BUT….As it turns out, they were ‘fake dating’. SWD was doing the sister a solid, so that she can go and date Yushi Huang and Ling Wen (who are in SWD’s friend group). HX’s sis wanted to hide the fact that she was into women because she was afraid her family wouldn’t accept it. Soooooo yeaaahhhhh …. . 

That’s all I could come up with. SWD is still a bastard because he’s perfectly fine being portrayed as the ‘villain’ in the whole school and deliberately hams it up. (It makes it easier for him to get rid of all the stupid girls who keep leaving him love letters. They can FINALLY leave him alone!!!) AND we can have the HX x SWD ship later on without it being super problematic (*whispers* like in canon….). Also, we can make HX’s sister older than him by two years. SWD is older than everyone by one year and still has one final year to go before graduating high school.

The Pet Owners in this Verse:

1. HX can have pet fish (because of course).

2. The Lans can have bunnies. (Jinjin brilliantly thought of Mama Lan running a bunny café. The Lan Twins visit the place to keep the bunnies company during closing hours + it’s one of their favourite places to do their studies in).

3. Ling Wen can have an owl (scholar god reference and all that)

4. Yushi Huang can have an ox (maybe she and her family own a couple of farms + livestock.)

5. Maybe the Shen Twins can have guinea pigs. (Because Shen Yuan fell in love with them as a kid and the only way he could get his parents to agree is if BOTH twins want it, SY looks at Shen Jiu with the biggest puppy-dog eyes he could muster, SJ caved and said ‘sure’ *sigh*).

6. Some of the characters' spiritual weapons can be cats (Bichen, Shuoyue, Ruoye, E-Ming, Suibian, Chenqing and so on). And HC, XL, LWJ & LX can have cats from the same litter that was abandoned in front of the school just before WWX arrived. The last two of the litter (Chenqing and Suibian) attach themselves to WWX . XL’s and the twins’ parents wouldn't allow them to take in the cats so they take care of them at the back of the school as a “bonding experience” between them. Bichen, Shuoyue, E-Ming and Ruoye can latch onto WWX like their owners did).

ll coffee shop au: Song Lan/Lan Xichen. Hurt/comfort, falling in love

Song Lan is struggling over the very recent death of his boyfriend, Xiao Xingchen. It had been coming as Xingchen had been sick, but even knowing he had been dying, had not given Song Lan the time to deal with it. Its onlg been a month.

He works mutliple jobs, needing to stay busy. He's not doing well, doing the bare minimum to take care of himself. He hardly sleeps and he hasn't had a full meal since Xingchen passed. He's thin and haggard. Even Xingchen's younger siblings (his sister lives with Song Lan) cannot help him and are unable to even make him wat a meal.

In the mornings, he works at a coffee shop as a Barista. Its a small shop so there is only ever just him at the counter. 

Lan Xichen has only just come out of a three year long seclusion. He lost his husband to a car accident and had locked himself away to deal with his grief and guilt. 

Due to his brother and brother-in-law worrying over him so much, he had decided to try and open up again. 

He begins to go back to the office to work instead of working virtually. 

Every morning he goes to get himself a fancy little tea or coffee, as a treat and a reward for leaving his home. 

When he meets Song Lan for the first time, he just KNOWS. He can see it in the exhaustion in his face, the sadness. Xichen has gone through it all.

He worries a bit as even he hadn't gotten to the point that this man was at, ghastly thin and looking like he hadn't slept.

Despite his own pain and mourning, Xichen begins to care for Song Lan. He let's himself focus on the younger man, bringing him vitamins and homemade soups. It helps him adjust as he now has something to focus on, someone to care for.

Song Lan begins to open up, almost immediately. Lan Xichen has a gentleness to him that reminds him of Xiao Xingchen, a caring nature and kind disposition. He starts to find reason in life as Xichen comes to have lunches with him and takes him to the park for picnic dinners so they can watch the sun set. 

It will be a comforting and healing story where both men learn to overcome their grief with each other and learn to love again after such great loss. 

sx breakup: SongXiao. Angst. Modern au.

Song Lan and Xiao Xingchen's relationahip is strained. Song Lan works long hours and often doesn't even come home. He wants to give his husband a bwtter life, so he works hard to do so.

Xingchen feels neglected. He would rather have Song Lan home with him than working. He allows a coworker to shower him in the affection his husband will not (compliments, flowers, nothing physical) and brings home a bouquet of roses to show Song Lan that he deserves these thinfs and that others will give them to him if he won't).

They have their first real fight and due to miscommunication on both sides, and they end up breaking off their engagement. Here is a little exceprt:

Song Lan’s head hurt. His chest was aching. “Why are we even doing this anymore Xingchen-? You… You obviously aren’t happy anymore- If you wanted to break up, you could have just said so- I would… I won’t stop you…” Song Lan was trembling. His ears were ringing and his lungs burned. Why am I saying this? The man felt like he was too late. He had already lost Xingchen and his affections. He knew he had been working too much but he was trying to get a promotion in his company. He wanted to give them a more secure future, to allow Xingchen to work less so he could spend more time on his hobbies. Song Lan felt like a fool. 

Xingchen’s eyes hardened and he grimaced at the other man. “All you had to do was tell me that you were done with me! Don’t make it seem like this is my decision- If you don’t want me, then I won’t stay, Zichen. You only take me out for our anniversary or holidays- You only tell me you love me when you’re on business trips! You…” Xingchen swallowed, looking away from the man he had wanted to spend his future with. “I know what I’m worth, Zichen-” Xingchen felt his heart breaking. I want him to love me the way he did when we were younger. “You just stay with me because its easier than breaking up-”

“Xingchen, that’s not true!” Song Lan was trying to force himself to move but he felt frozen in place. “I love you! I never stopped! Please, can we just talk about this?” 

“I’m done talking about this, Zichen…” Xingchen had turned away from Song Lan and walked over to their closet, pulling his suitcase from the top shelf. “You act jealous when another man gives me attention but I guarantee that you’ll forget about me while you pursue your damn job-”

This takes place in a fantasy version of our modern world.

Zhou Zishu is a mer, much like in Luca (has legs and a tail, can become human out of water). He had first left the ocean to get away from the pain caused by the deaths of his entire family. Humans. Pollution. He was the last of his bloodline alive and that was too much for him to handle. 

He discovered human alcohol after overhearing fisherman talk about its numbing effects and quickly becomes an alcoholic.

Months pass this way and he is making bad life decision after bad life decision. Then, he is forced to go to Alcoholic Anonymous meetings by an old friend, Han Ying.

At these meetings, he meets a elven man that much like him, has been dealt a bad card at life. Wen Kexing, the prince of his kingdom; is miserable and his only reason for living is to get revenge on the human emperor that had killed his father. He goes to the AA meeting because he is trying to gather information on one of the Emperor's knights. Meeting Zhou Zishu just happens to give him something to live for and he is determined to help the mer stop his drinking habit and turn his life around.

There is only a few paragraphs of plot written so I do not have an excerprt for this, It has been in my drafts since 2023.

Even if he want to stay out of trouble, the troubles follow him. He doesn't know martial arts. Once he's involved, he always ended up hurt and injured repeatedly. How did he even survive? ...I should have protected him.

LouZuo and YuKe's color choice difference is like heaven and earth lol LouZuo is warm and YuKe is cold. LouZuo felt like summer or spring while YuKe is winter or autumn. LouZuo is the sun and YuKe is the moon.
